Red vs Blue x Shy!Fem!Reader
╰┈➤ So there's basically like no content lately for my funky lil space marines.... I'd like to change that.
I'll still be writing my Batfam stuff too but I do want to add a bit to the RvB x Reader side of Tumblr.
I'm also not sure how often I'll post for RvB content (or any in general but I really want to get into imagines/headcanon writing yk?)
But here's my first shot at a RvB x Reader ig? In headcanon format.
Here's how I'd like to imagine a more soft/shy!reader in the canyon, I'm writing as a fem!reader because it's what I'm more comfortable with. [also I'm a sucker for more soft/shy inserts, sue me LOL]
-Reader is seen as a baker, gamer (you can choose table top games or video games), etc to have a bit of variety in interactions. I'd imagine you can fight to a degree like everyone else but social interactions aren't your strong suit.
✧ ▬▭▬ ▬▭▬ ✦✧✦ ▬▭▬ ▬▭▬ ✧
So, you ended up in the shitty canyon of Blood Gulch. In training you weren't known for any outstanding leadership or other skills when it comes to fighting so you were sent here.
To top it all off you're the only female in the canyon... that is until Tex shows up.
Imagine being on Blue Team, I'd like to think Church tolerates you a bit more than the others for being "less annoying" in his words.
Tucker absolutely loves to tease the shit out of you, he'll absolutely try to "woo" you since you've been the only girl he's seen since he's got here.
I think after a while he'd probably stop "wooing" you knowing you showed no interest, but would still tease you.
When Caboose comes around, he would probably follow you around like a lost puppy since you're the only one who is nice to him at the time.
You'd probably have baking days if you had anything good sent in from Command.
•• ━━━━ ••●•• ━━━━ ••
I'd imagine when Tex comes in she enjoys your company a bit more than the others, both being girls... and you're less loud and more tolerable. If she's fixing up Sheila (the tank) she might have you there to help hand over tools and such.
You and Doc might bond being the more quiet ones in the canyon... you might hand him over some baked goods when he would be around, whether they were made by you or one of your teammates (the most likely other one would be Caboose, I'd like to imagine he at least knows how to make a small variety of cookies like chocolate chips, sugar cookies, maybe those peanut butter cookies?) He'd probably try to get O'Malley/Omega to spare you in his plans lol
Oh boy when Donut joins the reds, be prepared for you guys have sleepovers with him and Caboose and let's be real he'd probably drag Doc in (especially in the later seasons).
Being one of the more shy people in the canyon, each of the people might try to get you to be included in the chaos one way or another.
When you get to Chorus, you're probably with Tucker, Caboose, Simmons and Grif. If Felix feels flirty, you probably get dragged off the most by Tucker or Caboose since they notice your cues the most, maybe Grif if he happens to be around (he'd just invite you to raid the mess hall which you'd only accept to get away from the flirting). Caboose might try to take up most of your time as possible unless you're split off for missions.
Wash and Carolina try their best to train you, without scaring you off. Initially you were scared of them when they first showed up, you pretty much have scary guard dog privileges now.
Sarge might try to do a typical over-the-top plan with the reds to support you in some situations if you happen to team up with them against a mutual enemy like the Meta. (might be more post-Wyoming/Prophecy "arc" maybe like s6/Reconstruction)
Although when you're enemies you definitely feel like you could shrink into your armor when you hear his loud booming voice, but since you're there to fight you still stay and fight, you just won't be as involved as Tucker and Church when negotiating, sometimes you pull them away if you have an idea and have one of them shout it for you
You, Grif and Simmons might have chill movie/game nights when you can. (if those are even possible??) You might try to sneak in to the red base but Sarge might let you pass anyways since you keep Donut out of his hair often.
maybe pt 2 later? lmk what you think! (idk how to write for shy!reader well but hopefully i'll improve soon..)

Description: ok i probably wont actually have 20, but my first req: wash x reader (could be during or post freelancer) where they're trying to hide their relationship, but failing miserably
Notes: This entry was recovered as an early draft of the previous entry found here.
Word count: 843
Back to directory
Agent Washington— or Church, as Caboose keeps calling him— is a man of mystery. He is a strong, brave ex-freelancer on the path to redemption. He is the new blue team leader, and a pain in the red’s side. There is no denying, in Tucker’s begrudgened words, that he is fucking awesome. I bet he gets so many ladies, the self proclaimed sword wielding badass had grumbled as he sat in captivity at red base.
One of the red’s few wins since Church’s demise on Sidewinder.
Not that it mattered, Wash single handedly recaptured the man; before being informed that he needed to negotiate the prisoners return and was not, in fact, allowed to just steal him back. That’s what makes it fun, Simmons insisted.
Wash’s ensuing confusion, his brow furrowed and mouth opening and closing as he tried to find words, was the least composed the reds and blues had seen him. In Y/N’s opinion, sitting on the edge of the blue Vallhala base and watching the impromptu truce, it was adorable.
“But… that’s not how war works,” Wash said, voice strained in confusion.
Simmons and Tucker face palmed.
“Ya, but- You know what, it doesn’t matter,” Simmons huffed. “Let’s make a deal, you can steal back captured team mates, if Y/N joins our team.”
“Wait, what? When did I become part of this?”
“Well if Mr. Ex-Freelancer here gets to steal back blues, we need someone to help us take back our guys from them!”
“Sería bueno tener alguien con quien hablar,” Lopez said. (It would be nice to have someone to talk to)
“Lopez is right!” Sarge nodded.
“Oh, esto va a terminar mal.” (Oh, this is going to end poorly)
“We can’t take Y/N-”
“Eso no es lo que dije.” (That is not what I said)
“Because if we did, the blues would be at a disadvantage!”
“You know what,” Wash sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose.
Sarge ignored him, continuing on, “But maybe… we could use her as bait to capture Washington! You know, it’s like those fairytales-”
“I love fairytales!” Donut cheered.
“The knight in shining armor,” Y/N raised a brow and smirked as Sarge stiffened in fear, though he clearly wasn’t deterred as he continued, “saves the princess from the tower!”
Caboose gasped, “Are we playing make believe? I love playing mak-”
“Okay, everyone shut up! I’m sorry for ruining your ga-war. I will no longer steal back team members, now can we please end this conversation?”
“Jeez, what’s got you so cranky? Y/N not suck your dick this morning?”
“Lavernius!” Y/N scolded.
Agent Washington was a man of mystery, a complete badass, and Tucker had never seen the man so flustered before. He was even redder than when he’d switched armor in the freezing cold of Sidewinder; and Sarge had made a few cracks that he should join the red team.
“I-Wha-wha- That was completely inappropriate!” Wash spluttered. “I-I’m going for a walk.”
He pulled his helmet out from the crook of his arm and yanked it over his head, letting out a faint ow as the force hit him, and starting marching off towards the wall.
None too quietly, Grif announced that everyone should steer clear of that direction for the next few hours.
Wash had just settled against the wall as Y/N approached, splitting off from the reds on the way back to their base. She was out of armor, finding it more comfortable as she healed from her Meta inflicted injuries, letting Wash admire her fond smile. He’d noticed that she smiled more often now…
“When Caboose told me about you,” he started as she came to lean against the wall beside him, “I wasn’t sure what to think. The woman he told me about, Y/N, she didn’t sound like the Agent Michigan I knew.”
He unclipped his helmet and set it down, resting his cheek on his knees as he looked up at her.
“Ya… I guess they kind of rubbed off on me. You probably felt the same way I felt watching you and the Meta work to-” A red spot on the side of Wash’s head caught Y/N’s eye. “Wash move!”
Without hesitation, Wash dropped to his side and rolled away from the wall as a shot went off. Y/N dove into a forward roll, grunting in pain before scrambling behind Wash as he got to his feet.
The reds and blues had come out of their bases by now, looking round for where the shot had come from.
“Well… it’s good to see some things don’t change,” Carolina teased as her camo deactivated and her armor stood out against the gray rocks.
Y/N peaked over Wash’s shoulder as the reds and blues came running over, guns drawn and yelling.
“Carolina?” The two ex-freelancers asked.
She crouched down, paying no mind to the reds and blues that were left discussing amongst themselves.
“I hate to interrupt your honeymoon, but I need your help to find the director.”

