Countdown to Agatha: Darkhold Diaries: Day 630
Agatha: “Just do it!”
Y/N: “I’m NERVOUS”
Agatha: “It’s fine! Just. Do. IT.”
Wanda: “What’s happening?? It’s midnight.”
Wanda, seeing the damage: “You hypocrite”
Agatha: “I promise it’s not what it looks like!”
Wanda, looking at the hair trimmings on the floor and up to Agatha’s new, slightly uneven bangs: “I think it’s exactly what it looks like. And after you MOCKED me for almost cutting my own bangs when my sanity was crumbling in Westview?!…I don’t even know what to say”
Agatha: “I’m sorry!”
Wanda: “Don’t try and beg for forgiveness when your actions have already done all the talking necessary”
Y/N: “It’s HAIR! It’s gonna grow back.” *packing up their shit* “I swear - are we back in a sitcom in Westview?!” *slams the door* “Salem in HELLLLLL”

There use to be a Halloween carnival and it stopped around 10 years ago. It was lit during the early 2000s. They would have it up to 27-30. On the 30th, it would go until midnight to the 31st of October. There would be a huge countdown. It was so much fun. They would do different themes every year.
1999: It was a Renaissance Theme. I was so little. I am sure my dad carried most of the time lol.
2000: Alien / UFO Theme.
2001: Mummy / Pharaoh / Egypt Theme.
2002: Vampire Theme.
2003: Season of the Witch / Salem Witch Trials / Witch Theme.
2004: Frankinstein Theme.
2005: Werewolf Theme.
2006: Ghost Theme.
2007: Pirate Theme.
2008: Victorian Era Theme.
2009: Gibson Era Theme.
2010: 1920s Flapper Era.
2011: 1930s Retro Halloween.
2012: 1940s Retro Halloween.
2013: 1950s Retro Halloween.
The owners who ran the carnival died and their families never kept it going.
:(
That sucks
That all sounds super funny and carnival food probably went wild with the themes

Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake (PC 2002)
Story: 8/10
Characters: 8/10
Puzzles: 7/10
Chores: 7/10
Final Rating: 7/10
Fortunately Her Interactive was able to redeem themselves in my eyes after Secret of the Scarlet Hand. Toning down the book trivia heavy plot, but still presenting history in an engaging and interesting way. They also expanded the world they built for this game compared to the previous games by having bigger map. I might be slightly biased because of the ties to the mob and mob culture. Like Message in a Haunted Mansion, it tried to be spooky, but just enough that it wasn’t annoying. I’ve also played this one like 5 times and have never run into any sort of glitches. The story/plot was easy to flow through despite the expanded universe. This had less character involvement and it strangely worked for it. The chores were tedious but not as bad as Secret of the Scarlet Hand, and they created a more linear storyline.
Plot (spoilers obviously):
Thug Nan is visiting her friend um.. Sarah? I honestly don’t remember and I was playing this last night. I’m going to call her Scaredy McScaredy pants. Because by the time you get there b i t c h is G O N E. Some ghost dogs apparently scared her off, what a wuss.
After you arrive, a tree falls behind your car, so you’re technically “stuck” until you can find someone to remove the tree. Which is fine, you’re not a coward, but boy is this house falling apart. I can’t imagine why anyone would make such a poor investment. But okay I guess the same could be said about the mansion in Message in a Haunted Mansion.
When you call McScaredy she tells you that while you’re stuck there, you should do her chores for her, which is bullshit. Whatever Thug Nan wants to get a load of these “ghost dogs” that sound like a bunch of baloney.
Whatever, shortly after that phone call the house is “attacked” by “ghost dogs”, I’m sorry but I’m a skeptic. Even if I saw their glowing eyes with my own two non-glowing eyes, I will get to the bottom of this.
You immediately run into Red Knott, who is obvs your first suspect. He watches birds but only at night?(tempted to spongebob meme) And he hates everyone. If it were up to him the park would be axed and he would live among the birds as one of their own. Very suspicious, but we’ve got other suspects to meet.
He tells you to bug off and then morning you try to get on McScaredy pant’s boat only to find out that you need to borrow a spark plug from that same dood that told you to bug off. G R E A T. But because this is a Nancy Drew game, we already know that it’s going to come with a catch.
Red “Ivan Vanko” Knott wants pictures of birds. And even tho he’s perfectly fine doing this during the night, I gotta wait till the morning to do this, peachy.
