Tumblr media
Into the desert we go! I was super excited to meet Pelleas, but first, we have to pick up some other puppies.
Tumblr media
It's Meg! I actually really like her design. She's an overweight character who is really cute. As far as I remember, her weight is never used as a punch line. Plus her personality isn't just about being clumsy or eating a lot of food, so yay! I know she can be a good unit, so I was hoping that I would roll a good Meg.
Tumblr media
I'm sad we never actually get to see this conversation play out in PoR. According to this conversation, Sothe held prejudice against the laguz until meeting Ike. As we all know, Ike does not tolerate anti-laguz sentiment within his army.
That does make me wonder, though. Micaiah, if you knew Sothe held such strong prejudice against the laguz, why didn't you try to educate him? Sothe would have listened to you.
Tumblr media
It's the beautiful man and the two puppers! I really love Nailah and Rafiel. The strong wife / fragile husband dynamic never gets old for me. I could take or leave Volug, though. He doesn't seem to add much to the story imo.
Tumblr media
Nailah! I just love her design. She looks so cool! And with the eye patch, I think the implication is that that's the eye she uses to turn people to stone? So she has to cover it in order to prevent turning people to stone on accident?
What a completely random and OP power they gave her for seemingly no reason. I'm not complaining, mind you, just bemused.
Tumblr media
This line is so funny. I know it was added in the English version, but I actually love its inclusion. I wonder if she genuinely thinks that Sothe has a bit of a crush on Ike. No one would blame him if he did! But either way, what an interesting bit of dialogue. I like to think this is the part of the story where Micaiah starts questioning whether her feelings for Sothe are as pure and platonic as she initially believed.
Tumblr media
Micaiah, this is no time to get all preachy. You're literally fighting in a revolution. You need funds for your army. I do honestly love Micaiah but she does annoy me from time to time.
Tumblr media
Omg, I love Nailah's sense of humor.
Tumblr media
Yay! I barely managed to survive this map, but it's okay, because I have reunited with Jill! Oh, and Tauroneo and Zihark are here, too. I really wish I had managed to get Jill to level 20. I feel like those transfer bonuses would have made this and subsequent chapters a whole lot easier.
Tumblr media
Izuka is also back, of course. I do love how blatantly evil he is, and how much everyone else seems to despise him (excluding Prince Pelleas, of course). Even though he's terrible, I do appreciate the humor he brings to part 1 of Radiant Dawn.
Tumblr media
And there he is! The supreme limp noodle sadboy! I love how his theme song is called "Sorrowful Prince Pelleas", and how it sounds so damn depressing. He is just so pitiful. I cannot help but adore him.
Tumblr media
And behind every wimpy sadboy is a helicopter mom! It's Almedha! Such an interesting character. So overbearing, so smothering... Not that Pelleas minds at this point. He's been without a mother's love for so long that he's starved for validation.
And that's it for now! The revolution is underway, and it's time to add our final (and least helpful) member to the Dawn Brigrade.

“el-jarado: For what it's worth, she's my favorite because Lyn and Florina are both characters I really like, although I'm kinda bummed her existence is probably blocking Florina from a true alt...”
That’s honestly my biggest gripe with it too.  Florina’s really popular, it sucks that she doesn’t have a seasonal alt of her own yet.  Also this got really long so more under the cut.
I think the other thing is that, when it comes to these paired up units, I really want to see an interesting dynamic that makes it worth it.  One of these units may as well not even exist; the very name of the units should make that clear (Duo Lif, for instance, completely ignores the fact that Thrasir is part of it, which she may as well not be).  So they have to compensate in my mind.  And a lot of them...very do not.  Like Ephraim and Lyon.  Lyon’s pretty popular.  And he’s relegated to a backup, who will likely never be at the front of one of these powerhouse units.  Or the Mia and “Marth” tihng.  Yeah, it’s an unexpected partnership, but “Marth” being the backup could mean Lucina never gets anything as a frontliner, despite basically being a lord herself, and the dynamic doesn’t actually offer anything worthwhile.  Which is a problem.  If the backup is considered an “alt” despite not actually getting anything for themselves mechanically, then the alt has to offer a good dynamic that isn’t well-explored, or offers a fresh perspective on the characters.  And because they don’t often do that, there are only five I like.
The good:
Duo Hector and Lilina is a precious dynamic we can never see in the main games.  Hector and baby Lilina, going trick or treating, is unbelievably precious and wonderful, and exactly the kind of thing I expected of all Duo units when they were introduced.  Oh well.
Duo Idunn and Fae are similar, in that we only see their dynamic at the very end of Binding Blade.  This Duo feels like a continuation of their development, notably for Idunn who is starting to regain her lost soul, while expanding upon their sibling-like dynamic that’s implied but not explored in their home game.
Harmonic Tiki offers an interesting perspective on the experiences of these dragons who were, by and large, really isolated through most of their lives, and the difference between one who hesitates to trust humans and one who jumps right in.  It’s a cool dynamic for characters who have met from across games.  Still kinda upset Ninian isn’t the frontliner.
Harmonic Altina and Sanaki actually offers some great perspective into Sanaki.  We already knew a bit about her insecurities, but having her admit to them to her ancestor who seems to be a hero she looks up to is precious, and the reciprocation and just raw joy Altina has at meeting her descendant is precious, and a dynamic that was well worth the investment.
Harmonic Myrrh...honestly is just precious.  It’s another of those really cute dynamics between characters you’d never expect to see together.  I think she and Nah have fantastic synergy, and a great dynamic to explore that, prior to this, wasn’t even considered.  It’s great.  It just sucks that one of them had to be relegated to backline.
The Bad:
Duo Ephraim and Lyon.  Did you knew Ephraim was a frat boy?  Because that’s all this alt seems to offer.  Shit we already knew.  Glad we lost a Lyon alt over this.
Duo Marth and Elise.  We already know their dynamic, this doesn’t exactly add much.  Glad we don’t get Elise in the game over this.
Duo Alfonse and Sharena.  Nothing new is added, and Sharena is known to be the one who likes these festivals while Alfonse isn’t as invested, so why is he the frontliner?
