SEVDALIZA. I’m still coming down from the transcending high of seeing @sevdaliza_ perform an intimate show on Friday night! Since the debut album ISON was released a couple of weeks ago I’ve had it on repeat, so immediately jumped at the chance to see her play at O’Meara in London Bridge. There’s a dichotomy in her lyrics + music that I gravitate towards, that synthesises the dynamic between power and vulnerability. Live, her emotionally powerful presence, captivating performance and sonic soundscape sent shockwaves through the room. It’s exciting to see a new artist who has an ability to really command an audience, it felt like every single person in the room was 100% present.