In the morning I can boat places so I go meet:
Emily: Lady who runs Em’s Emporium, her store is filled with things that she stole found in the lake. She’s convinced there’s treasure in there, and hates that the lake is on park land because that means that she can’t be hustling.
Jeff Ackers: Park Ranger, that wants to make the park BIGGER, something something about being power hungry. He’s kind of a goody two shoes. He doesn’t like that your friend’s property was sold to her because that means he can’t be promoted or something.
RIGHT, I forgot to mention that the property used to be owned by Post Malone’s grandpa (tru fact), Mickey Malone, a tru american gangster who got convicted for tax evasion (remind u of anyone?). He had four dogs that he loved, and it’s allegedly them who are haunting the property.
Looking for the birds, you find his grave, and the grave of his 4 doggos. But for some reason two of the birdos hate you, and after talking to Ivan Vanko, he tells you that you gotta get some of that camo and be a nerd. Thug Nan only does it for the sake of the ghost doggos.
Except the bank of Thug Nan is running kinda low, you don’t actually have money. Emily makes you go bug hunting to pay for the camo. When you are finally able to snap a picture of the last bird, you discover that someone installed speakers on the house? Suspicious. But unfortunately you get knocked the eff out before you can investigate
When you wake up, someone has tied you up in the shed and SET U ON FIRE. W T F. I literally have zero leads but okay sure. When you look for the speakers, they’re gone, so we’re back to square one.
The convoluted puzzle in the living room finds you a super secret passageway into the basement. There’s nothing much down there except rats and a journal that reveals that Jeff Acker’s great great grandaddy was best friends forever with Mickey Malone.
When you confront him, he’s like what? Naa I ain’t got ties to the mob that would go against my goody two shoes vibe I’m trying to instill. Which reminds me, this b i t c h ticketed ME when I almost died, something about a fire hazard. Eventually he fesses up, and admits that his g-pa was in cahoots with Mickey Malone. Which is great because you need to get in contact with MM’s ex gf.
MM’s ex gf tells you about the speakeasy in Malone’s basement and how to get into it. You trade the picture you found of her for the key. You go a lurking… and find the said speakeasy, it’s smaller than we expected but I bet Malone gets that a lot (joking, don’t kill me).
After pulling a bunch of levers, you find another secret passage, all these puzzles are dog related and ngl I’m not hating it. MM’s ex gf hated these pouches, but shiiii girl I’ll take them all. You solve more dog puzzles and you find the doggos, you best know that Thug Nan gonna take every single one of these home with her. You find magic dog toothpaste that glows in the dark (they never explain the glowing eyes????)
Thug Nan is gonna unleash hell on whoever is keeping these precious babies in such a sketch place. You discover their journal, and it sounds like they’re looking for treasure. Which only Jeff and Em know about… Who are the only two real suspects let's be real.
One you’re in the vault, you find the gold, the moula, i soldi, el dinero, if you catch my drift. That’s when Em shows up all like “homie das MY gold” and is about to yeet Thug Nan down a ladder if you don’t get out of there. Fortunately you manage to trap her in there till the po-po can take care of her.
Once again the day is saved, thanks to Thug Nan legit carrying the entire investigation.
I think Jeff is promoted, and Sarah Scardy Pants gets to keep the doggos. THE END.

Hello fellow warriors 🖤 Today I want to give you some more information about Friday's #virtualdodfest shop drop, and what to expect from this amazing virtual festival run by @salemdaughtersofdarkness... so keep reading, because this is no normal shop update! •⚔️• 1. As you may have noticed, the countdown in my stories is set to end at midnight on Thursday - that's because there is no set time on Friday for the update. I will actually be updating my shop in small batches, throughout the day on Friday, April 3rd. I don't have a set schedule of when I'm releasing each item, so the best way to make sure you snag the piece you want is to turn on post and story notifications! 2. All of my new, ready-made, and experimental pieces will be posted to a new category in my shop, labeled "Virtual DOD Booth". For the duration of the festival (April 3-5), a percentage of all sales made from my virtual booth will go to @hawcnorthshore, a Salem based nonprofit dedicated to helping victims of domestic abuse. This organization works closely with @salemdaughtersofdarkness, so you will see many other Daughters of Darkness vendors donating to them as well. And that brings me to my last tip... 3. I encourage all of you to check out the WHOLE virtual festival. While you're waiting between shop drops on Friday, follow the hashtag #virtualdodfest to check out all of the other incredible vendors, and check out all of the virtual events that @salemdaughtersofdarkness will be hosting throughout the weekend! I know that many of you are feeling down from all of the Faire cancellations, so consider joining this one online. Spend the weekend being part of a wonderful community, from the safety of your home. I'll see you all there 🖤 •⚔️• Leather Dáinn headdress will be available April 3rd. Photography by @alexander.the.goodenough. Pendants by @thewickedgriffin and @lufolk. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-XZicEnGy5/?igshid=1dd7lan023rq9

holiday 2019
New Years Eve - December 31, 2014 - Salem, MA
“Enjoy your night, Ms. Warren. You deserve it. You’re truly a free woman now.” Mr. Carfigulo muttered on the other end of the line. “You’ve a lot of life ahead of you, and unlike many of the other parolees I’ve worked with, I don’t imagine I’ll be seeing you again. Happy New Year!” He paused, hearing paper being shuffled in the background before he quickly added, “Oh! And Happy Birthday!”