Duo Alm and Celica.  Nothing new is added, and frankly their conversation bothers me.  I actually have this one, and for the first half it just feels like bickering nonsense, that they end by just kinda glossing over because Alm did get her a different present.  Celica comes off as a brat, and Alm as kind of a dumbass.  Which isn’t out of character, but reminds me why I don’t particularly love them as a couple.
Duo Palla, Catria, and Est.  That’s a trio, but sure, it still doesn’t add anything to them.  But they’re babies!
Duo Micaiah and Sothe.  It offers nothing, it makes things worse for me by trying to insist this is the “Correct” pairing, and I really, really do not like Sothe as it turns out.  Worst paired unit by dynamic by far.
Summer Mia and “Marth.”  They offer a fairly unique dynamic, but not enough of one that they stand out.  Also I, like many others, will never forgive them for putting Lucina as the backup, and potentially removing her ability to be a frontliner in another alt some day.
Duo Byleth and Rhea.  I haven’t gotten their alt, never will, but I’m convinced their conversation is meaningless, since there is no way to make Byleth compelling without cheating.  Also I will literally never forgive them for what this alt did to Rhea.  I’m so fucking pissed this is her only representation in the game.  No Seiros does not count.
Harmonic Veronica and Xander is cute, but Xander is still the dumb joke about not being able to swim, and their dynamic is well known, with this offering almost nothing to make them more interesting.
Duo Sigurd and Deirdre.  Oh look, they’re being cute as a couple, because...there was literally nothing else for them to do or go off of, because Genealogy doesn’t care about characters.
Duo Lynja and Florinja.  Does nothing interesting with their dynamic, and locked Florina out of an alt.  Good job.
Duo Peony and Triandra.  Actually does offer some insights to their dynamic, kinda?  Mostly from the story mode though, and that didn’t require a Duo.  All this did was lock Triandra out of an alt.
Harmonic Dorothea and Lene.  And now my least favorite of all the paired units!  I have no idea what this was doing!  Don’t get me wrong, I like the unique partnerships Harmonics can suggest, but their feels completely devoid of charm or purpose.  They just wanted to take two female characters and put them in awful revealing clothing for no reason other than hoping their titties would cause people to spend orbs before they dropped Seiros.  They didn’t think about why this pairing should exist, they just said “Fuck, we don’t know who else from Genealogy would make a good Harmonic because they barely have characters to work with (fair point), just throw one of the dancers in with Dorothea.”
Duo Lif and Thrasir.  I almost feel bad putting this one in the bad category, but hear me out.  We already know this dynamic.  While it’s kinda nice to have confirmation that they have feelings for each other, no one is surprised by this, and I almost preferred when it was a subtle implication and could’ve been taken as either camaraderie or love.  Also Thrasir as the backup means still no proper Thrasir alt, and that’s kinda bullshit.  It doesn’t offer enough to offset the loss of the backup getting an alt.
I don’t inherently hate the idea of Duos and Harmonics, but there is a massive cost to having a unit be just a backup, especially since it feels like IS considers that backup as “having an alt.”  Which it isn’t.  At all.  So the dynamic needs to really work for it to be worth it.  And it rarely is.  This is the Mega Evolution of FEH.  Fantastic idea that could really have done a lot for their character dynamics and development.  But ultimately they just decided to do stupid shit with it and hope powercreep and fanservice would sell better than a well-reasoned combination of interesting characters.

This is not ask about kinks (No offence btw i don't which word to replace kink with). in previous ask, you said you didn't like the canon of Tormod and Muarim origins right? so i would to ask what type of canon would you give them if you could? I also like ask, if the Tellius saga ever get a revamp/remake, what would be biggest wish fullfill? for me its Tormod reclassing into a melee class / Laguz Army to availability more...
Oh, it's okay! No worries lol, this is a kink blog after all.
As for Muarim & Tormod, I would honestly just prefer it for Muarim to have literally found Tormod out of nowhere and took him in. Like that's just so much better than the wierd little dynamic of Tormod basically being the son of Muarim's ex master and Muarim taking him Tormod in when the noble house falls.
Honestly, my biggest wish fulfilment would just be getting supports in RD. Like, that alone would be so beautiful. Hell, they could even keep the mini supports and make it so that those are a super small in battle bonuses.
And although a remake with both games would be phenomenal, let's face it, Nintendo is a company and they are as greedy as all hell just as every other company so they'll be their own remakes
Though there's a lot more to help RD. Even though it's already really damn great imo. But if the legitimate fixes, I'd say this:
Fix availability. Tormod, Muarim, and Vika really have no business joining for like 3 chapters before leaving until the last 6 chapters with their stats from part 1 lmao
Also, BALANCE. When people say RD is the second most unbalanced game, they mean it. The difference in usefulness in characters is astounding. Also, Dawn Brigade still in tier 2 classes while Greil Mercenaries are already hitting tier 3 is ridiculous and pretty dumb
Laguz gauge. It's not terrible but I still feel that PoR gauge would work much better, especially with olivi gras and such. Also , Laguz being locked to single range hurts them so much since RD is pretty enemy phase heavy.
Weapon balance. Magic is pretty bad and also had terrible caps. Laura has amazing speed growths but can't take advantage of it since her caps are awful.
Difficulty balance: Part 1 shouldn't be the most difficult part of the game when there's three more parts after it.
Writing: part 3 aside, (I don't know how to fix it without making Pelleas look ever worse than he already did by signing that blood pact lmao) part 4's writing kinda comes across as a generic "series crossover game" it's not bad and it also serves in showing tensions between characters. But it also highlights favoritism, Skrimir praising Micaiah while ready to murder Naesala. And also Pelleas getting off the hook easy from Tibarn.
And as for personal wishes:
I wanna save Zelgius. He's by no means this innocent character people love to paint him as, but it bothers me that you can save Lehran but not Zelgius
Change Pelleas's "death" scene in part 2. The fact that the only difference is suddenly getting the option to have Micaiah jump in the way just feels so cheap. I will say Pelleas' death is kinda just a punch on the first playthrough since the option kinda does give some false hope to sparing him. And it ultimately becomes a complete waste. (though Pelleas does get forgotten afterwards sadly)
Give more screentime to Skrimir and Sanaki. The two are great characters as is, but it would've been fun getting a chapter or 2 with them to help solidify their arcs.
