Hi! I just wanted to say that there are people that believe Miarren is real without liking Mia. I don't like her style, her music, her sense of humor etc and she isn't someone I'd want in my life. That said, I believe Darren could be in a real relationship with her because a) even though I've been a big fan of him for twelve years I don't actually know him and b) relationships don't have to fake to be toxic or just not great. I see so much stuff about how Darren wouldn't choose to be with someone like her but I've known tons of really great people that married/dated assholes. Believing he married her out of actual love doesn't mean he must be an awful person.

Hi anon. Firstly thank you for coming to my ask in a non confrontational way. That’s appreciated right now. So I will answer in kind.

I also agree to a point with you. That as fans (and I’m including ALL fandom) we don’t know him truly or by extension M either. What we know is what’s put out there on SM, by his Team, M and D. We have to base our opinions on that. That for the most part is my issue.

I also take your point that nice people marry assholes irl, but anon ‘tons’ I’m concerned for you and your multiple friends trapped in toxic relationships. In my experience when a friend marries an asshole or stays with one they are usually being manipulated guilted or gaslighted. When kids are involved it’s worse because they get damaged by that toxicity because they don’t have the emotional maturity to cope.

So I do get what you’re trying to say here, but there are too many inconsistencies over the last 10 years for me to believe they are remotely real.

I never said D was an awful person, but I did say if it was a real relationship then they likely deserved each other. They don’t treat each other well publicly and if it were real D doesn’t protect her. I also said that historically if it’s real, yet toxic (as you suggest) then they treat each other horribly so bring a child into that toxic environment?

There are way to many red flags for me regarding their relationship. Let me list them and this is keeping CC out of the equation. These are NOT opinions and can be evidenced.

OMG they are losing their shit trying to justify why he would do such a thing. If they would drop their confirmation bias they would realize that it is just a sweet comment that a friend would post Darren’s IG after his dad died and he had to work through it.  But it’s all confirmation bias all the time over there so justify they must.  It’s times like this that they really miss Abby because they fucked up the narrative. They basically concluded that both Mia and Ricky are more powerful than Darren Criss and Ryan Murphy. I mean seriously? Big-boned, Princess ccMia, the woman who has no job and no work ethic and Team Shit CEO Ricky- who can’t do anything right -somehow managed to control Ryan Murphy. Controlling one of the most powerful men in Hollywood is an accomplishment in and of itself but to get the man who started this entire nightmare, the one who pushed ccDarren into the closet and threw away the key under their own contract...THAT’S BLOODY BRILLIANT.  THE POWER ccMia and ccRicky are wielding in ccHollywood is awe-inspiring. Imagine being an unmotivated, lazy, toddler princess with no work ethic and within a year or two, you manage to open a bar, marry your meal ticket AND get the most powerful man in Hollywood to do your bidding. Awesome.   

I love how they find genuine human connection “unnecessary”.  It must be Abby writing that since most of the ccers left aren’t thinking that broadly.  Whoever wrote that comment is pure cc, looking at the comment as if Ryan Murphy wrote it for them and not for Darren and Mia.  I’m not sure why Flowers thinks it could be ok on another post because we all know that no post would be ok with them. It wouldn’t make sense to leave that comment on another post of Darren’s- it was a comment to Mia and Darren to praise them for Darren’s work promoting Hollywood and Mia’s support. Clearly, Ryan knows exactly what Mia did to support Darren, unlike the ccers aren’t privy to any of that information.  Grow up, kids.  You're embarrassing yourselves. 

Speaking of embarrassing themselves go to the end of the thread- Stillgoingstrong says Ryan doesn’t care enough to go to their wedding- a comment that has nothing to do with anything except it’s a mean, bitchy comment that provides fuel for them to go off on one of their tired tropes. First of all, caring about and honoring someone’s work after their father died has nothing to do with attending their wedding. Second of all, we don’t know if Ryan was there or not. We didn’t see photos of him but we didn’t see a complete guest photo or a guest list. Even if he didn’t attend their wedding, we don’t know that he wasn’t invited. Ryan is a very busy man juggling several big shows and a young child with cancer- lots of things could have kept him away. None of them say anything about his relationship with Darren today- a year after the nuptials.  The ccers, always willing to outdo their stupid then go off on a tangent about Ben officiating Miarren’s wedding-something that has been debunked long ago. God, they are so much like the gop and Trump supporters- they ignore everything they don’t want to see and simply continue to spew out the same untruths. If you are going to be a bitch then at least be clever about it. They are never clever.