“Thank you Mr. Carfigulo. Happy New Year to you, too.” Shae admitted, pulling her cell phone away from her face and ending the call. She placed the device down on the coffee table, sighing softly as she reached for the remote and flicked on the television nestled in the corner of her small, one bedroom apartment.
She flipped through the stations before landing on Dick Clark’s New Years Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, smiling at the video of people bundled up, standing around the ball, and celebrating the holiday. For once, Shae was able to truly celebrate the holiday. She didn’t have a curfew tonight, didn’t have a “random” drug test tomorrow, and her co-workers constantly came to work hungover, and considering it was the eve of her twenty-first birthday, most were expecting her to call in sick for her shift tomorrow.
However, tonight was no different then any other ordinary night. Shae had absolutely no plans. Being forced to stay in a town, where everyone knew her, and knew about her past, made establishing friendships next to impossible. All she had were her clients and her co-workers at the salon, all of which had families of their own and established plans for months. Sure, those that knew her knew she was no harm, but their friends didn’t know that. So being invited along was just not plausible.
Shae jumped slightly as her ringer chimed, indicating a phone call, being pulled back to reality from her wandering thoughts. She reached for the phone, scrunching up her nose as the screen indicated a private caller. She slid her finger over the touchscreen to answer the call, hesitating slightly before speaking, “Hello?”
There is a slight pause before the pre-recorded message starts to play, “You have a call from an inmate at the Massachusetts Correctional Facility, if you wish to accept this call and the associated charges, please press pound. If you do not wish to accept this call, please hang up the phone. Thank you.”
Shae froze, all of the blood draining from her face, before she pulled the phone back and quickly hung up. She attempted to concentrate on the party being televised before her, but she knew he would try again. It was becoming a tradition.
Sure enough, the phone rang again and Shae listened to the pre-recording again before she pressed the pound key. She swallowed down the lump in her throat, bringing the phone back to her ear before she coldly spoke, “What do you want?”
And sure enough, there it was, the all too familiar chuckle of Daren Andrews, the sound sending a chill up her spin, her pale flesh raising with goosebumps as he spoke, “Oh, c’mon now, Shae. Aren’t you happy to hear from me?”
Shae’s heart was pounding, unsure how he managed to get her new cell phone number, again. She shook her head, even though she knew he couldn’t see her, clearing her throat before she spoke evenly, attempting to hide her nerves, “What do you want, Daren?”
Daren chuckled once again, tongue clicking against the roof of his mouth as he spoke once more, “Just wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday, as it very well may be your last one.” He paused, allowing silence to fill the line before he eventually broke it, “I have an appeal this year, and my lawyer is saying I have a good chance of getting off. Says if your record gets expunged, we may have a chance to fight it.”
Shae opened her mouth, ready to argue with him, but the line went dead. Was he telling her the truth? Would expunging her minor record be some fucked up loophole that could get him out? Allow him to terrorize her life more than he already was? Or was this just some ruse to get her to further ruin her life, and keep a permanent record of her past indiscretions with him?
She quickly pushed herself off the couch and moved to her bedroom, retrieving her laptop from the bed and returning the couch, vigorously searching the Internet for answers to all of her questions. She quickly got pulled into the Google rabbit hole, reading every legal document and judge hearing she could. Before she knew it, the countdown was happening, and as she looked up from her computer screen, she released a soft sigh as the confetti burst from the ball and the clock turned to midnight.
Shae closed her laptop and placed it on the coffee table, pushing herself off of the couch and moving towards the door, slipping her feet into her shoes and grabbing her keys before bundling up and exiting her apartment. She made her way to the twenty four hour gas station down the block, entering the store and grabbing a bottle off wine off of the shelf.
