Random p3 & p3/p2 hcs because these have been on my mind a lot lately
•He absolutely loves americas funniest home videos & loves youtube fail compilations. He laughs LOUD and if something really got to him, he smacks the shoulder of the person next to him a couple times as he’s dying of laughter. None of the pdudes find the show & videos as entertaining as he does but they’ll laugh a bit here and there. Or just agree with P3 when he says something about someone being a dumbass.
He’s tried to end up on AFV a couple times. They never even probably get to his entry so he basically injured himself doing a stupid stunt for no reason.
•Growing up he was actually more on the nerdy side like P1 and Java but somehow or another, he ended up on the really outgoing side. He likes talking to BD, Java, and P1 about geeky stuff though. They might even be a little surprised with how much he knows since most pdudes think all that goes on inside P3s head is outdated memes and his obsession with P2.
•Once p2 & p3 start dating, p3 won’t stop bragging about it to the other pdudes. Either on the phone or in real life. If it’s real life he has a arm around him and is like “yeeeeppp. I knew he couldn’t turn me down after all 😎.”
He’s so proud of himself LOL and he absolutely adores p2 and thinks it’s a amazing accomplishment and everyone is jealous of him.. which maybe only like one or two pdudes are a little lol.
•It eventually gets to him a little bit when p2 keeps making jokes about him being annoying or clingy but he will act like it doesn’t get to him since they just joke to each other all the time but… :( I dunno. If they had a bad argument I can see p3 thinking p2 is close to being done with him because he himself thinks he is really is clingy & annoying.
If p3 decides to apologize or if he’s just feeling bad about himself in general, he definitely brings up how he ‘knows he’s annoying’ and ‘in his way’.
•Wouldn’t force P2 to work out or eat better if he really doesn’t want to but he’s more than happy to make him good meals and or work out with him if he wants! :)
I think p2 kinda craves someone doing sweet things for him like making meals so.. when p3 is cooking them a nice dinner, p2 is a little more soft than usual. P3 might even get p2 to kiss him without him initiating it first ^_^
•P3 fumbles a bit when p2 is being affectionate with him out of seemingly nowhere earlier on in the relationship. He’s caught off guard but likes what’s going on.. so he’s just kinda at a loss for words and a little unsure of what to do because he doesn’t wanna ruin the moment. P2 thinks it’s cute when he gets like that.. and maybe will even tell him that eventually 🤭

Monsters and Magic Line-Up
This is just my way of outlining the... installments in the series. I dont summarize what happens, but it’s more so my thoughts on them so far and what I want to do with them. Also title reveals.
...I have no idea what I’m doing.
Dreaming in Daylight: Persona 1/Revalations. I definitely need to put this out some time before I release Persona 5/Strikers, mostly due to the fact that Naoya has a role in both. It’s fairly minor in Persona 5, and he makes a minor guest appearance since… ya know, he is Ren’s father in this universe. He plays a major role in Strikers, though. Need to redownload the emulator I had for PSP, though so I can play through it. It seems so much easier to do that then to look up a walkthough, which I have done for a couple of these to make things easier on my life. I’m also going to be taking elements from the manga for this one.
The Past That Binds Us: Persona 2: Innocent Sin. If we’re being honest, I already have the first scene for it typed out. I forget why, I think I was just trying to get the dialogue and its choices I needed when I had the emulator. Anyway, I really do love P2′s story, so it would be a shame if I skipped it.
From the Other Side: Persona 2: Eternal Punishment. The same as the previous one. It’s angsty, and I’ll have fun with that. It also serves as an explanation as to why everything is kind of the way it is going forward without actually explaining it. Maybe. I dunno. We’ll see how things go. It might also be combined with Innocent Sin depending on the length of both.
Make Every Moment Last: Persona 3, and the one that’s currently ongoing. I started out with Persona 3, despite the fact that it’s in the middle of the series but it’s one that I know people are extremely familiar with, so it’s more likely to draw in the reader’s eyes and build a fanbase for the series. It also gave me the chance to work on and write out the P3 cast, which I struggled to do in the beginning. I think I’ve gotten better since then.
Lives on the Line; Winner Takes All: The Answer. Make Every Moment Last is long enough at seventy chapters, but the events that take place during The Answer are important at explaining why what the hell happens at the end of Make Every Moment Last ya know… happens. This is gonna explain why that happens and wrap up some loose ends. It also goes a bit in depth with some backstory events that I bring up in the previous installment.
Free to Just Be Me: Persona 4, with some Golden events and elements. It has to do primarily with how I deal with the TV World and such. TBH, the TV World probably is the only one that underwent a massive change to fit in with the supernatural world because I found a way to do it in a way that makes sense and didn’t fuck up with the plot. If I decide to go with ships for this (outside of the canon ones at least), it’s going to be done in such a slow burn that they won’t even confess or get together in the fic itself, but a later installment instead.
Shadows of Fate: Persona Q. Mostly just a filler fic, TBH. And includes most of my own gameplay since I got to the ninth floor of the clocktower before my computer killed itself. It also has a bit of foreshadowing towards the end considering the next installment/spin-off. It’s just gonna be a fun bit of writing that will help me establish what relationships will be like for Arena, as well as a bit foreshadowing for that installment towards the end. I also plan to incorporate scenes from both routes, so it’s not defined who is the main lead here. Kids deserve to be dumbass kids, and this lets me do that. That, and it’s already been hinted at happening in Make Every Moment Last.
The Hollow Hour Tournament: Area/Ultimax. They were short enough, so I decided to combine the two together. That, and Arena didn’t feel complete on its own. It’ll be a chance for me to lore-dump a little bit more concerning the Anti-Shadow Weapons and some minor stuff that got glossed over in Make Every Moment Last If I decide to do the slow burn ship for P4, then it will finally have it’s payoff here.
Tied Together by Truth: Dancing All Night. Not entirely sure if I’m going to do this one, TBH. If I do, it’ll be entirely self-indulgent since I love the story that goes along with this. There’s also a little nifty detail I wanna do with those who use magic and how it effects dance moves. It’s mostly visual though. That, and Yu’s parents. I enjoy Shin and Tomiko’s dynamics. I also adore Kanami. She’s gonna be human, though. Maybe. Or not know what she is. It’s still up in the air.
Break Away From Limitations: Persona 5 Royal. Yes, I’m going the Royal Route on this. I love Sumire too much not to. I’m excited for this one for a lot of reasons, one of them being that the Awakening scenes are just the cast snapping and going apeshit. Also getting to write an older and more responsible Minato. He’s still the little shit we all love, but he’s relaxed and fits into a more defined leader/mentor role because of it.
Shattering the Cinema: Persona Q2. Again, just another filler fic. It’s also a chance for me to have some fun with dynamics, as well as fuck with Ren a little since he knows nearly everything that’s going to happen in the future but can’t tell anyone about it for fear of messing up the timeline. There’s also the deal with Minato, Kotone and the Investigation Team – who are used to Ren as a kid as much more happy-go-lucky than the teenager they’re looking at now.
A Guide to Personal Prison Break: Persona 5 Strikers. Due to me using the Royal Route, it will be different compared to the game aside from the obvious adjustments. I do plan to involve Akechi and Sumire in this. And as explained at the beginning of the post, Naoya’s going to be a major character as well. His relationship with Ren is kind of not so hot after his arrest, and yeah, there was some mending that happened in P5R, but there’s still some tension. So he tries to use the road trip to help repair it. I do have a lot of the dialogue typed out for this already because as I was waiting for my replacement computer back in August, I was playing through Strikers again. So I thought I might as well.