Church x Blue!reader x Tucker (Love triangle on Blue team)
Fandom: Red Vs Blue
Request: Tucker x reader x Church #99 3rd person:Tucker and Church subtly fight(not physically) for the reader. And also because I KNOW that that’s a quote from the show
Genre: Fluff
Linktree
The Canyon seemed hotter than normal on this particular day and of course, (y/n)’s built-in air conditioning in their suit broke which meant that they had to take other measures to cool off.
With little effort, (y/n) popped off their helmet to gain some fresh air into their system. And of course, that was the moment when Church walked out of the blue base to see (y/n) stripping themself of their armor.
Church and Tucker’s conversation could be heard just around the corner, “--I’m just saying, what’s the point of a tank if you can’t pick up chicks.” Church found himself questioning all of his life choices until this moment to find himself in a debate with Tucker about picking up girls.
“Tucker, for the last time, You can’t pick up chicks in a tank. Besides, what chicks are you going to pick up? There's no one here but us and the reds,” Church argued.
Tucker was silent for a moment before he lifted his head to speak again, but didn’t get the chance to as Church has already left the vicinity to avoid continuing this stupid conversation.
But upon leaving, Church had stumbled upon (y/n) stripping themself of their armor just outside the base.
“Jesus, what the hell are you doing, Rookie?” Church asked, utterly confused at the scene before him. (y/n) could only roll their eyes at the nickname while they continued with taking every piece of armor off of their body. Church had called them rookie for years now, he said it was because nobody new had shown up yet.
"I'm taking my armor off because it's too damn hot and the cooling system inside my suit is broken. Are you gonna help me or not?" (y/n) asked.
Church glanced around the base for a few moments before he stepped forward to help. Of course, it was at that moment Tucker decided to pop out from where he was hiding, still in his debate about tanks and girls.
"Whoa! Are we stripping now? 'Cause I-" Before Tucker could continue his obscene statement about stripping and no doubt, sex, Church interrupted him with a harsh glare and continued helping (y/n) with getting the heavy armor off.
“Tucker, just, shut up,” Church grumbled.
As the last piece of armor finally fell off, (Y/n) let out a loud sigh of relief and stretched, happy to be free of the confining armor.
It was no secret that Church and Tucker harbored romantic feelings for their fellow blue, and since finding out each other’s secret on the same person, they had been subtly fighting for their affection and attention.
(Y/n) brushed past the two fighting blues and headed into the base to find Caboose waiting for them patiently on the couch. They were the only one who he listened to.
“Mx (y/n)! Mx (y/n)! Can we make cookies and cuddle?” Caboose asked.
(y/n)’s face melted into a soft smile for Caboose, they had always held a soft spot for him. He was the first one to be nice to them when they first showed up on the base.
“Of course, Caboose,” (y/n) said As they headed into the kitchen to start baking for the third time that week, Tucker and Church quickly followed, they had a few questions for their potential love interest.
“Wait, wait, wait… You let Caboose call you by your first name and cuddle?” Tucker asked.
Neither Church nor Tucker looked pleased with the situation. They had a few questions for (y/n) and seeing them out of their armor and baking wasn’t going to distract them.
Most likely.
It was going to distract Tucker at the very least.
Tucker glanced at Church with a particular look as (y/n) put their hair back up, showing off the nape of their neck. Church already knew that it was going to be more difficult than normal to speak with them looking like that.
“Why does it bother you two? Did either of you want to cuddle with me or call me by my first name? … or to be called by your given name?" (y/n) asked, teasing the two.
Church brushed off the completely true accusation, crossing his arms over his chest in a defensive manner.
“No--” But, before he could say much, Tucker interrupted to say the exact opposite.
“Yes, Oh my god. Baby, please,” Tucker pleaded. Church watched with an unamused look as Tucker walked behind (y/n) and placed his arms around them, lips only millimeters from their neck. “I would love it if you called me by my first name, please?”
Church rolled his eyes at the interaction but didn’t move from his spot. He wanted to be that close to (y/n) as well, but it seemed as if the three of them were stuck in a love triangle.
“Lavernius~” (y/n) teased his name, whispering it.
Tucker felt his heart melt at the sound of the person he was interested in calling him by his first name. Their voice seemed to purr out the name, his lips finally met the nape of her neck which brought endless shivers down their spine as they started to bake.
Church finally had enough of this and grabbed Tucker by the back of his armor and dragged him out of the kitchen telling him to watch Caboose. Tucker didn’t want to of course but after his encounter with (y/n), he was satisfied for now.
Church scratched the back of his neck after popping off his helmet, entering the kitchen once more to talk to (y/n) one-on-one. It was always easier that way, just the two of them.
It was probably why he always asked them for the company on morning patrols.
“Do you need any help?” (y/n) almost jumped at the sound of Church’s voice but slowly settled back into the speed of baking at a leisurely pace as Church hesitantly stepped into the kitchen, wanting to help (y/n) but not knowing what they needed or if they even wanted him in the kitchen.
"I forgot to grab the chocolate chips so if you'd grab that for me, it'd be a big help," (y/n) mentioned.
Church scanned the room for a few seconds before he found the item in the cabinet above (y/n)'s head. Church bit on the inside of his cheek nervously before he pressed his body against (y/n)'s. He couldn’t feel anything, but God, did he wish he didn't have his armor on at the moment.
Slowly, Church set down the bag before backing away from (y/n)'s body hesitantly.
“… So what are the plans for the evening?” Church hesitantly asked.
Usually, Church would have left by now to retreat to his room and ponder over his feelings for a fellow blue and how he came to like the same person as Tucker of all people. But he didn’t.
Church genuinely wanted to spend time with (y/n) at the very least.
(y/n) finally popped the cookies into the oven before they turned to look at Church but paused to look at his face. It wasn’t every day that they got to see him without his helmet on.
The stare (y/n) was sporting caused Church to shift uncomfortably in his spot. He usually didn’t like to take his helmet off unless he was in his room alone, or with (y/n) of course, but it had been quite a while since he had done so again.
"W-why are you staring at me like that?" Church managed to blurt the sentence out as he rubbed the back of his neck out of nervousness. But being around (y/n) always made him nervous. Just being in the same room as them made him feel like a teenager again with the butterflies exploding in his stomach and his face blooming when they gave him that smile like he had done the most amazing thing for them, even if it was only something small in actuality.
“Sorry, It’s just been awhile since i’ve seen your face… You’re pretty,” (y/n) explained to him, snapping themself out of their staring.
Church didn’t know what he was expecting after a long staring contest with (Y/n) but it wasn’t them calling him pretty. But he wasn’t going to argue with them. (y/n) walked up to Church they before gently pressed a kiss to the side of his face, they gave him a smile that made him feel all too soft inside. And before Church could return with a kiss to their lips, they stepped into the living room with Caboose and Tucker.
Church let his eyes follow (y/n) into the living room and situate themself next to Tucker, sliding their hand into his with ease.
Church didn’t understand what was going on, but he did know that he liked (y/n) and Tucker liked (y/n) and (y/n) liked both of them.
But for now, that was okay.

