I think my boss really likes me and values my opinion, we had our 1:1 at a local cafe and discussed a lot of possible staff changes with a firing that’s happened and my role in training and supporting staff retention.
But she closed it by telling me a story about how she used to get called a “metiche” a spanish word she explained as meaning “nosy” and how she saw that in me too.
She laughed at how much of the circumstances of the agency I already knew but like kind of warned me to be careful who I talk to and for what purposes? Like “it’s fine to be metiche as long as you have the best interests of people at heart”
I told her that I try my best to just not mince words when people are doing bad work and I think my bluntness might be slowly getting me in trouble lol

there is no word so vocally satisfying to call someone who’s fucking nosy than the word in spanish, which is “metiche”

Rebelcaptain Headcanons
Cassián teaches Jyn various expressions and phrases in Spanish, as well as pochismos. Her favorites are "metiche" (nosy), "ponte trucha" (be smart/aware), "órale" (jeez), "pendejo" (moron) and "con safos" (with safety, best of luck).
Jyn wasn't sure what "con safos" meant at first, but Cassián explained that it literally translated to "with safety"
Cassián knows all about navigating as well as some self defense
He's really good friends with someone named Kes Dameron, who teaches Jyn some more slang in Spanish (in Guatemalan and Cuban Spanish)
While Cassián calls the trash can el basurero, Kes refers to it as el sabacón
