Safety Net: Chapter 1
2024
The quiet departure from Mexico took so much planning, but Armando Aretas returned to Miami at last. Hiding would just stall reality this time.
His biological father, well-known Detective Mike Lowrey, pulled strings and “eased” the lifetime sentence, but Armando just needed more.
Waiting around between missions seemed pointless. If not useful, Armando might as well go back to prison and lock that damn cell forever.
Taking one rental car back to the small apartment from Lowrey, Armando didn't contact his father right away and took this much-needed shower before organizing just a few belongings here.
“I'm back.” Armando called Lowrey by the early afternoon.
“Hey, man. Really? Do you want me to pick you up from the airport?” Mike was a little surprised while answering the phone.
“Nah. Already settled here, but I'm just telling you.” Armando cleared his throat awkwardly
“You found the house? Cool. Glad you called me, too. Need anything?” Even Mike clipped words at this point.
“Maybe a side hustle?” Armando tried to frame the question easily. “I don't wanna stay around if you'll just call for work.”
“Right, I didn't think of that idea. My bad.” Mike almost whispered. “Let's see if I can help out a little bit.”
“Yeah, bye.” Armando hung up and left once more, hoping to run errands.
____
Many ran straight to the grocery store for various reasons, but Armando didn't need much, unlike other folks with children and more vacation plans.
Leaving the self-checkout, warm sunlight hit the parking lot as Armando reached that car and settled items, but one person caught his eye.
One door opens from another storefront in the shopping center.
“Thank you so much!” You beamed toward restaurant staff while carrying takeout and kept walking in the direction of your own vehicle.
To Armando, you looked cute and raved as sunlight heats up the state of Florida.
Though watching you from a distance, Armando found himself smiling in return, but pulled together and drove away, simply refusing to act weird.
Who are you? Aretas ponders during the commute back.
_____
Cooking and eating alone, gentle music played from his Bluetooth speaker. The device stood as his most expensive item beyond weapons or gear.
One call interrupted washing the dishes, but Armando picked up regardless.
“Hello?” Armando greeted the caller.
“Hey, it's me. Got something. Do you mind if we meet early tomorrow?” Mike Lowrey picked up this call again.
“No. What's going on?” The day would have Aretas occupied.
“This barbershop owner needs help.” Mike explained. “You'll get paid for basic upkeep over there. Nothing fancy.”
“Doesn't sound terrible.” Armando grounded his plans for the morning.
“Fair enough. See you tomorrow.” Mike ended the call this time.
Better than nothing. Armando thought, sleeping without dreams in preparation.
_____
“What's up?” Cruising with style, Mike Lowrey arrived while driving his classic Porsche the next day and greeted Aretas in this lot. “We'll meet that owner first.”
“Cool.” Armando repeated the note of his estranged father.
“How was your flight?” Mike tried offering small talk.
“Good. Still getting used to the house.” Armando told the truth.
“You'll be fine.” Mike went on. “My first place wasn't always dope.”
“Wait. Didn't you grow up with money?” Aretas squinted near his father. “That's what Marcus told me.”
“Well, yeah, but your mother knocked out riches. I stood undercover and worked as her driver before you were born.” Mike cleared his throat. “Let's go.”
____
“Morning, Detective.” The barbershop owner spoke up while addressing Mike Lowrey.
“Morning, Sir.” Mike offered respect to the older gentleman. “We shared our phone calls earlier, but this is my son Armando.”
“Hello.” Genuinely kind while speaking English, Aretas offered to shake hands with the owner right now.
“Heard about you, but we don’t have much time for questions. Let me show you around.” The older man continued speaking. Even Mike Lowrey stepped back, letting this moment between two different people for once.
Let him grow and learn. That’s the only way out of this problem. Lowrey thought, quietly watching his son understand this new environment.
_____
For Armando, three important rules grounded his place at the barbershop:
Aretas needed to show up every day now, arrive on time, and avoid drama. Constant structure keeps this guy from trouble in the first place.
Clients for the barbershop varied all week and Armando would remain observant every time someone opened that chiming front door.
Sooner than later, staff knew his name and everyone laughed sometimes, offering Aretas this comradery that didn't include heartbreak.
“Have you met Mike's partner yet?” One employee chuckled while cleaning his station.
“Marcus?” Sweeping, Armando immediately rolled his eyes and workers cracked up about Detective Marcus Burnett, Mike Lowrey's famous partner.
“Oh, no! Tell us.” The employee settled down and resumed working.
“I joined special operations at the police department, but this barbershop thing is a temporary job.” Armando played up his role a little bit. “One time, Marcus accidentally set our car on fire.”
“Woah!” Voices gasped through shock and even the owner tuned in.