Gone
A/N: So I saw a video on my dash on tumblr that led to feels that somehow led to this? I know it’s canon, but I’m so sorry for hurting the baby.
Pairing: Caboose x Short!Reader
Warnings: Angst-ish, hurt/comfort, big spoilers for season 15, particularly episode 16 “Grif Does A Rescue” in particular, sad Caboose (I’m sorry.)
Words: 211
A/N: I headcanon that Caboose is a girl, so that’s how I write her.
As soon as Temple’s footsteps faded, Tucker turned to Caboose.
“I’m sorry, Caboose,” He said.
Caboose was still looking down. “Gone, gone,” She muttered quietly. “... like Simmons said on scary planet?”
“Yes.”
“Forever.” Caboose’s voice was full of pain and it broke your heart. You grabbed her hand and squeezed it in what you hoped was a comforting gesture.
“Forever,” Tucker confirmed.
“But-” She started to say, but Tucker cut her off.
“Sorry, Caboose. Not this time.” His voice was quiet and sincere.
“But-but-” She finally looked up, and the tears in her eyes started to fall. “I never got to say goodbye… or thank you for being my friend.”
If you weren’t ready to kill Temple before, you were now. “Caboose, sweetie,” You murmured, squeezing her hand again. “He knows, boo. He knows.”
More tears fell and she tugged your hand carefully. You let her pull you into her a hug, wrapping your arms around her as your feet left the ground when she straightened. She buried her face in the crook of your neck and her body shuddered with an unshed sob.
As you rubbed Caboose’s back, Tucker said what you were all thinking. “They’ll pay for this. I promise, I’ll make them pay.”
“We all will,” Grif added.

HC: Relationship with a shy! S/o
Characters: Lopez & Caboose
Rating: General.
Word count: 205 words
Warning/s: None
Lopez
Most of the times you don’t know what he is saying.
It always makes you nervous to speak to him even if you can’t have a proper conversation due to the language barrier.
Besides. He seems to understand English, what if you made a fool of yourself?
After your relationship grew into something else you started to understand Spanish a little better than you used to do before.
You can’t understand how a monotonous, robotic voice can leave you speechless and flustered.
You are not precisely a social butterfly, and he isn’t either so even sitting in silence is pleasant for both of you.
Caboose
He likes to make you feel comfortable and loved, which leaves you wondering if he notices how flushed you end up being after you are with him.
If he could, he’d scream out to the world the love he feels for you.
He gives a lot of PDA, which always leaves your face red as people stares.
Even his sweet compliments make your heart jump even if you have been a couple for a very long time.
At the end of the day, you understand his excitement about your relationship but he contains himself to not make you uncomfortable

Caboose x Reader - Nightmares
A/N: Okay, I can explain. See, I was looking at my inbox messages and feeling incredibly guilty, and came across 5 - YES FUCKING 5 - old prompts asking for Caboose angst/fluff. So, I’m so, so sorry, and I hope this makes it up to you. I’m not currently taking prompts right now, but i’m going to try and slowly empty my inbox.
Summary: Caboose relies on you for comfort, but tackling the nightmares isn’t easy. You do your best, creating a world filled with late night adventures and cookies; with a special appearance from Agent Washington.
WC: 1190
You roll over in bed, snuggling deeper into the mound of blankets and searching for sleep. But the sound of the metal door sliding open has your eyes fluttering, the cold stinging your nose as he shuffles inside. You sigh into the darkness, focusing on the figure now stood at the end of the bed; faint light illuminating his face streaked with tears.
“Nightmares again, Caboose?”
The young man nods. A small whimper escapes his lips as he jams a fist against his eyes, crying softly into his palm. Cloaked in his blanket, his bright blue eyes don’t leave the sympathy oozing from your expression as you sit up. The floor nips at your toes despite the rugs you’d tosses across the metal sheeting, cursing the men who designed the living quarters. The nights were always painfully cold.
Standing up and slipping your feet into slippers, you smile at Caboose, collecting your own blanket, fabric pooling to the floor. Opening your arms he curls in, the tall man becoming a tiny child as a tremble of sobs burrow into your shoulder. Your hands work his back, rubbing soothing circles as tentative hums resonate between your lips, fingers brushing back the mess of dark curls tumbling over his eyes.
Clinging to you, the back of your shirt tugs tight in his fingers, Caboose holding on like you were the only thing that existed. His shoulders hunch beneath the blanket; torment aching in his wails as tears soak your collar. Your heart pounds, chest heavy as you listen to his sobs. Broken and lost as he struggles, trapped in a world that had haunted him every night for months.
You wish you could take away the pain, somehow steal the agony wracking through his body. All you’ve ever wanted to do is shield him, protect a man who deserves nothing but joy; but you can’t. It’s your job to pick up the pieces, to bring him back to a place of warmth and love. And it was time to clock in.
Between your murmurs, his tears begin to slow until only soft sniffles remain. Tilting his chin, you smile gentling into his warm eyes, their depths tracing your features. In the moonlight his bags are darkened, the curve of his jaw and cut of his cheek produce elongated shadows that act like bruises. Purples bloom across his childlike innocence, plunging him into a state you found so incredibly familiar.
“You ready for another adventure?”
At your words he brightens. Colour returns to his cheeks and burns your fingertips. Taking your hand in his, he nods eagerly, excitement washing away the fear and anguish that had gripped him moments before.
“I’m the best at adventuring,” he states, letting you lead him from your room and into the hallway, “even in the scary places.”
“You’re the head adventurer,” you encourage, tracing through the darkness of the base. Shoes whispering against the metal as you pass the others’ doors locked tight, gentle snores slipping across the sheets. Caboose presses a finger to his lips, noisily forcing a ‘shhh’ as you try to suppress your giggles.
“Well then,” you start, finally pulling into the mess hall and flicking on the lights, blinded by the intense glare. “Are you ready for the mission?”
He straightens, blanket still tight around his body, his hands forming fists against his waist. “I was born ready.”
“Are you sure? It could be dangerous,” you prompt, approaching him and taking the fabric, tying it like a cape around his neck. He does the same to you, fingers lingering against your jaw, a warm thumb tracing the angles.
“I’m not afraid of anything.” He’s certain, foolish bravery stretching a goofy grin across his face, memories of the nightmare quickly dissipating. “I’ll protect you from the monsters.”
“But can you protect me from the lava?” In a smooth bound you leap up, landing on one of the many tables littering the hall. Caboose panics before scampering after you, making sure his cape wasn’t dipping into the magma.
“There’s a fresh batch of cookie in the kitchen,” you inform, jumping to the next table, pretending to wobble, “and they’re in danger.” He follows your lead, moving forward, his long limbs always seeming confused. Cupping your hands around your mouth, you look to him, unable to hold back the grin as he continues to launch between the tables, small noises of effort muttered with childlike glee. “Only you can save them, Caboose.”
He glances back as you hurtle forward, metal scraping against metal with each small movement. Caboose is ahead of you, only a few tables away from the entrance to the kitchen, eyes alight and brimming with joy.
His face twists in terror as he glances back, mouth hanging agape to stir concern inside your chest. “No,” he whispers, eyes fixated behind you. Turning, you let out a relieved sigh, Agent Washington standing in the doorway with accusations in his eyes.
“What’re you doing?” he asks, tone telling you that he really didn’t want to know. You shrug, motioning to Caboose as he continues to be dramatic.
“Wash, quickly,” Caboose gestures to the closes table, urging him to hurry. “The floor is lava, you’ll burn up.”
“I’m not getting involved; I just wanted a snack–”
“You’ll die, Wash!” Caboose wails, and David releases a rattling sigh, eyes catching yours as they glint encouragingly.
“Oh no,” he jokes flatly, eyes tired and blond hair a mess as a hand runs through it, “I’m dying. You’ll have to go on without me.”
“David,” you scold, and he sighs with his shoulders, clearing his throat. Sinking to his knees, Washington makes his best death noise, holding up a hand as he’s engulfed in the lava; Caboose’s laments ringing out.
“Oh no, I’ve made the most foolish blunder. Go on without me, Caboose the great. Save a cookie for my grave.” His eyes flash to you, the corner of his lips tugging upwards when he sees you’re satisfied, revelling in the light of your face. Seeing you so joyful and so far along the road of recovery filled him with hope. He never thought Freelancer’s could have a chance, but you’d proved otherwise.
He watches as his friends’ giggle, Caboose holding out a hand for you to leap, your bodies clattering together. “Don’t worry,” claims Caboose heroically, holding you close, dipping you over the edge the way he’d seen in movies. “I’ll save you.”
“Oh, Caboose the great,” you call, letting him lift you before swinging onto his back, arms winding around his neck, “you are truly the bravest adventurer.”
“And the best,” interjects Washington. Caboose whips round and yelps with glee, David’s eyes widening when he realises he’s gotten too involved.
“Washington, you are alive!”
“No, I mean no I’m not. Err, I’m a ghost. Boo.”
“Come, ghost, we must save the cookies.”
“Fine,” grumbles Washington half heartedly, clambering onto the benches, a smile playing around his lips.
You cling to Caboose, his cheek nuzzling into your arm until he launches into the kitchen, shrieks of delight bubbling from your chest as the smell of cookies fills the air.

