PREVIOUSLY, on “With You”...
Oh, he liked the idea of getting under your skin. He liked it a lot.
“Really?” He teased. “You mean you don’t scare the shit out them in the middle of the night? Follow them around? Drive them crazy...wearing that?” He threw your words back at you.
What a little shit.
“No,” you steadily answered him, your gaze open and honest. “I guess I’m just here to drive you crazy.”
With little convincing, Jake got ready for bed, so he could join you in finally getting some rest. Your 3am alarm went off as he was washing up, so you silenced the one for 4:00.
Conveniently it was your day off, so no other alarm was set. Steven did have one class mid-day, but otherwise, also had the day off.
As Jake slid under the covers, you reached to turn off the bedside lamp. Then you were left in the same position you found yourself in that first night.
The night he held your hand.
Remembering what you'd whispered to him in the dark that night, you softly uttered, "I'm glad you came back to me, Jake."
"I'll always come back to you," he swiftly replied, his voice the softest you'd ever heard it.
Slowly, you reached for him, resting your hand over his. He immediately slid his fingers through yours, just like the first night, and whispered goodnight.
Jake always came home while you were asleep, and he didn't even front every day. Usually he was only there when Khonshu bid him take to the nighttime alleyways and rooftops, or when Marc and Steven were in an exorbitant amount of danger...
...which was unfortunately more often than either of them (or you) were aware. Marc had a long and colorful past, in which he'd made many enemies - some of them, through no fault of his.
Abused, with an undiagnosed disorder, there were sections of his life missing, and problems he just couldn't control. That, combined with blackouts from drinking and a mighty temper, when provoked, had left a trail of...unfortunate mishaps. And pissed off former associates and enemies.
Time eased many grievances, and Marc had handled several problems on his own, years ago. But even after Jake himself had dispensed with Arthur Harrow, there still lingered fingers of his network. And those weren't the only problems.
Just last week, Jake had disposed of a man who had followed you home from work two nights in a row. He simply watched the first night, choosing restraint, but after he saw the mysterious man following you a little too closely the second night, well - that man did not live to see a third.
At first, Jake wondered how Marc could be so naive. He expected that more from Steven. Well, not naivety, exactly, but a general "chin up" outlook on life that the he radiated.
Steven, although far more direct, outspoken and cautious than most people gave him credit for, was an overall ray of sunshine. In protecting the system, Jake wasn't just protecting his own body, or Marc, who he had known since his youth, he was protecting Steven - the one Marc simply could not do without.
And Jake supposed that's what it all came down to. Marc had settled into a beautiful domesticity with both you and Steven. And maybe that was why Marc couldn't perceive the danger you were all in.
Jake was happy to keep it that way. If Marc was not only safe, but thriving, if Steven was growing and learning, putting his beautiful mind to work, and the two of them had someone they loved? Then Jake had done his job. As long he stayed on top of things, it could all work out.
But the drinking relapse was a problem. And he hadn't counted on you meeting him.
Jake had often wondered how Marc and Steven - for lack of a better word - shared you. He wondered if they ever got jealous. Or if you ever showed any preference for one over the other. That's why he thought it best to stay out of it. Not only did he hope to keep his head down and do his job, he was concerned that getting mixed up with you would only confuse him.
That all went right to hell when he carelessly barreled into your bedroom the other night, having forgotten to have Marc or Steven check in with you earlier, or go to bed beside you. He was equally panicked and wonderfully elated for this mishap.
And now, as your soft breathing slowed, he tried to pretend this night was like every other time he'd slipped through the window to find you asleep.
But it wasn't and he couldn't.
He wished you were still awake. He wished he had more time to hear your voice, to watch the flurry of you around the room, picking up his things, worrying after him. Squeezing his eyes shut, he remembered the press of your body against his - the soft satin hugging your shape.
Shit. He could use a cigarette. Or maybe he could beat the hell out of someone.
It was difficult to blow off steam when Marc - a.k.a. their body - couldn't drink and with Marc and Steven engaged to you. Jake tried to respect that. He had the right to his own life, sure, but he just couldn't bring himself to "blow off steam" in that way since you got engaged. You weren't his, but he was faithful to you anyway.
As if sensing his irritation in your sleep, you rolled over, burying your face into his shoulder, snuggling up to him comfortably.
Jake was walking a very fine line between soothed and riled up. If your leg made its way across his thigh, he was going to lose his shit.
Only a few hours later, as the sun struggled to climb into a gray sky, you woke up, tangled in someone. Wondering who might greet you each morning always brought the tiniest smile to your face, but on this morning, just for a moment, you wondered if it was Jake.
Your body stiffened. Did you sleep like this for the past few hours? Did it bother him? You hadn't ever thought of what you might do in the night when Jake got home from his escapades.
As the man beside you continued to breathe evenly, in and out, you decided that three hours of sleep was definitely not enough.
Hours later, you awoke to the domestic sounds of the kitchen. You smelled cooked food and heard the sink's water running, along with the clang of a pot or saucepan.
The sun had made its way through the morning fog, and a sliver of it poured through the crack between the drawn drapes and the window.
After stretching like a very satisfied cat, you freshened up in the bathroom and headed back to your closet to decide what to wear for your day off.
Steven was waiting for you on your bed, perched on the edge.
"Morning, my love," he hummed cheerily, his eyes raking down your body appreciatively. "See you've got on those nice satin pajamas I gave you."
Glancing down at yourself, you softly smiled. "Indeed."
"You're so bloody lovely," he breathed, eyes darkening as he reached out his hand to beckon you back to bed.
Feeling absolutely adored and a little frisky, you skittered over, ready to pounce, when he held up two hands to stop you.
"Careful, darling, I've made you breakfast. Or brunch, rather. It's eleven o'clock," he laughed, nodding toward the tray sitting in the middle of the bed.
Eyes wide, you beamed - but it didn't stop you from climbing onto his lap, just...carefully.
"You are an angel." Locking your arms behind his neck, you dragged your hips forward until you were flush against his body. Rubbing your nose against his, you giggled as he chased after your lips.
"Feeling cheeky this morning, are we?" he tutted after trying and failing to kiss you a few times. "Come here, you." Gently gripping your face in one hand, he opened his mouth hotly over yours. Sucking your lips one at a time, he teased you right back, easing one strong arm around your back. His forearm flexed, holding you firmly as he thrust up against you.
"Steven," you gasped, shifting in his lap to feel him just where you wanted him. Licking into his mouth, you pushed your fingers into his curls, tugging just hard enough for him to jerk deliciously against you again.
