If other band members can have months to themselves and not "rush to the miIitary asap" having their albums spaced out I see no reasonable reason why FACE got 10 days without any freedom to have more music videos or time. Unless pjm2 is coming but lol..not holding my breath after everything I have seen this past month when it comes to Jimin and the way his work is being handeled.
And that's all I'm going to say about this

can i confess something
despite being online when the terms pr/sh/p and ant/ were conceived bc i was in mostly oc circles i had no idea that fandom at large became so polarized until relatively recently and think the whole thing is stupid
like
i sincerely hope that ka/sh/n implodes those terms permanently bc not only are they not helpful at all they lead to a lot of assumptions over the character and morals of strangers
i noticed bc someone straight up was like “it’s like a philosophical thought problem; is it still okay to ship them if we didn’t know they were cousins for 20+ years?” and other people “uhhh i swear i’m not pr/sh/p but i’m gnna ignore the canon and au they’re not related!!” and i’m just sitting here like
.. do you see how fucking dumb those terms are and how much stock people put in to their media consumption as a reflection of their morals and how that just Doesn’t Work 😭 ?????
like YES i will avoid certain ship content i don’t like; i’ll block accounts that center on characters i don’t want to see; i DO NOT engage with people who like certain media that i think is cringe — but i can do all of these things w/o attacking them which i think is what a lot of people need to learn idk..???
do i think certain people are freaks?? yes!!! duh!! but i feel like esp w/ eng speaking fandom spaces no one minds their own business or truly curates their own space or they think curating their space means controlling who their mutuals follow or engage with
like.
unless it is someone who’s TRULY horrible then it’s not my business?? like i think there’s a difference between your mutual following someone who draws r18 of a ship you don’t like and your mutual following an outed predator or whatever and in that case i’m not picking a fight w/ them i’m just blocking and moving on
i’m getting off track but i HATE the terms pr/sh/p and ant/ bc they’re completely disregard the fact that people can think for themselves and again impose very polarized morals on people who are NUANCED and probably dgaf if i’m gnna be real 💀
idk it reminds me of the person who pissed me tf off bc they were like “brav/rn seems cool but uhm the miIitary??? 🫤🫤🫤” and implied that anyone who watched it was endorsing pro-miIitary propaganda when the show isn’t even about that at all they just want to virtue signal and say i’m smart for not falling for …. nonexistent propaganda ???
in the end it really isn’t that complicated and it isn’t anyone’s job to curate your space for you. block and mute content and accs who post things you dislike. you don’t have to fight about it. maybe stop defining others and yourself based off what you’re shipping or consuming like idk!! the block feature is quick easy put the pr/sh/p ant/ terms away
i just think it’s crazy like i blinked and the etiquette of just blocking or ignoring content you dislike was replaced with
whatever this is
and i’m sorry but i think it’s hilarious that it took something like this to fully expose how pointless those terms and that attitude in general are

Commander of Special Forces gets told the honest truth
COMMENTARY:
Equity is the closest any human system of justice can come to divine justice. If we can achieve Equity, God will sort out the difference. The Bill of Rights and the Uniform Code of Miiitary Justice are both anchored by EQUiTY. The standard for Equity to which the Sergeant Major refers  is a stoic dimension established by the Roman Legions by a Roman general, Titus Manlius Imperiosus Torquatus who executed his son for disobedience. This is a Wikipedia summary of the event: >>>>During the conduct of the war, Manlius and his co-consul, Publius Decius Mus, decided that the old military discipline would be reinstated, and no man was allowed to leave his post, under penalty of death. Manlius's son, seeing an opportunity for glory, forgot this stricture, left his post with his friends, and defeated several Latin skirmishers in battle. He brought the spoils back to his father, who publicly berated him for disobedience and had him executed. "Manlian discipline" afterwards became an expression for merciless upholding of rules<<<< (Wikipediea https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Titus_Manlius_Imperiosus_Torquatus) Now, as I say, this standard of EQUITY is the anchor of both the civilian rule of law and the military justice system, Socretes submitted himself to the Athenian secular rule of law as an object lesson in the essential basis of democracy. Jesus submitted Himself to both the Law of Moses and to the Roman rule of law as an endorement and validation of Socretes example. In this respect, the Declaration of Indepences is anchored by 6 Ideals of Democratic Socialism to replace the Magna Carta of Tory Socialism:'s Life Liberty and Property/ John Locke identifies. Thos 6 Ideals are: Life Liberty, Fraternity, Equaulity, EQUITY, and the Pursuit of Happiness. The 6 white stripes of Old Glory symbolize those Ideals. The 6 red stripes are the blood of the Patriots at Yorktown who sanctified those Ideals. The 2nd Amendment represents the Constitutional boundary between the Bill of Rights and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. The "well regulated militia' claused in the 2nd Amendment refers specividally to thie Ideal of EQUITY of the Miitary Justice System. It has nothing to do with private gun ownership. Furthermore, the EQUITY ideal is what is expressed by the E in Mark Cuban's DEI/ZenBusiness Model, Prject 2025 is opposed to EQUITY as it may apply to white supremaicests. The concept of EQUITY in this regards has obviously never occurred to Trump. J.D. Vance was a Marine, so it’s hard to know wht he believes. The Army has been a DEI insttuion since Truman integrated the federal government, The US Army Ranger School is based on  DEI performance thechnology.