Craziness at Midnight [RvB]
Pairing: Blue Team X Fem!Blue!Reader Fandom: Red Vs Blue (RvB) Notes: Welcome to Hell, AKA Blood Gulch! Warnings: Language, Typical Reds and Blues
You would think, after spending years with this dysfunctional group called Red Team and Blue Team, you would get tired of things. But no. Everyday is a new adventure, whether someone liked it or not.
Take for instance, your arrival to Blood Gulch and Blue Team. Believe it or not, you were one of the first to arrive, yet Church and Tucker still insisted on calling you “Rookie.”
You were there during the time that Flowers was alive, or at least when you arrived, it was three hours before he died.
It was a bit traumatizing to witness on your first day, but while Flowers seemed like a nice and understanding guy, he looked like he had something else planned, something not good.
Not that you minded anymore, because he was long gone - and you were still stuck in this godforsaken Hell of a canyon. And if the canyon wasn’t bad enough, it was the people.
When looking back to the time before the arrival of Caboose, Church and Tucker liked to claim things were peaceful; which was complete and utter BS, because if anybody on Blue Team liked to bicker, it was those two. They always seemed to find little things to bother the other about, which was exactly why you stayed out of things.
It was hard, at first, staying out of their conflict when Tucker tried to flirt with you constantly and Church considered you the only other sane person here, although he grumbled about you never bothered to actually talk to him so he didn’t want to say much.
And it was true, you were being selfish. But did you care? No. You spent a lifetime training during your life to help the UNSC, only to be sent to the middle of absolute nowhere because your fiery temper caused a large fight. It wasn’t your fault this army was full of misogynist assholes!
But you supposed that knocking five guys out and mortally injuring another was a bit unnecessary...
Life seemed to consider that was alright, though, because it came back to bite you in the ass by Tucker finding your reason as a good excuse to say he liked woman with a hot (in both ways) temper.
And after Caboose came along? Things turned way more hectic. Caboose was quite the character, having what turned out to be O’Malley inside his head, and thus setting him free because everyone’s radio was on.
And figuring out who he was without O’Malley was entirely another story. On the plus side, you found you were relatively okay with kids, or at least as close to a five-year-old-in-a-man’s body could get.
You couldn’t exactly claim it was easy to take care of Caboose, it wasn’t like raising a kid, it was like having your kid be the same way every day, never growing up. It made things routine, but at the same time a tad frustrating because there were some things Caboose just couldn’t comprehend.
But, you found out the hard way you simply had to deal with it, for Tucker didn’t care and Church had a quicker temper than you. Thus, you managed to develop a sort of bond with Caboose, which brings you to now.
“Miss [Name]! Miss [Name]!” Caboose’s excited voice called out, waking you up from a nap. You sat up groggily, rubbing your eyes. What could be so important to wake you up for?
It was useless to fight Caboose off, however, because that could go one of two ways; Caboose disappointed or Caboose using his abnormal strength to get you up. You preferred neither, so you took out your [variation of blue] armor and opened your door just in time to see Caboose there.
“Hello!” He responded cheerfully.
“Yes, hi, Caboose. What is it?” He seemed to think for a few moments.
“Uh... oh! Right! Well, Church and Tucker are doing this thing and they want me to help, and they said you would make me cookies for it but I didn’t like Tucker’s tone so I thought I’d come to you.”
Lately, those two have been making all sorts of weird plans that have you concerned - not necessarily for them, but for yourself. There’s an unbelievably high chance of something blowing up in this canyon, and you wanted nothing to do with it.
“Thanks, Caboose. I’ll check it out, because those two haven’t talked to me.”
“Okay! But you’re still making cookies right?”
“Of course.”
--
“Oh. My. God. This whole thing was stupid from the start! I cannot believe you right now.”
“Ok, this? This wasn’t my fault. You were the one to forget the batteries, not me!”
“You literally ripped a hole in the sleeping bag!”
“So? We have more!”
“No, you dumbass, we have four. And now we’re short one!”
“What does it matter anyways? It’s only just gonna be the two of us?”
“Could you be any more dense? First, we asked Caboose to help, who will insist on coming because I’m his best fri- fr- you know what forget it. Plus, he literally just ran off calling for the rookie! She’ll end up coming along too!”
“Good! And maybe, since according to you this whole thing has been ruined, it can be just me and her!”
It wasn’t hard to find Church and Tucker; those two were arguing so loudly you wouldn’t be surprised if the Red Team heard them. But you were a bit cautious about whatever they were doing, and you were not willing to be left alone with Tucker.
“Are you kidding me? I’m not letting you alone with [Name]! She’s the only other person who’s sane here, and I will not have you turning her insane because you annoyed her past her limit.”
“Annoy? Woah man, I don’t annoy people. My flirting skills are just so great that all the ladies play hard to get!”
Seriously, just how long will these guys believe that no one hears their conversations? Considering how bored everyone gets, you and Caboose couldn’t have been the only ones to hear them.
“Hey! Second best married couple!” You yelled, making them stop abruptly.
“Second best?”
“Yeah! You ever heard those guys from Red Team? They argue twice as much as you guys do! I was walking the other day, and all those two do is stand around and bicker like some old married couple.”
“Isn’t that what we do? Stand around and talk all day?”
“Yeah, but ours is more consistent. All they do is argue while we come up with shitty plans.”
“Makes sense.”
“Well anyways,” You got back to the task at hand. “What the hell are you two up to?”
“Nothing!” They both rang out, obviously doing a bad job of keeping a secret from you.
“Oh, don’t give me that,” you complained. “I heard you two chatting about batteries and ripped sleeping bags. I also heard my name involved, and I’d like to know what I’m being forced into.”
“Well,” Church said after a thoughtful pause. “We’re looking for a way out.”
You almost thought he was joking. “ A way out?”
“Yeah.” Tucker responded. “We’re sick and tired of all this sun, and thought we could leave through the caves. It’s a hella lot cooler in there, and we haven’t looked at them enough to say there isn’t a path out of this closed off area.” “...Alright. I want in.”
“Huh?”
“You heard me. Look, everyone could use a break. Plus, that’s just the thing. We don’t know what’s out there, so who’s saying we won’t get killed? As one of the only capable people here (probably the only one actually), I have to make sure you don’t die.”
“Aw, how sweet-”
“Shut up Church. It’s that, and I don’t want whatever we find to kill me.”
“Oh. Well, we do have supplies for everyone here, considering we can’t leave Caboose here without the base blowing up-” A loud explosion towards the back of the base sounded. “Tucker did it!”
“As I was saying,” Church continued. “But we’ll need a way to leave without the Reds expecting anything. The last thing we need is even more idiots showing up.”
“Oh that’s easy,” Tucker scoffed. “Just make some scarecrows with our colors and helmets on them.”
“Yeah, but don’t make them too convincing. Some of us here are dumb enough to get them mixed up.”
--
“So...” Grif trailed off, getting more bored by the second as Simmons stared through his sniper rifle. “You find whatever it was that exploded?”
“Nah,” Simmons answered. “Probably another one of the Blues’ failed projects.”
“You sure? Usually they’d be yelling at each other.”
“Well, it looks like they’re just standing around and talking, so I’d say yeah. Nothing productive going on there.”
“Same here,” Grif mumbled under his breath.
“Well, I’m gonna... go downstairs and eat. Since nothing ‘productive’ is going on. This watch is stupid.”
“What? You can’t leave.”
“Why not?”
“Why not? Why not? Grif, literally all you do is nothing all day. Sarge would be pissed at you. The least you could do is bear this until Sarge calls us down for his new plan.”
“Simmons! Grif! Get down here ASAP!”
“Speaking of which...”
--
Meanwhile, in the back of the Blue base, everyone was “having fun” with arts and crafts. And by fun, you meant Caboose was having fun, Church was done with his, and you and Tucker were arguing over your scarecrow.
“Haven’t you ever thought about how perverse and rude that is?!”
“Well, we want this to fool the Reds, right? So they have to be accurate!”
Tucker was trying to convince you to use something to mimic your breast size for your scarecrow. This caused a lot of commotion, and thus why neither you nor Tucker had finished your scarecrows.
“...And, done!” Caboose called, satisfied with his coloring. He put down his blue crayon and Church helped him put the shirt on the scarecrow.
“Hey, you guys done with your spat?” Church turned to you both.
“You know what, forget this!” You threw down the extra helmet you had to the ground. “You want it accurate, make it yourself!”
“Maybe I will!”
“Fine!”
“Fine!”
“I’ll be inside, packing my and Caboose’s bags. Caboose; orange juice or milk?”
“Orange juice, please!”
“Alright.” You nodded your head. “If you need me, I’ll be inside.”
There was a moment of silence as you walked inside, and Church seemed to be stunned at the relatively calm (at least for them) results. But after thinking about what he would do if he commented, he decided to leave it be and pack his own bag.
When everything was all said and done, the tension between you and Tucker managed to slip away (as it does for everyone), and you all gathered in the back of your base once again.
“Okay. So, Tucker, you and me are going to set up the scarecrows, while Rookie and Caboose are going to get Sheila to drive beside them as they head to the caves to shield them.”
“Right.” Tucker nodded.
“You got that, Caboose?” “Of course. Wait, what are we doing again?” A collective sigh sounded out.
Tucker and Church carefully picked up a scarecrow in each hand, and tried to use them as cover as Tucker placed two on the roof, and two facing towards the others (backs to the Red base).
Sheila drove slowly, with Caboose and you slowly moving beside her, and once you two got to the caves, Sheila started heading back.
However, halfway she turned a different direction, much to Church and Tucker’s confusion and frustration.
“Sheila!” Church quietly yelled. “What are you doing?!”
“I’m giving the illusion that I am mindlessly driving around,” Her monotone voice responded, but to the others it sounded a bit smug and teasing.
“But we need your cover!” Tucker said, growing more impatient by the second.
Sheila gave no response, but continued turning in different directions. After a couple of moments, she finally faced the caves and started heading that way. But she drove a little too quickly, and they had to jog with her.
Upon reaching the caves, you voiced your complaints. “What took you so long?” You hissed.
“Sheila was being a bit of a bitch,” Church answered. When Sheila turned to aim at Church after his statement, the three of you headed deeper in, where Caboose was staring at the ceiling.
“Caboose, what the hell are you doing?” Tucker asked.
“Finding the way.” He simply responded.
“The way?”
“Oh yeah, There are weird carvings on the ceiling of each area, so I look at them to find my special spot.”
“...” All of you were speechless at his sudden intelligence; his plan made perfect sense.
Caboose turned to his left and ran off. “Now let’s go find those star unicorns!” And there it goes.
“Well, that was weird.”
“Tell me about it.”
--
“Hey, what are the Blues doing?”
“Oh, same as usual. Standing around and talking. Look, it’s like they’re immobilized.”
“Are they?”
“Can’t really tell, they’re too far away. But since there’s nothing better to do in this place, I’m assuming that’s what they’re doing.”
--
“Ugh, I’m tired. How much longer is this?” You complained, feeling a bad ache in your feet.
“I can always carry you if you want,” Tucker suggested.
“And give you a chance to grope me? Nah.”
“Worth a shot.”
“Maybe we should take a break,” Church observed as Caboose grew more and more tired. “Caboose, how long will this take?”
“The next area. You can tell by the pretty lights.”
Everyone trudged into the place thankfully, and barely managed to open their sleeping bags before passing out. You had a relatively peaceful sleep until Caboose woke you up.
“Miss [Name]?”
“Ugh...”
“Miss [Name]?”
“What.”
“It’s cold.”
“No it’s not.”
“Yeah, I’m pretty sure it is.”
“No, it’s not.”
“But my arms and legs are freezing!”
You sighed. Clearly, Caboose couldn’t understand sarcasm and denial.
“And what do you want me to do about it?”
“Well, I wanted to share with Church, but he looked scary in his sleep, and I don’t want to be with Tucker. He gropes people.”
“So you want me to share with you?”
“Yes.” Wow, Caboose does not know how to beat around the bush, does he?
“... You’re lucky I’m the only one willing to deal with you. C’mere.”
Tucker woke up, or just barely enough to understand you were about to cuddle with Caboose, and immediately complained. “Oh, so you’ll sleep with him?”
“It’s not like that and you know it! Besides, this wouldn’t have happened if you hadn’t ripped a sleeping bag in the first place.” That shut him up, but not Church.
“Are you seriously cuddling with Caboose?”
“What’sa matter? Jealous?”
He quickly turned away, and you heard a stern “no.”
“That’s what I thought.” You said, and gazed at the ceiling.
Caboose wasn’t kidding when he said the place had pretty lights. Right above your heads was a bunch of white lights that represented stars; not too bright to keep someone up, but just visible enough to remind someone of actual stars.
In all, you learned that there was night in Blood Gulch. It was just in the caves. And having to travel with the people you’ve been stuck with to see it? Wasn’t so bad. Or, you considered, it could be worse.
You would still never be used to the craziness that is in Blood Gulch, but you sure as heck would be able to look back on these days in interest, and appreciate moments like these.
Your canyon was full of mysteries, both in what environment it has and the people stationed here. But did that matter?
Not to life, who likes to screw you all over in weird ways.

