as someone w stick and pokes (oops i definitely just exposed myself💀) i feel like kyle’s the kind of dumbass who got his first tattoo by letting other art college friends try out stick and pokes on him (he mightve been a little drunk on wine, he was a college kid let him live) and then he’s like “wait. this is actually kinda fun.” and at first he rationalizes getting another one by being like “hm well it’d look weird if i only had one, so ill just get another small one🤷” (an experience most tatted ppl can relate to i think) and he gets a second one done professionally but he likes it so much (bc he designed it duh) that he just keeps getting more and at some point other ppl notice and like his designs so then he ends up learning how to tat himself bc tattoos are expensive and does it for other ppl sometimes (bestie youve got me so obsessed w heroes w tattoos)

I got my first tattoo when I was seventeen lol I had to go out of state cause mine wouldn’t do it. Idk my mom said it would hurt and it just didnt lol. 

But also imagine Kyle sketching out tattoos on himself and others instead of on paper. 

I think also the idea of Kyle having drawings of plants no one on Earth has ever seen but him and sharing them with his friends can be so personal. and then them liking it enough to want a tattoo???

oh and like Kyle being shown different tattoo methods and types from other aliens would be sick. like maybe he gets a cool ink and Hal has a mini heart attack cause they don’t know how Kyle will re act to this new substance lol