AHEM so Roll for Strength. I'm still hoping you do a Will/Mike/Emmett story line, dunno if that's your plan, but I was thinking about how E has that attic bedroom that he and Mike make out in, and how E picked up on Will flirting at the cabin party, and now I'm imagining him coming up with a Scheme (tm) and inviting Will and Mike over to his house to "play video games" in his attic, and neither of them know that the other is gonna be there. then when they get there and they've been playing for a
(p2) (warning: explicit lol) while and Will has the controller and E starts making out with Mike, and Mike is a little hesitant at first (but maybe this is at a point where they already all kind of know about each other? idk) but he thaws out to it when he sees that Will isn't grossed out by it, and Emmet's plan is to escalate it as mugh as he can with Mike and then pull Will into it (maybe he gets Will to kiss Mike first since they're comfortable with each other) and initiate a little threesome
(p3) (okay I lied, THIS one is explicit, the last one was fine lol) Something something, im bad at writing smut. but they go from making out to E encouraging Mike to touch Will, and eventually Emmet ends up fucking Mike from behind while Will kisses him and Will and Mike can jack each other off or something, idk, how do u write smut. Point being I just want the three of them together and also Mike has had A Bad Few Years and deserves to be in the middle of a gay sandwich 🙏🙌🙌
Um, anon, your MIND.
Here’s the thing: won’t spoil anything, but... Actually, no, that’s it. If I say anything else I’ll be spoiling things. So I’ll just shut my mouth why don’t I.
But I will say, since Emmett is a little more comfortable with his identity/sexuality than Mike or Will right at the moment, of the three of them he might be the most likely to initiate something like that.
(Also, because I’m suddenly remembering the fandom I’m in: they’re aged up, people. Okie dokie? Okie dokie. No running to me yelling about how they’re children, because obviously in this scenario they are absolutely not children. They are aged up. Okay let’s continue.)
I will say I like the idea of Emmett, at a vague point / in some alternate timeline after Mike realizes that Will knows about them, making out with Mike in front of Will. And Will is kind of sulking and pretending to ignore it because he figures Emmett is kind of rubbing it in his face, like, ha ha, I get to make out with him and you don’t. But then Emmett pulls the controller out of Will’s hands and pulls him over next to them on the battered old loveseat that’s in his attic bedroom and is like, “You wanna try?” and Mike is like “um” and Will is like “UM,” and Emmett is just like, “What? It’s not fair that you’re over there on your own, I thought we should include you. Is that okay?” And the two of them are probably so surprised and flustered that they aren’t thinking straight enough (ha) to say no.
In reality I don’t think Emmett would be nearly that bold or confident XD He is a bit of a shy boi. But it’s a good imagine.
Also, anon, don’t we all deserve to be in the middle of a gay sandwich. Don’t we all.
(... listen, this is quarantine. And I have more projects going than I should anyway. If people want me to write this as like an alternate timeline oneshot or an outtake or something, there’s a good chance I’d do it. Just saying.)

If P3 came to Steam (prediction)
So I know people are debating if or should P3P or FES be the one that comes to Steam....but.....I think I have the answer (pun no intended 8U). It’s...well I shouldn’t say “easy,” but it’s probably easier than them remaking/remastering P3 to include all of P3P/FES content in one (I mean I’d LOVE that, esp if they give us an FeMC ver of The Answer, as well as a 3D overworld for the FeMC! ;w;). But....but..... I feel like this is what will happen....at least in terms of porting to Steam atm (and tbh dunno why I didn’t think of it, but option 1 they could do this for PS4/PS5 too....in terms of ports..... ;w;)
1) Journey wise, we’re gonna get P3P. But we’re also gonna get the Answer. Lemme explain. When FES first released there were two version in Japan. One was the whole P3 game with the Answer (aka what the west got), the other was a cheaper option disk which only contained the Answer (Japan only iirc). What I’m thinking is that Atlus’ll make a bundle where you have P3P and then the Answer only mode combined. Kinda like two game disks for one (kinda like if they did a bundle for both P2 games....haha...yeah if only <.< >.> ;w;).
2) Alternatively, they’re making it so that we have an adjusted/enhanced version of P3P (aka 3D overworld) for both routes+FES. Which I’d be down for as well. Would require more work (and I have less chance of a FeMC Answer), but I’d be 100% down for it.
3) Or they just give us an option to choose between P3P and the full FES (aka Journey and Answer, rather than just the Answer like I said above) and have us battle it out there (hopefully it’s a 2 for one and not sold separately but.....we know it’s gonna separate).
Just my prediction. I really hope for option 2 tho, might not be new next gen graphics but I’d loooooooove to have a full 3D environment for P3P. I’m a bit torn between 1 and 3, but I think I’d rather have option 1 since we’re more likely to have a bundle XU

Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Arc Chapter 34 Translation
Hi guys.  Sorry for the slight delay with the translation this week.  I didn’t think I was gunna be off work for the Reiwa/GW festivities this year, but I ended up home after all – with the flu! 😅 The fever is gone now and I’m slowly (keyword is slowly) getting over it.
Here is the translation for Chapter 34, so please enjoy.  Thank you to @meimi-haneoka for proofreading.
☆★Translations Notes Reminder★☆
Disclaimer: These are just fan translations. Please support the official release.
Chapter 34
Cover Page: “The regular and custom editions of Volume 6 – a huge, huge, huge hit – on sale now!”
P1 Tomoyo: Oh my!! Tomoyo: Li-kun (turned into a child)!?
[Alt: Li-kun shrank!?]
Syaoran: J-just my body.  My (mind) was the same as (it is) now.  I turned back to normal soon (after) too. Tomoyo: That’s good! Tomoyo: But… Tomoyo: (It’s also) a little unfortunate…
[Alt: I feel it was a little unfortunate… ]
Syaoran: Huh?
P2 Tomoyo:  If your mind had also returned to a (childlike state), I wonder what kind of reaction Sakura-chan would have had.
[Lit:  …returned to when you were small…]
Tomoyo:  And I wonder how Sakura-chan would have handled dealing with (you in that state). Tomoyo:  (That would have been something to see)!!  It really would have!! Tomoyo:  Ahhhh… but if I’d missed an opportunity to film that sort of scene, I could never regret it enough-!! Syaoran:  No, (something) that troublesome…
[Lit:  …an inconvenience like that…]
P3 Sakura:  It wouldn’t be troublesome at all. Sakura:  I would have liked to (see that side of you as well).
[Lit:  I wanted to try and spend time with the Syaoran-kun who’s little on the inside as well.]
<Both blush at each other> Tomoyo:  Of course, I won’t pass up recording something like this (too).
P4 Sakura:  Hoeeee!! Tomoyo:  However, it’s good that neither of you were hurt and that you (caught) the card too.
[Lit:  …neither of you were hurt. And the card too.]
Sakura:  Yeah.  I’ve been creating them.  That’s why… <Sakura pulls out some of the cards that look like her friends>
P5 Tomoyo:  Oh my. Tomoyo:  Is this Rika-chan? Tomoyo:  Oh my, oh my!  This is adorable. Tomoyo:  I really, truly regret having missed this chance to record after all…
P6 Tomoyo:  (Now that I think about it), where is Kero-chan? Sakura:  At home.  This morning a visitor came by. <Scene changes to Kero at home> Kero:  I see.  So then you came to Tomoeda, huh? Suppie:  Ruby Moon is at Yue… Tsukishiro Yukito’s home. Kero:  And so… (you’re here) with me.
[Lit:  And so… you are where I am.]
P7 Kero:  So, regarding what happens from here on out… Suppie:  …Yes. Kero:  You’re gunna keep me company to the very end! Kero:  (Walk me through the game!)
[Lit:  Kero says ゲーム攻略! which means “game walk-through”]
P8 Kero:  There’s a dungeon I finished (while waiting on you to respond).
[Lit: There’s a dungeon I finished while you weren’t replying.]
Kero: <to himself> Ahh! I really wanted the (treasure) from that castle…!
[Lit: gold coin]
Kero:  Next Stage!! Suppie:  You’re really the same as ever, aren’t you! Kero:  Sakura (is the one) making the cards, and now that we know that clearly, Sakura will do something (about it).