“Wash.”
The ex-freelancer’s face scrunched up in annoyance as Y/N’s warm breath hit his face; he turned his face a bit further into the pillow and tightened his hold on her. They were squished together on her small cot in the second bunk room of Valhalla.
“Wa-ash,” she sang, this time closer to his ear.
Her hands ran up his back and began running carefully through his hair, working out any small tangles from the night. Washington relaxed his hold around her and slowly pried his eyes open.
His eyes were a bit glassy from sleep, and he blinked slowly as he tried to focus on Y/N’s face.
“Hm, don’t call me that,” he muttered, dropping his head into the crook of her neck.
She sighed, a fond smile settling into her face as she whispered, “Good morning David.”
“Much better.”
“Dork,” she laughed.
---
“Hey, Caboose?” Tucker called as he stepped onto the overlook of their base.
Caboose stopped swinging his feet and looked back over his shoulder.
“Ah, good morning Tucker! Can you make me breakfast?”
“I thought Y/N would have made you breakfast.” He took a seat next to Caboose, leaning back on his hands. “Actually, I haven’t seen her yet.”
“Oh, that’s because she and Church are having alone time.”
“Church? Oh, right… Chur- Wait, what do you mean alone time?”
“Alone time. You know, where I go play outside the base and they stay inside the base. Ya, when we first met Agent Washington they would have alone time all the time… Church would always get sick when that happened, and then we would go explore!”
Tucker opened his mouth to pry a little more, but was interrupted by Sarge.
“Hey blues!”
Tucker let out a long groan, rolling his eyes, and looking down to find the whole of red team in front of their base. They, unlike blue team, were armored up and looked ready for combat; minus Grif who kept swaying like he was falling asleep.
“Dude, no attacks before eight!”
“It’s eight O’one!” Simmons yelled.
“But I haven’t had my breakfast yet!” Caboose complained. “And we aren’t allowed to interrupt alone time, Church said Agent Washington and Ms. Y/N would be very mad if I did.”
“Oh… Well then uh… we’ll be back in an hour.”
“Wait, why are you just accepting this?”
“Son, this ain’t our first rodeo with Agent Wash-” Caboose’s lips began to quiver and his eyes started getting glassy. “Church,” Sarge corrected himself.
“What about Wash?”
Tucker and Caboose whipped their heads around as Y/N stepped out onto the roof, still in her sleep wear and with two MREs in hand. She handed one to Caboose and apologized for taking so long, and came to stand between him and Tucker.
“He stole our flag!” Simmons yelled, changing topics.
“Well, you know the rules… what are you gonna give us?”
She dropped to a crouch, elbows resting on her knees as she ate her breakfast.
The reds started grumbling amongst themselves.
“You know, they really need to start making surrender speeches before they walk across the canyon,” Tucker muttered. He side eyed Y/N. “So… you and Wash?”
Y/N coughed, spitting out some of her food, and scowled at Tucker.
“What makes you say that?”
He raised an eyebrow. “Alone time? You really thought Caboose would keep that to himself?”
After a bit of grumbling to herself, Y/N responded, “I mean, you’re just now finding out about it.”
“Alright!” The blue’s turned back to the surrendering reds. “We have decided that in exchange for our flag, we will babysit Tucker and Caboose.”
“Wait, that sounds like-”
“Deal!”
“Hang on, you’re just giving them prisoners AND their flag!”
“Oh my god! We’re having a playdate! Y/N! Y/N! Can we stay the night?”
“No. Wash and I will pick them up at eighteen hundred, and then you can have your flag back.” She turned to Caboose. “Go back your bag.”
“Yay!”
“Look, if you want alone time I’ll make myself scarce, but please don’t send me over there with him,” Tucker groaned.
“I trust you to babysit him more than any of the reds, just make sure he doesn’t kill anyone. Now get going.”
Begrudgingly, Tucker headed back into the base to grab his stuff. It wasn’t long before he and Caboose stepped out of the ground level and followed the reds back to their base, Tucker flipping Y/N off as he left.
“Where are they off to?” Wash asked, joining Y/N outside in full armor.
“Red base. The reds wanted their flag back in exchange for leaving us alone… I thought it was a good deal.”
Taking off his helmet, Wash frowned in confusion.
“So you gave them prisoners in exchange for giving them their flag back?”
“I’m giving them their flag back in exchange for a date night, er, day.”
“But I just got this armor on,” Wash huffed, squinting off into the distance as a small explosion went off.
“Well,” Y/N hummed. “I can always help you take it off.” A smile forced its way onto Wash’s face as he hung his head with a soft laugh. “By the way, Tucker knows now.”
“God damn it.”