The two of you went on that way until he laid back on the bed, pulling you on top of him.
"Steven, Steven, wait--"
Too late. The tray carrying your breakfast spilled all over the bed, some of the jam-covered toast landing on Steven's adorably oversized sleeve.
"Shit, I'm so sorry." Scurrying off the bed, you rapidly gathered up the mess, hands bumping into Steven's as he struggled to help you.
"Thank goodness I've left the tea on the table then, yeah?"
You burst out laughing.
You and Steven cleaned up the bed, finished breakfast (at the table) and dressed in cozy clothes for a day off together. Steven decided missing one class wouldn't hurt anything, since he had high marks in every course.
"Thank you for taking care of me this morning, my love," you sighed contentedly, draping your legs across his lap as you relaxed on the couch. "I noticed you pulled the drapes closed so I could sleep in."
"Oh...must've been Marc, I s'ppose," he mused, rubbing up and down your leg. "Wasn't me."
"Oh, okay. But it was you that cleaned up the broken bottle the other morning, right? Before I woke up and made breakfast for Marc?"
Steven's head whipped around so fast. "Sorry, what? Marc broke a bottle? Darling--"
"It wasn't like that, I promise. It was an accident," you soothed. Reaching for his hand, you squeezed it gently, forgetting, in that moment, who could have cleaned up the bottle.
"Everything's a bit odd lately, innit?" He spoke up after a few moments. "Khonshu scaring the life out of Marc like that, deceivin' us both. Bloody stupid pigeon."
"I'm sorry, baby." You felt a shade guilty having talked to Jake twice when Marc and Steven had yet to even meet him.
"Not your fault, love. The old bird's the one to blame. Him and this other mysterious bloke I've got up here." He tapped one finger to his forehead.
"Jake, you mean." You eyed him cautiously. Feeling like you hadn't seen Steven as much for the past few days, you felt the need to confess - catch him up. "I talked to him again last night. Did Marc tell you we'd met?"
Dark eyes cut over to yours - unreadable - a rarity in your warm and open Steven. "Didn't have to. Spoke to him myself."
You gasped a little dramatically. "Y-you talked to Jake? He talked to you?"
"A bit, yeah," Steven sighed. "A bit. Might have told us we were still entangled with Khonshu so Marc didn't have to wake up in an alley like that. It's no bloody wonder he's had a rough go of it."
Gently rubbing your thumb over his knuckles, you inched a little closer to him on the couch. "So...you're angry with him then. With Jake."
Shaking his head, Steven's gaze dropped. "He's got his own life I s'ppose. Rather used to the way things are with Marc, is all."
"Must be hard, sweetheart," you sweetly sympathized, wishing you could fix any and everything for these men you loved.
"Not your fault," he softly repeated, reaching up to caress your cheek. "He does seem a bit taken with you, though."
Oh god.
"R-really," you squeaked. "Jake said that?"
"Not exactly, but...I gathered," Steven mused, his fingers trailing down over your throat to rest along your collarbone, which he traced carefully. "Made me wonder if you'd worn that lovely satin for him, if I'm honest."
You gulped. "Well...not for him, exactly. I did want to talk to him in a little more than Marc's t-shirt. I want answers too."
The corner of his mouth turned slightly upward, reminding you of Jake. "You're a vision in anything, darling - bare legs and t-shirt, or black satin. I certainly understand why he fancies you."
You skin heated up as you tried to decide how to respond.
And just like Jake the previous night, Steven seemed to enjoy you flustered like this. Giving you a devilish smile, he trailed his fingers down your arm.
"Steven...you're my fiancé," you finally managed, a little breathless. "Jake and I have only spoken twice. It will take a little more than crawling in the window at night to get to know one another."
Nodding, Steven asked, "But you would...like to get to know him?"
"Of course I would," you instantly answered, as if it were obvious. "Of course I want to know someone in our lives like this - part of you and Marc, and...honestly, someone who has you all out at night doing god knows what."
Reaching for your fiancé, you wrapped your arms around his neck. "Besides, I doubt Jake said he fancies me," you chuckled. "Doesn't really sound like him."
"Ohhh, it doesn't, does it?" Steven laughed out. Studying you closely, he added, "Would you like to know what he really said? 'Bout you?"
Spellbound, you nodded as Steven leaned in close. "I'm not going to tell you. That's between you two. But I will tell you what I think, if you care to know."
Climbing across his lap, you touched your forehead to his. "As long as it's something good, baby."
"Oh it is," he breathed against your mouth.
He never told you. But you did finish what you'd started in the bedroom.
After all the recent late night activities, plus a vigorous couple of rounds in bed with Steven, your sated bodies drifted off to sleep...
...which inevitably led to you waking up from your nap, wondering who would be greeting you. The flat was quiet and you were alone.
Feeling a little more relaxed and rested than you had felt in days, you found the clothes Steven had yanked off your body just a couple hours before. You didn't want to waste one more second of your shared day off by sleeping.
After checking the bathroom and the living room, you finally found a note in the kitchen from Marc.
On the roof. - M
Finding some shoes and Marc's tan hoodie, you grabbed your phone, realizing Marc had sent you the same message via text, just in case.
A few minutes later, you made your way out to enjoy the chilly but decently sunny day. A rare treat indeed.
"Hey there," you sweetly greeted, walking up beside Marc, purposely bumping your shoulder against his. "Where's your jacket? It's cold."
He glanced over at you, smirking. "You're wearing the one I like. Looks better on you anyway."
Even though Marc was a little taller than you were, you wrapped your arm around his shoulders as if it might warm him up.
"What are you doing?" He chuckled, already a bit cheered up by your presence.
"I'm protecting you. Like I said, it's cold."
Glancing down at you, he shook his head, amused, while his heart flared with adoration. You were always taking care of him in one way or another. He could never deserve you.
"Come here," he whispered, pulling you into his arms, folding you close. "There, now I'm warm."
"Good," you returned, nuzzling into his neck.
He held you in silence for a few minutes, rubbing up and down your back lovingly.
From what little you knew of Jake, you were fairly certain that Marc was the quietest of his alters. It was nice sometimes, to just be together in contented stillness.
But unlike Jake, there was no one in the world you knew better than Marc. And he was neither content, nor prone to remain still for much longer. Itching to prod about what troubled him, you waited longer still. You had learned to wait him out and he had learned to trust you...confide in you.
