The original P3 and FES has multi-weapons (minus non-Evoker firearms and knives) for male protagonists but lacks control of the other party members, so that's why the former feature is added to compensate this.

Honestly, I'm glad that any media starting from Portable limits Makoto's weapons to just shortsword since it would be tough to import all of his battle models to PSP and adding more poses for his HD models for any platforms in Reload. And since Portable and Reload have the ability to control party members (and even Metis who doesn't have this until the upcoming DLC for the latter), what was the point?

hiii! i actually really love metis! you dont see me talk about her very often though since she serves a very specific narrative purpose. i really really love shadow characters that are in anything but a squarely antagonistic role and i love that metis is essentially aigis's raw emotions given form. genuinely such an interesting concept behind her. i wish more people would look at her irrational behavior and perceive it the way its intended instead of writing her off...

im not exactly Excited about reload's answer dlc for a variety of reasons but it will be nice to see her again with a fully hd model. i hope people appreciate her...i shld draw her when i can draw again
