So, this was at the "I Love LA" Eaton Fire Relief benefit, with all proceeds going towards the Sweet Relief Musicians fund. The whole thing was co-produced by Mike Viola, they kept Brendon's name off their social media post, so there answers any question about why no one knew about it.

You can tell that this was a Mike Viola line-up, look at John C Reilly being up there (those who know, you know why).

For musicians out there you notice I like the Flat 5, I like that a lot [...] but now I use it in this next song (Local God). The original chords didn't have that and when I put it in there it was just Brendon and I laughing and the song just unrolled as we went, which is some of the most fun I've ever had co-writing in my life [...] So this is a song I wrote with Brendon Urie and Jake Sinclair who taught me how to clean my clothes in the sink. We wrote it about a fictitious character that I knew and a fictitious character that he knew, like a paradigm. Someone in my home town, but then slowly it sort of became about me and him in different roles, sort of you know, but I'm related to this song deeply.

Album Review: Andrew Bird and Madison Cunningham - Cunningham Bird

Listening to Cunningham Bird, it’s tempting to imagine producer Mike Viola providing Andrew Bird and Madison Cunningham with the lyrics and backstory to Buckingham Nicks and turning the multi-instrumentalist Bird and guitarist Cunningham loose in the studio to create something modern of the 1973 LP

Ignored by virtually everyone upon release, except, it seems, Mick Fleetwood, Buckingham Nicks quickly faded into obscurity as Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks skyrocketed to fame with Fleetwood Mac. And though FM re-recorded BN’s “Crystal” for its eponymous 1975 LP and “Don’t Let Me Down Again” occasionally made the setlist, the songs virtually disappeared as Buckingham Nicks languished on vinyl, never to be remastered, reissued or made available for streaming.

Recreating the album for a 21st-century audience of folks who either remember or never heard Buckingham Nicks, Bird and Cunningham defy convention. Bird is as likely to sing Nicks’ words (“Long Distance Winner”) as Cunningham is to sing Buckingham’s, as she does on “Lola (My Love).”

Musically, the new duo may, as on the instrumental “Stephanie,” or may not (“Crying in the Night”) retain the old duo’s melodies. Whatever the tack on a given number, Cunningham Bird replaces Buckingham Nicks’ country, folk-rock arrangements and instrumentation with neo-classical Americana, which results in such left-field ideas as violin coming off the bench for guitar on “Don’t Let Me Down Again.”

It’s a daring approach that initially seems unwise and unsuccessful and eventually reveals itself as brilliant.

look...before drama starts because of this let me be clear,I will not hear any person who hates Brendon urie out and I am not looking for trouble. This was me finally saying my peace after spending the last almost 5 years of people shitting on Brendon for no reason other than because they can..and like honestly I see why he left because if he didn't people would still shit on him and now that he's gone that's all yall haters do...I'm sick of seeing shit like that,as if there aren't worse people out there you could direct your hate on,but no you pick Brendon Urie...so yea this was my breaking point seeing idiots still hating on him even after proof came out that not only is Brendon Urie innocent but the people who accused him were extremely terrible and deplorable people,and if you're looking for proof of this there are huge threads around tumblr and reddit showing proof of Brendon's innocence and Dallon and the accusers past behavior. I'm not gonna hear anyone out who will keep spewing hatred about a band that is about change and love.

I really hope when Panic plays at WWWY that there's absolutely none of those Ryan Ross dickriders or Brendon haters...we don't need no idiotic bitchless losers ruining the fun for the actual true fans of Panic! At The Disco. And I say that without shame or fear you are genuinely the most fake fan if you hate Brendon Urie. You will listen to baseless claims and lies to fulfill your sick desires to cause drama then stand there like an idiot continuing to believe lies because you would rather believe in your little worldview where some make believe story from Wattpad is true of evil and good,a little shitty story made for children who can't grasp the concept of greyness and can't accept the fact that Brendon and Ryan are friends who wanted to do different music.....I could go on but yea no if you hate Brendon Urie and continue spewing false claims that were disproven but act all high and mighty about hating Brendon Urie then sincerely go fuck yourself,especially from my account,you're not welcome in mine or any Panic!
