thinking about jekyll and lanyon again. what do you mean being with lanyon was the one thing that caused jekyll to feel enough happiness to break the divide between him and hyde. what do you mean he essentially "broke" lanyon in terms of pursuing other people. what do you mean lanyon was the perfect image of a gentleman in jekyll's mind despite when they were literally together for A Year consistently breaking major societal norms. what do you mean jekyll is essentially the only person who can make lanyon admit he cares about anything. what do you mean lanyon is the person receiving prophecies (narrative/theme-wise) of jekyll's perfect scientific downfall. can anyone fucking hear me
