#messy family stuffs... tomoko is not an angel

I need to talk about stuff here more ...

So I'm gonna share some higashikata family dynamics I've been thinking about!

So yeah it was pretty unexpected to for Josuke (11) to get an older sibling (16). Suddenly this outsider has all of this attention and Josuke feels like he's getting left by the wayside

I do think there was a period where he resented Ryoma because of it. Child stuff.. not really grasping the reality of things. He'd get in big trouble for acting out while Ryoma never did anything wrong. so it felt like they were getting preferential treatment

And to a point they kind of were! ryohei and Tomoko were handling Ryo with the utmost sensitivity. Mostly Tomoko. She worried about Ryoma a lot ... For valid reasons but she went overboard.

Messy stuff... Tomoko is trying her best but she screws up with Josuke

Ryoma Is in the middle of this trying to deal the best she can but feeling terrible bc Tomoko n Josuke are fighting bc of her

Ryoma wants to get along w Josuke but he was giving her the cold shoulder

Meanwhile Ryohei is doing to sort things out with everyone. He's mostly on Tomoko's side but he recognizes when she's being unfair

Eventually things cool down

Tomoko and Josuke make up after a big blow up fight and she apologizes

Peace is restored to the land... umm and Josuke and Ryoma Start getting along! Develop a really sweet relationship. He never hated her in particular it was just the circumstances around it making him a meanie. And also he was 11

despite being the younger sibling by 5 years Josuke sometimes felt like the older one, having 2 stand up for ryo
