Although spending money was far from his favorite hobbies these days, considering most of it happened to be scraps from his last salary and Laykenâs hard earned efforts. If he could decide he would spend most of his days at home, saving both energy and economy until the situation ran dire -- he had technically already done that once so it wasnât all around new for him. But it was a little harder to shut out people and society as a whole when you lived with two kids and a girlfriend who didnât wish for him to fall as far down as she once had herself. Thus, after Layken had arrived back home from work, had he sat out to grow a tad more comfortable with his surroundings and neighbors.Â
It was still chilly, even if not as chilly as he was used to, but still chilly enough to force him to enter a cafĂ© on the way down the main road. His eyes had scanned over the sign pretty swiftly, but caught up on the word âorganicâ, whatever that was supposed to mean. A small coffee and a tart later, Simon found himself moving to the back of the room where most of the magazines seemed to linger. He had, at most removed his jacket before he had sat out to find todayâs newspaper, but just as his eyes were on the way over, a familiar sight made him stop in his tracks. Was that..? No... or, was it? He hadnât seen the man in years, but clear memories of him and his family passing by filled him with a sudden hesitation as he wondered whether he should turn back or call for attention. His head eventually set for the latter. âMichael? Holy -- hello? Itâs, uh, me -- Simon. Remember? From Montreal?âÂ

So far so good. :) How are you? Howâs Owen?
Iâm pretty good, too. I found the perfect paint for the interior of the second beach hut and the bed and kitchen appliances are on their way. Everythingâs right on schedule, which is a big relief since that June 1st deadline I set for myself is getting closer all the time. Owenâs having a pretty good day, too. We tried a little sit up time today with his legs in a V like the Internet recommended, and it really did make a difference. He was able to balance upright for almost half a minute before he toppled over onto the pillow beside him!Â