P9 Kero:  Even so, if anything bad happens, (it’ll be up to us).
[Lit:  …happens, at that time it will be our turn.]
Suppie:  …You trust (her), don’t you?  Your current master… Kero:  Yup!  Because (she’s) Sakura. Kero:  Now then…
P10 Kero:  Let’s go!! Go forth!!  Into the world of games!! Suppie:  You really, (truly) haven’t changed at all! (Have you!) Kero:  (Hiiiyaa!!) Suppie:  (Take that!!)
[Note:  They’re just making battle sounds here.]
<Scene changes to Yukito’s house> Nakuru:  ‘Morning!
P11 Yukito:  Morning Akizuki-san. Nakuru:  Where is Touya-kun? Yukito:  (At) an early morning part time job. Nakuru:  Hasn’t changed a bit.  And you? Yukito:  I have a lecture first period. Nakuru:  Oh.  I’m going to that too. Yukito:  Huh?
P12 Nakuru:  Eriol said (I) should stay by your side as much as possible, so he (filed) admissions (paperwork) to the university for me too. Yukito:  In addition to (everything with) the house too… Eriol-kun is really amazing.
[Lit:  In addition to the house too… / Note:  Yukito is referring to how Eriol got the house set up for him to live in.]
Yukito:  <thinking to himself on how to address Eriol> Eriol-kun? Or -san? Nakuru:  Well then, (first thing’s first).
[Lit:  …before that.]
Nakuru:  I’m gunna have you make that oden from last night into udon for me! Yukito:  Okay!  Oden broth is really delicious the next day!
[Note:  Here’s a link again for anyone who missed what oden was a few chapters ago.  You can often reuse the dashi broth if you have it left over like they’re doing here. In this case, for breakfast udon!]
P13 Yukito:  As soon as I’ve watered the plants, I’ll get it heated up. Yukito: <to himself> How many eggs should I have?? Nakuru:  For real, you really are just as carefree as always. Nakuru:  …If you could always stay that way, that would be the best. <Scene changes to Sakura’s school>
P14 Sakura:  I’m so glad it’s sunny out! Chiharu:  Yeah, (especially since) we’re at the pool for gym class today. Tomoyo:  And you’re really good at swimming, Sakura-chan. Sakura:  I dunno about good at it, but I do love swimming. Akiho:  Good morning! Everyone:  Morning! Sakura:  Morning, Akiho-chan! (Did you bring-)
[Note:  Sakura actually says “Swimsuit” here, since the Japanese sentence would start with that.]
P15 Sakura:  <thinking>  …What…? Akiho:  Sakura-san? <Sakura looks unnerved>
P16 Sakura:  Ah, sorry.  Did you bring your swimsuit? Akiho:  Yes! Akiho:  It’s amazing that you can swim at school! Tomoyo:  Do they not have swim classes overseas? Akiho:  Not at (the schools) I attended…
[Lit:  Not at the place I attended…]
Sakura:  <thinking> …I wonder why… Looking at Akiho-chan (made me) somehow very… uneasy…
P17 <Sakura continues to look uneasy> Syaoran:  What’s wrong?
[Alt:  What happened?]
P18 Sakura:  When you look at Akiho-chan, do you sense anything? Syaoran:  At Shinomoto? Syaoran:  Not at all… Sakura:  …I wonder if it’s my imagination. Syaoran:  <thinking> Even if she doesn’t have any magic, Yuna D. Kaito is Shinomoto’s butler.
P19 Syaoran:  <thinking> …(He) might have performed some kind of spell… Syaoran:  <tries to speak> …… Syaoran:  <thinking>  …Just as I thought, I can’t say anything… Naoko:  Are you good at swimming, Akiho-chan? Akiho:  I haven’t had too many chances, but I enjoy it. Chiharu:  Well, you do have good reflexes.
P20 Naoko:  You’re like Sakura-chan in that way too. Akiho:  !! <Sakura smiles and Akiho is happy for the compliment> Yamazaki:  Speaking of swimming! Chiharu:  Yeah, yeah, we (don’t need) any lies.
P21 Yamazaki:  That hairstyle is cute too. Yamazaki:  That’s no lie. <Chiharu blushes> Chiharu:  You idiot!  Yamazaki-kun, you’re an idiot! Naoko:  They get along so well, don’t they? Tomoyo:  (They) really (do).
P22 <Meanwhile, Kaito is sitting in a tree outside…> Momo:  What are you doing, Yuna D. Kaito? Kaito:  I was out shopping. Kaito:  And… Sakura-san has realized why the cards are (appearing)…
P23 Momo:  So you came to cause trouble. Kaito:  That’s exactly right. Kaito:  That and…
P24 <Sakura senses something happening> Syaoran:  What’s wrong? Sakura:  …Just now… <The lights go out and everyone freezes>
P25 Syaoran:  Everyone… has stopped… Sakura:  Is this also… (because of) me?
[Alt:  Am I also doing this?]
Syaoran:  No, (this is) different.  There’s another magical presence. Syaoran:  (It has to be…)
[Lit:  It’s surely…]
Syaoran:  <once again can’t speak> ……
P26 Syaoran:  Dammit…! Sakura:  <thinking> I know this… This isn’t me…  This is someone (else’s) magic… Sakura:  Release! Syaoran:  Sakura!
P27 Sakura:  “Reflect!” Akiho:  <Voice #1> New magic.
[Note:  Due to the fonts used in Akiho’s speech bubbles, it seems that multiple people are speaking through her.]
<Sakura turns to look at her>
P28 Akiho:  <Voice #2> Strong power. Akiho:  <Voice #3> So strong. Akiho:  <Voice #4> It’s not what was written in the book. Akiho:  <Voice #5> However… we must bind it inside…
P29 Akiho:  <Voice #5> Inside this book. Syaoran:  Sakura!! Narration:  What (is happening) with Akiho…!?  The shocking development you can’t miss!
<To be continued>
…Seriously though, the book she’s getting sucked into had better be Winds of Winter, because I am not ready for these last 3 eps of Game of Thrones…

Bad At Love {P6}{Photographer!Keith x Prodigy!Reader}
Words: 4936
Summary: Keith Kogane was known for being the good-boy-gone-bad. You were known for being the emotionless prodigy that only ever showed up to school to stop her foster parents from getting arrested. Whenever you two are put together on a school project after briefly meeting during detention, you find your world tipping upside down as you realise that there’s more to life than science and logic.
Pairing: Photographer!Keith x Prodigy!Reader
 Notes: p1 – p2 – p3 – p4 – p5 - FINAL; WARNING: MENTIONS OF ABUSE. EXTREME FUCKING ANGST WHAT AM I.
Chapter 6
“Ah, ah, ah!” Keith exclaims, skidding to a halt as he rounds the corner. You suppress a yelp of surprise, instead keeping the monotone glare you wore so often plastered on your face.
Keith holds up his camera, one hand outstretched in front of him as a way to keep you standing in front of him. “Perfect.”
A flash, followed eventually by you slapping Keith’s hand away. Keith chuckles, falling into step at the side of you.
The school day had ended once again. Another long, tedious day of you learning the same thing over and over again and pretending you had an interest in it, when in reality, all you could think about was Keith.
You don’t want to admit it to yourself. It’s embarrassing in some ways, pining over a man who saw you as only a friend, and yet you couldn’t stop your mind from racing throughout the entire day. He still hadn’t explained to you the story behind the black eye, or why he hadn’t shown up to history class, or why he had ignored you for two days with no obvious reason to his name. And despite the fact that he was grinning and laughing with you now, the unanswered questions still linger between the two of you.
You were never one to shy away from asking the obvious. Keeping tension between two people just seemed like a pointless way to avoid the unavoidable, but you had been keeping your mouth shut this time. You didn’t want Keith to distance himself again, and if the reason was personal, it was none of your business anyway.