“Marcus didn't know that windshield wiper fluid is flammable, so we jumped out right before everything burst into flames.” Aretas nearly cringed.
“Damn!” This story just pulled everyone's attention.
“We made it out alive, but moments like that really happen.” Armando shook his head and still cleaned when the front door chimed again.
“Hi! How's everybody doing?” One greeting brightened up the entire space. “I'm just here to bring Dad some lunch.”
You walked toward that barbershop owner with the biggest smile on your face, carrying takeout.
“Hey, Sweetheart. Thank you.” The owner gently raved while facing you, his daughter.

hey bubs, dunno if your taking requests still but I was wondering if you could write dad!Max taking his kids to a theme park for the first time, maybe Disney?
Thank you in advance
Disney World Break (Max Verstappen x fem reader
Max insisted, like really insisted on taking the kids to Disney World, you were already in Miami and a flight to Orlando would be short forty-five minutes.
You, on the other hand, weren’t so thrilled about the idea of taking two four-year-old to a theme park, walking under the humid sun for hours, packed with people from all over the world who could recognize your very famous husband.
The twins, Luca and Mila, both carbon copies of their father, pleaded you to go during the entire flight from Azerbaijan to Florida, encouraged by their father.
“Max, they’re too young to go, they’ll last two hours, tops” You told him as the twins were sleeping, cuddling each other.
“We can take breaks or whatever, we’ll take one of those VIP tours so we can skip lines,” Max hummed at the feeling of your fingers threading through his hair while his head rested on your lap.
Something flashed as you looked at him, always acting like a child outside the track, maybe because he was trying to connect with his inner child, and it all made sense. “Baby, have you ever been to Disney World?”
Blue eyes made contact with yours, his hands finding their home on your thigh. “No, not in Orlando at least. Mum and dad took a Victoria and I to Disneyland in France, but I don’t remember much”
Those words were enough to make you close your eyes and take a deep breath, knowing both Max and you were going to regret this, but it was going to be another adventure for your books. “Ok, baby. We are going to Disney world. You better book that VIP shot soon, and of course we’re going to Magic Kingdom.”
Fast forward two days and you were on the entrance of the park, Max helping Luca to choose his first ears, all while carrying Mila on his arms and telling her to choose whatever she wanted.
“Those ears look really great on you, my love.” You knelt in front of your son, fixing his hair so it wouldn’t look messy.
Just as you were speaking with your private tour guide, Max walked next to you, placing his hand on your waist and gently squeezing it to catch your attention.
“Put them on, liefde.” Max placed a pair of classic Minnie ears, as he adjusted his own Mickey hat.
It seemed like you were not only in charge of your twins, somewhere along the way after riding the Jungle Cruise, your husband started taking Luca and Mila to every shop, money not being an issue as the twins overindulged in merch and sweets.
“What do you think about going to the teacups next?” Max asked Mila, who was on his shoulders.
“Daddy, I’m tired.” Mila complained.
The whispered I told you so didn’t pass unnoticed by Max, who playfully placed his hand very near your ass.
“Max! It’s full of children here, have some respect!” You laughed, placing a kiss on his chin, only to be interrupted.
“Eww! Mama and daddy don’t!” Luca said making a disgusted expression, only to be reprimanded by his sister.
“How about we head to the castle and take our family photo?” You suggested and Max agreed, asking the guide to walk you to the best picture spot.
The sun was glowing, the four of you wearing your ears. Mila was in front of you while Luca was in front of Max who placed a hand on his shoulder and another on your ass, giving it a light squeeze just as the photographer snapped the picture.
This wasn’t a vacation, though. Just after the fireworks exploded, you were on a SUV, full of Disney World bags including multiple t-shirts, dolls, Mickey Mouse replicas, a play set of Cinderella castle driving to the airport where the jet was already waiting for the four of you.
You laughed after noticing multiple Pandora jewelry bags full of Disney charms, bracelets and earrings, even if you insisted to Max that Mila would never wear them. Max didn’t care, whatever his princess wanted, whatever his princess would get.
Max and you were still wearing your ears, staring at Mila and Luca who were both sleeping between the two of you.
“So, what do you say to a week long Disney vacation when the season’s over?” Max proposed and you giggled.
“Only if you ride all the roller coasters with them while I eat my churro” You answered and Max laughed; his gorgeous cackle which made the corner of his eyes crinkle and his mouth form the most beautiful smile before leaning to leave a kiss on your lips, careful to not disturb the twins.
“Deal”

Vacation
Pairing: Joe Anaoi X Reader (Roman Reigns X Reader)
It’s vacation time, but you and Joe are not alone.
