WHOO screencap redraw time... but with a twist! I absolutely loved the SMP war animation going around - however, I don’t actually know anything about any of the people in it, so I decided to switch things up and put in the Mianitian Isles guys instead! I think they turned out pretty good :D
Original frames below the cut, drawn by SAD-ist on YouTube!

Because Gandus’ skin file hasn’t been released or nobody’s found it yet, I collected some screenshots of varying clarity from her first appearance. Feel free to use these however you want - fanart, simping, etc.

I started watching Mianite s0 and I’ve been reading a lot of stuff online and so now I present... the oddly-working Warrior Cats: The Broken Code/Mianite Season None AU!
Bramblestar is Ianite. The fandom’s pretty hyped up on dark!Ianite right now so with Bramblestar being possessed, this fits! Ashfur is then the shadows, cracking down on ‘codebreaking’ (or in this case, doing anything that upsets the balance) through Bramblestar.
Bristlefrost is CaptainSparklez, a loyal follower of Bramblestar/Ianite, determined that nothing is wrong and willing to spy on her own Clanmates for her leader. When her Clanmates start to rebel, she turns a blind eye, but won’t help them either. Perhaps she’s beginning to realize that she needs to do something... but after seeing Bramblestar send Sparkpelt to her near-death, she’s terrified.
Rootspring is Syndicate. He can communicate with ghosts due to his father being Tree, but he hates being associated with Tree and so when Bramblestar’s ghost appears to him, at first he ignores it. Then he realizes that Bramblestar’s ghost is telling the truth and that there’s something very wrong in ThunderClan/on Ianite’s side. In canon, he pretends that he has a crush on Bristlefrost in order to pass secret messages into ThunderClan, which would be absolutely hilarious in this scenario, so I’m keeping it. (They’re both fully aware that it’s a gag, but nobody else is.)
Squirrelflight is also Syndicate. There are two followers of Dianite in this AU because I decided that both of these characters kind of fit the role. Squirrelflight would be the follower of Dianite that switches over to Ianite, echoing how she decided to exile herself temporarily from ThunderClan to ‘repent’ but was actually going to the other Clans and telling them about how Bramblestar is possessed. Bramblestar finds out and is furious, so she’s exiled properly. Squirrelflight just doesn’t have a good time.
Tree is the priest. He has a close connection to the spirit world and can see ghosts. He’s also a bit weird, his hunting techniques and philosophies putting his son Rootspring off hanging out with him. However, when Rootspring is having ghost trouble, he realizes that he needs Tree’s help. Tree doesn’t notice the seriousness of the situation at first, taking it as a father-son bonding opportunity, but then helps Rootspring to get the attention of the other Clans. Not only does Tree have a connection to the powers that be like the priest does, he’s Rootspring’s father, which was a weird lore tidbit that I wasn’t looking for but am not disappointed with.
Shadowsight is Karl. He was tricked by the shadows into using an experimental treatment on Bramblestar, which allowed Ashfur to take over his body. At first he doesn’t realize he’s done anything wrong, grateful that Bramblestar has come back to life, but when Bramblestar starts to act weird and Squirrelflight comes to their Clan and tells them that he’s not the real Bramblestar, he realizes that his dreams have been lying to him. The absence of StarClan (or Mianite) concerns him and he spends most of his time trying to get in contact with them and ask for help. He also gets struck by lightning and almost died, then proceeding to almost die again and again. Dude needs someone to stop him from reaching StarClan the old-fashioned way.
Y’all, let me know what you think! I was just starting to realize some similarities between TBC and Mianite and decided that I needed to put my ideas down somewhere, so here’s a coherent version instead of whatever nonsense I was spewing yesterday over Discord.
