What would Rafal say about Mifal?
(which I wholeheartedly ship against my better judgment btw)
Also, would he consider me a seer?
for reasons...
Hopefully, the answer I came up with isn't too disappointing.
โธป
Rafal: What is "Mifal?"
[After he receives an explanation:]
Rafal: Ergo, you intended to "ship" me with a student... why?ย I don't love, and I'm not about to make aย habit of it. It'd sooner be cold in Hell before that happens. [dismissively, with a note of sarcasm] I think you would better your chances by bringing this query to my brother. I'm sure he'd just rejoice to hear it. Besides, as useful to my cause as he was, Midas was too willfulโ€”the boy didn't even follow through with myย plans.
Rhian: [overhears and interrupts, mockingly] O, the great Rafal was felled yet again by the error of his ways. You should've known he wouldn't be pliable enough for eitherย of our plots! Even your originalย class of students sentencedย you to life in Monrovia. Loyalty these days is seldom a given among subordinates. [shaking his head.]
Midas: You're one to talk. As if anyone's ever been loyal to me!ย And, Rafal wanted to ship me with that puffed-up, googly-eyed brother of his? Bleh. What use do I have for him?
[Personally, I'm doubtful about whether Midas would ever admit his feelings openly, given how he can barely tolerate sentimental, Everish customs. Did he have (confirmed or implicit?) feelings for Rafal? I don't think I interpreted his character in the same way as you might've.]
โธป
Which reasons? I don't quite follow what you mean.

Midas, James, some other guy or gal
Okay that k pop ask REALLY made me miss my bestie. She introduced me to this song a long time ago BTW

A Quick Look At Private Lottery Systems That Claim To Be Related To The Lottery
People around the world enjoy lottery drawings with lotteries as one of the possible ways of winning huge เธซเธงเธข เธ—เธตเนˆเธชเธธเธ”เนƒเธ™เน‚เธฅเธย  ย amounts of money. There are lotteries for men, women and children who play lottery games to earn some money. There is also a popular game of lotto with international groups playing it regularly. The word "lottery" comes from the Latin "la" meaning lot or pot, and "tract" meaning dice or ball. "Lotto" came into being from the French term "lottery", the name given to the game by the Romans in the 1st century BC.
The first lottery game in the United States was organized by the United States Lottery Commission in January, 1931. It is played in all fifty states, with the proceeds going to support various other's organizations, especially those in the southern part of the United States. "Lotto" has now come to be associated with various others playing games of chance, and people can now win millions of dollars with a single game.
In the United States, the lottery game is usually played by purchasing tickets, which have the power to predict winning combinations. There are three types of lottery games: live, video, and scratch cards. Live draws give the winners cash prizes. Powerball is played in a casino. scratch cards are given away as prizes for various games. Most often prizes for scratch cards are worth only a few dollars.
Many cities throughout the United States, including New York, Cleveland, Chicago and Las Vegas have their own version of the lotto game. Vast numbers of people play both the national lottery and lotto. France, Canada, Italy, Thailand and the Philippines are other countries that have their own version of the lottery. The Canadian lotto has now become known as the Canadian Lottery Combination. A combination of national lottery and lotto is called a national lotto roll.
An interesting type of the lotto is mifal happy, sometimes called the "other numbers" lottery. It is played in the states of Illinois, Wisconsin and California. Like other lotto games, it is a lottery game based on chance. Although no one knows for sure how the game works, there are many clues that lead leading to the possibility of winning.
The game of lotto is believed to have originated in ancient India, as mentioned in the Bible. There are numerous stories of the lotto being used as a form of currency in different civilizations. The state lottery is one of the most popular private lotteries in the world. In the United States alone, more than sixteen billion dollars are won every year.

honestly, Rafal x (well written) quirky strange character who is also introverted but more "people driven" would be my OTP
Like Mifal is nice but we all know what happened, even I admit it.
Maybe james could slightly pass because he gives "good grades but friendless"
but let's face it, I need someone that makes Rafal so tempted to smile and he's trying so hard not to.