Also, give Pelleas and Elincia some more screentime
Ike. He's great and I love him, but godamn is he just this absolutely perfect child that can do no real wrong and everyone praises him so much. Granted, his growth was already in PoR but still. (Praise Micaiah's lines dissing Ike, it's just such a great fresh view in seeing how the losing country sees the game's hero after that other FE games don't do)
Speaking of Ike, it honestly would've been cool seeing him get a more supporting role instead of just blindsiding everything and taking over. But that never goes well in games. Look at the fandom with Micaiah lmao. (And also Tales of with the Symphonia sequel)
Stop the whole Astrid x Makalov thing. I just hate the ship lmao
And that's just for RD sjdhsjnsksb it's really obvious how much I love Tellius. But admittedly, they're all nitpicks than any actual true flaws.
As for PoR, it's been so long since I played it, but it honestly has like no real narrative flaws that I can find? I just vastly prefer RDs ambitious scale of writing vs PoR's take on the whole basic FE plot.
As for gameplay stuff
Balance magic a bit, lightning is too good. And that not, bring back tier 1 light mages and also bring back dark magic.
Give us Maniac Mode!!
RD's improved UI and models alongside the skills
Make knives way better and let Sothe promote. Unpromotable tier 1 classes is the worst idea ever. Unless you're a dancer, you should be able to promote.
Let Laguz weapons rank up
FIX THE AWFUL WEAPON RATE GAIN
OMG SERIOUSLY THAT WAS SO AWFUL
I DON'T EVER WANT SUCH A SLOW WEAPON RATE EVER AGAIN
Give Elincia more screentime. I love her and like yeah, not every women needs to be this badass warrior, but the Nyna archetype is just so done at that point. (But hey, she still turns it on it's head by the end. And so does Pelleas)
And that's all I can think of really.
Again, I'm such a huge Tellius nerd lmao. Though I currently believe FE6 will get remade first. Tellius is still too recent, and intys probably doesn't wanna touche the incest plot shit in FE4 and FE5 also has to get passed up for a remake due to being in Jugdral.
God this is so fucking long sjdbjsvavsvs

♔, ♦, ♡ !
( get to know the rper )
these are long so i’m putting my answers under the cut LMAO
Send me a ♔ for me to describe a favorite rp character of mine.
i was gonna describe pelleas but then remembered you’re not done fe10 so i will refrain MAMRKGMRGMGR
instead, i’ll talk about rowan! while i have pretty mixed feelings about warriors itself, i think its protagonists are legitimately interesting. it’s a shame that an extra layer to them is hidden behind support conversations though and support conversations are a pain to get in this game but... i mean... i guess you can say that about every character in games right? i think i only really point it out here because of how crucial some of these details are in the scope of the main plot’s themes, yet they don’t come up in the main plot at all unfortunately ):
rowan and lianna both don’t want the throne, having very different desires for their paths from one another yet being united in their attempt to force that inheritance onto the other twin. rowan’s comes from his disdain towards his father, seeing the previous king become bedridden and seeming utterly useless in such a state to a young boy. this leads rowan to grow up believing that kings by their nature are weak. he believes that kings, since they have a military to protect them, cannot do anything themselves and rowan hates that powerlessness when he knows the people look to their king to protect them. rowan can’t see the value behind kingship, refuses to, and thinks it’s not a position that would be fulfilling for him. he understands that it’s a position that requires thinking and governing, but he doesn’t see it as important as military might, leading to his evasiveness.
i like the fact that he’s clearly in the wrong with how he looks upon the position and his late father both, and i like the fact that his motivation for trying to escape his inheritance is rooted in good intentions but ignorance tainting it. more than that though, i like how it contrasts lianna’s motivations yet shows they share the same heart. lianna sees the power in the throne that rowan refuses to completely admit to, and she sees her own flaw of overthinking things and being too hesitant as cause for concern — that such a queen wouldn’t be able to make the necessary decisions in a time of crisis and would cause tragedy upon the subjects who rely on her, and that a proper ruler should have both confidence and presence in order to be effective. she wants her country to have a ruler they can rely upon to be able to save them.
both want to protect their people, but they don’t have the maturity to accept responsibility. they fear or dislike a part of it, and so they run away from it. meeting people from all different worlds thus gives them the perspective they need to understand what ruling is like and in the end, they rule together. they have finished their arc and both accept their duty, and although the other twin accepting the throne means they theoretically could back down like they’ve always wanted, they don’t. they know a ruler must be able to act but also must think carefully, and they desire to use one another’s strengths to create a better aytolis. their coronation ceremony as a result is such a great scene to me and i forever love it, and i’m glad the whole ‘warriors from different realms’ plot helps them not only in a physical way (i.e. using their might to win the conflict) but also a mental way (i.e. helping the twins mature).
warriors’ plot is an absolute mess but thematically it’s great, and it really makes good use of its multiple protagonists in my opinion. i haven’t felt this good about multiple protags in fe as i have with gaiden, and i’m glad they exist even if not really many people care all too much for them. both twins are compelling and i just write rowan because :P it’s natural for me to choose the male muse but also stan lianna
Send me a ♦ for me to describe a plot that I’ve been wanting to do.
i think i’d like to explore edward’s arc in fe10 at some point! i find it captivating that the guy that’s clearly supposed to be the “recklessly jumps into the fray as his calm friend tries to reel him in” archetype is actually the one who most wants to stop fighting. honestly, i imagine this would’ve been a theme explored in his support convos if they had actually given him them smh
he loves fighting. he’s over the moon to be given a daein national treasure. he clearly has strong feelings about fighting to protect the weak. and yet... he gets a conversation about wanting to inspire the army to just abandon the war. he’s thinking about peace, and he’s tired of nonsense wars. he’s staying only for micaiah at this point. i think this really captures a part of radiant dawn’s plot well: about the flaws of micaiah’s nationalism and how she can go too far for her goals, and how the war has its negative consequences on the people in it. what are they even fighting for is always a strong theme to go off on.