Joe plopped down on an AV box, legs spread and clasped his hands between them. “So, how would you feel about getting out of town for a few days? I was thinking some beaches, palm trees and sun.”
I giggled as I said, “Joe, you just described your house.”
“Hmmm. Good point.” He laughed. “But I was thinking somewhere a bit more exotic. What do you say?”
“Bora Bora?” He knew it was a dream of mine to visit one of the resorts with the cabanas over the water.
He started shaking his head no. “Not this time, but I promise you, we will go there on our next vacation.”
“Joe, I'm not sure I can get away. I've only been here a few months.” I said, but he stopped me by holding up his hand.
“I'm not talking about missing any TV. We could leave right after Smackdown and come back on the next Thursday, so we won't miss any tapings; just house shows.” I started to say I wasn't sure the company would let me when he interrupted, “I've already cleared it with Paul.”
I just looked at him in shock. “You.... what? You asked Paul before me?”
He reached out and took my hands, pulling me between his legs until he was so close I could feel the heat coming off his body. “Baby, normally I would have talked to you first, but there were special circumstances that I'm not going to tell you about. I want to surprise you.”
A look into his eyes showed that he was sincere and really excited. I decided to let it drop. “So, you want to go on vacation with me, but I'm not allowed to know when or where?” I cocked an eyebrow up at him.
He just laughed. “Three weeks from now. April 30th to May 5th . I'd just like to keep the destination a surprise. What do you say?” He gave me his puppy dog eye look.
I just giggled. “I guess if it's ok with Paul....”
His bright smile made me so happy. “Great!”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After Smackdown, we flew to Miami, and then took a car to a small airport, and by “small” I mean small! There were only 3 private jets in view from the parking lot. The driver gathered our bags and followed us into the airport, stopping at a little lounge with two people and a bartender.
Joe walked up to the table, standing behind the man and said, “Don't believe a word he's saying.” to the woman seated across from him.
The man in question stood up and hugged Joe. It. Was. The. Rock. I freaked out internally, and tried to compose myself externally. I'd met him once backstage briefly, but hadn't had more than a brief greeting.
Joe went to hug Lauren while Dwayne came to me. “Y/N.” We exchanged handshakes. “This is my wife Lauren.” He really was as charming as he looks on TV. I shook hands with Lauren
“So, we're ready to go when you guys are.” Dwayne told us.
“Then let's hit the road, so to speak.” Joe said.
While signaling for the check, Dwayne texted the pilot. And with that we were off on a private jet. We settled down on plush seats as the plane's engine began, and 15 minutes later we took off. “Good evening everyone.” The Pilot's voice rang out of a speaker. “I understand that one of our guests doesn't know where we are going, and I'd like to assure her that she won't hear it from me.” The pilot chuckled as well as Joe, Lauren and Dwayne. I had to pretend to be frustrated, and shook my head as the pilot continued. “The weather is looking very good tonight, and we're expecting an easy flight. You're attendants tonight are Becka and Jennifer. We'll reach our cruising altitude in about 10 minutes. After that, feel free to walk about the plane. Our flight time is expected to be 14 hours and 38 minutes. After we've reached cruising altitude, Becka and Jennifer will serve a light dinner before preparing the plane for you to sleep on the journey.” The speaker clicked off.
“Really? When do you plan on telling me where we are going?” I put my hand on Joe's.
“I believe I have the answer to that,” Dwayne teased. “You'll find out at the last possible minute.” He grinned big. I rolled my eyes, but smiled when Joe turned his hand over and interlaced our fingers.
Lauren asked, “So, I understand you two were friends for a while. I want to hear all about it. I'm a sucker for a good romantic story.” She leaned forward a bit in interest.
“Tell the truth,” Dwayne smirked. “You had to make the first move, right?” He laughed.
“No.” I chuckled. I turned to Joe, “Tell him.” I listened as Joe recounted the past few months from his point of view. He'd remembered details I didn't, like what I was wearing when we met. It was so sweet to hear his perspective on everything.
As meals were served, Dwayne recounted his relationship with Lauren. I was impressed with just how romantic The Rock was, and I was overwhelmed with joy for them.
After dinner, Dwayne and Lauren went to a bedroom at the back of the plane while the attendants prepared the cabin. It turned out our chairs laid all the way down, and with a little insert between our seats, it became a little twin bed. We'd be very cozy, but I didn't mind that one bit. Once the bedding was finished, the attendants left us to sleep.
We both crashed. 13 hours of uninterrupted sleep time. We were looking forward to that as much as the vacation. Joe laid down and I curled up in his arms.
I became aware that the lights were getting brighter, and I pulled a blanket up to shield my eyes.