You and Keith make your way to Keith’s pick-up truck in the school park. He had agreed to drive you home today, insisting that he ‘had a lot of time to kill’ after school. You had been hesitant, usually preferring the stroll to Ann-Marie’s house, but you had taken his offer on board anyway.
You slid into the red vehicle, throwing your backpack to your feet as Keith makes a scene of throwing his satchel and camera bag into the back seat. He slides into the drivers seat after that, starts up the car and begins the short drive to Ann-Marie’s house.
You nibble on your bottom lip, averting your gaze to the window. This was what it was often like between you and Keith – silent, but that was okay. Weirdly, it was perfect. It was an unspoken bond between the two of you, just the knowledge that speaking wasn’t necessary enough to let you sink into the leather seats and relax after a hard day of fighting off emotions which had crashed down on you way before you could prepare yourself.
The thing was, you hadn’t even meant to forgive Keith so easily, if at all. You had lived in your own little bubble for nearly seventeen years – you knew yourself that you were perfectly capable of being on your own. Losing Keith hadn’t seemed like a such a big deal until you were actually faced with the horrifying situation of losing him.
And then he had walked up to you in the cafeteria with a throbbing black eye and it was like the world had come to an abrupt halt and the problems you two were meant to discuss had slid away, leaving only the pounding of anxiety which suddenly clawed at your chest. Because Keith had been hurt, and even though that wasn’t a new occurrence, it had startled you enough to have you zooming up from your seat, tracing your fingertips over his face, wanting to pull him impossibly closer to you-
“Allura told me about you and her going on a coffee date some time next week.”
You flinch away from the window, shaking the thoughts from your head as Keith’s voice rings out. He sends you a small glance, narrowing his eyes at your sudden movement but you simply cough, pretending it hadn’t happened at all.
You nod. “Yeah. She invited me out so we could talk. I think she wants to be friends with me.”
“That’s a good thing, right? You want to be friends with her too, don’t you?”
You shrug, hollowing out your cheeks and sinking further into the leather. “I’m not really a social person, in case you forgot. I’m a bit – I dunno. I see no point in it.”
    “In making friends?”
“In pretending.” Keith raises a brow, beckoning for me to develop my argument some more. “I like her. She’s a nice girl, but she’s a little bit too eager, you know? As mean as that sounds-“
“You don’t have emotional quota. You’re safe.”
You hum. “Having too many people around me makes me nervous. Puts a brink in my head. You’re bad enough to deal with.”
Keith scoffs. “Right. I’ll just drop you off at the side of the motorway then and then you can-“
You slap his arm, a small laugh escaping your throat. “I was joking! But seriously – I just hope the coffee date goes smoothly. I don’t know how to start conversations.”
    “I can tell.”
In minutes, you’re pulling up outside of the small, slanted-roofed house of Ann-Marie Brekkar. You look at it, inhaling deeply, reminded that you would soon be leaving this place once Ann-Marie’s contract was used up in another few months. You’d be sent back to the foster system once again, and that thought alone was enough to make you shudder.
You turn back to Keith, placing a warm smile on your face. “Thanks for the ride home.”
Keith nods. “Anytime. Call me when you’re done all your homework and stuff. I might need help on what to order from the Chinese and I only trust you at this point.”
   “I’m honoured to be of-“
Your words are cut short by a rapping tap against the window behind you. Your head whirls round, horror flooding your system as your eyes meet no other than Ann-Marie and Patricks own pair of matching ones.
They’re grinning from ear to ear. They’ve spotted Keith. Keith. The boy you’ve been talking about non-stop. The boy they’ve insisted on meeting for the past few months. The boy you’ve been desperately trying to hide from their sight just so you can avoid any awkward encounters.
They were here now, looking at him in all of his glory and suddenly, you feel the urge to throw up.
  “Oh God, no.”
“Y/N!” Ann-Marie squeals, pulling open the door that you wished you had locked. You scramble for the handle in an attempt to close it over, making Keith burst out into laughter, but you find nothing funny about the situation.
Ann-Marie fights against you, throwing open the door and pulling on your arm. You stumble out of your seatbelt, giving her full access to Keith and she does not waste a moment in reaching over the controls and shaking the poor boys hand.
“You must be Keith!” Ann-Marie hollers. “I’m Ann-Marie, Y/N’s foster mother. This is my son, Patrick. It’s so lovely to meet you finally! The boy who’s been getting our little girl out of her shell.”
“Ann-Marie,” you hiss. Keith clearly doesn’t know how to respond, his lips pulled into an amused grin though his eyes are wide, darting between you and the crazy woman currently yelling in his face. “Keith has places to be. I think you’ve bothered him enough.”
Ann-Marie shakes her head. “Nonsense! You can come in for a cup of tea, can’t you? We have all types of different flavours, so I’m sure you’ll find one you like.”
   “I don’t think he can-“
   “I’d love to.”
Your jaw falls open, eyes popping wide. You turn your attention fully to Keith, silently pleaing with him to take back his acceptance, silently trying to portray just what he’s getting himself into – he’s not about to walk into your usual ‘family home.’ He’s about to walk into a foster home. There will be no pictures of you hung up on the wall, no lovey-dovey family time, no home cooked meals where everybody sits around the table and talks about their day.
He’s about to walk in to what you can only describe as business. Paper work with your name written on the top of it, medical records with your name plastered on it, Ann-Marie asking you her usual daily questions that she’s permitted to ask you at the end of each day so she can send the information back to the foster people.
The idea of him seeing that side of you makes your stomach form into a knot, but there’s nothing you can do as Keith slips out of his truck, locks the door behind him and allows Ann-Marie to take his arm, leading him into the house. Keith takes one look at you over his shoulder, snatches his camera up from the back seat before he and Ann-Marie disappear into the confines of the house.
You rub at your temples, trying your hardest not to let out a groan of frustration. It wasn’t like Keith would understand any of it, anyway. He didn’t know how the foster system worked, and yet you still dreaded the questions he would surely ask you once he sees just what actually happens within a foster family.
“You’re overreacting,” Patrick grunts, placing a hand on your arm. “Never thought I’d say that about Y/N L/N.”
Keith sips at his cup of tea sheepishly, eyes darting around the large and freshly-polished kitchen he had just been dragged into. You sit across from him, nibbling on your bottom lip, trying to fight off any and all forms of embarrassing conversation – it’s not like there’s much to tell him. Ann-Marie didn’t have any stories of you when you were a baby, unless she wanted to go into details of you being abandoned at the age of two because your parents couldn’t look after you. Unless she wanted to go into details about the amount of schools you’ve transferred out of because the system was beginning to catch on to the fact that nothing they were teaching you was anything new. Unless she wanted to go into details about the years of therapy you had endured in search of your emotional quota, only to turn up empty.
   Until now.
“So, tell us a bit about yourself, Keith,” Ann-Marie begins. She huffs as she takes a seat in front of him, leaning over the counter. “How did you and Y/N meet?”
Keith looks over at you, trying to hide his smile behind the lip of his cup. “We met – uh – in detention a few months back.”
Ann-Marie frowns. “Of course it was detention. She’s always getting herself into trouble, aren’t you?”
“Not my fault the teachers don’t know how to punish people who are smarter than them.”
Keith chokes on his tea, eyes popping open as he attempts to hide his shock behind a fit of coughing. You fold your arms over your chest, looking away from the scene in front of you and allowing it to play out away from your vision.
“And did you two just hit it off?” Patrick chirps in. “I didn’t even know Y/N could speak to anybody outside of the family.”
“She was easy enough to get on with,” Keith replies. He fails to mention the slight argument the two of you had gotten into upon first meeting; you’re thankful that he believed that wasn’t a necessary part of the story. “We got paired up for a biology project a few days after we met and we’ve been best friends ever since.”
“Best friends?” Ann-Marie squeals, throwing her hands over her mouth. “Did you hear that, Pat? Our girl has a best friend!”
“Stop calling me your girl. I’m older than Patrick.”