i also think it ends up getting wrapped pretty well in edward’s character ending, signalling what true happiness means to him and his choice to pursue it, and idk man. i just want to write edward LOL
Send me a ♡ for me to describe a character that I haven’t had a chance to rp but would like to.
ah, yes, the Classic Multimuse Question.
i can’t say ronan because i’ve already written him before :thonking: but i think at the moment, i’ve got my eyes set on either sothe or m!byleth!
with sothe, i just find his frustrations but him trying to work around them and being forced to figure out his priorities in life during fe10 an interesting read! he’s also a fun character: he’s gruff and blunt and could really learn to speak better, and at times he’s a surprising voice of reason despite being pretty young still, but he’s got his cute moments too like how he banters with tormod! sothe has morphed into this type of person to be able to protect micaiah however he can and prove to her he CAN stay by her side and support her, but he’s still, at his root, just a silly teen boy if you let him get his guard down. i think it’s nice. i also support male supporting characters to female leads tbh and anyone who says fe10 should’ve had sothe as the lord is saying a take i can’t agree with smh
as for m!byleth... i think i’m just fascinated by characters who allow me to explore identity and the struggles that come with it. byleth goes through a lot of heavy things in regards to it, from their lack of emotions at first to being forced into this role as teacher to eventually letting it become them to then becoming a god themself and then the falling out of that depending on the route?? Spicie.
i think i just... am unfortunately not invested in three houses enough to justify that though, as much as i think byleth could be a cool character to write, and while i lean towards m!byleth due to my own masculinity and the fact that there’s less of him than f!byleth in the community clearly, i still think any incarnation of byleth is well taken care of in the rpc without me also taking a swing at it. i also think writing my units is just... harder for me for some reason? i always view it as some kind of guilty pleasure really and byleth is no exception. i feel like if i write byleth, it’ll basically be me going through all the complicated feelings i went through when i rp’d m!corrin and idk if that’s worth it.

Affinity Horoscopes
This was a joint effort between me, @valflame, and @torhamar!  Feel free to reblog this, tag your muse, whatever!
We really like the idea of affinity as being like an arbitrary horoscope, similar to the zodiacs or blood type personalities.  Considering in the game, personality traits match up to the certain affinity characters have, here's a list of what those of that affinity are like, alongside with some cultural differences.  Suuuper long post, so here’s what you’ll find under the cut:
Determining Affinity
Quick horoscope for each
Other Notes
Quick guide for our days
Personal headcanons
How it's determined
Different continents use different forms of horoscopes.  Magvel and Elibe use the following without Water, Earth, or Heaven types, while Tellius does not have Ice or Anima types.  Jugdral hold key differences in that they recognize the same types as Elibe, with the addition of Heaven, and switching when Fire and Thunder are recognized.  Most of the continent refuses to recognize Dark affinities (due to Loptyr) and substitute Water in its place.  The Loptyr cult and Spirit Forest inhabitants recognize Dark and do not recognize Light, replacing Light's day with the Earth affinity.  Archanea, Valentia, and Ylisse are probably derived from Jugdral's recognition.
Affinities are chosen for a child based on which day of the week they were born on.  Since there's not any specific reason to assume any Fire Emblem continent recognizes the same calendar as we typically do, I'll be referring to the days merely by order, but if you want to apply it to real life, I left a guide at the end of this post.  The distinction between Heaven affinity is different, and is based on circumstances regarding the baby's birth.
Anima
Anima types are born on the 6th day of the week.  They are honest truth-seekers and are commonly gentle in their mannerisms.  Those with the Anima affinity are kind to strangers, open-hearted, and forgiving.  Anima types make loyal knights and brilliant scholars. Notable Anima types: Eliwood, Cecilia, Lute, Seth Good Matches: Ice, Wind Avoid: Dark
Earth
Earth types are born on the 6th day of the week (1st in Loptyrian Jugdral).  They can be seen as honest to the point of bluntness, and steadfast to the point of stubbornness.  Though they are kind and open-hearted like Anima types, they can at first impression be closed off and seem harsh or unkind.  Above all, they are known for their loyalty and are said to be able to get along with anyone.  Earth types are reliable and make good knights. Notable Earth types: Ike, Oscar Good Matches: Dark, Earth Avoid: Heaven
Dark
The 5th day belongs to the Dark affinity.  Those born under Dark are very perceptive. They're considered to see the world differently, able to pick out when some one is lying, or predict when bad things will happen. Seemingly pessimistic, Dark types are realists and often intelligent. They're talented at planning and management positions. Notable Dark types: Sophia, Karla, Knoll, Soren, Micaiah Good Matches: Earth, Wind Avoid: Anima, Heaven
Fire
The Fire affinity claims the 7th day (3rd day in Jugdral).  Fire individuals are usually very driven, causing them to sometimes make rash decisions.  They tend to be optimists, and don't usually stay in a bad mood for long. Even though they're self-motivated people, often times they will have something that will “puts out” their flame, discouraging them. In those cases, they can be back on their feet in no time.  Fire affinities make good leaders. Notable Fire types: Roy, Fir, Dorcas, Nino, Ephraim, Mia Good Matches: Wind, Water, Ice, Heaven Avoid: Anima
Ice
Ice types are born on the 2nd day.  Ice types are notoriously intelligent, though often reserved or withdrawn.  They are the best at keeping secrets, both when some one asks them to and on accident, when it comes to hiding their own feelings.  They're often considered cold when some one first meets them, but make good friends.  Ice affinities do best pursuing whatever they're passionate about. Notable Ice types: Klein, Legault, Ninian, Innes, Lyon Good Matches: Anima, Fire, Light Avoid: Thunder
Water
Water holds the 2nd day (5th in Common Jugdral).  Water types are quiet extroverts.  Though they enjoy the company of others, they always let others speak first and make great listeners.  They excel at keeping themselves calm in stressful situations and are good at handling others' emotions.  It's easy for Water affinities to make friends. They make good healers. Notable Water types: Mist, Pelleas, Kurthnaga Good Matches: Fire, Light, Thunder Avoid: None