"I, uh..." he cleared his throat, breaking the silence after a while. "I came up here because I was thinking about...having a drink."
Oh.
Releasing you, as you knew he would after an admission like that, he folded his well defined arms over his chest. "Sorry." He stared out over the city, wondering what you would think of him - of how he kept letting you down.
Matching his pose, you gave him just enough space to confess, while keeping close enough to ground him.
"Sorry for what?"
Huffing out an irritable sigh, he frowned. "You know what. Sorry for wanting to. For...fucking everything up, for letting you down."
"I see," you softly returned. "Is that all?"
Turning his head, he started at you. "Is that not enough? You need a longer list?"
"No," you shrugged, keeping your gaze fixed on the cityscape. "Just asking if there's anything else you're trying to punish yourself for today."
"There's a never-ending, extremely long fucking list," he huffed, rolling his eyes. "Where do I even begin?"
Turning your body to face him, you waited a moment for him to calm down. "How about we start with what brought you up here today? Did something happen? Did you talk to Steven? Or Jake? Or maybe Addiction is just being the annoying bitch that Addiction is?"
You could see that he was already relieved to have you facing him, engaging with him. Marc could fight with the empty, thin air if he wanted to, because the person he fought hardest with was himself.
"I did...talk to Jake," he finally confessed, shifting uncomfortably from foot to foot. "He, uh...he actually apologized...for what happened in the alley, with Khonshu."
"Okay," you slowly nodded, your heart rate doubling at the thought of Marc and Jake interacting. "And how did that make you feel?"
"Like an idiot," he huffed, pushing a hand through his hair. "I should have known that Khonshu would never leave us alone." His hands landed on his hips - a trademark Marc-is-annoyed stance. "I should have known it wasn't safe, especially for you."
"What does that mean?" you hesitantly questioned. Surely he didn't mean he was unsafe for you, or Jake was... You started to worry for just a moment, that he would try to do one of those stupid 'you're safer without me' speeches that superheroes were always doing in films.
Like hell. Khonshu could shove his bony beak right up his bony ass. He was not fucking with your engagement, or your life.
Seeing your distress, Marc reached for your shoulders. "Jake saved your life last week," he explained. "Someone was following you home from work."
"He...what?" You gasped. "Who? Jake told you this?"
"Don't know who," Marc replied, his jaw clenching in fury at the thought of anyone even noticing you, let alone trying to stalk you. And to think he had no idea - no inkling that you were in danger... it was unbearable. "Doesn't matter. He's gone now. I just can't believe I let that happen to you and I didn't even realize..."
Releasing you, he paced a few steps away, and back again. Back and forth, punishing himself. For not perceiving that danger still followed him around - followed you. For not being the one to save you. For not recognizing someone else was in his mind, in their body. For being the absolute most useless and pointless of his alters. For all these things compiling and making him want to drown it all at the bottom of a bottle. For being a worthless alcoholic. For being like her...
Marc was the walking embodiment of the phrase, 'that escalated quickly...'
You knew it was bad once he stopped pacing and dug the heels of his hands into his forehead. Steven would probably be joining you momentarily. Or maybe Jake.
"Marc?" You softly called, gently reaching for his wrists to stop him hitting himself in the head. You didn't pull or try to halt his motion, you simply allowed your fingers to circle his wrists. As soon as he realized that his banging motion was jerking your arms too, he stopped, allowing you to hold onto his wrists, rubbing your thumbs carefully over his skin.
"There you are," you soothed, granting him the most gentle smile and pulling his hands down to his chest. "I think you kept this conversation going without me. Probably started telling yourself a whole lot of bullshit...does that sound about right?"
Sometimes you would undercut the most dramatic of his meltdowns with deceptively gentle sarcasm. It always seemed to disarm Marc - your comments showed him your tenderheartedness rather than your slight teasing feeling like mockery. You truly had a gift for it.
You didn't wait for his verbal answer. His silence was compliance. You kept hold of his wrists, there against his chest, and tried to fill in the blanks.
"I'm guessing you're blaming yourself for not knowing everything that's ever going to happen, for not predicting the future, for not knowing every corner of your mind, and for being afflicted with an addiction. Am I close?"
His jaw clenched, this time in anguish, rather than fury.
"You don't...you don't have to do this," he choked, avoiding your gaze. "You shouldn't have to do this."
"Like I hell I shouldn't," you shot back. "I marrying you in 52 days. And on that day, I'm going to vow to love you for better or for worse, in sickness and in health - you know the rest. This is exactly what I should be doing."
"I'm sorry," he brokenly whispered. "I'm sorry I'm like this. I hate it. I hate..."
"What are you like, sweetheart? How is it that you think you should be?"
Marc shook his head, his eyebrows pinched with worry. "I-I don't even have a job or go to school, or always make you smile or feel better, like Steven. I can't even protect you, like Jake. I have nothing to give you. I can't think of one reason to even--"
"Don't you dare," you warned. "Don't you dare compare yourself to them - they are a part of you." Releasing a shaky sigh, you realized then how bad things must have gotten for Marc before he ever even picked up a bottle.
This was deeper than one encounter with Khonshu. He was calling his whole self-worth into question, comparing himself to Steven and now Jake. He hadn't failed you. Maybe you had failed him.
"Look, I don't claim to be any kind of an expert on addiction or DID or marriage," you explained to him. "I only know what I know. When Jake saved my life, you were there. You are a part of him. And-and Steven - his amazing mind is your mind too. This addiction you have - they all have it! I understand you are distinct people, and I respect that. And I don't pretend to know what you're going through or what it feels like to be you, but baby..."
Squeezing his hands, you peered up at him pleadingly. "You were my first love. I knew you first. I loved you first. You are the reason I'm here. And Steven. And Jake. We all love you, Marc and we need you. We're with you. Who else is going to help Steven remember to do his homework? Or make my coffee the way I like it? Or fix the sink every time it leaks?
"Who is going to make me feel like the most special person in the world, make me laugh, make me the best toast for breakfast--"
"Uh, that would be Steven," Marc admitted, his voice softening. "Steven does those things for you."
Thinking back through what you'd just said, you nodded. "True. He does make better toast than you but his coffee-making skills are shit."
Marc cracked a smile. Just a tiny one.
"And you do make me laugh. And make me feel special. Why do you think Steven is the only one who does that?"
"Because...I don't know, because he's so good at it," Marc shrugged, calming down a little more. Your candor was somehow soothing because he never had to wonder where he stood with you.