If this was going to be her last year, then she might as well enjoy it. After all, she was a free woman, better live it up before dealing with this Daren bullshit in the morning.

Their Reaction to an Unexpected New Year’s Kiss (Fantastic Beasts)
(Post by Mod T)
Newt Scamander
Newt was in New York for the New Year and you weren’t going to miss out. You met him at the dock and walked with him through the streets, to Queenie and Tina’s apartment. Somehow, you got passed the landlady and into their apartment in time for the bustling party. You didn’t understand how the sister’s managed to get so many people inside without getting trouble, but you weren’t going to comment. As long as it remained quiet enough, you figured there was nothing to worry about.
Newt proved to not be the social, partygoer, which really wasn’t a surprise. The two of you mainly stuck to the side of the party, talking about the differences in traditions between England and the US. There weren’t many differences, but it was still something fun to talk about to see what was different. “There’s one thing I know is the same,” you stated as the countdown began. As soon as the cheering started and the cries of “Happy New Year” resounded, you leaned forward and gave Newt a quick kiss. He stared for a moment before looking away, a blush on his cheeks. He nodded slightly.
“That… that is the same…” he muttered, smiling just a tad.
Jacob Kowalski
You were a little disappointed that Jacob was caught up in his bakery. You were hoping he could go to your New Year’s Eve party. Sure, the MACUSA didn’t want anyone mingling with the No-Majs and all that, but that was why you were having a No-Maj friendly New Year’s Eve party. Most of them were actually pretty open-minded. It was no longer the days of the Salem Witch Trials, after all, despite what the New Salemers wanted anyway.
It didn’t matter much, though. No one caught you and if they did, you could always testify to the fact that you never use anything magical in front of them. It was really easy. The evening was still early currently and you were working on getting everything you needed for the party, that included some nice sweets from a local bakery. Jacob had no idea you had been planning this visit ever since he stated he would be backed up with orders. You slipped inside practically unnoticed amongst the crowd and waited in line. Once he caught sight of you at the counter, his smiled largely and his eyes twinkled. He didn’t have much time to talk, but you gave him your order. Once it was done, you leaned forward and gave him a quick peck on the lips. You pulled back with a small wink and a grin as he just stared at you, his lips spread apart in a grin. “Happy New Year,” you said before walking out.
Queenie Goldstein
You were one of the first to arrive at Queenie’s party. It only seemed appropriate to help set up, all things considered. You also brought some sweet treats to help contribute, not that you figured Queenie would need any assistance. She was grateful, though, before shooing you into a room with Tina and a few others so she could finish her final touches. The party steadily grew, with most partygoers using clever ways to get into the apartment. It was nothing too large, considering it was still just an apartment, but it was a decent size.
You didn’t get to see Queenie too much. She was, after all, the hostess and it was only polite that she make her rounds and make sure she talked to everyone. You weren’t worried though, you already had a plan for the New Year countdown and you hunted her down as the last minute began to countdown. The whole room began to ring out with the final countdown. Once the midnight bell struck, you turned to Queenie and gave her a kiss, which she returned without hesitation. Despite the countdown, she didn’t get distracted from your thoughts.
Tina Goldstein
You were excited for Queenie’s party, if for no other reason than to see Tina. You didn’t figure she would partake in too much of the party going, but it was always fun to tease her. Besides, her landlady only cared about men, right? Either way, you knew there were going to be plenty of people at the party and plenty of opportunities to give her a hard time. And Queenie was more than happy to contribute.
You made sure to get people riled up and Queenie made sure to announce new food or see who needed a refill of drink. Tina kept shushing you and trying to keep everyone quiet. She followed you around, either giving you one of her looks or trying to lecture you about keeping things quiet. Eventually, she cornered you and you couldn’t help but tease her for how she was always getting in trouble. She started lecturing about how it wasn’t her fault and it was people like you and how she let you get her in trouble. You grinned as the countdown started and she seemed oblivious to it. At midnight, you kissed her, effectively getting her to stop talking. You pulled back and she stared at you, a flush on her cheeks as she tried to regain her train of thought.
Percival Graves
Somehow, you got suckered into working late rather than being allowed to go to any of the New Year’s Eve parties. By the time your shift was over, it was already the New Year. You stepped outside just in time to hear the end of the festivities, causing you to sigh rather harsh in the back of your throat. You decided you were going to somehow get payback on Graves, though you couldn’t swear he didn’t lock himself in his office all night. Just was you were wondering this, you happened to see the man walking down the street.
