Fragments
~*~*~*~
A/N: and this one is for @im-actually-a-superhero, who prompted Morrigan + bright. i stg the prompt was in there at some point, but it ended up on the cutting room floor.
~*~*~*~
Her first mirror is short-lived, as all things are in the Wilds: one misstep and it's in Mother's hands, and from there it's shattered on the ground. It's a hard lesson, but one she learns well.
Her second is a gift, or so the Warden says, and she waits and waits for the catch until she realizes there is none: the gift is genuine, the Warden sincere.
It's a silly, childish notion, but even as she chides herself for it she makes sure the mirror is always safely packaged, tucked into a folded cloth to keep it safe from harm.

microfic prompt: Sigrun, stargazing
The Skies Above
~*~*~*~
For weeks after they crawl out of Kal'Hirol, Sigrun doesn’t even know what night looks like.
Once she finds out, she can’t stop staring.
The day sky still feels like the end of the world to her, empty, save for ever-changing clouds, but the night isn’t so bad. The stars are everywhere and they’re not moving around, and that makes it easier to believe there truly is something overhead, despite all evidence to the contrary.
So she spends her nights on the battlements, mapping out every corner of the sky until even the day doesn’t seem quite so empty anymore.

Ooohhh, one word prompt? "Fear" for your Trevelyan???
~*~*~*~
Fear is a familiar enemy, one Bronte has been fighting for months, years, decades – ever since the day she woke up to a frost-covered room and Adara’s muted sobs.
Over the years she’s learned to work through it, but that’s not so easy to do here, at the heart of its realm, with the demon’s taunts ringing in her ears and its minions crawling all around them.
Spiders, Hawke calls them. Fearlings, Solas calls them. But they all look like Tranquil to her. She tells herself they’re nothing like her sister, but the lie tastes like bile on her tongue.
