yourusername Been reading so many opinions about my own private life and I thought that the best thing I can do is address this because I'd never imagine I could dissapoint so many people just for loving someone.

I've been working really hard making a name in this industry because I love motorsports, not for any other reasons. And I wasn't aware of being a role model until now, which is something I'm still getting used to it. But overall, who I choose to date has nothing to do with my job.

Dating the amazing man that Carlos is was just a perk of working in F1, and even though I'm technically a wag now (it's really weird to worded 😨) I will keep working hard in F1 and other categories for the love I have for this industry.

And eyy, since that's out of the way, i'll get into the main part of my rambling, which is my (new) assumption!

This particular dialog is from the 'voice message from arlecchino' (if i remember correctly):

It'd be troublesome should the fatui try to sue the agency when the perpetrator is nothing that we're looking for."

Well, since arlecchino started the whole voice message by talking about cupid's employer (plus it's already been specified there), we can deduce that she's talking about boss. With cupid willing to 'betray' (can it be called betray when there's no trust between them?) boss, arlecchino has acquired many infos about him and all sorts of stuff from cupid. Maybe, arlecchino is trying to confirm whether it was boss who did the crimes (the ghost killing, i think) or not?

"I'm sure that you've been dying to see him pay his dues. All of us are."

Although rin's theory does actually fit well with the words "It'd be troublesome should the fatui try to sue the agency when the perpetrator is nothing that we're looking for.", but with how arlecchino's been talking about cupid wanting to get 'revenge' to the one who wronged her, i feel like the culprit would be boss. Or... maybe somebody entirely different but still related with boss? Since arlecchino did say something along the line of:

Like if it's a very fast-paced action scene, short replies work better, while with some other scenes, something long allows for a better exploration of the muses' feelings. Still, my minimum is usually 2/3 para because I like to describe things, but I can also write much longer things. Basically, I think flexibility is best! I prefer something short with a lot of things for me to reply to, than something super long but with only one line of dialogue for me to reply to.

So yeah, I'm not really able to make much commentary out of his post besides that bc I'm missing context and/or Ron's going on some short, insane vague-ramble just spouting out salty insults bc the minor he wanted to harass blocked him MONTHS AGO. Don't know who I'm kidding, bc it's obvious the latter is the case, but it could very well also be the former, so who knows.

So yeah as I said, I don't even post here anymore, so why are you calling me out of all people? I mean, I'm glad no other person really has to deal with your BS, but you really that salty, sweetie? You support that buried-in-the-ground troll group who's desperately trying to crawl out of their grave, but can't handle me standing up for myself? Y/l/n, are you waiting for someone to pick you up?' One of the students who just got out of school asked, you smile at her and nodded 'Ahh yes,'

She chuckles and pets the seat next to her on the bench, you smile at her gently and sit 'Who are you waiting for Miss.' She suddenly gasped 'Is it your boyfriend?!' You blushed at her 'Oh my gosh, No I don't have a boyfriend yet, It's just my close friend.' She began teasing you and you giggle 'Are you teasing your teacher?' She laughs wholeheartedly 'No! It's just shocking...? I think. You are so pretty and kind but don't have a boyfriend...' You kindly grin and laugh along with her.

You both exchanged words more after and finally, she left. You sat there still waiting for your friend to pick you up, A ring on your phone interrupted your train of thought and you proceeded to answer the call 'Is your work finished? What time do you want me to pick you up?' You stood up, in disbelief 'Phillip Walter Foden, are fucking kidding me? I waited for you for almost an hour now! Where the fuck are you?!'

Just then a black car pulled over in front of you, the window rolled down and you see Phil with his hand propped against the shotgun seat headrest 'Waiting for someone there, gorgeous?' You scoffed at him picked up the notebooks you had just placed beside you and got inside 'Do you know how long I've waited for you?' You exclaim putting your bag at the back 'I don't know...You tell me.' Smacking him on the forearm, you cross your arms over your chest and stare upfront 'Alright, alright. I'm sorry I just got caught up in something. I promised I'll make it up to you.'

'Yeah, yeah. Whatever.' He sniggers at you, restarts the engine, and drove off to your apartment. It wasn't long until you both arrived at the basement parking lot and you got out 'Thanks for driving me...' He snickers 'You sure you don't want me to come along so I can have a cup of tea or something?' You rolled your eyes 'Yeah, no. You got to practice right? I'll be fine.' He hums and then waves leaving the parking lot

You sighed 'That jerk, When did he get so handsome? Fuck!' You cussed got shy and burn all of sudden. You hurried inside the lobby and onto the elevator.

But just as soon as you got inside your house, your phone dinged quietly and you immediately check once you settle your stuff by the island top. It was a message from Phil. You clicked on the notification and read the text, it says; 'I'll come by again at 6 to pick you up, make sure you wore the dress I got you..'