“Up and at em!” A big booming voice said after a minute. It was Dwayne. “Are you two going to sleep the day away? Come on! It's breakfast time.”
Good grief, he was too damn cheery in the morning. “Ok. Ok.” Joe said to Dwayne.“You kids can use the bathroom off our bedroom to clean up.” Dwayne said as we started to stir.
“Baby girl?” Joe said as he offered me his hand to get up.
I reluctantly trudged my way to the back of the plane with my carry-on. After brushing our teeth, fixing my makeup and Joe putting in his contacts, we were ready.
“It felt amazing to sleep that long. I can't remember the last time I did that.” I admitted to Joe as we entered the main cabin.
He agreed right as we took our seats, that the attendants had turned back into seats.
“Did you guys sleep well? Was the bed big enough?” Lauren asked, obviously concerned about the tight accommodations.
I smiled warmly at her, “Are you kidding? That's the longest we've slept since before we met. It was wonderful!” I reassured her, and Joe agreed.
“Attention passengers, this is your captain. We hope you all slept well on our flight. We will be arriving at our destination in about an hour.”

It was particularly dangerous during the Jim Crow era. Black motorists frequently found themselves turned away at motels, coffee shops, even gas stations. Pass through an all-white town after dark, and they could be arrested – or lynched.
It was a perilous time, but one New Yorker made it easier.
His name was Victor Green, and for decades he wrote and self-published a guide called The Green Book. It first came out in 1936, and each year’s issue provided an updated, state-by-state list of businesses that faithfully served black customers. “Carry your Green Book with you,” its cover advised. “You may need it!”
Yes, that should sound like a warning to black drivers; it was that dangerous.
That African-Americans drove through the country at all was a tribute to determination. When the Green Book debuted during the Depression, the average price of a car was $760, six month’s wages for most blacks. Many banks wouldn’t give them loans; most insurers wouldn’t write policies.
Some dealerships refused to sell to African-Americans – even if they paid in cash. General Motors management worried that black customers would cheapen the Cadillac brand and scare off white buyers. The company relented when they realized how popular the car was with black celebrities.
Once black motorists managed to get a car, their troubles took new turns. Of the nation’s gas stations, only one chain, Esso, regularly welcomed African-Americans. Finding a hotel or cafe was even harder. Black families setting out for a drive learned to bring containers of gasoline in case they ran out, and they packed food because eating in restaurants was so chancy. Longer excursions? Best to pack some blankets in case you had to park somewhere and sleep in your car.
As much of a hassle as all of this planning was, it was minor compared to the actual trip. Racist cops, infuriated by the sight of black drivers, were ready to pounce. Some African-American men bought chauffeur’s caps so, if they were stopped, they could claim they were just servants running errands.
Yet if it were dangerous to be caught driving while black it was still preferable to the institutional nastiness of segregated public transportation.
“Did you ever see a Jim Crow waiting room,” W.E.B. Du Bois wrote in 1920. “You stand and stand and wait and wait until every white person at the ‘other window’ is waited on. The agent browbeats and contradicts you, harasses and confused the ignorant, gives many persons the wrong change, compels some to purchase their tickets on the train at a higher price, and sends you and me out on the platform burning with indignation and hatred.”
Decades later, it was no different. As the movie “Green Book” dramatized, it was no easier for rich and famous African-Americans.
In 1954, Ella Fitzgerald flew out of San Francisco for an Australian tour. The first leg of her trip was fine, but when she tried to change planes in Honolulu, Pan Am refused to allow her to board. She was stranded in Hawaii for two days before Fitzgerald could find another flight. When she sued, the case was dismissed.
That was why black families would scrimp and save to buy a car. Once you had wheels, you had some control over your life, particularly if you had a Green Book in the glove compartment, listing establishments that welcomed black customers.
Some, like Manhattan’s Brooks Brothers and The Pierre hotel, were white-run, integrated havens. Most, however, were small, independent black-owned businesses, eager to serve the community. Their inclusion provided a double benefit, not only steering readers toward safe stores and lodgings but supporting African-American entrepreneurship.
In researching her book, subtitled “The Green Book and the Roots of Black Travel in America,” Taylor drove across the country, visiting as many of Green’s original recommendations as possible. Some were still standing, like the Rossonian Hotel in Denver (photo below). So was Dooky Chase’s restaurant in New Orleans, where President Obama was chastised for trying to add hot sauce to the gumbo.
And as the author traveled, Taylor rediscovered a forgotten map of African-American aspiration, achievement, and entertainment.
There was the “black borscht belt” of vacation spots in northwestern Michigan, where the Idlewild resort spread over 3,000 acres, and featured rising stars like the Four Tops. Shearer Cottage in Oak Bluffs in Martha’s Vineyard began hosting prominent black guests in 1903.