still unhappy with this post but i don't want to edit it further. here some barely coherent extra thoughts—note: i'm fucking sick.
(...) but reverted into being a soldier, and they're not supposed to think;
...but they obviously do. is easy for soldiers or anyone following orders to just say "i did what i was told", and social experiments have found out that most people will just do, that, washing their hands out of responsability. after all, we teach kids since the beginning to obey, right? yeah, but this is also bullshit. anyone is capable of evil, soldiers during war or unrest times feel justified (that's why the miIitary shouldn't exist but that's just my opinion) (i know is not that easy)...
Tumblr media
why making only one brother the "stick in the mud"? other interpretation would have had both being like that. i guess hima always put emphasis in pru "doing whatever he wanted", by what the bios say. but the blind obedience that followed whoever was in charge, the miIitarism, the hierarchy, was pru.ssian (btw ever read about the Captain of Köpenick?)
i kinda lost my train of thoughts. back to the military, and to the time of those uniforms, while hima started the webcomic with the stories about the itaIian military (he.tare/useless-itaIia-hetaIia), and it started as a comedy with often sexual humor, that didn't limit itself to only ww.ii even back them, well. i think all he.ta people would be heta.re—good-for-nothing, irresponsible, often caring more about saving their own skin, never doing enough at the time—so, the 'uwu poor guys' doesn't completely convince me when is taken more seriously (like yes their position would suck, being always managed, but, hima nearly always made them soldiers; govts special immortal dogs). i think they would a bunch of entitled people, also capable of good (guardians), but terrible, more or less, some more than others, depending of the period/power...
what else? the "poor germ.ans it was all hitIer" drives me insane, same with the "one branch was evil the other was just soldiers"
"Most people dislike wars and feel the world would be a better place without them. Yet contempt for cowardice seems to move them on a far deeper level. After all, desertion (...) is probably the greatest threat to wars of conquest. (...) Yet even those who claim to hate war often feel uncomfortable celebrating desertion."

All those terminally divorced middle aged freaks and grifters crowing on about “miiitary aged men” among immigrants and refugees in Ireland would never, EVER themselves volunteer to fight if Ireland was invaded.
(And they know it. Whether they want to admit it or not remains to be seen.)
They’d either get on a plane and run away to Australia (and never come back) or collaborate with the invaders.
Just saying.
(Also before any shithead armchair colonel wants to ask if I’d fight, look at my political ideology and work backwards from there, figure it out your own damn self!)