He could have said something nice on any D post, but he drew attention to that one because it has beard princess pictured on it, he could have picked another post and said the same thing. RM is very powerful in HW. I have to wonder what it would take to make someone like him write on that particular tweet, which points to the IG post with her on it.

Now maybe he’s trying to make her look less selfish for chasing publicity so quickly after D’s father passing.

I am gay and even if this was real and Miarren was a thing I wouldn't step foot in that place, if it were a gay bar having theme nights like that proven not but maybe. But a bar that's run by straight people (even though they once said it was ok because M was bi which I'm not going to deny but I hope not because I don't want her in my community) definitely not. It's like all those companies that try to make appear woke and make a quick buck during pride month.

They did not say M was Bi (possible, don’t care, not how she publicly holds herself out or has ever stated), they said that “only one of them has publicly identified as straight” which was massive damage control for what they are doing at the bar and a major twist of the knife in D’s gut as anyone with a brain can see how fake m/iarren is and that he is a queer man living in utter hell.

As far as I am concerned, they are publicly a straight couple, because nothing has even been said to the contrary and the narrative tells me they have been dating since birth, that is publicly using the queer community to make a profit and often doing so in an offensive and demeaning way.  

Isn’t it convenient to use the queer community when necessary but slam the fucking door on D telling the truth about his sexuality and his male partner that he has lived with for years and years and years? I hate these people beyond words.  I hate what they are doing and I really hope that someday karma bites them hard.

I actually never said I didn’t, but I might as well be honest here: I respect D's decision to be with her and that people ship Miarren. But she just doesn't seem like the kind of person I'd like to hang out with and I don’t really see any chemistry between them. *shrug* 

For the record: I never sent hate to M or her fans, I don't even say anything about her on my blog. But apparently it's enough to reblog a gif-set of D's latest movie(!) from the "wrong" person to get that kind of hate. Wow.

Also, I'm pretty sure if you care about an artist, it's more important to support his art than approve of his private life and worship his SO...? I have a feeling that D really doesn't care whether I like his wife or not.^^

Could you come back an tell me what I'm supposedly jealous about? Because as far as I can see, she has nothing that I want. -- Her husband? Yes, I like his music, but he seems to be a workaholic who is barely ever home. I mean... she has to resort to hang out a his place of work to spend time with him and he couldn't even go on honeymoon without bringing his manager with him. What do you mean with 'independent? Since she left F/ox, she didn't do anything that didn't involve one of the men in her life. She directed music videos for her bf and her roommate and played gigs at her father's (uncle's? - sorry, I can't keep track of her family) venues. That's it. I was actually impressed when I heard she wanted to open a bar....Until they started to pretend it's D's bar as well (we've all seen the paperwork that clearly shows it actually isn't, right??). There are plenty of successfull bar owners who don't have a SO who can promote their bar on national TV, can ask for favours from famous co-workers and come with their own fan base. And I respect them a whole lot more. Look, I'm not judging her for that - this arrangement seems to be working for them, so whatever floats their boat. But stop pretending she's independent when she clearly isn't.

As far as being mistaken for a CCer... you know what? I can live with that. At least they are staying in their own bubble and are not stalking and sending hate to other blogs. And they don't feel so threatened by other people's opinions that they take their fandom stuff out to RL and think it's okay to threaten children and go after a charity. So, at the moment CCers seem to be the saner part of fandom anyway.^^

These blogs are damn hard to find (on account of them being unsearchable by not using full names and all that^^), but you still seek them out just so you can be offended by them. Why? It’s obvious she wants the career that D has & once upon a time- she had it. She was in a band, successful writer, director & producer in NY with family connections. When they both started out, on paper, she had all the advantages but now the roles are completely reversed. She GAVE IT ALL UP!! Why????!!

Anon, quite simply, she gave it all up because she's lazy AF and it's much easier to sit on her ASSets and let everyone else work to indulge her. Think about it. I get so many messages like this, so many (and if you want to vent to me - come off anon, seriously!) - Do you know that the other day, someone showed me a queen tinhat rant that said “The only way for Darren to clear all this up is to say, unequivocally, “I am [insert sexuality]”.  I KID YOU NOT.