“You really have improved, haven’t you?” Ann-Marie says. She turns back to Keith. “You might not know this, but she struggles a little bit with emotions. Handling them. With intelligence comes a downfall, I suppose. Not a lot of people are able to relate with her.”
You blush, ducking your head down to look at your lap. You can feel Keith’s eyes burning holes in the top of your head but you refuse to look up to meet his gaze. There was nothing you could say or do in this situation that would lighten the blow of Ann-Marie’s words, the truth behind them that you had come to terms with years ago, to the point where the truth didn’t even bother you any more. Sure, it sucked to be the one person in the class who never had a partner for the project. Sometimes it sucked to always be sat by yourself at lunch, but it was all you had ever known.
Keith didn’t know that. He didn’t know that you had spent your entire life living in your own little world, isolated and happy with it. He didn’t know that he was the driving force that dug you out of a hole of loneliness and placed you in the comforting grip of friendship.
Now he did, though. You can feel the realisation pouring out of him, even if he doesn’t say anything.
Ann-Marie continues. “She handles isolation quite well, I think. I’ve never seen her open up to anyone like this. It’s a lovely sight to see. Do you want a biscuit?”
“I’m okay,” Keith says. His voice sounds clipped, almost wavering and it unsettles you. “I don’t understand why nobody would relate to her. I find her intelligence very intriguing.”
“There’s a difference between intrigue and relatability,” you say, still not looking up.
“Well, something has to have been keeping me attached to you. I think I relate with you a lot more than you realise.”
Confusion swarms in your stomach. You look up, eyes narrowed as they click with Keith’s. Despite him refusing a biscuit, he pops one into his mouth anyway and chews thoughtfully on it, giving Ann-Marie a grateful nod before he’s looking back at you. His dark eyes are filled with something you had never seen before – not within him, anyway. Like a wall has been knocked down and suddenly he’s showing you who he is behind it, who he’s been hiding this entire time. Perhaps it’s the fluttery smile that he greets you with once you finally make eye contact, or the way he suddenly seems to sit up straighter in his chair, looks you in the eyes in ways he had never done before. He suddenly just seems more lively, and you crave to ask him why.
What had sparked this in him all of a sudden?
The day draws on. You, Patrick, Ann-Marie and Keith all gather around the kitchen table to play a game of Monopoly which ends in Ann-Marie and Patrick arguing about cheaters and you calculating the exact amount of houses you needed to buy to make all three of them bankrupt, though the game never escalated far enough for you to do so. Patrick ended up flipping the board into Keith’s lap, telling Ann-Marie that she couldn’t possibly buy Mayfare because that was his house.
You roll your eyes, giving Keith an apologetic side glance that he returns with a giddy grin of his own. You had never seen him look so bouncy, so happy, so engaged in social functions outside of photography.
It made a warm feeling sprout in your chest, one you quickly patted down with the denial you had been using as of lately.
“Alright, alright! Enough!” Ann-Marie yells, pulling Patrick down into the seat next to her. Patrick silences almost immediately, folding his arms over his chest and pouting. “Keith, honey, would you like another slice of cake?”
Keith silences his laughter with his hand, shaking his head as he does so. “No, thank you. I should get going before my dad starts to worry.”
“Oh, of course. We lost track of time, I suppose. Y/N will lead you to do the door, won’t you dear?”
You stand up, ushering for Keith to follow you. “It would be my pleasure.”
The two of you exit the kitchen, and as soon as the door closes behind you, you sigh and press your back against the wall just beside the front door. Keith looks down at you with an amused grin still twitching at his lips, eyes boring into yours. You have the urge to tug his collar, pull him down into you, and the thought alone makes your stomach skitter. You inhale, looking away from him.
“They can be a bit much sometimes,” you say. “I forgot to mention that.”
Keith chuckles. “I had a great time. I don’t think I’ve been so entertained in months.”
You roll your eyes, unable to hold back the small smile which creeps upon your own lips. Soon, the two of you are smiling at one another, you looking up at him and him looking down at you, his hands stuffed inside of his red jacket and his black hair pushed back on his head to reveal his forehead which he so often hid when he was in school. The moment feels nice. It’s like the air has been replaced by something a little lighter, something which makes you feel calm.
You want to lean in. With every fibre of your being, you want to lean in but your overactive brain puts a stop to your urge as soon as it arrives, hissing at you about all that could go wrong. What if you accidentally hit his nose too hard and hurt him? Where would you even put your hands? What if the exact angle at which you were standing wasn’t directly parallel to his lips and thus causing you to peck his cheek instead of his lips? What if, mathematically thinking, he was-
“My dad,” Keith breaths, suddenly. You inhale, standing up straighter.
“Right. Your dad,” you say. “I’ll get out of your way, then. Have a safe journey home, yeah? I don’t want to hear about you getting wrapped around a lamp post.”
“I’ll keep that in mind,” Keith chuckles, and before you can react, he’s leaned forward and has pressed a light, feathery kiss to the skin just below your ear. It takes you by surprise – since when did Keith ever show that kind of emotion?
Your breathing stops. You can feel his warm breath against your ear lobe as he pulls away, just a little, with his lips still scraping the skin of your neck when he whispers, “I’ll see you in school tomorrow.”
He pulls away fully, takes one glimpse at your suddenly frozen demeanour, grins to himself and leaves the house.
   That little shit.
He knew full well what he was doing. Judging by the hyped grin that was still on his face when you looked out of the window, he was overjoyed with himself. He had pulled a reaction out of you, one you hadn’t shown before.
You hated it, but your heartbeat had picked up so much and you can feel sweat lining your hands and you can feel your lips pulling into a smile of their own. You know you loved it. You loved the feel of his lips, and the teasing twinge he had to his voice when he pulled away.
You just wished you hadn’t enjoyed it.
You watch his pick-up truck pull out of your driveway and you stay by the window until he rounds the corner, exiting your estate for good. You then pull your knees into your chest, rest your head on your knees and let out a sigh of contentment.
    Buzz.
Your head snaps up, looking towards the direction of the noise. Your stomach drops when you see Keith’s phone dug between the sofa pillows, lighting up only once with a text message.
Do you pick it up? How had he even managed to leave it here? He was always so attached to his phone, getting panicked whenever anybody looked over his shoulder when he was using it. How had such an important thing slipped his mind?
You reach over and grab for the device, scanning your eyes over the text message before your own conscience can kick in and tell you to put it down, to simply put it down and bring it to him tomorrow. Whoever was texting him wanted to speak to Keith, not you. Whatever they were discussing had nothing to do with you, and yet you read the text anyway.
Your mouth feels like it’s suddenly been stuffed with cotton balls. Your breathing shallows, cheeks turning red with a heat that is far from happy. Your smile falters, turning into an angered scowl as you read the words over and over, not entirely sure what to do with them but knowing they aren’t right.
You don’t need context to know what If you don’t get home in the next ten minutes, I’ll take your other eye means.
   Sent by Dad.
  Keith’s POV
I had noticed my phone had gone missing almost as soon as I had pulled into the driveway of my house; Dad could already see me through the window, watching me pat down my many pockets in a frantic attempt to find the device I so desperately needed.
But it was not there, and there was no way in hell Dad was going to let me go back and get it – not whenever I had arrived home this late.
He had grabbed my hair as soon as I walked in the door, shoved me into a cupboard, spat some rude words at me before he had gone off to his own bedroom, leaving me alone to curl up in the corner of the kitchen, feeling stupid and weak and every other bad thing in the world.
I woke up the next morning still curled against the kitchen counter. It was 6am – I had time to take a shower, redress my swollen eye before getting to school early to meet Y/N in the library. Maybe she hadn’t read anything, if anything had been sent. Usually, if it wasn’t Dad’s threatening text messages, my phone was relatively quiet. Maybe she hadn’t even found it and I could simply request to go back to her house to look for it after school.