Summon Away | Writing Update
Hey People of Earth!
The day has come! I am finally writing an update on the fifteenth and final chapter of Moth Work, which I wrote about a month ago!
Tumblr media
Summon Away is probably the shortest in the book at just over 1800 words, and also one of my faves because it’s so?? tender?? I wrote it in one sitting and couldn’t have asked for a better end to this book. Here’s a scene breakdown:
Scene A:
Harrison sees Lonan for a soft moment early in the morning, free of the stress of Eliza lmaooo. They have a super tender moment, however there’s this strange tension to the point where we know something isn’t exactly right.
Harrison moves the scene along by saying he’s going to grab a pack of cigarettes from a gas station down the road. From the context, we can probably tell this is true, except he ain’t coming back. Probably the most sweepingly dramatic moment I’ve ever written and I’m here for it loool. This is my soap opera moment where Harrison essentially leaves Lonan to have his new relationship with Eliza, despite his concern, because he’s gotta make a decision that’s healthiest for him and that’s called character development folks!!
Did I break my own heart breaking up my OTP :) yes!!!
Scene B:
This is a really short half scene where Harrison locates his mother who doesn't live far from Eliza’s apartment.
Scene C:
Harrison and his mother sit outside on her balcony and he reflects on his decision to split (literally a trend that all my Fostered characters are yeeting away from each other oops) while watching people below engage in some form of a relationship with one another. So much drama!!
The chapter gets its title from a Nothing But Thieves song (why would it not at this point), Tempt You (Evocatio). I was struggling to title this chapter because I needed something that fit the vibe, and had actually tried to use the concept of an evocation to title a chapter for this book previously to no avail. However, after revisiting the Wikipedia article for an evocation, I came across the definition of “summon away”:
The Latin word evocatio was the "caIIing forth" or "summoning away" of a city's tutelary deity. The rituaI was conducted in a miIitary setting either as a threat during a siege or as a result of surrender, and aimed at diverting the god's favor from the opposing city to the Roman side, customariIy with a promise of a better-endowed cuIt or a more Iavish Tempie.
I thought this concept of “summoning away” sounded slightly contradictory (the word summon brings images of a coming forth of some sorts, while the word away sounds like the opposite at least to me am I making this more *metaphorical* than it is perhaps) and I really thought the chapter strangely fit the above definition, hence my choosing!
Excerpts:
This is kind of torture because I dearly miss writing the boys interacting as they’re not with each other in Feeding Habits the angstttt:
Tumblr media
“What is that?” Harrison asks, pulling back a barstool with one hand, while pointing at the mug with another.
Lonan glances up, and the two mutually analyze each other. Lonan’s puckered skin, how morning makes his eyelashes papery, like wings. He wonders what Lonan sees in him—for a moment, it’s all he wants to know.
Lonan knuckles the mug over and Harrison picks it up like he’s holding an eyeball. The tea is hot, though Lonan hasn’t seemed to mind, and its flowery perfume burns Harrison’s throat. Lonan pulls the mug back to him when Harrison’s done, and takes another sip.
“I still have no idea,” Harrison says, and to his shame, studies Lonan’s face for a bite wound.
“Earl grey.”
“Sounds fancy.”
“It expired four years ago.”
Harrison gasps, and Lonan almost smiles. And for a moment, Harrison almost forgets where he is. What happened at this counter just a few hours prior. With Lonan, it almost disappears. They could be back at the cabin, needling through the woods on that first day they tried to get rid of the dark room. They could be in the water, shielding, yet simultaneously pushing each other under. They could be dancing to no music in a tiny bathroom or driving for carless miles in the tarnish of rain.
This is my very overt metaphor that I bullshitted to title this novel that ended up working being very overtly injected into this book !! :))) but imagine this part with a sepia filter and it’s actually a silent film with captions oh:
Tumblr media
“I found this article,” Lonan says, and turns the paper over. It’s not very long, just a small corner of the entire page, but Harrison sees the title, all bolded, Summer’s Dreaded Pesk: 10 Facts About Moths. He leans in closer to read it.
The facts are almost all useless to him—that moths like sweet things, that there are thousands of species, that many don’t eat, but what sticks out to him is the last: how they’re attracted to light. Harrison skims the text with his fingernail, reads something about light traps, and tries not to think of how unfortunate it all is—to move toward light and then stop moving altogether.
He knows whatever he will say will keep him here, in this sun, on this barstool, reading the newspaper about moths, sitting next to Lonan, drinking his tea, never knowing what flavour it is. Harrison inhales, and on his exhale, unclasps the chain and drapes it around Lonan’s throat.
When the angel hits Lonan’s chest, a sound comes out of his mouth that Harrison thinks is almost animal. Harrison’s hand lingers on the back of Lonan’s neck when he clasps it, feeling the pulse of Lonan’s heartbeat, even from all the way up here.
Lonan clutches the angel when Harrison pulls back, and he doesn’t let go, even when Harrison rises.
“I’m going to grab a pack of cigarettes,” Harrison says. “Is there a gas station around here?”
“Just up the road.” Lonan’s brows furrow.
“Do you want anything?”
“I don’t think so.”
Harrison nods. Then he steps back, away from the kitchen, and slips his shoes on, one by one, more carefully than he’s ever done before. He knows Lonan looks at him. He knows what’ll be in his eyes if he looks up—and so he doesn’t. Harrison checks his jacket pocket for his car keys, and when they jangle, he turns toward the door.
“How long?”
Lonan’s voice makes him jump.
“Pardon?”
“How long will you be gone?”
Harrison frowns. “I’m just grabbing a pack of cigarettes.”
So Harrison’s reaction to everything being white and gold is my reaction to modern decoration loool this is just CNF at this point:
Harrison buys the pack of cigarettes. And then the gum. And then he finds his mother.
She isn’t hard to locate. A quick question at the checkout counter, and he finds out the apartment complex near the public garden is only a fifteen-minute drive away.
It’s just as he pictures it. A white building, with a white lobby, the bricks white, the carpets white, the tables white. In little places, there are bits of gold, in place he doesn’t think gold should be—lining the keyboard the security guard types at, on the edges of every window so it’s only visible when the sun flashes.
And at last, here’s the final paragraph of the book!!! angst!!
Tumblr media
His mother reads. Harrison watches. A father and son down below, who take turns walking their golden retriever. A food stand vendor that hands a stack of checked tissues to a mother wrangling four small children. A couple who take photos in front of a fountain, how he can almost hear the mechanical click of their camera from fifty feet up. Something stirs inside of him, at the thought of Lonan back in that golden apartment, and he only realizes what it is much later, when his mother is heating up something spiced and leftover in the microwave. The feeling like being buried alive and wanting to do it again just so someone can pull you out. A loneliness he sucks on until his mouth sores.
And there it is!! This book has been so much fun to share with y’all! Thanks for reading these updates and for all the love for this novel. I haven’t written anything for book two in a while, and am now feeling nostalgic to do so, so keep an eye out for more Moth Work related endeavors! For now this is the end!