Experimental Israel is an ongoing research project by Dr. Ophir Ilzetzki. In 2016, supported by Mifal Ha'Pais and the Israeli Center for Digital Art, Ilzetzki was commissionedย
by Daniel Meir and Halas Radio to create an original radiophonic study centred around contemporary Israeli music. As a composer identifying stylistically as experimental, Ilzetzki chose to focus on other Israeli artists who are, in some way, identified with experimentalism. In the two official years of research, Ilzetzki met weekly with prominent figures in the Israeli new music scene - composers, improvisers, sound and multi-media artists. With them, Ilzetzki ruminated in unofficial conversations regarding the main research questions. Yet, Ilzetzki prompted the artists not only to tackle the research questions via interviews, but also artistically; and so, Experimental Israel became one of the most extensive call for new works in Israeli music to date. ย
ย The main research questions are: How does experimentalism manifest in its artistic form, and specifically music; does the Israeli experimental practice differ from that practiced abroad, and is it possible to detect a distinct Israeli styleโ€ซ? Despite its conclusionsโ€ซ, the research does not attempt to suggest definite answersโ€ซ, but to place the opaque and widely used term in a clearer contextโ€ซ. Since the early 90sโ€ซ, a bustling new music scene is active in Israelโ€ซ, bringing together artists of different genres. Today, these same musicians have already taken their rightful place in the international music scene, making them a fertile ground for queries such as raised by this research. Accordingly, and seeing the research could serve musicians worldwide, Ilzetzki makes sure to summarise each of its interviews into a short article in English. Each article includes the main focal points of the interview, a chronological reconsideration of the fixed research questions, as well as a look at those added during the course of research. Seeing the Israeli experimental scene is constantly growing, and hence, in flux, this research does not, and truly cannot, have a definite conclusion. Therefore, even after its official course has ended, Ilzetzki continues to add new voices to the research archive, so as to expose and clarify the topic even further. In fact, in its inception, the research was introduced as ongoing, and it is our hope that future researchers will refer to it, and continue its course. Thus, at any given moment in time, the research will serve as an up-to-date 'screenโ€ซ-shot' of the constantly developing Israeli experimental scene. ย
ย Experimental Israel is broadcast live from Halas Audio. All interviews, alongside interview summaries, are available in this archive. The programs are also available for download on Spotify. All of the original compositions and musical contributions by the broadcast's guests are available for download on the FMA.
ย Experimental Israel was made possible due to the kind support of Mifal HaPais Council for the Culture and Arts, and the Israeli Center for Digital Art. ย