Home (Caboose x Red! Reader)
Pairing: Caboose x Red! Reader
Rating: General.
Word count: 657 words
Requested by:
Notes: I think I got a bit away from the actual request because a Romeo and Juliet situation would involve someone dying xD, so let's not have that for now
Warning/s: None
You want to find the warmth of a place to call home. Have you found it yet?
During your years of life before joining the Red Army you didn’t think of or put too much attention to dating, it wasn’t so hard to find new people to hang out and share the things that you had in common and look forward to a relationship, so you brushed the need of affection for later when you enrolled in the army and ended up in a box canyon with the people who would later become like a family to you.
All those years trapped inside the canyon, divided from your team, moving around constantly left you yearning for something stable and a place to call home. You had seen Valhalla, Blood Gulch and Chorus slip from your grip like thin sand and with it the hopes of stability and that sense of protection.
Aside from that, being the only girl in the Red Team had you to deal with uncomfortable situations, like Sarge insisting on you and Simmons to date to avoid the fact that Simmons obviously had a crush on Grif and you were starting to think that Caboose was handsome rather than just ‘cute’.
Maybe it was the fact that you had been there for so long that you started to know that you wanted more than just a family made of these friends you’ve made along the way. You wanted to finally settle down in a place to call home.
In all that time you had shared unexpected trysts with Caboose, playful meetings where you would just talk, where Caboose would speak and you will listen and vice versa, where you could have fun being yourselves without a care in the world of the team you belonged to. It didn’t matter if your armor was red, blue, and green or whatever color is known by men.
That feeling you were lacking? That sense of having found a home…You felt it whenever he was near, as if all the cloudy thoughts, the painful memories of the past, and the scars of forgotten battles didn’t exist and it was just you and him in the same place filled with warmth.
Even after knowing that both teams were a family, after knowing you could trust one another, there was always that small thought in your mind: Red vs. Blue.
Vs.
You didn’t know if Sarge’s wariness towards your blue-armored friends was because of his past experience or pure force of habit after all those years inside a fake warm against one another.
Those thoughts plagued your mind, filling you with insecurities and uncertainness as Caboose sat behind you, playing with your soft locks of hair, braiding, brushing, caressing with all the care in the world.
And you knew he was not dumb and he could read you better than an open book, so he leaned forward and rested his chin in your shoulder, wrapping his strong arms around your frame.
“Is everything alright, (Your name)?” He asked, looking at you with wide eyes filled with worry and it almost broke your heart to see him like that after everything he had to endure.
“I’m just wondering when will we have the change to go back home.” You sighed out, trying to hide more of your concerns under a small smile as you reached to hold his hand and ignore the bright shade of blue against the contrast of the red shade of your armor.
Caboose hummed playfully. “Ah, don’t be silly!” He said cheerfully, “We can’t go back home.”
Your heart jumped and twisted inside your chest at his words, but maybe you had to phrase it better and say that you didn’t mean it about Blood Gulch or Valhalla or Chorus—
“I think our home is where all of our friends are! Here is our home and will always be as long as we stay together!”
Maybe he understood better then you did then.
You had him, and he was your safe place…He was your home.

