Lyrics
I feel a hot wind on my shoulder And the touch of a world that is older Turn the switch and check the number Leave it on when in bed I slumber I hear the rhythms of the music I buy the product and never use it I hear the talking of the dj Can't understand just what does he say?
I'm on a mexican radio I'm on a mexican radio
I dial it in and tune the station They talk about the u.s. inflation I understand just a little No comprende--it's a riddle
I'm on a mexican radio I'm on a mexican radio
I wish I was in Tiajuana Eating barbequed iguana I'd take requests on the telephone I'm on a wavelength far from home I feel a hot wind on my shoulder I dial it in from south of the border I hear the talking of the dj Can't understand just what does he say?
Radio radio…

Anyone else ever suddenly remember a song from their past, listen to it, and immediately get hit with a nostalgia wave that almost cures your adulthood? Like I listened to Mexican Radio by Wall Of Voodoo and I remembered how I used to love listening to this song in the car with my dad on the way to school and how I would always imagine myself as a Courage The Cowardly Dog type of old lady living in the Mexican Desert with my dog and my garden and my 24/7 radio broadcast.
I’d love to hear anyone else’s song that makes them feel that way and the imagination it gave y’all, so feel free to rb or comment it.