“Off already?” he asked. You stared at him a moment, wondering if it was some sort of dry humor or if he was serious. He chuckled a little and glanced around, pushing his hands into his pockets. “Don’t look so upset,” he responded. You paused before grinning slightly, seeing your chance to one-up the man, and in a rather enjoyable way as well. Without saying a word, you moved closer, leaned in, and kissed him. You held it just long enough to ensure he didn’t gain his senses before you pulled back and walked passed him, not noticing the intrigued look on his face as he watched you walk away.
Seraphina Picquery
Madam Picquery was busy at work in her office and you knew it. You had already spoken to Graves and he confirmed she planned to stay in the office. You weren’t sure if she just wasn’t the festive type or if there was something pressing she had to worry about currently. Either way, you decided there were no excuses for hiding away in an office on the eve of New Year’s so you were going to go give her a distraction.
You packed up a picnic basket of sweets and champagne and headed back to the building. Making your way through the doors and to her office, you knocked several times before she finally responded and told you that you could come. She gave you a stern look, clearly not happy you were pestering her and asked what was so pressing. “It’s New Year’s Eve,” you stated. She still didn’t look impressed. Despite knowing she was going to try objecting, you laid everything out from the picnic basket. She let out a sigh, as if knowing she was going to have no way around this, and stood up from her desk. With a grin, you waited for her to walk around before leaning in and giving her a kiss. She hesitated from surprise before, very briefly, returning it and breaking it, changing the subject to the goodies you brought.
Credence Barebone
You were surprised to find the New Salemers were having a New Year’s Eve party. The MACUSA didn’t like anyone to go near them, for obvious reasons, but you were curious to see what it was like. Not to mention, you still liked to look out for Credence and this was the perfect opportunity to ensure nothing foul was afoot with that mother of his. So, you decided to take up their invitation and go to it, knowing full well there was going to be plenty of anti-wizard sentiment there.
Of course, it was a lure for their anti-wizard sentiment. Credence’s mother made her speech and you tried hard not to roll your eyes. The attendance was sparse, and you thought about slipping out and heading to a better party, like the one at Queenie and Tina’s. Then you saw Credence, standing in a corner after the speech and sticking to himself. There was something rather adorable about how uncomfortable the whole party made him, so you made your way over. You tried to make it seem as if you didn’t know him, in fear that his mother would do something crazy. Credence seemed almost too scared to talk, so you decided to try something else. After making sure the cost was clear, you leaned in and gave him a quick peck on the lips. “Happy New Year,” you added. His eyes widened and his cheeks turned red. It looked like he wanted to say something, but no words could come out.

The Haunted Carousel (PC 2003)
Story: 8/10
Characters: 9/10
Puzzles: 8/10
Chores:8/10
Final Rating: 8/10
This is another game I always come back to because I can get through it within a couple of hours. The setting is so fun and it was well executed, a haunted amusement park that didn’t try too hard to be scary. They world wasn’t as big as Ghost Dogs, but it worked really well in my opinion and the characters are some of the more memorable ones in the series. The history they tied into the game was interesting and unique. The puzzles (i.e. the arcade games you have to play to move the plot forward) aren’t too difficult or annoying like some of the later games (looking at you at Trail of the Twister).
Plot (spoilers obviously)
Thug Nan is back at it again with the sleuthin, Paula Santos, is a friend of your fathers and owns an amusement park, how fun! Except there’s a whack ghost carousel that be a haunting. Thug Nan ain’t about that supernatural bs tho, and neither is Paula so we best be investigating.
The carousel isn’t the biggest problem on the table, it’s the rollercoaster that stopped mid-ride and gots the park shut down. Paula is being sued and that’s not cool.
You get straight to work and meet:
Harlan Bishop: It takes a thug to spot a thug, I don’t buy his “I’m just a security” story. Brother has done time. I know it and he knows it. He’s the current park security, extremely eager to help out and extremely Brooklyn, many much Brooklyn. He even took a pay cut to work at the park. He hooked a homie up with a fun pass to the arcade, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t have my eye on him.
Joy Trent: My precious Joy, I have clear bias when it comes to this child. She could do no harm. Everyone describes her as boring but I love her. She’s the park’s bookkeeper, she only got the job because her dad, Daryl Trent used to own the park with Paula. He wasn’t the greatest with money however, and died broke af. My wonderful Joy obvs has all kind of childhood trauma but shh es okay, we can work it out together.