Light
People born on the 1st day are born under Light.  Light affinities have a natural charisma to them.  They tend to be idealistic, and usually act in accordance to their beliefs to the bitter end.  Because of their charisma, they are good at convincing others to understand their opinions, too. They care deeply for the people who are important to them.  People born under Light are best working in groups. Notable Light types: Lilina, Florina, Lucius, Eirika, L'Arachel, Titania Good Matches: Ice, Water, Wind Avoid: Dark
Thunder
Thunder types are born on the 3rd day (7th in Jugdral).  Thunder types are infamously stubborn.  Once they set their mind on something, little can stop them from seeing it through.  People of Thunder don't do things in halves: they put their all into something, or they put nothing at all.  They have a tendency to be difficult to read.  Thunder types like to be in charge, but they do their best work when working for some one else. Notable Thunder types: Hector, Serra, Amelia, Jill, Shinon Good Matches: Wind, Water Avoid: Other Thunder types
Wind
Those born on the 4th day are born under Wind.  Wind is associated with change, and those people born under it are very adaptable and flexible.  Because of this, they can seem laid back and a little carefree, but in reality are very dependable when it comes to completing a task.  Often times, they will be the first to offer a smile in a difficult situation. Wind affinities make excellent diplomats, and even thieves and spies. Notable Wind types: Lyn, Matthew, Joshua, Tana, Nephenee, Sothe Good Matches: Anima, Dark, Fire, Light, Thunder, Heaven Avoid: Ice
Heaven
Babies who do not cry after being born are considered born under the Heaven affinity.  This makes Heaven the rarest affinity.  Heaven-born individuals are highly independent.  It is very difficult to convince a Heaven affinity to change their mind.  They do not change easily, but have strong instincts that usually guide them to do what's right anyway.  Heaven affinities will always stand out in a crowd, and slip into leadership positions naturally. Notable Heaven types: Elincia, Greil, Tibarn Good Matches: Wind, Fire Avoid: Thunder
Other Notes:
Superstition reigns that any Light/Dark union will fail, or the children to a Light/Dark couple will end up tormented or even evil.  Light/Dark friendships do not carry this superstition.
Heaven was given to children who do not cry as a small blessing to children who are stillborn or die very shortly after birth.  It's given to them in the hopes that the higher powers will look on them fondly, and in a culture with a belief in the afterlife, that the child will experience a happy, fulfilling one.
In the case of twins, it's considered bad luck to have siblings of matching affinities.  The superstition is that the siblings will argue and fight for which one is the better child, so to remedy this, the second-born twin is given the affinity for the following day of the birth.  I.e: twins that are born on the 5th day of the week; the first born will be considered born under Dark and the second born will be considered born under Anima/Earth.  This continues for triplets, etc.
Depending on the family, younger siblings may be considered affinities separate from the day they were born under, in order to prevent them from sharing the same affinity as their older siblings.
In some cases, such as orphans, where the person may not know which day they were born on, it is discouraged that an individual pick an affinity for themselves.  If it's important to them or their caretaker, their caretaker will often suggest one based on the individual's personality.  People like this are considered more in tune to their affinity's traits than people born under that day.
Archanea, Valentia, and Ylisse/Valm recognize a slew of different affinities.  Some areas refuse to recognize Dark and choose water instead, some areas recognize every last affinity, but have certain circumstances for certain affinities like Earth or Water.  Some places have begun to associate star signs with affinities.
For Convenience, here is how the days and affinities line up with our week:
Jugdral (Most):
Sunday – Light
Monday – Ice
Tuesday – Fire
Wednesday – Wind
Thursday – Water
Friday – Anima
Saturday – Thunder
Jugdral (Loptyr Cult/Maerist):
Sunday – Earth
Monday – Ice
Tuesday – Fire
Wednesday – Wind
Thursday – Dark
Friday – Anima
Saturday – Thunder
Elibe/Magvel:
Sunday – Light
Monday – Ice
Tuesday – Thunder
Wednesday – Wind
Thursday – Dark
Friday – Anima
Saturday – Fire
Tellius:
Sunday – Light
Monday – Water
Tuesday – Thunder
Wednesday – Wind
Thursday – Dark
Friday – Earth
Saturday – Fire
Personal headcanons

While Pigeon, Koko, and I were compiling these, we were also throwing out headcanons for characters that aren't from games with an affinity system.  For instance, according to this (and other things) I headcanon Henry as being an Earth affinity (and love joking about him being born on Friday the thirteenth).  Another cool headcanon we had is that Arvis is a Light affinity and Deirdre is a Dark affinity, though no one outside of the spirit forest would say she wasn't Water, and Deirdre would say Arvis is Earth (gentle reminder Loptyr was an earth dragon).
Please have fun with this post! That is literally the only reason I made it!

Hii!! Can I request HCs of how would characters act when falling in love and how they confess their feelings to s/o? If possible, Sothe (he’s mainly from Radiant Dawn and I know you haven’t played it but he deserves more love ;-; but i don’t want to bother), Conrad and Boey // PS. Good luck!!!
Good morning!! Of course you can request these lovely boys - I have watched halfway of RD so I believe I can still write for him!! Thank you for your luck, I’ll need it
(also i am a complete suck up for Conrad hahaha)
Sothe
This boy will always be prepared to do anything you ask of - whether it is to get supplies, get some food for little critters in the forests, or just have a pleasant conversation.
However, Sothe may be a little bit awkward when you talk to him - he’s slightly embarrassed if you ever just call him just to have a sweet little chat about his wellbeing.
Sothe will be much more protective of you without realizing it - he simply just doesn’t want to lose you so soon in this cruel war.
If you are battling your enemies at just a slight disadvantage, then immediately you will see your enemy dead in a blink of an eye - after that, Sothe quickly comes in to reprimand your reckless actions.
Arguments about your safety often became heated. Micaiah usually has to mitigate the consequences. But when she isn’t there… then it gets more heated than usual.
