I took this selfie for myself, which I do sometimes bc it’s rare I see a mirror these days lol ... I took it as I took a deep breath from a long and fulfilling week. Busy, trying and tiring in the best of ways, finally! So much so that it pushed away the bullshit into the background. . As I held the camera before my face, laying back exhausted I was pleasantly surprised that I had a smile on my face. 😳 a bit shocked even. Like that of Mona Lisa, but solo Mia 😂 ... a hidden smile, and I held the camera for a while staring at myself and holding my face still before I snapped a photo. It is the most content I’ve seen myself in a very long time. This is important bc it’s been so insane that I don’t even know how to feel lately. When people say “how are you?” Im good but genuinely have no damn clue how I feel, it’s indescribable. So this selfie is significant to me (and really, they rarely are) and probably to only me. This is the most peaceful I’ve seen myself in a long long time. And that felt good to see, so good!!! So even though this is for me, I share in hopes that someone may learn something from my experience.
