TBT ... This was one of the happiest days of my life. After many hours of research and doubts I could get the work ever finished to get my doctorate, I challenged my mom, who was enrolled in the same program with me, to finish her dissertation too so we could create a memorable event. A mother and daughter graduating together with doctorate degrees. . Who does that? Who graduates with a doctorate degree with their mom? Just me. . This was amazing for us both, and our family was so proud to witness us graduate together. . For me it was a pinnicle event culminating in a rewarding and welcomed relationship between my mom and I after many years of growing pains and challenges. . The truth is that if you really desire a relationship with your parents you have to pray about it and release all control, judgment, fear, and resentment. . My mom and I got more than a doctorate in Metaphysical Science that day, we earned a Doctorate in letting go of the past to welcome the love of the present and the reward of a brighter future. . "To enlighten, or enlight, means 'to know.' Enlightenment means 'to know yourself' and who you really are. Nonduality (non duality) is a metaphysic concept that is taught by many spiritual teachers. Many people have benefited by books such as Power of Now, Be Here Now, Power versus Force, and other such books that teach people how to focus their attention in the present moment. Spirit is not limited by duality, but the experience of the truth about non duality is rare indeed for the human condition. Most people are quite caught up in the duality of things, never realizing that there might be another perspective to meditate from or see things from.

To be here in the now and truly attain the power that is in the now, one must first realize that what some call spirit and others call God is not outside of you. It is here now in you and always was in every present moment that has ever gone by. I encourage you to meditate on nonduality and see what it really means.

The mind will not be able to follow at a certain point because the paradoxes that are present everywhere in the world of nonduality (non duality) simply cause the mind to short circuit. The human mind must stop trying to figure it all out at some point and simply be satisfied with being in the here and now and leaving it at that. So simply enlighten yourself by discovering your true nature, and leave the rest alone. Don't worry about figuring out the mysteries of the universe. Christine Breese is the founder of University of Metaphysical Sciences and Gaia Sagrada Eco-Community and Retreat Center. She has studied a variety of world philosophies. She is the author of Reclaiming The Shadow Self, the soon to be released Choose Yourself: The Power of One to Change the World, she is the director of the TV series Spirit Talk, and she facilitates healing ceremony retreats with Ecuadorian shamans at Gaia Sagrada Retreat Center in Ecuador. She has a Doctor of Divinity Degree in Metaphysical Sciences, and a Ph.D. in Metaphysical Counseling.

Dr. Breese has overseen the development of a wide and diverse curriculum.