There was infinitely more evidence of Benghazi than Russiagate
there was a bigger scandal in how the USA unilaterally destabilized the country itself beyond the guidelines of “no-fly zone” that the UN granted the coalition.. like, the airstrike on gaddafi’s convoy fleeing sirte.
republicans decided to shit bricks over an impossible situation that was a byproduct of that for impotent political circus
both are to distract relative parties with trumped up non-issues that are so intractable and cyclical that endless fuel can be puton it without it ever leading to anything.
benghazi was a shit issue and it only got any traction becuase in the end, it just served to make the USA’s miiitary industrial complex even greater.

Again, I will emphasis. I hate the new Gronk commercials. Not because I want to endorse the military per say but because I find the attempted humor in the commercials hugely disrespectful. There are certainly enough corrupt military to be hesitant but there is also the ones that do it for the right reasons (or enough of them) to still warrant the respect of the services allotted to them. It makes zero sense to play these ads that more likely further alienize the “good” portion of the miiitary.

THE IMPACT OF FOREIGN PRESSURES ON NIGERIA’S DEMOCRATIZATION PROCESS: 1995-1998
Abstract:
The study’s main thrust was the analysis of the impact of the limited economic sanctions imposed against Nigeria because of the obnoxious policies of the Abacha military government. After North Korea invaded South Korea on 25 June 1950, United States armed forces fought to repel Communist aggression. President Harry Truman and his advisors, not wanting the conflict to escalate into World War III, had major concerns about mobilizing reserve forces, but ultimately decided that it was a military necessity and authorized mobilization in 19 increments beginning in July 1950. Hundreds of Army and Air National Guard units were mobilized, including the 40th Infantry Division of the California Army National Guard. The "Sunshine Division" mustered into Federal service 1 September 1950 at Camp Cooke, later renamed Vandenberg Air Force Base, California. The 40th Division deployed to Japan in the spring of 1951 and trained there for months while senior Army commanders debated employing the division in Korea as a unit or as individual replacements. Eventually, in January 1952, the 40th arrived in Korea and relieved the 24th Infantry Division in place, assuming control of its positions and equipment. By 1952 the war had evolved into static defensive combat of trench and bunker warfare and small unit patrolling. The 40th Division fought mostly in platoon and company actions in the Kumsong and Kumwha Valley sectors. Though relatively minor compared to earlier battles in Korea, these small unit actions were often violent and intense. Because of the delays in deploying to Korea, many of the original California Guardsmen began to rotate home in the Spring of 1952 and were replaced by draftees. By July only a few Guardsmen remained in Korea. The 40th fought at Heartbreak Ridge and was defending the northern edge of the "Punchbowl" as the armistice came in July 1953. Today's 40th Infantry Division of the California Army National Guard carries the Lineage and Honors of the "Sunshine Division" from the Korean War.