"Baby, where do you think he gets that from?" You stared at him pointedly, waiting for him to get it. "How many years did you try to protect him, to keep him safe?"
"Yeah, but I fucked that up too," he argued. "He was pissed when he found out about me, remember I told you that."
"Only a first," you reminded him. "But since then, you're literally his best friend. You keep him grounded. And I know it's true for Jake too. You're his moral center."
"Really," Marc scoffed, "then he's fucked."
You rolled your eyes. "You are. From what little I know of Jake, he doesn't seem all that bothered by violence... by doing whatever he feels he needs to do, for you or for Khonshu. Don't you see?"
Marc shook his head.
"When you have to use violence, you hate it, because it was used on you. You've agonized over the lives you've taken, because you value life. What is more morally centered than that?"
Finally releasing your hands, Marc rubbed his face with a long sigh. "I told myself I wasn't going to do this to you. That I was just going to go to a meeting and talk to you after. But...but I thought if I left to go to a meeting that I might stop by the store and there would be a drink, you know, just waiting..."
His hands found their way back to his hips. "What do I do?" He gazed at you as if everything in the world hanged on your answer.
"This," you said confidently. "You take a beat...take a breath, talk to me. Exactly this, baby. Everything you need to be doing, you are doing right now: admitting you're tempted to drink, stopping and thinking first, going to meetings..."
You counted his victories off on your fingers, "Using your support systems, being honest about your feelings, even the really fucking hard ones. This is exactly what you do, Marc. You are literally my hero."
Completely taken aback, his lip trembled. "W-what? No...I-I'm not."
Folding your arms over your chest, you narrowed your eyes, waiting a beat.
"You're not? Shit. I must have been thinking of someone else then." Cracking a grin, you inched toward him slowly. "You're so damn stubborn, Marc Spector, but you have met your match. Game fucking on."
Reaching for his wrists, still planted defiantly on his hips, you pulled his hands into yours. "Now, is there anything I can do to make you feel better today? I could walk you to your meeting? Or fix you some matzah ball soup? I've been practicinggg," you sang, a little playfully.
Sometimes acting like a dork really cheered up your grumpy fiancé. Maybe it would work.
"Please, god no," Marc laughed out, "it was more like matzah meal sludge. I think I could have built a sandcastle with it."
Giggling, you released his hands, sliding your arms around his torso. "Okay, fair enough. Maybe we'll do something else then."
"Yeah, like what?" He shot back, some of the tension finally draining out of his tense body as he wrapped his arms around your back.
"How about a massage?" You suggested. "You love it when I play with your hair. You could lie down on my lap, relax..."
"You're just trying to get my head between your legs, aren't you?" Marc chuckled, narrowing his eyes.
You smiled innocently up at him. "Always."
"Come on, it's freezing out here," he laughed, guiding you back toward the doorway with his arm around your shoulders.
"Still feel like a drink?" You asked, your candor never ceasing to amaze him.
"Only if you make me eat your matzah ball soup," he teased.
Just him joking was a good thing. And he probably would have you walk him to a meeting later in the day. One step at a time.
"You're really doing it, you know? I'm really proud of you," you sweetly affirmed as the two of you made your way back down to your flat.
"Thank you," Marc evenly answered, after a long silence. He hadn't really been sure how to reply until the two of you were back inside your living room. "For everything."
"One day at a time, my love. Today, you're doing it. You're doing everything right."
Wondering what he would ever do without you, Marc pulled you close, gently swaying with you in the silence of your flat. He had always felt so hard to love - his childhood had made sure of that. But you loved him hard.

Leon A. Huff (born April 8, 1942, in Camden, New Jersey) a session pianist became half of a seminal R&B songwriting and production team when he teamed with Kenny Gamble in 1965. He played in sessions for Phil Spector, the Ronettes, and Carole King in New York City before moving to Philadelphia. He formed the Locomotions and did sessions for Cameo and Swan. He performed on the song “The 81,”, who was at the session seeing the tune being recorded by Candy & the Kisses. He earned his first hit as a composer by writing “Mixed-Up Shook-Up Girl”. He joined the Romeos the next year, then teamed with Gamble to form Gamble Records. He wrote hits for the Ebonys, People’s Choice, Carolyn Crawford, and Bunny Sigler. He issued two singles as a solo artist on Philadelphia International, with “I Ain’t Jivin’, I’m Jammin” getting some moderate recognition.
Gamble and Huff formed Philadelphia International Records in 1971 as a rival to Motown. CBS Records backed the venture and distributed Philadelphia International’s records. Aided and abetted by in-house arrangers Thom Bell, Bobby Martin, and Norman Harris, Philadelphia International released a number of the most popular soul music hits, including “If You Don’t Know Me by Now”, “Back Stabbers”, “For the Love of Money”, and “Love Train”, as well as the Grammy-winning “Me and Mrs. Jones”. In collaboration with Bell, Gamble, and Huff formed the music publisher Mighty Three Music.
Philadelphia’s soul sound evolved from simpler arrangements into a style featuring lush strings, thumping basslines, and sliding hi-hat rhythms—elements that soon became the distinguishing characteristics of a new style of music called disco. Philadelphia International and the Philadelphia soul genre it helped define had eclipsed the Motown Sound in popularity, and they were the premiere producers of soul.
Nearly all of the Philadelphia International records featured the work of Mother Father Sister Brother. MFSB cut several successful instrumental albums and singles written and produced by the team including the #1 hit “TSOP (The Sound of Philadelphia)” known as the theme song from Soul Train. #africanhistory365 #africanexcellence

The First MoonKnight
Summary: We're familiar with Khonshu's well-known Avatars, such as Marc Spector and Arthur Harrow, but have you ever wondered why there are so many? While other gods typically have just one Avatar from the beginning or none at all, what happened to Khonshu's first Moon Knight? Who was that enigmatic figure?" Word count: 1.4K Chapter 1 A/N: English is not my first language and I really hope y'all like this because it is my first fanfic :) Also, this one is a bit shorter...
Marwa's P.O.V.
Chapter 2
As I watched the woman and child vanish into the safety of the village, a wave of relief washed over me, fleeting but welcome amidst the chaos that had just unfolded. Yet, as the adrenaline began to ebb away, I couldn't ignore the searing pain emanating from the wound in my side—a stark reminder of the danger I had faced.
Clutching the fabric of my robes, I felt the warmth of my own blood seeping through the pristine white linen, staining it crimson. Each heartbeat sent a jolt of agony coursing through me, but I refused to submit to the pain.