“[Name], you almost died to that Begnion soldier! Why couldn’t you be a little bit more careful?”
“Well, I’m sorry, Sothe! But I was doing perfectly fine before you came in and got my kill!
He scoffs. “You were obviously with a disadvantage there! It’s my duty to protect you whenever you can’t do it yourself!”
You feel hurt that Sothe thinks that you can’t handle yourself in the battlefield. “But I was perfectly capable of handling myself before! Why can’t you see that, Sothe? I’m not some kind of object you always have to guard all the time!”
This shocks Sothe, and you almost feel tears building up in your eyes. Before you could turn and walk away from him, Sothe grabs your hand.
“What do you want now, Sothe? Haven’t you already gotten enough satisfaction from mocking me?”
He flinches, but pulls you towards him into a hug. You widen your eyes to look up at him, but eases into the hug that he gives you.
“[Name]… I know that I seem harsh and overprotective sometimes but - you really mean a lot to me. More than you can ever think of… so please. I can’t bear to lose you…! Don’t hate me for this, but… I love you. And I want to protect you forever.”
Conrad
When you see Conrad in love, you will see this boy falling deeply in love.
Look up the definition of puppy love, and you’ll see Conrad’s name in it.
He’s willing to do anything for you - if you were busy, he’ll offer to help patrol for you, help cook with you, do the army’s laundry for you - Conrad is prepared to give his all to you!
In battle, you will see him gallantly defeating foes in front of you with his mask on. He’d be extremely graceful but merciless on the battlefield, proclaiming: “Prepare to die, foul beings! Whoever dares to face me in battle shall fall to my lance!” You giggle at how adorable but valiant he is being, and he gets a major boost of confidence when you do.
With his mask but now outside the battlefield, he’s the most suave and confident man you know. He’ll be bringing you flowers and the such (while madly blushing behind his mask), saying: “These flowers reminded me of you, [Name]. I hope they bring a smile to your face.” Conrad’s such a flirt with his mask on, but…
Without his mask on, he’s a bashful young boy again. He will follow you around whenever you have any duties around camp, helping you around with such tasks and engaging in a nice conversation with you. Whenever you would tease him about how cute he is, he turns extremely red and stutters a lot. This causes you to laugh, and Conrad is further drawn into you than ever.
Celica, being the ever observant younger sister she is, takes notice of Conrad’s infatuation for you. Like you, she teases him endlessly about whether she’ll get a new sister or not soon, and all this poor boy can do is melt into a puddle.
But Celica is extremely supportive as well. She helps Conrad to gain his confidence to confess to you, and he’s so thankful for her help all the time.
Eventually, you’ll see Conrad walking towards your direction shyly - he sharply breathes in to calm himself when he sees you skipping over to him.
“Conrad! It’s so good to see you! Is there anything that I can do for you?”
His face is burning at this point, but he takes both of your hands into both of his, and loudly exclaims:
“I cannot hold these feelings in any longer…! I-I love you, [Name]! I promise to stay by you forever, and be the knight that you deserve…”
You’re shocked at how bold and sudden his confession is, but if anything, you’ve only fallen for him even harder. Conrad is truly your unpredictable and loving man.
Boey
Boey becomes a bigger dork than he already is when he’s around you.
He tries to be smooth and gives you cheesy pick up lines, but he always adorably fails because of either: 1. He becomes to nervous and forgets the lines or 2. Mae laughs at him when he tries to do so.
Gods, he gets so very frustrated. However, when he sees the mirth in your eyes and your joyful laughter, it makes up for every mistake he’s done.
Whenever Celica’s team has to pass through a wave of terrors or a large group of Necrodragons, the poor boy is trying extremely hard to stay composed and brave in front of you. Nonetheless, if he gets too scared, you let him cling onto you - his clinginess is probably one of the cutest things, honestly.
On the battlefield, he also shows off a lot more.
“Look at this, [Name]!”
He’ll show off his cool fire magic and any new spells that he’s learnt over the course of this journey. Sometimes he may be caught off guard while showing off though, and you rush to his aid if that happens.
He honestly just loves how strong and admirable you are… When he talks to you, you can see how his eyes soften and his face has a darker shade to it.
Mae and Celica both pester him to confess his lover for you already. Mae impatiently says: “C’mon Boey. We love you. But we’re also sick of how you’re doing nothing! Let’s do it already!” while Celica laughs gently, agreeing with Mae’s words but also reminding Boey that he can take more time if he needs it.
Thanks to these 2 girls, he now finds himself waiting at the bonfire that the team has made to settle down at night. It’s your turn after his shift ends, so he waits patiently for you as time passes.
Once you come out of your tent to keep patrol, you see him looking into the fire, lost in thought. You smile and wave a hand in front of him, almost scaring him.
“[Name]!”
“Haha, it’s nice to know you’ve snapped out of it. You should go to sleep now, Boey. I’ll keep you all safe next.”
With a blush, Boey says nothing. But instead, he pats the space next to him and tells you to sit down next to him.
Curiously, you plop down next to him and look at him. Boey hopes that the fire isn’t making his blush visible, but slowly, he laces his fingers with yours and looks down to the grass. Then eventually, he looks at you.
“I… You’re an amazing person, [Name]. I cannot think properly when I’m beside you, and every day you only make me fall in love harder for you. I love you, [Name], and if you love me back, I promise that you’ll be the happiest person alive when you’re with me.”

