changes i’d make to ii season one

-first of all, i’d make the episodes longer so it has the opportunity to flesh out the characters and their personalities. About the same runtime we’re currently getting for season two

-more scenes with character development!! As well as scenes hinting at upcoming scenes

-completely change Paper’s arc. It’s extremely ablist and, though they were all young at the time of making it, highly misinformed. Instead of having “evil Paper” appear out of nowhere, make it established that he’s an already existing alter that functions as a perpetrator (alter that lashes out at those to try and protect the host). Also for god’s sake please give “evil Paper” a real name

-though a lot of jokes in the first season can be rather chuckle-worthy, a lot of them were just.. tasteless, like the “Paintbrush gender” jokes made throughout the whole first season, leading into the second

-change up Balloon’s arc completely as well. It’s tasteless and bland and his redemption arc comes out of nowhere. You can still have him act as a jerk trying to win in any way he can, but also give him some redeeming qualities and moments that can hint at the fact that he’s trying to keep up an act. And also give his relationships with his teammates (specifically OJ) a little more grounding so it hits harder when he’s eliminated.

-THE “METARD” JOKE. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH.

This past Saturday was one of the best days that I’ve had in a long while. My friend who I met online, but have known since high school got the chance to come over to my parent’s house (where I am currently staying). He got to stay the entire night, and the plan was to have a slumber party, as we usually do very hang out. But it turned into us staying up literally the entire night.

At first it was sort of weird, because I have not had a lot of friends over my parent’s house as an “adult” and he had never met any of my family before. But my family couldn’t stop talking about how friendly and nice he was after leaving. Once he got used to my parents, things got less weird. My mother cooked us tons of food, ordered pizza (which we heated up like gremlins at 3am), and even made us popcorn for movie night. My friend had brought over gluten free desserts for me too.

It started with us just talking and him helping me set up my new gaming computer (thank goodness for befriending an IT guy). While he did that I watched some of what I refer to as “our anime” because it always ends up being turned on when we’re together, and the main characters are literally us. Once my computer was set he told me to “choose whatever you want to do, it’s your house”. I wanted a movie night, so we settled on Spiral, which I’ve been dying to see.

Afterwards he gave me literally an hour massage (thank goodness for befriending an ex-masseuse as well). It was supposed to be half an hour, but ended up turning into an hour because we delved into deep conversations. It had been over a year since we saw each other person, and to just have such a normal night with one of my best friends meant EVERYTHING.

The best part didn’t even come until after the massage! We were going to game, but had to wait for some updates / downloads to finish, so we reverted to doing what we used to do YEARS ago. Which was search meme and cringe videos on youtube. We fell into this hole, where it was like we were children again because we were having so much fun that we COMPLETELY lost track of time! Next thing we knew it was 6am. But during that timespan I think I spent more time laughing than anything, my abs literally hurt the next day from how much we were laughing. We had to keep pausing my tv and at one point became so into it that we were analyzing each video together.

It all sounds so stupid. No one else will get this. But this is for future me to look back on when I go through this. Remember this night. Remember that feeling. Hold onto it. Think of how much you dumb smiled and laughed senseless.