Blue Family (Caboose x Blue!Reader...kinda?)
Prompts #25 I thought you were dead + #29 You can’t protect me.
You hid under the table, taking a deep breath as you heard Church’s steps get away. You went out, grabbing the broomstick tightly in your hands. “Okay, he’s gone.” You said, and Caboose went out of the pantry, also holding a broomstick.
It was one of those few days when Tucker and Church wouldn’t act like assholes and right now, you were doing dumb stuff that started when you all were cleaning the base.
The second the two of you went out the base you were greeted with the two others throwing cold water at you.
You tackled Church to the ground, dampening his clothes too, while both Tucker and Caboose fought with their broomsticks as if they had swords. There was nothing but loud laughter between the four of you.
“Caboose, watch out!” You shouted, running towards Tucker with a bucket filled with water to throw it at him as Caboose took some steps backward to avoid the cold water.
You grabbed your broomstick from the ground, joining Caboose, panting from all the laughter. The four of you had now dampened clothes, dripping cold water. “I thought you two would be dead by now.” You panted, shaking from your hair the excess of water.
“We’re not dead until we’re knocked to the ground. That’s the rules!” Tucker argued, pointing his broomstick at Caboose ribs as if he was going to hit him.
Caboose, with a frown, hit him in the chest with the broomstick, making him fall down to the ground with a huff. “That’s not fair, you assholes!”
“So, last round before we actually clean the base.” You got into fight stance, grinning widely at Caboose.
“I’m out.” Tucker huffed from the ground, rolling on his side like he was in actual pain.
Church groaned. “That’s one on two, motherfucker!”
You got ready to hit him until Caboose stood in front of you. “(L/N), I can take him down! I will protect you!” Caboose said with enough determination to make you smile and feel a warm feeling in your chest.
But, as always, you had to be dramatic, so you spoke. “No, you can’t protect me.”
With all your might, you threw yourself at Church who only poked your chest with the broomstick and you fell to the ground dramatically. “I’m out.”, and with that, you crawled away to sit on the ground next to Tucker, watching the last fight.
It was like watching a Star Wars movie with a low budget.
Church finally fell to the ground with a curse when Caboose hit him right in the stomach.
“Caboose wins. Tucker was the first one to fall so it’s his turn to cook.” You announced as the rest sat next to you on the grass, everyone shaking from the cold water from earlier.
Caboose lied down his head on your lap, and you bent down to kiss him sweetly, caressing his dripping hair. It felt good to have them close, with Tucker’s arm around you in a brotherly way and Church’s head over your shoulder
It felt like despite all the problems your team had been through you were a family that could never be apart.

Cookie Thief (Caboose x Blue!Reader)
Requested by @captain-bronydiscord1516
Prompts #23 this is by far the stupidest plan you’ve ever had. Of course, I’m in. + You’re the only one I trust to do this.
You stared at Caboose as he finished to tell you his ‘secret plan’, which you thought was pretty dumb, but after all, you couldn’t say no to Caboose because he was...well, he was Caboose.
“This is by far the stupidest plan you’ve ever had.” You couldn’t believe you were actually going to accept. “Of course I’m in.”
“Miss (Last Name), you’re the only one I trust to do this.” He said, grasping your shoulders like his life depended on it. “We ran out of cookies, and Grif has a package in his room.”
If everything worked out you were just going to sneak inside Red Base and steal Grif’s cookies without being noticed.
Still, a stupid plan, but if Caboose was asking you to do it, well, you couldn’t say no to him.
Caboose was oddly silent as you made your way towards the Red Base, meaning he was being serious about his plan. When you finally made it, you snuck inside, listening as Simmons and Grif talked nonsense in the upper part of the base. Now, the only issue would be Sarge.
The good thing was that, at least, he was nowhere to be seen. The bad thing was that none of you knew where Grif’s room was, so you had to go all over the base, checking every room.
It was a surprise to open one of the doors and see Donut in tight work-out clothes while cleaning a messy room that was clearly not his.
Before he could scream, or speak in that high-pitched voice of his to greet you, you covered his mouth with your hand, signaling him to be quiet.
“Oh, hey guys!” He spoke almost in a whisper, but the cheer on his voice was still there, “What are you doing here?”
“Hi, Admiral Buttercrust! Do you know where Grif’s cookies are?”
Well, for being a secret mission it was being a secret...that was sarcasm.
Donut’s face contorted in an expression of disgust as he pointed at a bag full of trash. “Ugh! Everything is there! I can’t believe someone can sleep with their bed full of crumbs!” He visibly shook violently. “I always clean up my bedsheets after making a mess.”
Caboose immediately looked inside the bag, frowning as he found empty bags of chips until he found the empty package of Oreos.
“There are no cookies left.” He spoke with disappointment like all his hopes and dreams had been taken away.
“Oh, you’re looking for cookies, right? I just put away the trash. I put the rest in the kitchen.”
Then Caboose ran out, thanking Donut as he did so. You waved goodbye at him, following Caboose into the kitchen, where he held a small package of chocolate chip cookies. “I found them.” He said happily. Almost jumping.
In the corner of your eye, you saw a flash of maroon and orange. “We need to go, now!”
You took Caboose’s hand, dragging him outside the base before Grif started yelling, “Come back here you dirty cookie thieves! If I wasn’t too lazy you’d be dead by now!”