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Star Wars
I accidentally thought up an entire AU because I accidentally tagged an ike/soren post with ‘star wars’ because im stupid but NOW
Gawain was an exceptional Jedi Master who left the Order after The Thing happens (the Medallion is probably some Sith artifact)
Gawain’s padawan was Zelgius, who Fell and became Sith Lord Lehran’s apprentice
Elena was a Mandalorian, heir to a minor clan. They didn’t like a Jedi marrying her, but accepted her and her children
After Elena’s death, Greil, Ike, and Mist leave Mandalore since they are no longer welcome
They migrate to Naboo, ruled by Queen Crimea (Elincia)
Greil runs a group of bounty hunters
Titania is also former Jedi, and she’s an exceptional pilot (horsemanship skills are here translated into piloting). She wields a staff that has two blades of green lightsaber. the end result is like. really long
Ike isn’t Force sensitive, but Mist is
Ike and all the other kids know that Titania was a Jedi, but not that Greil was
Soren is extremely strong with the Force but was never trained and therefore doesn’t have a lightsaber until late in the story
When Greil is killed by Zelgius, in a fight that’s the first time Ike ever saw his father use the Force or a lightsaber, Ike takes up his father’s blue blade and begins to train
(Non Force sensitive kid in Mandalorian armor wielding a lightsaber is a rad image in my head)
The Goldoans are a clan of Grey Jedi (leaning Dark thanks to Dheginsea)
Titania is a red twi’lek. Shinon’s probably a weequay. Rhys is ???? but not human definitely. Maybe also a twi’lek?
Reyson is a Dark Jedi who will eventually become more Grey Jedi. He works for Tibarn, who is a pirate lord who basically runs several planets and controls most major shipping routes, including the Kessel Run. Reyson is ex-Jedi but left after his entire group of padawans were killed
Reyson can’t hold a lightsaber because of chronic illness (he was born with it), but damned if he isn’t strong with the Force. he really likes using Force Lightning even though it hurts him too. Tibarn doesn’t like it
Naesala is a Dark Jedi pirate, but he rarely uses the Force so most people don’t know his power
The Gallians are another pirate group, but far more legal. Or at least, they disguise themselves as legal, thanks to Ranulf’s insane negotiation skills
Ranulf is slightly Force sensitive, though he’d never admit it. People find him uncanny but no one really suspects except, like, Zelgius
Lethe hates Ranulf telling her she has to work with Mandalorians AND Jedi
Greil was well-connected to the Gallian pirate gang back when he first married Elena
Shinon claims the Force doesn’t exist. He watches Titania jump forty feet into the air, but the Force doesn’t exist. Soren levitates an entire building. What’s the Force lmao it’s just made up bullshit
Sephiran is the Supreme Chancellor. Sanaki, padawan to the Head of the Order Tanith, is supposedly his granddaughter, and is definitely his ward
Sanaki is barely Force sensitive, far less than she should be, but Tanith trains her nonetheless. She becomes incredible at wielding dual lightsabers. Eventually, she’ll get Altena’s legendary golden sabers
The Black Knight is a mysterious masked Sith who teleports using warp powder, thanks to the Sith Alchemy of his Master. No one knows this Apprentice is the same man as Zelgius, bodyguard (and lover) to Chancellor Sephiran
(Ranulf, at some point: “hey y’all did realize the chancellor is a sith, right? yeah just making sure”
Everyone else: “wHAT”)
Micaiah is incredibly strong in the Force but untrained
Lehran keeps trying to recruit Soren as his Apprentice but Soren is like “not five minutes ago you said you’re planning to blow up Mandalore with my boyfriend on it so I really don’t see why I would join you”
Ashnard decided his son “wasn’t strong enough in the Force” (Ashnard isn’t Force sensitive so idk how he thinks he knows that but it’s Ashnard so...) and left him to die. Then shit happens like in FE canon but when Soren comes looking for Ike, Greil recognizes the child’s incredible Force presence and recruits/adopts him. He becomes like Titania (and Greil)’s padawan; Titania handles all the Force education because Greil is Not A Jedi
Soren’s ‘saber is eventually silver, because cool shit
Oscar was a Nubian soldier before leaving, and Kieran is still one of Elincia’s knights
Rolf is probably Force-sensitive because the image of Shinon’s sniper protegee being Force sensitive is the funniest thing ever
The Jedi are basically the Begnion pegasus knights, but plus a lot of other people. But like all the Councilors and shit are from the pegasus knights
Ashnard is the crazy guy who fulfills a role similar to the Separatists but with less negotiation and more just straight up murdering people who don’t join him. His Riders/Generals are all Force users: Tauroneo is an ex Jedi Councilor, Petrine was never a Jedi, and I forget the fourth Rider of Daein so...
Petrine’s ‘saber is a long staff with one blade. Her and Titania have multiple badass fights: one in the air, like the ace pilots they are, and then when they crash, they have a staffsaber fight too. Petrine is a togruta
Sothe is basically Ezra but not Force sensitive. He’s a street rat from Lothal probably
Nailah is a chief of a Tusken Raider tribe because she’s badass like that. Rafiel was a Jedi presumed dead after a mission to Tatooine went wrong, but Nailah found him and then just told her tribe that he’s her husband now and they don’t care. Rafiel was severely injured so he can barely move without assistance and also struggles to access the Force because reasons idk
After everything is settled, Soren takes Priam as his padawan and begins a New Jedi Order. how does Priam exist? he’s related to Ike and Soren, because the Force. I love the SW universe, you can just say ‘the Force’ as an answer to why any impossible shit can happen
Sephiran truly believes he’s a servant of the Force and that to have order you must have chaos and death first and Ike is just like buddy,,, I do not have anything to do with the Force and that’s. not what it wants
I really, really, really, really want art of Ike in beskar’gam with a lightsaber though

my Tellius ships
So firstly: I'm not saying there's any canon support for these, these are just ones i would have liked. Except IkeSoren. I'm going to the grave with this one. I won't judge you if you don't like any of these or if you like one that I don't, it's all cool.
Anyway. This is more for me to organize than anything BUT:
Ike/Soren clearly. Look at me dude.
Trying hard to start liking Ike/Ranulf more. Getting there, it's pretty cute. I love one-sided Ranulf/Ike because angst?? Also- Ranulf still wanting Ike to be happy so he plays a wonderful wingman.
Lethe/Ranulf. Fight. They are so fucking cute.
Rhys/Mia. This is pretty universal.
Oscar/Kieran. I love their dynamic. The base convo between those two in RD when Oscar said something like "life would be boring without you". Just.
Jill/Haar. Universal once again. These kinda ships don't need explanation at this point.
Micaiah/Sothe. Fucking hell just play the first part of RD.
Sothe/Tormod. Bros or more really. They're fucking hilarious together.