I wash up, redress my eye and head to school. I feel safer as soon as the door to the pick-up truck closes, and I let myself relax.
As soon as I enter the school library, the calmness fades.
The librarian isn’t in her usual seat at the front of the room. In fact, the entire room seems empty bar Y/N, who sits in our usual seats with my phone clenched between her fingers, her face pale and hair a mess around her head. I feel a sudden urge to hug her, ask her if she’s okay, but the reasoning behind her startled demeanour comes as no secret to me – judging by the way she keeps glancing down at my cell phone, she had read something.
I want to turn around and leave. I get ready to, not wanting to be in the same room as her at the moment, not until I can find a liable excuse as to what she has just read, but her eyes find mine and she’s standing up all of a sudden, marching towards me and my feet are stuck to the floor, keeping me still, keeping me in her gaze despite my need to turn around and never look back.
She slams the phone into my chest once she reaches me. “You’re staying over at my house tonight and we’re going to the police tomorrow morning with Ann-Marie.”
    I blink. “What?”
“Please don’t do this, Keith.” She runs her hands through her hair, turns back to the seats and sits herself down. Her hands are shaking – my heart breaks. “You’re not safe, are you? That black eye wasn’t just from a playful fight.”
I swallow thickly. I want to cry. I don’t know why, but I do. My chest feels tight, and everytime I try to speak, no words come out. For a moment, I know I must look absolutely ridiculous. Eyes faded out, unfocused even though I’m staring right at her in this moment. My fingers are clenched tightly around my mobile phone, knuckles white. Lip pulled between my teeth because I can’t find the words to respond.
I hadn’t realised how scary this would be – being caught out. The truth finally unfolding after years of hiding it, enduring the abuse on my own because telling somebody else would mean I would be put in this situation – being completely vulnerable in the one place where I felt I was in control of my own life.
Y/N tilts her head to the side, lower lip popping out and it is then that I see the glistening of tears over her irises. I had never seen her cry before. She had once told me that she was incapable of crying, and yet here she was with shaking hands and a layer of tears which are threatening to spill.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” she asks. “I could have done something sooner. How – How long has this been going on?”
I shake my head, swallowing the golf ball sized lump in my throat. “You couldn’t have done anything about it. You can’t do anything about it.”
    “How long, Keith?”
“Since my mum died.” And then the first sets of tears fall from the both of us. I hadn’t even realised there were tears building up, but they’re streaming down my face in seconds, and suddenly Y/N is standing up again, making her way towards me.
I flinch when she’s close enough. She pauses, overlooks my demeanour before she’s reaching up and wrapping her thin arms around me in a way that is so comforting to me that I can’t even describe it. Her warmth engulfs me and I let the mobile phone fall from my hands, landing with a thump against the carpet. I wrap my own arms around her waist, tugging her impossibly closer as little sobs of her own rack her body. I bury my face in the crook of her neck. She strokes the ends of my hair.
“It’s okay,” she whispers. “It’s not your fault. You know that, right? None of it is your fault, and you won’t have to go through it any more. I’m gonna help you get the justice you deserve, do you hear me? You don’t deserve to be treated that way, Keith Kogane. Not you. Not you of all people.”
“She died on my birthday,” I choke out, not entirely sure why. Y/N makes an attempt to pull away to allow me to speak without the muffling of her shoulder, but I drag her back into my embrace. “He’s seen me as a bad luck mark ever since. He started drinking and – and he hates having me out of his sight because he’s afraid he’ll lose me to. He doesn’t want to lose any more people. That’s all it is. He just doesn’t want to be alone.”
“Don’t make excuses for him,” she says. I close my eyes, burrowing my head further into her neck. “He doesn’t deserve protection.”
I know she’s right. I press my lips against her shoulder blade, inhaling deeply and she freezes in my grip but she doesn’t move. She instead tightens her grip on my shoulders, pulling me closer to her, and in this moment, I feel the safest I have ever been. Her arms wrapped around me with the whispered promise of the safety which is soon to come ringing in my ears. With anybody else, I would have called them crazy. Looked for any and all excuses to try and make my dad out to seem innocent, but she hadn’t asked me about it. She had walked right up to me, told me she was going to find me help, and that was it. She hadn’t given me the option to object, and that was why I was breaking down in her arms right now. It was a mix of fear and a mix of gratefulness all rolled into one.
As I hug her now, swaying back and forth only a little bit, I realise just how much this woman means to me, whether she knows it or not. Because she means everything to me. She has saved me from things I cannot begin to explain, helped me fight through emotions which would rip me down if I had let them get any larger.
   I loved her.
   Y/N’S POV
You hug him, swaying back and forth only a little bit. The world seems wrong and right all at the same time. The background knowledge of what he was going through, the signs you had missed, still nibble at your skull, but your arms are wrapped around him and in this moment, you know he is safe.
He will be safe. He won’t have to worry anymore.
You realise now that you cared for him far more than you had originally planned. You had let yourself fall into the trap of human emotions, and you weren’t exactly regretful of the stumble. Because you were feeling things that you had never felt before, but that didn’t make them bad. You had been trying to push away this certain emotion for months, but as you hold Keith in your arms right now, him in his most vulnerable state, there’s no denying it.
You loved him. You loved Keith Kogane.

so apparently P5R just usurped P4G and is now the best selling Persona remake/remaster/whatever; how do ya feel?
Dunno why I didn’t see this, phone’s not giving me updates it seems. ;w; Anyway.... Short Answer: Meh, I really don’t care, I’m more interested in Scramble/Strikers numbers. Long answer tho....(gonna be long, not a rant just I’ve had A LOT of thoughts about sales numbers since P3/5D’s and PQ2′s releases).
I’m not surprised, I mean it’s a remake on a mainline console, combined the fact that it was popular too (I’ll come back to this when I talk about the other Persona games but for now put a pin in that). But there are two things I’m more interested in, 1) P5R’s lifetime sales, and 2) Scramble/Striker’s numbers.
1) Will possibly show how many newcomers we’ve retained. And I’m interested in that because....P5 sold a few million right? If Atlus can retain that that’d be amazing! We won’t know till the Western releases tho. But if it doesn’t, and sells say.....as much as P4G’s life time sales, then....all P5 did was retain the hardcore original audience, it didn’t win over as many new people as we thought it did. Which isn’t a failure, but it’s.....a crude way to say it (sorry I just woke up words are hard), it’s that P5 isn’t as really as hot shit as we all thought it was (and it probably just sold well due to timing and crazy marketing).
2) What I REALLY want to know is P5S’ sales tho, even more than P5R’s. Since I think that might indicate P5′s standing if it’s as much as a fan favorite as P5 vanilla′s sales show. And it might be the first time we have a clearish answer without any other possibility being the reason for sales numbers. Lemme explain, P5R might do well because is a mainline game instead of a spinoff (but it could do meh compared to P3P and P4G in terms of lifetime sales due to the new comers not wanting to rebuy the game for whatever reason: Same console [which is a double edge sword, PS4 is popular but also people might not want to buy the same game for the same console twice], not worth the price, not enough new changes in their eyes). P5D did poorly, but is it because it was just bad, was it cause of the shitty DLC practices, was it because it didn’t have a lot of content (aka no real plot like P4D)? We don’t know. PQ2? Was it cause it was bad, was it cause it was released on a dying console (as opposed to PQ1 being released at the peak popularity of that console), was it on a console that P5 was it released on, was it cause it featured P3/4 cast and it was aimed at P5 audiences who have no idea who those people are? We don’t really know (this one is probably the dying console tho, which means could it have done well/better if released on the Switch instead?). Did both do bad cause they weren’t really sequels (both technically take place during P5 so yeah)? But P5S? It’s releasing on two very popular consoles, and it’s set as a sequel, so far doesn’t look like there’s a lot of scummy practices going on, actually looks like it has content (so if there are some scummy DLC practices, at least that’s not the ONLY thing you can think about, like with P3/5D). It has A LOT going for it in terms of a spinoff, that even non hardcore/new fans can get into. And I want to know what kind of impact P5 left on the fanbase as a whole and so far it’s not doing so hot spinoff wise (maybe anime too, when the anime was still in the middle of it’s run it wasn’t doing as hot as P4′s first anime or P3′s movies....at least sales wise I found, but that was in the middle maybe it got better), merch sales are probably doing fine tho (since they keep announcing new things). So to me P5′s......all over the gd place.
tldr; I think P5S will show us a decent idea on how P5 as a series is doing compared to P3/4, it started off strong with it’s main game but has struggled with it’s spinoffs which might be because of other reasons than people just being “meh” on it. P5R will be a good chance to see how many people stayed.
