#mic totally took a picture when aizawa wasn't looking

So, I was thinking about what happens on Fortune’s birthday--the actual day she chose for her birthday since @euan112358‘s awesome fic covers her birthday party which happens the Sunday following her birthday. 

I figure since her first day at UA was in the middle of the week that her birthday would still be on a weekday during her second year, so while they celebrate the day of her birthday, the big party, which is when everyone gives her their presents, doesn’t happen until the following Sunday when no one has work/classes.

The day starts off with several of the 1-A students and Eri storming into Fortune’s room and piling onto her bed to wish her a Happy Birthday. The funny thing about this is that Iida forbade his classmates from waking Fortune since he thought that was incredibly rude lol

To get around that, the students spent the past several days prior to her birthday studying Fortune’s sleep schedule so they could figure out what time she usually wakes up. Luckily for them, Fortune almost always wakes up around the same time each day, so it’s not hard for them to figure out the pattern.

So, on the day of her birthday, the kids get into position in front of her bedroom door. As soon as they hear signs of movement inside thanks to Jirou, they all bust into the bedroom, surprising the hell out of Fortune. She didn’t have a vision about this since she wanted to avoid having any visions related to her big day since she wanted everything to be a surprise. 

While this is going on, students like Iida, Momo, Bakugou, and Satou are working on breakfast so that Fortune won’t try to do any cooking on her birthday. Everyone made sure to wake up extra early since Fortune almost always wakes up early and they knew they needed to wake up before her in order to start breakfast before she could. 

Everyone, who doesn’t naturally wake up early, set their alarms, but for students like Kaminari, Kirishima, and Ashido who still managed to somehow oversleep, other students are sent after them to wake them up. Bakugou takes great pleasure in scaring the hell out of Kaminari and Kirishima to wake them up lol Meanwhile, Uraraka and Hagakure bust into Ashido’s room and jump on top of her bed and keep jumping until she wakes up haha

While those three always have a tendency to oversleep, one of the reasons they were like this on this particular day was because they were so excited about Fortune’s birthday. As a result, it took them a while to calm down and finally get to sleep the night before. Adorable, right? XD

Besides the dog pile that happens right after Fortune wakes up, she also gets individual hugs from all of her students, Eri, and Dark Shadow that morning. It’s a total hug fest lol 

Even Bakugou allows it, but he doesn’t initiate the hug. He just averts his gaze while opening his arms to her. Normally, there’s what Midoriya dubs “Kacchan’s Ten Second Rule” where Bakugou allows Fortune to hug him for ten seconds before he starts complaining unlike with anyone else who he immediately starts complaining about if they try to hug him.

Since it’s her birthday, Bakugou extends the rule from 10 to 30 seconds which he feels is incredibly generous on his part. Once the 30 seconds are up, he’s back to his usual complaining haha

Class 1-B also gets in on the action since they come over to the 1-A dorm to have breakfast with the residents. Responsible ones like Kendou and Shiozaki come early enough that they can also help with the breakfast preparations since so many people will be at the dorm.

After Class 1-B arrives, Eri tells them that everyone must give the birthday girl a hug. Class 1-A backs her up cause whatever Eri says goes haha The reactions to this are varied. Either they’re perfectly fine with it or get really embarrassed.

All the 1-B girls are quick to offer their birthday hugs. Yanagi even promises not to scare Fortune any that day which is the greatest present Fortune could ever ask for lol

Tetsutetsu, Honenuki, Shishida, Bondo, and Fukidashi have no problem with hugging Fortune and show zero signs of embarrassment. Rin and Shoda are a little embarrassed but can handle the hug without much difficulty.

Kuroiro pulls a Bakugou cause he finds it embarrassing to be the one to initiate the hug. So as long as Fortune is the one to hug him then he can handle it haha

Kaibara, Awase, Tsuburaba, and Kamakiri are the next level of embarrassment, but they’re still able to get themselves to hug her. It just takes them a little longer than the others to do it. 

Monoma is on a level all on his own. He is beyond flustered and can’t cover up his blushing no matter how hard he tries. However, he does hug her since he wants to and he refuses to be the only 1-B student to not hug her lol

If y’all are wondering about Shinsou, he’s definitely there for breakfast and doesn’t put up much of a fuss about hugging her. There’s a little embarrassment, but he still handles himself a lot better than most of the boys haha

Eri also gets the teachers in on the hug action, so Fortune gets birthday hugs from all the teachers, not just Aizawa, Mic, Midnight, and All Might.

Mic and Midnight give her the most hugs out of the teachers cause that’s just the way they are haha Aizawa really didn’t want to hug Fortune while the other teachers were watching, but he couldn’t refuse when Eri’s expectant gaze fell on him XD

That day is actually the first time she hugs the majority of the teachers so it was a very surreal experience for her. Of course, that’s not a bad thing. This is how she finds out that Vlad, Thirteen, Nedzu, and Hound Dog are all excellent huggers.

Hatsume also eventually gets involved in the hug action when Fortune and Eri pay her a visit later in the day. Although, it’s not because Eri tells her the rule but because Hatsume glomps Fortune as soon as she sees her to wish her a happy birthday haha

Even though they’ve graduated by this point, the former Big Three all call Fortune to wish her a happy birthday. Nejire even face-times her since she likes to be able to see Fortune’s face when they’re talking. 

Mirio calls her and spends over an hour talking with her and Eri cause he’s one of those people who can talk on the phone forever lol He also gets Nighteye and his sidekicks on the phone so they can share their own birthday greetings.

Tamaki is a bundle of nerves since he hates making phone calls, but he felt that just sending a text message wouldn’t be enough considering what a big day it was. Fatgum had to give him several pep-talks before Tamaki finally made the call lol

Fatgum calls Fortune that morning around when he thinks the kids are off to classes and they spend a while chatting on the phone. Fortune also passes the phone to Eri for a little while since Eri always loves talking to Fatgum. 

Lunch ends up becoming much like breakfast with all the kids showing up at the dorm so they can eat lunch with Fortune and Eri. That’s also how dinner passes since no one wants Fortune to do any cooking today. Aizawa, Mic, Midnight, and All Might also join in on the fun for dinner, so it ends up becoming a dinner party.

During the free time everyone has after class lets out for the day, not including when they have dinner, everyone plays games, whether it’s video games or board games. Every free minute is spent having some kind of fun, so there’s never a dull moment.

From beginning to end, the day is a total blast, and Fortune will always remember her first birthday fondly. It was by far one of the best days of her life.