One-sided Shinon/Gatrie. Or returned. One-sided is just funny to me in this situation.
Greil/Titania because fuck you.
Mist/Boyd of course.
Reaaaallllyyyy love Marcia/Kieran omg. Their POR supports killed me.
Elincia/Geoffrey or Lucia. I go back and forth on who I'd prefer with her, but both are sweet.
Sigrun/Tanith. Mother duo to lil Sanaki
Reyson/Tibarn tbh
NAESALA/LEANNE. When Reyson dropped that "Leanne is alive" bomb on Naesala and he fucking bolted off of that battlefield my heart snapped. My mind was made up.
I kiiiinda like Zelgius/Sephiran. It's a tough situation because I feel as though he would rely too much on Sephiran, but at the same time I'm still dtf
Nephenee/Heather
Calill/Largo. Fucking power couple.
Ilyana/Mia. Is pure dude
So is Ilyana/Zihark
Astrid/Makalov. Is too funny not to Stan for me.
Kyza or Lyre/Ranulf. Is great too.
Gatrie/Lyre. What a looker.
Mordecai/eternal happiness because he's fucking amazing. Oh and his Ulki support is sweet.
Nailah/Rafiel. Don't judge me please.
Jill/Lethe. They're just??? So??? Adorable??
Leonoardo/Edward. Developer's notes dude.
Okay here's a weird one: Janaff/Shinon??? Seriously, their supports made my jaw fucking break from hitting the ground. I. Was shocked at shinon not being a total ass
Zelgius/Levail. Okay I love this one. Sorry-
Rajaion/Ena. I weep.

Top 5 worst fire emblem characters
5. Sothe (Radiant Dawn): one of my favorite things about the two Jugdral games is Seliph and Leif’s interactions with their grim and morally gray tacticians; Lewyn and August. It gives a lot of challenge to their character and they have a lot of interesting back and forth. Sothe however is such a one dimensional bodyguard to Micaiah and she never grows or is challenged from anything Sothe does or says. Sothe contributes absolutely nothing to the story but he’s always fucking there. Can you imagine if Tauroneo was the Jagen? Think how cool that would have been. But no we get this annoying little deadweight. Speaking of being a dead weight, Sothe is a mandatory character in every Dawn Brigade chapter and bringing him into the end game was fucking stupid. 4. Ryoma (Fates): A majority of the fates siblings have the issue of being poorly presented in the story but then having pretty good supports. Ryoma however is the king of shit in both story and supports, in the story he lies to you, withholds medicine from a sick little girl, ignores his kingdom after they lose their queen which he’s supposed to be running only to fuck around with some rebels. In supports he’s an abusive father, neglectful brother, and horrible ruler. Also I know gameplay shouldn’t factor, but what’s the point of a character who can without challenge solo his game in a strategy game?3. Cath (Binding Blade): a Robin Hood-esque character who steals from the rich and gives to the poor sounds like a good idea on paper. However a character who steals from the poor and gives to herself is a horrible idea. Cath only steals from penniless orphans, a man so poor he practically begged Roy to hire him, a dude who lost everything he has, etc etc. However she always acts like she’s doing the right thing. The best thing she can do is get killed in chapter 6. 2. Henry and Peri (Awakening and Fates): You Know what sounds like a GREAT idea? Letting a literal psycho killer into your battalion. I constantly see people talk about how Henry isn’t as bad as Peri but he is. Hell he may be worse since at least Peri /can/ mature. They both also have two of the most cringe inducing voices in the series. I wince whenever either open their mouth. 1. Corrin/Robin and Kana/Morgan (Awakening/Fates): With most despised characters I can usually ignore them or don’t have to spend the entire game looking at them, hell sometimes I can kill them, but Corrin and Robin are always fucking there and they are bar none the worst protagonists in the series as they’re such one dimensional Mary Sues and they’re supposed to be self inserts but I can’t project myself on to either of them in most scenes. Then there’s their kids. You know how on the Simpsons Rod and Todd Flanders are usually portrayed as annoying little shit heads for being too sickeningly sweet, that’s Kana and Morgan. They hardly feel interesting at all and are such one note perfect kids and I honestly just want to punt them into traffic. I wish we can just go back to regular protagonists. Dishonorable mentions go to: Tharja, Kellam, Subaki, Raydrick, Hayato, Jakob, Roy, Odin/Owain and Arion

Thanks, Fire Emblem Warriors for announcing ahead of time that you’ll only be including Shadow Dragon, Awakening, and Fates characters so I know you won’t be worth playing. Saved me a clean 60 bucks on that one. I mean, why include an interesting and popular main character like Hector or Ephraim or Michaiah when you can pretend people care about Bord, Abel, and Ogma instead. I mean, it’s definitely a good marketing strategy to ignore of all those games that sold well and made a profit and whose characters that have been and continue to be popular in favor of characters from a game that still hasn’t been released outside of Japan, except on a shitty DS remake that was widely panned for having bad mechanics. It’s not like this means inherently leaving out the three most popular characters in the franchise or anything.
Tumblr media
Why bother representing anything from a 27 year old franchise except the first game and the two most recent ones! This surely doesn’t go hand in hand with the chronic mishandling the series has suffered that caused it to need to be ‘saved’ after you bungled those DS remakes so bad. It’s not like we can directly compare this to Koei Tecmo’s last crossover with Nintendo, Hyrule Warriors, and see that that game has an astoundingly well varied and realized roster of characters that honors the entire 30 year old franchise it was built upon. But no, surely this is a good idea and will make the game more enjoyable. Also sure, I totally believe you ‘don’t want to put in too many sword users’ which is why you made two original characters, both of whom use swords, for use in this game. And, again, it’s not like there are other options like letting Ike use Urvan or including Hector or Ephraim or Micaiah or Sothe or Kurthnaga or Celica or Lyon or Sigurd or Seliph, any number of characters who don’t use swords from the intermittent 23 years of the franchise that you’re electing to just not represent. But yeah, cool, this is a great and reasonable direction to take this game in and definitely doesn’t look like complete fucking garbage when compared to Hyrule Warriors or even goddamned FE Heroes.