Turning my gaze back to the temple, I took a hesitant step forward, the world spinning around me as dizziness threatened to overwhelm my senses. But I steadied myself, drawing upon the inner reserves of strength that lay deep within my being. With each step, I made my way back to the temple.
Like early today, even before the midnight ceremony started, I could sense a pair of piercing eyes burning holes through me but whenever I tried to find the source of it I found nothing. There was no one in the temple with me nor anywhere around it.
And now there they are again. I can feel the heavy gaze on me as I walk -or at least try to walk- back into the temple. This time I don’t bother to look behind me since I know that most likely there would be no one.
As I reached the temple steps, the pain in my side intensified with every movement. But I gritted my teeth and continued.
With a final surge of determination, I pushed open the heavy wooden doors, their creaking protest echoing through the silent chamber. The interior was bathed in a light glow, the flickering candlelight casting dancing shadows upon the stone walls. This place always helped me relax even as a little girl but not this time.
The temple seemed eerily empty, yet I couldn't shake the feeling of being watched. Summoning every ounce of strength I possessed, I dragged myself across the threshold and into the sanctuary of the temple. Collapsing onto the cold stone floor, I took in some deep breaths trying to calm my nerves and pain.
A small whine of pain left my throat as I shifted my position on the cold floor in order to be on my knees. I slowly lifted my eyes toward the vaulted ceiling, feeling the weight of the moment pressing down upon me.
"Oh, Khonshu, guardian of the moon, I offer my humble gratitude unto thee," I whispered, my voice barely audible in the solemn stillness of the temple. "For it is by thy divine grace that I stand here today, battered and broken yet still alive."
"Thank you for granting upon me the strength to fend off the thief who sought to plunder that which was not his own," I continued, my words infused with reverence and awe. "Thank you for lending me the courage to face adversity head-on, to stand firm in the face of danger and uncertainty."
"As I lie here, wounded and weary, I beseech thee, oh Khonshu, to grant me the resilience to endure the trials that lie ahead," I prayed, my heart heavy. "Watch over me, oh mighty god, and guide my steps along the path of your righteousness."
"With every breath I take, with every beat of my heart, I pledge my devotion to thee, oh Khonshu." I vowed, my words, a solemn oath to honor the divine entity that I had devoted myself to.
I remained still, nestled against the chill of the marble floor, savoring the solemn hush that enveloped this sacred space. Each breath I drew caused a sharp ache to radiate from the wound in my side, a reminder of the violence that had unfolded. I briefly shut my eyes, seeking the strength to get up. I had to go back to the village, to check on that woman and that child, to take care of my wound…
Gods, I wish you could help me…
I gritted my teeth and slowly stood back up making my way back to the village across the oasis.
All the familiar faces that I was seeing every night and day in the temple during ceremonies, the faces that were living peacefully in this forgotten place, were all looking at me as I walked towards the physician’s house.
I could hear the small gasps as people noticed the blood on the side of my ceremonial robes. Some of them tried to help me get to my destination but I motioned them to step back.
I knew I needed help and those people were genuinely worried about me so they offered assistance and had no ill thoughts behind it. But I could not accept it. I am their priestess, the one that was supposed to be strong and guide them through their difficulties, I cannot be weak. I need to keep my head up and show no weakness.
As I was approaching our physician's Akil's house I felt a soft tug on my clothing. I turned to see the source of it and I saw a young girl, Heba.
Oh my, I thought the kids would have been asleep by now.
“Are you feeling well, my priestess?” The girl asked politely but with worry and concern in her eyes as her eyes were glancing from mine to the blood on the fabric.
I managed to smile softly at her.
“Yes, my sweet child. It is nothing that you should worry about.” I spoke slowly in an attempt to keep my voice steady. I placed my clean hand on her head reassuringly as I offered her another smile.
Her worry lessened at my words and I was somewhat relieved, the last thing I wanted was to scare the children. As I looked at her eyes again I could see that something more was troubling her.
“Will you be healed till the morning? For the morning offering?” She asked me as the minor anxiety was still visible in her slightly frowned brows.
I wish I was, my child…. I wish I was...
“Of course I will, my dear Heba. The offering will be done as always. There is no reason to keep you little mind troubled. Now, go to your mother and get ready to sleep, it’s late.” I spoke softly and as steadily as I could with my side still throbbing from the pain.
She nodded at my words and gave me a small sympathetic smile as she walked away back to her home.
The rest of the people had witnessed the whole conversation and I could see the doubt they had about my words in their eyes. They knew that it would not be healed till the morning, that it would be best for me to not do the ceremony. Gods, I knew that too. But also I knew that there was no one else to take my place and seeing the distress in Heba’s eyes about not doing the offering and probably enraging the gods. I can’t let that happen. I cannot let down the people nor the divine entities from above.
I am responsible for ensuring the earth and heavens remain as the gods created them.
I cannot let anyone down.
I have no room for weakness nor mistakes.
I took a deep breath in and continued my way to find Akil. Once I reached his door and knocked he opened after some moments. Upon seeing me he smiled, oblivious of everything that had happened. But when he saw the signs of pain painted in my features his smile dropped and as his mouth opened to say something his eyes landed on the crimson color that my white robes were stained.
Without saying a single word he rushed me in and closed the door behind him. He also considered covering the windows so no one could see me like this before turning to face me.
“What happened?” He asked as he started to prepare every needed to treat my wound.

Power Rangers Rewrite: Mighty Morphin'
Season 1 & Background
Because the Boom Comics actually expounds on their backstories, Rita & Zedd have their comics backstories. Rita is specifically from a planet known as Bandora, which has a lot of magical practitioners, including an organized order of witches.
Bandorans are taller than humans, and to a human eye always look a little sickly.
The Power Coins used to belong to a multi planetary team (the Zyu Rangers) with explicitly Alien Zords resembling the 2017 movie. Rita killed the Green Ranger and took that Coin, thus control of the Dragonzord.
The 90’s Zyu Rangers interpreted the Zords on the Coins as artistic renditions of Earth animals, thus minorly reformatting the Zords when they’re finally brought to bear.
Jason actually beats Tommy during their fight like in Zyuranger.
Season 2
Grace Sterling gets introduced, and Zordon tells the story of the 1969 Rangers.
The Stone Canyon Trio are introduced, giving an outside perspective to the Rangers.
Zedd doesn’t arrive…yet. He does send messages to Rita in the form of nightmares.