There was even Murray’s Dude Ranch, in Victorville, California, a fully integrated vacation spot that catered to celebrities from white gossip columnist Hedda Hopper to African-American icon Lena Horne. Heavyweight champ Joe Louis trained there, and two all-black Westerns, “Harlem Rides the Range” and “The Bronze Buckaroo,” used the ranch for sets.
At first, the Green Book depended on establishments for its information, which could be unreliable. Harlem’s 101 Ranch, listed as a cabaret in the 1938 edition, was actually a sex club where jazzman "Pops" Foster remembered, you saw "women goin' with women, men goin' with men, people on the floor gettin' their thing." It was raided and shut down the following year.
But as his guide grew bigger, Green made sure it became more professional, too.
Articles detailed the tourist attractions of cities like San Francisco while advising readers they might find it easier obtaining accommodations in Oakland, across the bay. Advertisements pushed expensive African art and cruises to the Caribbean. Listings expanded to include coffee shops and colleges.
Green died in 1960. For a while, his widow and his staff continued publishing the guide. But as integration finally, slowly spread there seemed less and less need for his guide. In 1965, the year after the Civil Rights Act outlawed discrimination, the Green Book didn’t publish at all. The 1966-67 edition was its last.
In the end, it was a casualty of the future its readers had dreamed of.
Although racists could, and still do, deny service to African-Americans, by the late ’60s, blacks could legally demand equal treatment in any establishment they visited. And once they could, they did, walking into restaurants, night clubs, hotels, and resorts that had previously turned them away.
It was good news for everybody except the African-American businesses that had once catered to the community.
Although blacks now rushed to patronize white establishments, whites were not as eager to patronize black ones. Restaurants closed. Clubs shuttered. Once-famous hotels, like New Orleans’ Marsalis Mansion – run by Wynton’s grandfather – became flophouses. And a vital, vibrant part of American history was razed then forgotten.
The lie of separate but equal had been exposed. But, sadly, some of what made that subculture not just separate and inherently unequal, but unique, was gone.
“We got what we wanted,” observed African-American activist Georgia Ayers, as she watched another historic black hotel shut down in Miami. “But we lost what we had.”

2024
“Hey, uh-uh! Where the hell are you going with my car keys?” Detective Mike Lowrey warns his estranged son Armando Aretas one night.
“I won't crash the Porsche.” Armando ignored his father and stepped out, ready for plans in South Beach.
_____
After dancing from that pole once more, you turned around and see Armando standing between the overhead lights of this venue.
“Here to bother me without your father?” You questioned this moment while facing Armando.
“No drops. I missed you.” Aretas reveals slightly accented English and holds your waist through shadows.
“Yeah right.” You just keep playing along by this point.
“Seriously, though. I have the Porsche waiting outside.” Aretas glanced down and smiled against your painted lips.
“Let's get out of here.” You kissed him for the first time in quite a while and left this place behind.
_______
Cruising through the neon lights of Miami, Armando pulled that top down and parked somewhere just to spend time with you this evening.
“Why own the nightclub?” Aretas questioned.
“Someone will always party, so I might as well invest.” You shrugged.
“Makes sense.” Just as Armando continued speaking, his phone buzzed. ”Shit!”
“What's wrong?” You offered genuine concern right now.
“Mike is calling. We gotta go.” Armando held your cheek and started the engine once more.
_____
“I didn't crash. See?” Armando defended himself while Mike stood on the porch at home.
“Don't take the car without asking me first. It's still my ride.” Mike crossed both arms.
“You never said that.” Aretas squinted for a moment.
“New rule, then.” Mike put his foot down. “I'm not losing my favorite car over your joyrides, man.”
You smirked from the passenger seat and just waited.
“Fine.” Armando nodded without offering more debates.
“Oh, damn! You brought her to the house?” Mike immediately recognized your presence.
“Yeah.” Armando quickly glanced over his shoulder.
“Is she naked? I don't see fabric near my passenger seat.” Mike grits his teeth.
“Bikini with shorts.” Armando told the truth about your outfit.
“Listen to me.” Mike then revealed this final warning. “Take her home right now before I beat your ass.”
“You lost twice.” Raising two fingers, Aretas laughed for once, but still headed back to the car.
“Don't be fresh, go!” Mike arched his brow, but you kept giggling with Armando.
Oh, Lord. Armando might keep her around. Mike thought, finally wanting to sleep as the Porsche revved away.

Shore Power Market
Market Overview
The Global "Shore Power Market" is expected to grow at a CAGR of 13.1% during the forecasting period (2021-2028).