Paula: Daryl Trent was p bad with money
Also Paula: *hires his daughter as a bookkeeper*
Ingrid: She’s the chief engineer who hustles essential oils on the side. I don’t understand how a woman of science can buy into the “curse” shizz, but whatever. She reads auras and pawns off all her actual engineer work on me. Can’t say I’m crazy about her. She blames the curse on the person who stole a super vintage horse from the carousel.
Elliot Chen: Homeboy gives a bad name to us artsy types. He’s the park’s art director. He procrastinates a ton and never meets his deadlines, which yes that is me but R O O D of you to assume. The park being shut down is awfully convenient for him.
Tink: He operates the Carousel normally, but rn he’s on vacation in Canada, which you would think would be more suspicious, but no one questions it.
Whilst investigating you discover:
that the person who built the stolen horse (Rolf Kessler) was super famous and his horses are considered priceless or something
during a previous heist from the hotel next to the park, the thieves involved stashed moula all over the park.
the horse that was stolen was a replica, so jokes on whoever stole it.
Rolf Kessler was an artist and by default filled with angst and many much suffering. His waifu died of TB and he disappeared off the grid shortly thereafter.
During all this, you get in touch with Detective Perris, who was the original detective in charge of the hotel heist. It was partially unsolved and he gives you some dirt on one of the peeps that was arrested for the crime. He died in prison, but his cellmate was from brookyln… SUSPICIOUS
Naturally, this means we gotsa snoop on Mr. Bishop. HOME BOY HAS AN APPOINTMENT WITH HIS PAROLE OFFICER, BRUH DID I CALL IT OR WHAT? It’s okay Harlan, Thug Nan has also done time in Alibi in Ashes, cos we ball hard.
More important than this new information, is my girl Joy. We are going on a journey to rediscover her childhood. And I can’t think of a more romantic wholesome way of getting to know each other. We do this with the help of Miles the Magnificent Memory Machine, which is a robot/toaster oven that Joy’s dad built her (I think I forgot to mention that her dad was an ‘inventor’), whose sole purpose is to remember things for Joy, because the passing of her mom was so traumatic that she blocked everything from her childhood behind a wall of extreme blandness.
This. is. Perfect. The fanfiction is writing itself. Thug Nan also lost her mom as a child and now they’re connecting. What was I supposed to be doing again?
Oh right! Our love will have to wait Joy, I gots a mystery to solve.
While you’re helping Joy recover her memories you also learn:
Mr. Bishop has been spying on Ingrid, but this helps you break into Ingrid’s office.
Ingrid is ballin, like more than engineer money balling. It’s also implied that she’s in cahoots with the guy suing the park.
Elliot is buying a lot of wood for no apparent reason, and horse tails, like if he were building a carousel kinda deal. Weird yes?
Anyway Thug Nan is really prioritizing this Joy soul searching project. But then… B E T R A Y A L. Joy confesses to having stopped the rollercoaster that caused the park to shut down. How could she? How could she do this to us? She says she had a lot of pent up resentment after the death of her father and thought Paula didn’t deserve his half of the park. I will be the first to admit that this girl has baggage, but I STILL BELIEVE. We will get thru it.
We still don’t know who is responsible for the ghost carousel. We also accuse Ingrid of being in cahoots with the guy suing the park, and she’s not lying to us but I still don’t like her. Allegedly her monies is coming from her “designing a roller coaster”, likely story.
WHATEVER, I’m gonna finish the epic side quest of figuring out Joy’s backstory and making her love me. I honestly don’t know why we’re still at the park, I think Paula only cared about the roller coaster bit? I’m just saying that a carousel that turns on at night ain’t harming anyone. If anything she’s getting major publicity.
We find out that Joy’s mom bought her a horse off the carousel for her birthday (I feel like that defeats the purpose of the horse but aight), AND SHE DIED THAT SAME DAY. Holy cow that’s harsh. We’re able to track down the location of the horse, which conveniently has the jewels from the hotel heist years ago, and a picture of Joy’s mom. Let’s just say that homie can get it too.
Incidentally, we stumble into Rolf Kessler’s workshop in the midst of this. We totally solved this mystery on accident, cool. But yeah we find the horse that was stolen (yeah, did I forget to mention that it was a different horse, I also had a hard time keeping track of the horses) and discover that someone has been making replicas and selling them on the black market. They’re been using the hype from the “hauntings” to up the value.
The game tries to be sneaky by not dropping names here, but we all know who it be behind this…. Elliot. Naturally, in classic Nancy Drew fashion, he tries to murder(?) us, but we best him and the day is saved by Thug Nan, once again. Joy call me.
THE END.