No Thunderzords, the Zyu/Dino Megazord survives, since I wanna keep the Dairangers (Thunder Star Rangers) in my back pocket.
In the same vein, Tommy doesn’t get the White Tiger Power Coin after losing the Green Power Coin, instead he gets a White Brachiosaurus Power Coin that ties him to Titanus, which itself is reformatted to serve as armor and weaponry for the Zyu Megazord.
Tommy’s Ranger Suit is white and gold, with the MM sculpted mouth helmet and Dragon shield, but with elements of the Dino Thunder Black suit, while Saba is literally just a repainted Bracchio Staff.
Before Tommy comes back, Rita launches the Dark Ranger’s scheme from the comics, which comes to an end once Tommy arrives, destroying the Dark Ranger’s Power Source (A Dark Mockery of a Zeo Crystal?)
The Rita putty escapes, albeit heavily wounded, to fight another day.
Kiya comes to Earth following the Dark Rangers, chasing the power source used. She sticks around for a while.
The first half of the season ends with a final confrontation with Goldar when he attempts to throw Angel Grove into the Dark Dimension during Jason, Trini & Zack’s graduation, and is struck down by Tommy and Jason. The Stone Canyon Trio helps.
Jason, Trini and Zack decide to take a gap year, and are given the Omega Morphers to help Kiya hunt down the source of the knockoff Zeo Crystal, while the Stone Canyon Trio take their places.
Rito arrives afterwards, with some new mercenaries to give the Rangers trouble, including Dayne. Scorpina, meanwhile, leaves, vowing vengeance against the Rangers.
Their adventures include a crossover with the Masked Rider of Edenoi.
The season finale is Zedd’s arrival, Serpentera in tow, and challenges the Rangers to combat.
He destroys the Megazord with Serpentera, before taking them on 1-v-6, rendering the Power Coins useless one after the other, until only Tommy is left with his powers.
Tommy tries, but Zedd captures him, and brings him back to the Moon Castle, leaving the other Rangers to lick their wounds and wallow in their powerlessness.
Season 3
With the Power Coins useless, the Omega Rangers out of contact and Zordon unable to access back-up Ranger powers, Zordon sends the Rangers to Ninjor to create powers of their own.
In the meanwhile, he calls for reinforcements, the Rangers of Aquitar (known as the Doron Rangers), with more on the way.
Zedd sends more monsters to delay the Rangers, and gathers forces fromDark Spector, including Master Vile, to attempt and summon the dark god Lokar from the Talus Dimension.
The Rangers pass Ninjor’s trials and gain their Ninjetti Power Coins and Zords, with all new suits coming with them.
They have elements of the American Ninja Ranger uniforms, the Dairangers, with MM helmets remodeled to reflect their new Zords.
Meanwhile, Tommy is being held by the villains, where he strikes up a friendship with Finster, who eventually helps free him.
During this escape, he finds remnants of the tools used in the corruption of the Green Dragon Power Coin, and takes it.
The Rangers return to Earth and meet the Doron rangers. There’s some chafing, especially between Billy and Cestro, though that rivalry shifts into something more…amorous.
Tommy arrives, Finster by his side and arcane secrets in hand. Finster and Alpha duke it out at least once.
In the background, we’re introduced to new transfer students Tanya Sloan and Kat Hillard. Kat gets mind controlled but it gets broken.
Eventually, Finster, Alpha, Tideus and Delphine figure out how to reactivate the Dragonzord, dormant since the loss of the Green Power Coin, and Tommy uses the power of friendship to bring it back under control.
Master Vile attempts to interfere, but the Rangers strike him down with Ninjor’s help.
Deciding to take advantage, the rangers attack the moon palace, reinforced by the Masked Rider and the Omega Rangers (Now with Yale replacing Kiya)
The Rangers win, destroying Serpentera, and wrecking the moon base, though Lokar is summoned.
In order to seal him, the Mighty Morphin Rangers sacrifice the Ninjetti Power Coins to do so, while Tommy’s powers once again become unstable.
In the aftermath, the rangers disperse. Kim goes off to pursue her gymnastics career, Billy leaves for Aquitar as a representative of Earth, NASADA, and Prometheus.
Aisha also leaves to join humanitarian aid.
Tommy, a bit adrift, decides to stay with Adam and Rocky, and possibly form a new team.
After all, while they did beat them up, they never saw Rita, Rito, or Zedd actually fall…

Haven't posted in a while, but something that was really bugging me a lot was some shit I noticed when rewatching the Moon Knight series that I think a lot of comic book fans could relate to. I know, Mr " um actually " comic book guy is talking right now but imma need you all to bare with me here for a second. and before any of you start typing, please remember everything said here is MY opinion. All I ask is that you're respectful. I'm going to start of with how I don't understand the hype around this motherfucker.
Literally the most whiniest mf in the ENTIRETY of the MCU. The only people who can like or tolerate this bitch are mfs who have 9 hours of daily screen time on TikTok, listen to hyperpop music and think that he's a soft uwu meow meow baby girl hurt emo princess boy.
Moon Knight is literally one of the most metal superheros out there and the directors saw that and said, " now imagine that but we make his woman so much better than him and water him down and completely change his back story and then wipe our asses with it, spit on it and then pretend we were trying to show representation. " Like what the fuck are you fucking doing?
My first problem is that I felt like this show focused too much on Layla and her relationship to Marc... Nvm, Sorry I lied. Not Marc, fucking STEVEN. This show isn't about " Layla ", its about MARC and Steven and JAKE. (I'll talk about Jake later) Like can we just... " Are you an Egyptian superhero? " " I am. 🥺" GIRL BYE 💀💀 this part of this show was so bad it made eternals look good. This was cringe on the level of seeing your mother do a dab. All that episode 6 was about was Layla kicking ass and that's it. I don't understand why Kevin Feige has the urge to make everything about badass women. Like theres ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with that, I love badass women and we need more women superheros, but I'm just saying, I came here to watch MOON KNIGHT not Layla El-faouly.
So funny how they make a show about Marc Spector and he only gets like 20 minutes out of the 6 hours of the entirety of the show. I think the most time he got on screen was like episode five and maybe two but that's about it. It felt like he was only there to make things depressing and to make Steven Grant have better character development because he himself is just so fucking boring and not funny. Marc Spector is so much more than " I got hit as a kid and my alter ego is fucking my ex wife. " He's a Jewish antihero struggling with a personality disorder that's eating his life away and a toxic relationship with a man who's been basically lying, emotionally abusing, and manipulating him since his CHILDHOOD. What I love most about Marc Spector is that he's not like all other these mighty superheros, he's just some dude. He just some dude with real human struggles like you and me, trying to figure himself out and navigate through his disorder. Marc should have had a bigger role in this show but I guess Steven Grant and Layla were more interesting than him. Steven is the main course, Layla is the desert and Marc is the salad off to the side that's barley been eaten.