Now let’s look at the other games. You should know, considering hurdles P5 didn’t have (except maybe P3P, but on the other hand it probs could’ve excelled more on a home console), the modern day Persona games (Tadashi/Old games got screwed and I’ll explain but it’s probably for the same reason as PQ2, or at least for P2EP) did well despite these hurdles, well both original and remakes but I’mma focus on the remakes (all you need to know about P3 Vanilla and FES and P4 vanilla is that they were both released post PS3 and/or towards the end PS2′s life cycle and still did great).
Now P3P probably had the easiest, released during a very popular time for the PSP, and it ended up selling better than EITHER of it’s two PS2 counterparts Life to date (now if you cheated and combined Vanilla and FES, then yeah P3P sold 80,000 less than those two/all their versions, but that’s 2V1 and it’s still amazing how well it did). There was def an uptick in sales, maybe it was all newcomers or maybe it was half old and half new people, but it still resulted in more people buying it than it’s original (which is why I still wanted to talk about it despite it not having the same hurdles as P4G).
P4G however, that’s where the biggest hurdle comes in (and why I really bring this up). The Vita. A console that sold peanuts compared to the PSP, PS2, PS3, and PS4. No, less than peanuts. 10/15 Million compared to the 80-150 million the other 4 ranged from. I mean yeah a million is a lot, but now you need to market to those million, no, you need to get people to BUY this console first (it was released roughly when the Vita dropped). You need to convince people to ditch their PSP, for a console that isn’t backwards compatible, for this semi-obscure Japanese title. But god damn it did, it almost got all it’s sales from the PS2 back. Hell it exceeded it’s original run L-t-D if you don’t count “The Best” re-releases (Vanilla’s cheaper re-release sold more than P4G’s cheaper re-release). I don’t know if these are also new people, or all hardcore fans, but it did really damn well! It got people hyped and it got people to buy this game AND console! (tho I wouldn’t be surprised if it was at the sacrifice of poor P2:EP, may you rest in peace ;w;). And that was a BIG hurdle for it to overcome!
Like P3P and P4G really make me wonder how well they’d do with a real remake on the PS4/PS5. Like a port would probs do well, but imagine if they actually improved the graphics and changed/added new things, I think it’d sell about as well as P5 vanilla.
P5R’s biggest hurdle is justifying itself as a full price game remake on the same console. But like FES could do that (so I think P5R’s outlook is fine, no real hurdles like P4G had to go through)....and just for fun cause I hate myself (jk I dunno I just wanna see if I can take a guess at JPN’s possible sales based off of numbers of past re-releases). And FES’ first week compared to it’s vanilla is 10% higher than Royal, but Royal has more units sold obvie, FES sold about 80% the total the vanilla did, Royal did 70%, L-t-D for FES was 78% not counting cheaper-re-releases, 82% counting re-releases...but I think that’s because P3 Vanilla didn’t have a re-release cause of FES. If I use that as a base.......P5R’s numbers (going off of the graphs from Personacentral like this one and of course the P5R one, which I think are all Japanese sales). If P5R follows a similar patter to FES’ sales %.... I’ll give P5R 72%-82% of Vanilla’s sales (including the cheaper re-release), and we’re looking at maybe L-t-D sales of Royal ranging from about 334,955 to 381,476 units sold.
If Royal follows a similar pattern to P4G however (cause P5R is more similar to FES and P4G, I’ll do P4G’s too for fun, but I won’t do P3P’s). So there are two life to date numbers, one before factoring in P4/P4G’s re-releases and one after. Before P4G sold about 111% more than vanilla, after re-releases it sold about 96% of Vanilla’s total units. So a low ball and high ball of Royal with P4G’s % would be.....446,606 to 516,389 units sold.
So combining those two together, I predict (aka this is a theory that I wanted to do for fun for WHATEVER reason, made by someone that JUST woke up and trying to get my math out as quickly as possible, maybe if I have time next week I’ll go back and check my work....I’m very busy this week sadly ;w;) P5R’s L-t-D (pre- cheaper re-release)sales to be somewhere to be 334,955 to 516,389 for Japan.
But that’s Japan, Japan it feels like they’re more willing to re-buy games on the same console, the West might not be as inclined tho (if we re-buy something, it’s because it’s on a different console). So while P5R could sell about as well as Vanilla did in Japan, I dunno so much about the west.
tldr; P5R did about as well as I thought in Japan, but not sure about the West. Some number predictions for P5R. If P5R does poorly in the West it could be because it’s was released on the PS4 instead of a different system. P5S I think will give us a better idea on how P5 is doing as a franchise compared to P4.
(also I should note, I prefer vanilla P4 over P4G, there’s some good stuff in P4G, but 1) I prefer Tracey Rooney as Chie, I prefer her down to earth approach more, and 2) there’s some things in P4G that ruins my enjoyment and outweighs the new positive stuff. I like all the remakes barring the guy who directed P4G/P5R, I haven’t finalized my thoughts on P5R yet tho. I do like Kasumi more than Marie tho just on a personality level, still thinking over how they handled her tho. I will say P5R has a lot of gameplay improvements that fixed a lot of gameplay gripes I had so like that’s all I feel like saying/can say about P5R, gameplays better!).

Persona Q2: Analysis +THeories pt 2
Continuing from my rambles, I’m now gonna pick apart the trailer little by little, maybe even throw some theories in the air
Tumblr media
Something I found interesting (btw this and the P4 shot seem to be taking place in a warehouse, no idea but I’m more interested in the after shots):
The paint replaces/looks like bloodsplater
The paint make up P3P’s 3 main colors, Blue (MaleMC), Red (FeMC),  and Green (Shared/Dark Hour)
The shame/colors also remind me of Minato’s P3D shoes.
Tumblr media
This reminds me a lot of Arena/Utimax with the screen being cracked. Also Arena has red, and Ultimax has Blue (and Ultimax has the “dark messiah” which set up parallels to Minato/Sho). I do think it’s funny how P4 got red, despite FeMC and P5 having red as their main theme.....
Also these shots are probably from the opening. XP
Tumblr media
P4 girls can be seen, so they are def in here. We are probably looking at a full P3xP4xP5+FeMC cast.
Tumblr media
Teddie and Mona
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(also I know I made a separate post about this, but I’mma go into more detail here including a theory so stay with me). This weird Shadow might be our Zen...he kinda reminds me of Steve from Catherine. I see he has eyelashes on one  side of his face, maybe he has some connection to FeMC and Minato?
Actually come to think of it, he reminds me a lot of the  Hyottoko mask:
Tumblr media
Defined as: “ comical Japanese character, portrayed through the use of a mask. His mouth is puckered and skewed to one side. Some masks have different eye sizes between the left and right eyes. He is often wearing a scarf around his head (usually white with blue dots). There is a similar character for women called Okame (阿亀) or Otafuku (阿多福).”
Holy shit it is the guy!
But let’s not stop there. This is what wikipedia also says (stay with me, there’s a theory involved):
“ The origin of the name comes from "fire" (火 hi) and "man" (男 otoko), because the character is blowing fire with a bamboo pipe, hence the shape of the mouth.
Hyottoko seems to have been a legendary character in Japan in the past, and is now a stock character.