Good enough (Caboose x Mercenary!Reader)
Requested by @gh0stw0rd
Prompts #7 You make me feel like I’m not good enough + #107 Don’t say you love me
You felt stupid, because the Mercs were using you as bait for the Reds and Blues, but what made you feel worst overall was that you were the girlfriend of the most adorable and stupid human being on the entire planet.
From being a simple romance, it turned as a way to control and make the Reds and Blues trust you, but you really liked Caboose which was a problem.
So you were being kind of a bitchy girlfriend with an adorkable boyfriend.
“Miss Girlfriend?” Caboose called for you, sounding...off. “Can we please sit down and talk about our feelings?”
Felix laughed, staring at you like you were an idiot, and probably you were. “I’ll leave you two, lovebirds alone.” He left trying to stifle his laugh.
“What’s the matter, Mike?” You took a deep breath, trying to smile at your boyfriend.
“Sometimes you make me feel like I’m not good enough.” He started, leaving you actually surprised. “And it makes me feel sad because I love you.”
Heat rose to your face because you weren’t expecting any of that. “Please, Caboose, don’t say you love me.”
Caboose stared at you, confused, but then lowered his gaze to the ground, staring down at his feet.
“Am I doing something wrong, Miss (Your Name)?”
Your heart ached, poor him, he was the one that didn’t deserve any of that.
You reached for his hands with a sigh, “Mike…” you took a deep breath to stay calm. “I’m the one who’s not good enough for someone like you. Please, understand, you deserve something better than me.”
Mainly because you had to kill him and his friends if they managed to reunite with the other. Then everything would be over.
You let go of his hands and kissed his forehead. “I’m not good enough for someone like you, Caboose.” You weren’t good at all, and you were sorry for it because you had to let him go before something bad happened to him.
And you would be responsible for it.

Traitor (Caboose x Blue!Reader)
Requested by @kimhansen
Prompts #30 You can’t protect me + Reader betrays Blue team.
You knew something weird was going on since you crashed on Chorus; you were the first one to discover what was really going on between the mercs. And you knew there were low chances of survival. It wasn’t worth the risk.
You knew about Felix’s plans of killing your friends. The great day had arrived and you had to make a choice. You wanted to survive, so, you knew who to side with.
Everything was great, you could just side with Locus and Felix and nothing bad would happen to you.
When a shot almost touched and burned you to ashes, Caboose stood in front of you. “I will protect you, miss (Last Name)!”
You dropped your weapon then, blinking a few times under your helmet. “No...” You couldn’t bring yourself to look at him. “You can’t protect me.”
And with that, you ran, as fast as you could, right towards the mercenaries...ready to join them for your own survival.
But you didn’t expect Carolina to take them all safe and sound, you felt relief washing over you because they survived one of many fights to come.
When you turned around to finally face them, you were sure Felix was grinning under his helmet despite Locus and his men were pointing their guns at you.
“Well, looks like it’s a pretty blue over here.” He gave you a hand. “You might be useful for us after all...”

I love you (Caboose x Blue!Reader)
You watched Caboose come and go as he tried to make his new friend out of the Epsilon storage unit.
He was being cautious about it as well as so obvious. And you were trying to help since Caboose wasn’t him, at least not without Church.
At least you were still together, but you wondered what had happened to Tucker.
When you walked into the base you were greeted by a mess. Pieces of weapons and vehicles scattered around the floor, as well as tools and Caboose lying down on the floor with a screwdriver in hand, talking to the memory unit right in front of him.
“And then a nice lady came to Bloody Valley, and she was friends with everyone except with Tex!” More likely, talking about you.
“Caboose? Uh...what are you doing?” You asked, staring down at the mess he had made.
“Oh, miss (Your Name)!” He greeted, cleaning his face. “Can we make some sandwiches?” He asked, looking at you with puppy eyes.
With a sigh, you had to glare, but it was impossible to get mad at him. So you nodded, bending to pick stuff up and clean a bit, with Caboose still concentrated on his job, talking about things that had happened in your time in Blood Gulch when you huffed.
“Caboose, I love you and everything but you could at least help me clean your mess up.” You almost begged, not realizing what did you said.
Caboose shot his gaze right straight up, looking at you. “Miss (Your Name)...” He almost smiled as he looked down at the memory unit once again. “See? I told you she is a nice lady and she loves me and not stupid Tucker!”
You blushed then, and you had to cover your face to steady your breath when Caboose stood up, taking the memory unit with him. “Say it again, Miss (Your Name)!” Caboose asked, “He likes it when I tell him stories! He would like to hear more about us!”

A Caboose’s family [Part 2] (Caboose & Sister!Reader)
You weren’t as bad as everyone thought. You were actually a pretty good addition to the Blue Team. They’d wake up in the morning to find a nice breakfast for them, everything was clean and nice, also it helped that you kept your brother entertained.
Caboose still didn’t like the idea of you getting close to Tucker, since he didn’t want you to catch pregnancy, also, Tucker was stupid...at least according to him.
Church was nice, despite yelling at everyone every minute of the day, but when he was calm it was nice to talk to him.
Caboose had dragged you all over the base, yelling at Tucker that he was stupid, telling you that Tex was a mean lady, telling you that Sheila was a nice tank lady, and he dragged you until you were right in front of Church.
“And Chuch is my best friend!” He yelled loudly, that even Church flinched.
“Mike, you had said that hundreds of times.” You smiled brightly.
“Was he like this back home?” Church asked in annoyance.
“Uh, no...” He was so different back there. “I wonder what you did to him here.” You hummed and Church whistled innocently.
“(Your Name), Church. Now that you had met each other you can get married!”
“What?!” You asked in unison, blushing madly.
“Oh, always the best friend dates with his friend’s sister according to Tucker.” Caboose shrugged, and Tucker came running, looking totally panicked.
“Caboose! I told you I’m your best friend...” Tucker laughed nervously.
“Oh, I thought you said Church was your best friend.” You stared in confusion at the three of them, Church was looking as confused as you were, while Caboose was smiling as always, and Tucker...was being him.
Church frowned. “According to him, I am.”
“No! I’m his best friend. I get to date the hot sister!”
With a roll of your eyes, you sighed, going inside the base to call command. Maybe it was the best to ask if you could get into Red Team.

In need of care (Caboose x Blue!Reader)
Prompt #46 Have you seen the...? Oh.
Cabbose liked to take stuff to his room, just in case he might need it later, sometimes that stuff ever got back, but hey, he was a kid. Tecnically.
Now you were currently looking for a box of tissues, you looked into Tucker’s room for...obvious reasons, but then you went to Caboose’s room, and you walked in without knocking on the door, just when he sneezed.
“Caboose, have you seen the...?” Another sneeze. “Oh. Are you okay?” You asked with a fown as you saw him sitting on his bed, covered in tons of blankets.
He was pale, his eyes were puffy and red. He looked up at you with puppy eyes and sneezed loudly once again. “Miss (Last Name), I’m not feeling well.”
You sat down next to him, touching his forehead, feeling his hot skin as he reached for a tissue and wiped his nose. He leaned aganist your shoulder and you sighed.
“Hey, Caboose...” You smiled softly, kissing his temple. “You’re in need of care, I see. Well, I think I’ll prepare some soup for you and better call Doc, you really don’t look well.” You smiled, standing up to leave when he reached for your hand,
“Could we make some cookies together too?”
You couldn’t say no, not to him, especially if he was so sick and like that, it was just too adorable, so you nodded and he jumped out of the bed, with a blanket around him.
In the kitchen, you kept your promise of baking cookies together before Doc arrived to check on him.
When night fell, you were on his room reading for him while he drew, both of you stucked into a comfy pillow fort.
You watched as he fell asleep minutes later, and you were with him the whole night, helping him to get better.