Steven Grant is not a shy British man with great manners who works in a gift shop and is giving in his moms flat, he's a savvy millionaire ( who's from Chicago, Illinois, so as Marc and Jake ) who works in the film industry and lives in a mansion. Those are two completely different characters. Everyone that I've seen who's criticized Steven in the slightest has said that he was bland, boring, and the producers were trying too hard to make him funny. You can't try to have something that's just straight up sad happening with a character and then pretend that it's funny and try to make it into comedy. That's just not how it works and it's not realistic. That's why movies like The Crow are good and movies like Renfield are bad. The Crow takes itself seriously and is genuinely sad but lightly sprinkled with comedy, Renfield wanted to be a bit sad, but ruined itself by trying to hard to make every scene funny.
The only good scene in this entire show is the scene where Marc says, " you are you the only real superpower I ever had " or whatever the fuck. I didn't pay attention because all I could think about was the scene from frozen where Anna fucking froze and Elsa cried about it and then unfroze her with her tears or something. I guess her tears must have been really hot.
What I'll give Muhammad Diab credit for is casting. Having Layla be Egyptian is good, and having Oscar Isaac casted as Marc is also really good. Everyone In the comics is white for a character normally centered around Egyptian bullshit. They also got Khonshus personality right and that's about it.
I hate how the producers said that this show was all about " representation" and then didn't add Frenchie, who is a gay french guy in it or Bushman who is a black mercenary because he was " too much like Killmonger " ( which doesn't make any fucking sense because they are drastically different on so many levels but okay. ) they also said that this show is they're most brutal and violent show yet, but they were " violent " ( and bloody-ish ) the first three episodes and then just kinda gave up towards the end.
For the last thing, I'm gonna talk about Jake finally. Just pretend that I'm sighing right now. Like a really audible, dramatic sigh.
I get they wanted for us to differentiate the differences between each personality with accents but Jake doesn't need to speak Spanish. He doesn't speak Spanish in the comics and having him do it is completely unnecessary. I get it's Hollywood and Hollywood needs to make everything sexy and attractive, but Jake Lockley is the least sexiest alter of Marc Spector. He doesn't wear a suit with black leather gloves or drive a limousine, he's a fucking taxi cab driver with a really weird mustache who wears a turtle neck. When I think sexy, I don't think taxi driver. And it ruins the point of Jake Lockley as well because Marc uses Jake to see what's going on on the streets in New York. New York is really busy and crowded, so people are more prone to using a taxi, not a limousine unless you're bougie and rich.
Anyways that was my rant. Good night.

A Mighty Marvel Team-Up — Spider-Man: Quantum Quest! Graphic Novel. Amulet Books, 2024.
Writer and illustrator: Mike Maihack
#Marvel#A Mighty Marvel Team-Up — Spider-Man: Quantum Quest!#Moon Knight#Marc Spector#Moon Girl#Lunella Lafayette#This was the first panel I saw of this graphic novel — completely out of context — and my response was:#that quesadilla tastes like WHAT#but having since found the context it’s explained earlier that since this is the quantum realm where things are a little funky#the Tachyon Tacos truck’s food can taste like pretty much anything you like#anyway this graphic novel is as sweet as sugar and incredibly cute#She-Hulk gets to break the fourth wall#there’s a little easter egg of a book by H. Pym titled «How to Avoid The Quantum Realm»#and it introduced me to some team-up dynamics I never knew I needed#I mean among other things Marc and Lunella just chilling in the Quantum Realm is very cute#overall immensely glad I stumbled on this#(only problem is that now I’m craving basbousa and tea something fierce)

The Nightmare in the Fenton Home
You can read this on A03, FF.net, or Wattpad
Amity Park 1985
“Not today Spector!” Jazz Phantom zipped and zapped across the streets of Amity Park dogging ectoplasmic bullets. Her ponytail twirling around her hair like a vortex ready to pounce, and bounce to her target. A large metal man, with shoulders broader than the Berlin wall, and a smile that outmatched any of the large dogs that stalked it in the dead of night. Razor sharp teeth and blazing green eyes. He floated above the street guns a blazing. The large plane wings on his back quivered from the engines keeping shim up.
Flipping past a street lamp Jazz shot seven neon yellow bolts in quick succession, three flew past, three were blocked, and one, hit a passing car breaking the windows.
“I’m sorry!” she said.
“How will you defeat me if you can’t even aim right Child?!” The man mocked.
“Argh shut up creep!” More shots were cast, none were hitting their mark, so they became more frequent. As she rose higher in the air to meet him, her burst cast in quick sessions of fours and threes. The broad wings on his back, let him easily spin and soar around the storm clouds, avoiding all attacks. His trench coat flapping against the cold fall breeze.
“UGH! Stay still!” From her outcry two yellow beams spun from her eyes, splitting the wind. But not the broad shoulder man.
Then her stomach, upset and disgruntled lurched into her throat. The man’s fist buried deep into her gut, as the roaring, quivering engines plummeted them towards the earth. Wind screaming in her ears. “It’s over now Ghost girl!"
Gasping, clawing, and tense, she grabbed his head bending the cold metal around her finger tips. The vibrations of wires torn echoed down her arm as she pulled the robotic head into her chest. The jagged wound buzzed with electricity, zapping at her tears. With a jerk and a twist. The head flew off. Discarded to the side. The giant metal body froze, lurched and finished it’s decent to the earth with out the young girl.
“Oh god,” she said. “That was a close one.”
Fighting the urge to vomit, and wiping off the remains of tears, she moved from the body to where the head laid, smashed against the pavement.
“So much for the mighty hunter Skulker.” Skulker’s green digitated eyes were smashed into tiny glass shards, and the metal sharp teeth were cracked along the middle of each tooth. Holding the thing an arm’s length away, she ripped the face off revealing nothing except an empty chair.
“Hey where did you-” The body was no longer behind her, “-go? Great, just great.”
She groaned, holding what was basically another broken computer up before her, “To be, or not to be: that is the question: Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, or to take arms against a sea of troubles, and by opposing end them?”