Shore power saves the consumption of fuel that would otherwise be used to power vessels while in port and eliminates the air pollution associated with the consumption of that fuel. A port city may have anti-idling laws that require ships to use shore power. The use of shore power may facilitate the ship's engines and generators and reduce noise. Shore power or shore supply provides shoreside electrical power to a vessel at berth while its main and auxiliary engines are shut down. While the term denotes shore instead of off-shore, it is sometimes applied to aircraft or land-based vehicles (such as campers, heavy trucks with sleeping compartments, and tour buses), which may plug into grid power when parked for idle reduction.

Market Dynamics
An increasing number of cruise liners in the shipping industry is the major driving factor for the market's growth. Since 2009, significant expenditures have installed shore power infrastructure at the marine terminals. The Port of Oakland's estimated project cost is approximately USD 60 million; the Port and private sector combined estimated cost for just the shoreside infrastructure is about USD70 million. Adding to this, Royal Caribbean invested USD250 million in the newly launched Terminal A at Port Miami to increase port capacity, and cruise lines have started to build out terminals.
Furthermore, 23.63 million passengers and 4.5 million crew disembarked cruise ships and visited during the 2014-2015 cruise year, spending USD2.45 billion and USD302.2 million, respectively, to the Caribbean and Latin American destinations. In 2015, Cruise line expenditures, including port fees and taxes, payments to local tour operators, and payments to local businesses for supplies and services, were worth USD400.8 million.
However, high costs for installation and maintenance are the key restraint hampering the market growth globally.
Market Segmentation
By Connection, the shore power market is divided into retrofit and new installation. The global Shore Power market size by YYY was worth USD YY million in 2018 and is estimated to reach USD YY million by 2026, at a CAGR of YY% during the forecast period. A retrofit is an act of adding a component or accessory to something that did not have it when manufactured. Companies are offering a single interface for complete port electrification and grid integration that can be installed for new building projects or retrofit. ABB shore power connectors retrofitted on Three Holland America ships. ABB is playing a pivotal role in Holland American Line's goals of embracing new technologies to minimize the environmental impact of its fleet further. The premium cruise line will retrofit three of its vessels with ABB's innovative shore power connectors that allow the ships to draw on land-based electrical grids when docked in port.
By Component, the shore power market is segmented into cable & accessories, frequency converter, transformer, switchgear, and other components. Other components include auxiliary power systems and voltage stabilizers. The global Shore Power market size by YYY was worth USD YY million in 2018 and is estimated to reach USD YY million by 2026, at a CAGR of YY% during the forecast period.
The shore power market is classified into shipside and shore side by installation. The global Shore Power market size by YYY was worth USD YY million in 2018 and is estimated to reach USD YY million by 2026, at a CAGR of YY% during the forecast period.
Geographical Analysis
The Asia Pacific shore power market was worth USD YY million in 2018 and is estimated to reach USD YY million by 2026, at a CAGR of YY% during the forecast period. The Asia Pacific is expected to grab a significant market share in the forecast period due to the large largest seaports, particularly in countries like India and China. Due to the heavy traffic in seaports, the installation and retrofit of shore power are expected to increase in the forecast period. For instance, India has 12 major ports Kandla, Mumbai, JNPT, Marmugao, New Mangalore, Cochin, Chennai, Ennore, V O Chidambarnar, Visakhapatnam, Paradip, and Kolkata, which handle approximately 61 % of the country's total cargo traffic.
Adding to this, the Government of India is also encouraging and supporting Green Port projects to reduce air and noise pollution in the country. For instance, The Indian Ministry of Shipping issued the Draft of its proposed Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) exploring shore power supply to ships in Indian ports under the national "Green Port" project to reduce air and noise pollution on important ports across India.

With You - Part 1
Sometime in the early morning hours of December 31st, our first year together officially began. It was nothing extravagant, no flowers, no romantic dinner. It was just in the intimacy of sitting alone while the the city slept that it began.
Our first full day together was surprisingly casual, not to be surprised given the circumstances of the time but it was a day I cherish very much. Running errands, such as picking and dropping of your momma, a workout session along the Embarcadero, a meet up with a friend for dinner, and watching the city glisten from a new viewpoint as we brought the new year together in the calm and quiet of your living room, giving each other a smile as we looked out the window to your neighborhood.
January
The first day of the new year was a bittersweet one. You took me to Chinatown, where you got me some hong kong milk tea, and some deliciously flaky egg tarts. And then drove me across the the bridge to show me Sausalito for the first time. Here I fell in love with the small town vibes, and serenity that came from viewing SF from the distance as the windows turned to gold while the sun set. But that night would be a lonely one as I had to say good bye to you a and drove down the darkness of the 5.