I was like, do ya think we should tell her (to name a few)….

1. “I think it’s more empowering to everybody, including myself, if I’m articulate about identifying myself as a straight male playing a gay character.”

2. “As a straight, cisgender white guy, I can definitely see how people in the LGBTQ community could be a little weirded out about the consistency of these roles.”

3. “My particular torch that I’m carrying happens to be for that (LBGT rights and representation) because of the luck that I’ve had with playing certain characters on television, to be a symbol for that, and hopefully a shining light for that relationship. But I am a straight dude. I wasn’t in the closet.”

BUT - despite the temptation (I get the temptation, trust me, I get it), I did not (do anything). Because it won’t matter. Facts don’t matter to conspiracy theorists. And in the end…they can wish for a sex tape but really, whatever! Darren and Mia are getting married (for reals). They are happy and we are happy for them as fans of Darren, and thankful that he shares bits of his love with us. 

If this gang of hateful people wants to sit on their own tumblrs and spew hate and lies and pretend Darren is sending them secret messages through his clothing choices- there is literally nothing we can do about it. They can stew in their corner in anger and we can have fun here in reality.  

(Having said that, and with those transparent troll Yelp reviews in mind, if they actually harm Darren or Mia  - go forth and report to whomever you can think of).

Fill house miarren for the ship breakdown

How did they they meet?: the starkid gang was doing a small show in new york, where mia was living at the time and since she knew charlene, mia was invited to go. they met after the show at a bar. i imagine it was after college, when they were looking for places to perform. 

Who developed romantic feelings first?: i kinda feel like it would’ve been an attraction at first sight type of deal, though darren’s might’ve been stronger at first till mia knew him better.

Who is their biggest “shipper?”: joey, or their parents. particularly the mothers.

When did they have their first kiss and under what circumstances?: knowing them, it was probably a drunk first kiss. meaningful, but the time that darren had the nerve to make the move. 

Who confessed their feelings first?: darren, but mia was quick to respond.

What was their first official date?: while darren was still in new york, he took mia out to dinner and to a broadway show (maybe next to normal?). then ended the date just wandering around new york to see the sights.

How do they feel about double dates/group dates?: they don’t mind group or double dates, but they definitely appreciate their single dates to themselves.

What do they do in their down time?: they like to work on music together, for themselves or for projects, find shows to binge-watch together on netflix, and go on weekend trips with just the two of them. 

What was the first meeting of parents as an official couple like?: both sets of parents approved of the relationship, though the nerves were there for both of them. just wanting to be accepted by the other’s family. 

What was their first fight over and how did they get past it?: probably had to do with them being long distance for a while, with darren in california and mia in new york. schedules were tight and made it hard to keep communication up, but they made it work until mia was able to move to california. 

Which one is more easily made jealous?: darren!!

What is their favourite thing to get to eat?: pizza and beer, always.

Who’s the cuddly one? What their favourite cuddling position?: darren, but mia is very clingy when she’s sick. usually little spoon/big spoon, and mia likes to sit on his lap and lean on him.

How long do they wait before sleeping together for the first time? What’s the circumstances?: definitely not long after they were made official. mia flew to california to surprise darren, and it happened that night.

Who does the shopping and the cooking?: they both go grocery shopping together, but mia tends to cook more. 

Which one is more organized and prone to tidiness?: mia, for sure. 

Who proposes?: darren, and it’s simple but well planned for darren to have done it. 

Do they have joined Bachelor/Bacheloette parties or separate?: separate, gotta stick with traditions. 

Who is the best man/maid of honour? Any other groomsmen or bridesmaids?: well, their siblings were best man and maid of honor. but the groomsmen included: joey, walker, brian, dylan, and nick. bridesmaids were: charlene, alli, lauren, meredith, and lucy. 

Big Ceremony or Small?: in between? it was a decent size, but wasn’t over the top or anything like that. budget was reasonable. 

Do they have a honeymoon? If so, where?: of course! they decided to go to greece and italy. 

Do they have children? How many?: yes! currently have a toddler named DJ (or darren jr.) and mia is currently pregnant with twins (charlotte and madeline).