Press Release:
Through sustained reflection on aesthetics and politics, Sharif Waked (*1964, Nazareth; lives and works in Nazareth and Santa Barbara, California) has consistently pierced the absurdities of reality with playful and estranged encounters between various temporalities, cultural-historical products, and political events. On the occasion of his solo exhibition at CCA โ€“ Center for Contemporary Art Tel Aviv, the artist adopted the word Balagan, as its title. This word, which means chaos, disarray and confusion, originally comes from the Persian word โ€œbalchanโ€ and it traveled across borders to other languages such as Russian, Yiddish, Lithuanian and Hebrew. Following the artistโ€™s unique modus operandi โ€“ which is rooted in the conception of single artworks, often based on appropriated images, which are then โ€œincarnatedโ€ (and numerated) several times through different media, formats and techniques โ€“ the exhibition includes both existing and recent pieces, linking different bodies of Wakedโ€™s work over time.
Just A Moment No. 4 (Away From You) (2011), appropriates footage featuring the Egyptian singer Umm Kulthum, while she sings her iconic song Away From You, focusing on the stamping of her left foot just underneath the dress scraping her heal. While in Bath Time (2012) the artist restaged what would be the end of the day for the โ€œzebraโ€ โ€“ in fact a donkey disguised as a zebra โ€“ of the Zoo in Gaza, in Just A Moment No. 21 (Shit) (2018), outtakes of the aforementioned work shows its star performing the mainstays of everyday life: eating and shitting.
In Just A Moment No. 19 (Nimrod) (2018) Yitzhak Danzigerโ€™s iconic sculpture Nimrod meets the mosquito that in the Islamic narrative entered Nimrodโ€™s ear and made their way into his brain to drive him mad, while in Just A Moment No. 17 (Smiley) (2016) an army of contemporary emojis struggle to save their smiling ancestor from destruction. Who are you? (2014) are twelve abstract figures based on Muammar Gaddafiโ€™s outfits, titled after a fragment of the last speech of the late Libyan leader, in which he promised to hunt his opposition down to the last alley; in Tugra No. 5 (2013), the artist infiltrates Israeli soldiersโ€™ most common directive in Hebrew-inflected Arabic โ€“ โ€œrukh min hun!โ€ [Get out of here!] โ€“ inside the sixteenth century calligraphic monogram (tughra) of Suleiman the Magnificent.
Crop Marks (2016) sees the artistโ€™s self-portrait in an orange suit subjected to the print-houseโ€™s โ€œguillotine,โ€ cut at his neck and along the crop marks of printing and design conventions, whereas in MoM โ€“ Museum of Mosul (2017) the footage of ISISโ€™s destructive actions is reproduced as a promotional film for a now-rebranded museum. While in Contribute A Better Translation No. 1 (2011) an archive of slogans of the Palestinian struggle undergo mechanized translation against a backdrop of visual iconography, in Contribute A Better Translation No.ย 2 (2011) the Palestinian Declaration of Independence, written by Mahmoud Darwish, is transformed into Yiddish via Google Translate.
Just A Moment No. 15 (Pa-Pa-Pa) (2016) is based on the claim of Israeli criminologist and politician Anat Berko, who said there is no Palestine because there is no P in Arabic, and in Beace Brocess No. 5 (2012) a clip from the Camp David II 2000 peace talks is refracted into the era of silent film. In Just A Moment No. 5 (Jericho First) (2012), the Oslo Agreements of the 1990s meet a detail of a mosaic from the eighth century Umayyads Caliphate. Search (2016), exposes the questions haunting Google Israel, whereas in Jamal Al Mahamel (2016) the barefoot carrier lifting the weight of Jerusalem on his back depicted in Suleiman Mansourโ€™s eponymous work is absent and the city gives to gold dots.
Balagan is also the title of a work on display in the exhibition. It is part of the series Arabesqueย (2016-ongoing) and in it along with the series dot.txt (2016-ongoing) โ€“ Waked disassembles the building blocks of images to reconstruct what appear as geometric abstract surfaces. In these series, Waked questions the division between the visual and the verbal, perception and deception, the visual traditions of the past and the digital manipulations of the present, to deliver in a rather formalistic fashion the questioning, breaking, and remaking of meaning. Following these premises, the exhibition offers a birdโ€™s eye view of Wakedโ€™s art, surveying his work as a comprehensive whole.
โ€œSharif Waked: Balaganโ€ is curated by Nicola Trezzi and it is accompanied by a printed matter in Hebrew, Arabic and English. The exhibition is supported by Mifal HaPais Council for the Culture and Arts. Hospitality kindly provided by OUTSET.

This Fashion Collection Depicts the Staggering Rate of Urbanization
Approximately 10 million textiles are put in national landfills in the United States alone. Shenkar College graduate Dana Cohen has come up with a new way to make these discarded fabrics into new textiles. In Cohenโ€™s process, the used cloths are shredded into monochromatic fibers and then integrated with fresh new ones to create entirely unique, one-of-a-kind felted textiles.
Cohenโ€™s second collection, City Growth, uses images from NASA aerial photographs to depict the massive growth of cities in the past four decades. The collection was awarded the Mifal Hapais award, shown at Tel Aviv Fashion Week and Vietnam Fashion Week, and is now available online.
Other than designing new outfits, Cohen has also been asked to use her method to create artwork and wall tapestry for the Israel Museum, the Mingei Museum in San Diego, and the Tel Aviv Museum of Art.