The 2nd adventure of the year took us to the legendary Bill Graham to see none other than your favorite trance DJ, with BJ and the rest of Norcal Anaho. A blurry night where we broke our necks you broke your neck as you complained about it for the rest of the weekend. Had some wonderful family time with Anaho as we did a photoshoot at an abandoned bunker, had dinner at my fave place in SF, San Tung, chilled at Amanda’s house, explored new areas of the city, and had one of the more memorable nights at Travelodge with our first wine and snack night.
February
“Are we celebrating Valentine’s?” “No not really.”
Was basically the gist of one of our conversations. But that weekend after Valentine’s had us back together, me dressed up a little nicer than usual, and you glowing in your pretty gray dress, and coat, as we spent our first “non valentine’s day celebration” in the middle of downtown. A night where we explored LA’s downtown night life together for the first time, where I pointed to to you the Denny’s I went to after prom, a geography lesson on LA’s layout on top of a rotating bar. Then home to celebrate with some sparkly you had given me as part of my gift. Our cravings the next day took us to Koreatown for KBBQ, with Evelyn and Steven, the nicer side of Melrose for some disappointing milk tea from Alfred’s Teahouse, and a spontaneous double date with Jazz and Danny to some pizza diner in Hollywood. A little detour to Little Tokyo, and to find the instagram hotspot with the red and blue lights and our weekend came to an end as we waved good bye to each other as your bus pulled away taking a sleepy you back home.
March
After a commitment that was made at Snowglobe more than a year before, this was the month we traveled across the country to finally walk the fabled grounds of Ultra. The whole month was full of kandi making and anxious anticipation of what would it be like to finally be at the festival both of us had only been able to experience from livestreams, and youtube videos. Finally on the third weekend of March we saw each other at the airport with Ben and Amanda cockblocking my hug to you. Waking up at 5 in the morning that day felt like a distant memory as I had gone from LA to Austin to holding your hand in Miami after a 12+ hour trip. That night as it is the usual for Anaho to do after a long time apart had everyone talking loud, challenging each other to drink more shots, and of course the night wasn’t complete without a few people throwing up. The next three days had us jumping up and down to Tiesto, vibing to Kaskade, getting wild for kayzo and being had us in awe at the reunion of SHM, and every night had us wandering through downtown Miami as we raced everyone else back to the airbnb to see who would be able to shower first. Dressing up as Jasmine and Aladdin, having matching outfits with your silver top and my gray camo for day two, munching on some expensive festival food, getting lost in the crowd of internationals while you held my hand, downed at least three red bulls a day, and I couldn’t have asked for a better rave bae or better way to experience Ultra.
April
A few weeks back you had asked me if I wanted to go with you to the the AKPsi formal, not wanting to miss out on this I excitedly said yes, that weekend in April I flew in late in the afternoon where you drove us down to the outdoor shopping mall in San Jose, after not being able to go to the rooftop bar you initially wanted to take me to, we ended up at a different bar, you seemed flustered at that but it’s okay because we still had a great time, especially after a seafood dinner, and some ice cream. A boba pitstop later and our second road trip began we made our way to our hotel in the good ol’ Central Valley. Two hours of your Merced playlist, and singing our hearts out to some throwback songs, and before we knew it we were checking in and drinking wine at our surprisingly nice hotel, too bad for the squeaky bed though. The next day we found ourselves in Merced, a coffee shop and a creepy antique store later and we found ourselves at the banquet hall where I started to meet some of your Merced fam. We helped out for a while and realized how much it felt like college, helping out and setting up for a banquet, and it brought back good memories. After saying bye to my new friends we headed out to explore the bustling metropolis that Merced is, you were the boss and tour guide here as you showed me around telling me stories of where you would go hang out, where you used to run, your old apartments and every now and then I would interject telling you “HEY I’VE BEEN HERE TOO!” It was great hearing your stories from college and made it easier to imagine 2011-2015 Tiff and all the wonderful memories you made there. After a Tacobell snack at the park we went on to your little’s house to prepare for the banquet. The rest of night consisted of me admiring you in your little black dress, and hearing other people rave about how good you looked as well, seeing you with your line, and your fraternity and people saying, “I’ve heard so much about you!” Was heartwarming as we ate and danced for a bit at the banquet. However the real party would be afterwards and it felt like I was transported back to my college days as we stripped down to comfier and more fitting house party clothes. The pregame began, and the warmth from the alcohol went hand in hand with the warm night in Merced. It was amusing to see how our night unraveled as we snuck in the back of the house to avoid bouncers into a dark and humid room with a bunch of dabs grinding and dudes being bros. Then as soon as the alcohol ran out, we jumped over to the next party, until the college drama started and we ended walking out and back through the neighborhood to our pregame spot. A few shots later, and a few lines as well and everyone was having a great time with both new and old friends. After a the cops showing up, and people knocking out or being too drunk the party started to dwindle down and we found ourselves on the couch you and your hot pocket, and me in tears about how much I love you. After waking up and getting ready a quick photoshoot with my film camera and we found ourselves on campus for your little’s grad shoot. Some quick thai food after and a couple of good byes to both your littles we were back on the road to the bay. Our April weekend coming to an end up on the hills of Berkeley, with the sunset and some “vegan pizza.”