In Iwate Prefecture, there is a myth about the origin of Hyottoko. In the story, there was a boy with a bizarre face who could create gold out of his belly button, so when someone died in a house, you would put the mask of this boy at the top of the fireplace to bring good fortune to the house. The name of the boy was Hyoutokusu (ヒョウトクス). This is considered one of the possible names that lend plausibility to the origin of Hyottoko.
In some parts of north eastern Japan, Hyottoko is regarded as the god of fire. There is a well known folk story in the form of music, izumoyasugibushi (出雲安来節) where a fisherman dances with a bamboo basket, having the same visual expression as the mask of Hyottoko. During this dance, a person puts five yen coins on their nose. This is similar to myth of Iwate prefecture. Izumo is the old name of Iwate prefecture and Izumo was famous for its iron industry. The dance was part of a dedication for fire and steel.
Hyottoko also appears in traditional dance dengaku (田楽). He plays the role of a clown. Dancers wearing Hyottoko masks also appear in some Japanese local festivals. One of the most famous Hyottoko dances takes place in Miyazaki Prefecture - Hyuga Hyottoko Natsumatsuri (日向ひょっとこ夏祭り). The Hyotokko dance is believed to originate in the Edo period."
So I highlighted some things.... Remember how I said I feel like he might be connected to the FeMC and Minato? Esp with the girly eye and the male eye? Well do you remember something that’s in common to FeMC/Minato? Both have Orpheus, fire user Persona, and also tied to music (also the Persona wears a scarf while Hyoto over here wears a tie). Also the fact Hyotoko acts like that of a clown, aka a Fool aka the Fool arcana.
Not just that, the Hyottoko mask is referenced in P3, both on the FeMC’s DramaCD side (during LIz/Theo’s convo), and also in game where Fuuka comments on one.
Tumblr media
(theo and liz then go to talk about the Hyottoko counterpart and Liz tries to set theo up to get ripped on by Margaret XP)
Tumblr media
Fuuka why you no have a happy face for this??? ah whatever. Anyway this seems to really push....I dunno....a connection maybe? XD Gotta wait for more info but yeah there seems to be a pre established connection with this mask and P3. Anyway moving on!
Tumblr media
You can see Joker in the background, looks like part of the opening sequence.
Tumblr media
Welp AIgis is here so it’s all good. 8U
Tumblr media
Something is up, other than Futaba obviously using a booster seat to even be the same height as Anne, Mona is in thief form.....but the rest aren’t.....not sure which is weirder, the cat in PT form or the lack of PT forms for everyone else....
Tumblr media
Maybe she has anxiety? Fear of being watched? Ironic for a wannabe director (who wants people to watch their work). Eyes remind me of Motoko’s tbh (see previous rambles), similar color (not the same but when is Persona ever consistent).
Tumblr media
Fire....I thought maybe something connected to the FeMC/Minato, but it could be connected to Hyottoko.
Tumblr media
Teddie is there. And From the bottom part, it looks like you can have Souji, Ren, Minato on your team all at one. Yukari is there too so the other P3 characters should be there too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As much as we can joke about this. I like to remind everyone that that is not a real gun. And it probably doesn’t work the same way as it does in the Metaverse....So he could’ve pulled it on Souji and realized it wasn’t....working....and then had to improvise.
Reason why I don’t think it can work is probably cause SEES probs wouldn’t be able to safely use their Evokers. Dunno if they are even gonna implement guns in PQ2, but if they aren’t this could be their way of explaining why.
Tumblr media
Fwooffy hair~! I think this is the Tziah block (btw shinji is around for this one):
Tumblr media
Moving on/lastley the FeMC.
Tumblr media
So first let’s look at the gym. Between the gold arm and the fact it says “gym” it kinda reminds me of the “GOld Gym” from P2. The arm also reminds me of the Protein gym from P5 too tbh. I don’t think it’s either but....just throwing that out there. The buildings do remind me of Iwatodai tbh but that’s probs a coincidence.
The next thing i wanna point out are the two skeletons to the right.I can’t read the purple words, but they remind me Calaca tbh. Calaca’s are used in Day Of the Dead, and between the blue hair and the ponytail....I think you know who I might be referring too...Yeah something to do with the FeMC/Minato.

Note
Any hopes and wishes for pq2?
They were granted when the FeMC showed up. 8U Jk, not jk.
Hmmmm
P3(P) and P4 vs P5. I want the drama, the clashing of ideals. They can work together but still have issues with one and other (I don’t think either P3 or P4 groups should end up joining P5′s because I feel like P3/4 have a lot more similar ideals than P5′s kids). I want them to actually make P5 present it’s ideals and ACTUALLY DEVELOP THEM INSTEAD OF DROPPING THEM AFTER MENTIONING THEM AND THEN NEVER DOING ANYTHING WITH IT AGAIN! *cough*
Minato vs Hamuko. Not in the same fashion above, but I feel like they are different enough to butt heads, and I feel like, while they might share a same core ideal, they might have different views on how to obtain it.
Minato and Hamuko bonding (I want a love hate relationship with them tbh). Maybe they bond over Pharos. One conflict I thought would be cool for Hamuko, is considering how P3P makes it feel like she’s close to ALL her SEES members, she feels personally….betrayed in a way whenever they go behind their back and cause drama (such as Yukari asking Fuuka to hack the Kirijou group). She feels like she’s the glue trying to hold the group together, but she feels she might break at any second. I dunno what Minato might say, maybe something like “Oh I never thought of that tbh….I just felt like coworkers and just let them do their own thing.” Maybe feel bad he’s not as close to the guys as Hamuko apparently is.
Goro/Ken/Yosuke talking about revenge
Goro/Makoto/Haru and Ken having a mind trip over the fact they are all the same age.
Naoto being suspicious of Goro, and Goro being wary of Naoto but trying to play it off (maybe even Souji being wary of Goro too).
Minato and Hamuko being confirmed to not be the “same” person similar to ala Bioshock Infinite’s Lutece Twins. But instead something more like….P2′s Doppelgängers. Ironic since if you perform the character shadow/outline test they are actually pretty easy to identify (unlike apparently Tatsuya and Jun). But yeah just being kindred spirits/souls who happen to share the same fate depending on the timeline (and possible the other still existing in each other timelines)
Hamuko getting a female Orpheus Telos or a female Messiah. (or a diff Ult Persona to Minato, so I guess a fem OT would be the best choice).
Hamuko and Minato being able to perform limited fusion spells (if you are a fan of this duo, you probably like the idea of them shooting each other in the head to perform such a fusion).
Not having any characters perm in the party, aka I don’t need to have an MC in there…Oh looks like as I was typing this MysticDistance confirmed this in the Famitsu article…..sweet!
Anne/Aigis/Teddie blonde babies interacting ;w;
Anne/Hamuko interacting
Group Date Cafe returning
and being able to pair Hamuko up with my ships (from roughly greatest to not as greatest main ships): Minato/Hamuko, Anne/Hamuko, Souji/Hamuko, Aigis/Hamuko, Yosuke/Hamuko, Teddie/Hamuko, Mitsuru/Hamuko, Shinji/Hamuko.
Hamuko having a very important role (confirmed/seems to be hinted at while typing this)
PQ2′s reason for existing being similar to PQ1′s. Aka, PQ1′s reason is cause it helped explain why the P3/4 kids trusted each other so quickly (cause they had their subconscious memories), and also to wrap up who Labby’s mama was. But for PQ2 it’s to set up the next possible arena game, and maybe to reintroduce the Minato Timeline!FeMC as a “new” character.
P5 kids finding out Igor might not really be Igor
Margaret/Liz/Theo (if they are even there) meeting the Twins and being very confused.
More secret bosses.
Edit: I guess Goro talking about his past and telling the P5 kids what he tells them around the boss fight and....well not really “redeeming” himself but maybe deciding to just work with them to take Shido down.
All I can think of right now. XP