She giggled, “Well can’t do anything about it now, I have to get home before dinner, or else Mom will have a fit.”
Leaving the small area of destruction, Skulker remained in the shadows. The light of the wires casting jagged shadows upon the city walls.
The Fenton homestead was on old brick building made from only the sturdiest of brick, as her parents had attached a giant neon sign to the front, and a hunk of metal the size of a small blimp to the roof, with all sort of satellites, rods, and jumbled pieces of metal sticking which way around it, wrapping in and out the series of metal poles and tubes that hooked it to the roof. Like a Jenga tower about to topple. The inside was neater with faded blue walls, and décor from the 70’s haunting the living room. The only modern thing was a large brick TV that stood proudly on a black box. A round black couch surrounded it like it was an idol. The image of the couch bowing before the TV would make her smile, but not today, as several suitcases stood by it.
“Ah! Jazzy-cakes your home. And just in time,” her Father said jumping down the stairs.
“Hey Dad, what’s going on?”
“Your Mother and I were invited to the national paranormal convention as speakers this year.”
“And your Father forgot to tell anyone,” said her mother, who was slowly coming down the stairs carrying her typewriter. “I got a call this morning asking if we were still coming.”
“Are you?” Jazz said.
“Of course, Jazzy-cakes! This is our moment to shine, and to inform the rest of the paranormal science world about our research. This could get us in the mainstream, maybe even get us on Larry King. Imagine your old man and amazing Mom with Larry King!” Her father wrapped his harm around her, his bushy mustache tickling her ear.
“I don’t think this will get us that far Dearie, but it is very important to our careers,” her Mother added the typewriter to the pile of luggage.
“Where is this convention?”
“Its in D.C. Jazz! We won’t have that much time for sightseeing, but maybe if we play out cards right, your Mother and I might see Reagan!”
“I don’t know about that Jack…”
“Think on the bright side Maddie. With all the recent Ghost attacks, everyone is looking for an answer about what is going on with Amity Park. We could even get an interview on Dateline. Think of it Mads, us on the TV!” Maddie, rolled her eyes at her husband, his antics and ideas making her smile like a fool.
“So, do I need go pack my bags?” Jazz said.
“Oh no you’re not coming sweetie.” Maddie said.
“Hun?”
“It’s so short notice, that we only were able to grab two plane tickets, and with what happened at Vlad’s house last year, well…”
“What your Mother is trying to say is that we trust you enough to stay home while we leave for the weekend.”
“What about Danny?”
“He’s in charge, but,” Maddie leaned down to Jazz’s height “We trust that you will call us if he tries to throw a party or god forbid do something reckless like drink or smoke the devil’s grass.”
“I understand Mom.”
“Good, I pre-made some food for the net few days, but I gave Danny some money in case you guys eat it all. The numbers for both the hotel and the convention are on the family chalkboard, and don’t forget about curfew.”
“I won’t Mom.”
“That’s my sweetie girl,” kissing her daughter’s cheek, Maddie moved around the living room checking of things o her list.
“Where is Danny by the way?” Jazz asked.
“We already told him what’s going on,” Maddie said. “I think he’s up in his room doing homework.”
“Oh, yeah. Homework. I know I did a lot of homework when I was his age,” Jack snickered. Maddie smacked him.
“Jack!”
“What? Homework is good? You can’t get into a good college without doing your homework!” Maddie rolled her eyes, no longer smiling.
“O-okay. I’m going to go down stairs, and uh do work with the computer.” Jazz backed towards the basement.
“Okay sweetie,” Jack was still snickering at himself.
Jazz sighed, descending down the basement steps, the old wood creaking under her. The Basement was cold, metal covered almost everything in sight, radiating the cold like an infection. On the far wall was the portal. The giant hexagon built into the false wall. It wasn’t the source of the coldness but it was not helping the room. The meter and tank beside it glowed a faint green, pulsing like a slow, faint heartbeat. Green text glows against her skin.

A pain shot through her side, racing to her arms the moment she tried to grab the ecto-barrel. The large metal contain was easily twice her size but the ectoplasm run off from the portal was surprisingly light making the chore of changing it easy, but annoying.
“Danny can do it,” she grumbled. Throwing the broken head of her enmy from her backpack and into a Fenton branded anti-ghost containment unit. A glorified carboard box with tubes of ectoplasm, tacked to its sides. A push of a button and the tubes began to spin creating a shield around the box. A pink diary lock kept it close, as the previous lock had been lost somewhere around the house. A few wires stuck out around the lid, and for that Jazz said she was sorry. Shoving the bludging box behind a broke set of
Hours later Jazz and Danny stood outside the door watching their parents fill the car up with suitcases, and large cumbersome inventions. Guns, body armor, and even the Fenton Ghost Catching Lunch-box was thrown in.
“Remember kids, no parties, no drugs, don’t break anything, and call us if anything goes wrong,” Maddie said.
“Yes Mom.” The both repeated.
“And don’t let the shield go down! Ghost have been rampant lately and I don’t any ghost to try and bust you up. While we’re gone,” Jack said. Jazz looked behind her, seeing the large apartment building covered in a thick green bubble. The tip of the neon sign poking through.
“Yes Dad,” Danny said.
The two were grabbed into a bear hug by their father, his large bushy mustache tickling their faces, “I’m gonna miss you two.”
“We’ll miss you to Dad,” Jazz said, patting her father’s back.
“We’ll be back by Sunday night. Come one Jack before the roads get busy, said Maddie. Jack gave each of his kids, a big wet kiss on the cheek. Jogging back to the car, shoving the last few things in.
“Be good.” Maddie gave each kid a quick kiss goodbye.
The van boomed to life driving off towards the highway, with the Fenton parents waving goodbye.
“Are Sam and Tucker coming over?” Jazz asked.
“Of course. But it’s not a party. We’re just gonna watch some movies. Is the human porcupine coming?” Danny said.
“Spike? No, his parents dragged him to a Disney cruise.”
“Spike? Walking around with princesses and Mickey mouse?”
“It’s for his sisters.”
“Sucks to be him.” Jazz followed Danny inside, the ghost shield gently pulled at her, but otherwise had no effect and allowed her to go inside.
A headless man sat in the shadows watching. The setting sun trapping the street in a growing darkness.

Spider-Man - Mighty Marvel Team-up tome 2 : Quantum Quest - Spider-Man s'allie à Namor et aux Quatre Fantastiques[3]. 5.