May
The first half of May, you found yourself halfway across the world, exploring the old continent. Your two week cruise vacation across Europe would bring you to Denmark, Norway, Germany, Estonia, Russia, Finland, and Sweden. You explored new and old cities, and we would be in touch sparingly as you were in and out of wifi connection, we would webcam at odd hours, but either way it made me happy you were back in Europe because you speak so fondly of it. And despite not having a good connection you still managed to send me constant videos, pics, and updates while I was sleeping or in class, and it made me excited to be able to webcam you even if it was for like 5 minutes. Once you were back in the States, it was a struggle for a couple days for you to make it past 8 without knocking out whenever we would webcam.
The second half of the month was filled with many adventures as we saw each other not once but twice! In a weekend full of firsts I can’t help but highlight how amazing it was to experience camping with you in such a picturesque part of California, the visuals in your car and just melting in your seat as the music took us to a different dimension, and then the journey through middle earth that we undertook while on shrooms, even though we probably only walked like 100 yards in real life, dying at Jared’s exaggeration of “Car… Car… Car…” and Steven’s “IT’S A MILLION MILES AWAY.” And then our intimate bath experience under a sky full of stars and the waves crashing beneath us was truly a magical moment. Showering naked in public and smelling the earthy body wash and looking over the darkness is something I will hold onto because it was such a unique experience. And coming back to cuddle in the tent until it was time for us to leave and do another mini road trip. A drive that took us to the little underwhelming McWay Falls, Sharkfin Cove, Carmel, Santa Cruz there’s nothing better than driving back to SF jamming out to Christian music. This time our good bye didn’t feel too sad because we would be seeing each other the weekend after.
The last weekend of May was wild as all of Norcal came down to “surprise” Ben for his birthday. Even though the surprise failed it was still a great way to show our best friend how much we appreciate him as we got lit to wine, met and fed a few friendly floofs, and rented out an Airbnb to continue the party for the rest of the weekend. Four full days of you and I was feeling quite spoiled. My favorite memories from that weekend were exploring the south side of OC, and playing spikeball as the sunset, all the cuddle sessions of sleeping for four nights together, letting you drive Aria down to our airbnb as I DJ’ed, and feeling like our time together was never going to end, playing table tennis, and basketball with you , and having the opportunity to share so many different plates of food with you everywhere we went.
June started off great as well as I saw you for the third consecutive week, this time you decided to pull of an Illenium like I had done last year and had decided to surprise me to go see my favorite dubstep DJ, MaRLo, at the almost legendary Exchange. We decided to surprise the trance fam squad after getting some dranks up somewhere in the LA skyline and then going back to the car so you could change and we could pregame a little more, and I remember that while Char spazzed out over you, some people weren’t that happy to see you *cough.* And even though our time this weekend was short lived I am grateful that you were so down to do something like that for me.
Our first official summer get together was coming up to see you! My first time at Temple, and to top it off having a table with bottle service, seeing Jazz get litty like we hadn’t seen, and then singing Cinema with Steven as lit you got the better of me and we ended up having an argument outside El Faro. A little funny now that I think about it, but like every other argument before this it always ends on a positive note with one of us seeing the mistake in their reasoning, apologizing or compromising and learning from our mistakes, a walk through the hood, and we found ourselves back at Evelyn’s where you accidentally stayed the night by knocking out on the couch after stuffing our faces on El Faro burritos. I remember the day after was a really warm one as we wandered the Castro to Dolores park a little high on brownies. Thinking how great it was to experience one of SF’s unique festivals with you and some matcha ice cream from your favorite spot. The day after was probably one of favorites too as we walked around the main parade but had to end the day early because Bryan had to leave early. But this didn’t stop us from coming back to the celebrations, except this time we had some fizzy Rosé to accompany us as we walked back to Civic Center where the main event was taking place. Taking in the atmosphere of such an event and having you there to talk about which one us would make it to 90K first made my flight down a happy one, as I reminisced about you, the cherry cooler we bought later on, our time in the backseat next to the park, and the delicious lasagna.