'What dress--'

Your phone is almost out of your grip because of the loud continuous ring of the bell, you put your phone down and jog to the door seeing a medium-sized box laid before you, wrapped in a beautiful white ribbon.

You closed the door, sit on the couch with one leg over another, and open the lid, the pure white dress is neatly folded with a piece of paper on top of it, you open the paper reading it in a slow murmur; 'I know you will look good in this.' Is all it says, you blushed just by thinking that it was your friend who did all of this! Your close childhood friend whom you adore and cherish this whole time!

You got the dress, presenting it in front of you as you examined it. It's just a simple and plain slip dress. It was pure white coming along with a set of diamond pearl necklaces and ear piercings. But it was beautiful and the material was soft. It was just your size.

You smile, still adoring the dress checking up on the clock above you to see that it's currently 4:30 which means you got around two hours and thirty minutes left before Phil came to pick you up.

You put the dress back inside the box and get up to go to the kitchen and have a small portion of food to refill your emptied stomach.

You did some chores around the house, cleaning it, and watching short cartoons and now it was finally time for you to get ready. You washed up, do your usual hair routine, bath a long and warm shower before you got out, already laying the dress on the bed with a few stuff beside it. You sat on your make up table with a bathrobe on, doing facials, hair drying, curling your hair, and doing some makeup.

After you put on your dress, decorate yourself with the necklace and the earrings. you get your eggshell white-colored shoulder bag, stuff your necessities in it, and slip on your black pearly point stiletto.

The outcome looks weren't what you expected. It was beyond that. You look...Beautiful. At least now you know you still got the look.

You sat by your bed waiting because Phil said, he will come by to pick you up himself. It wasn't until five minutes later, the front was knocked. You faked a cough adjusting your looks a bit and you went to the door to open it 'Hey--' He suddenly was out of words. You look...Gorgeous. The moment your eyes met, he almost couldn't believe it.

'Phil..?' You said once more realizing that he is been spacing out for too long and giggled 'Ahh right, let's go.' He gently held your hand in his waiting as you locked the door and left with him 'Where are you taking me exactly.' He swarmed his head at you with a smile 'You know...Just a friendly date.' He nods while grinning. A small hope in you shattered hearing him say that... And here you were, thinking that this was a romantic couple's date. But hey this isn't the first time you were wrong.

You both got in his car, and he started the engine right away, 'Are we going to get some food first?' You teased with a hint of a joke at the end, he laughs at you and smiled 'Of course, I always have to make sure to prioritize your stomach first.' You hit his arm with a frown on your face 'Come on, I was so hungry 'kay!'

He laughs looking at you with a smirk 'Really? I bet you still had something before I came to pick you up?' You scoffed looking upfront 'So what if I did?' His laughter erupts louder than before 'So you did.'

You shake your head at him and a few short conversations was made after that before he abruptly stops the car 'We're here.' You wanted to get out of the car but Phil stops you 'Wait, lemme.' He rushed to your side of the door and opens it for you instead 'M'lady.' He bows taking your hand in his and throws his car key to the chauffeur sending him a wink.

You were stunned for a moment seeing the exterior design of the restaurant. It looks expensive, almost too expensive for your liking. The interior is twice the look, you didn't want to touch anything scared that you might scratch it. Phil laugh at your reaction 'This may be an exaggeration by why do you bring me here Phillip?! Just how much do you--' He shushed you down with a chuckle, you glared at his direction 'Are you kidding me? Don't laugh I'm serious.' He laughs again and pets your back 'Just enjoy the night alright?' He let the waitress assist you to your private dining room and you sat on the chair--carefully.

It was now just the two of you because he had asked the workers to leave you both alone 'Now care to explain? Why. Out of nowhere...You brought me here?' He smiles 'Can I not? I just feel like it. Let me spoil you!' You grunted at his replies 'I'm fine with anything but this! This is too much..' Your voice trailed off, he took your hand in his and let a small smile to assure you 'Just please.' You don't know why he even acts like this but you just got along with it. Not that you mind honestly.

Minutes later, he calls for the same waitress to get your orders, you don't exactly know what to choose so you let Phil choose it for you and he did. After that, you both talk and catch up with each other. You ask him about his training and he asked you about your work. Everything was fine and the food came after some time.

You both ate, talked, and joked around until you finally decide to leave, Phil checked his phone to see that it was now 7:54 p.m. 'Want to take a breather together?' You smile and nods.

You two got out of the restaurant and the chauffeur seem like he was done with his job. You two get inside the car not before you scold Phil and told him to give the chauffeur his tip and he did.

It was a ten minutes trip before Phil stops the car and got with you following suit. He wrapped his arm around your shoulder just like he used to do back in the days and heave a long sigh 'What now?' You took a glance at him and hummed 'It's nothing. Just nervous.' You intertwine his hand in yours that was around your shoulder 'Wanna take a seat there?' You asked he nodded pulling you along with him and sat. It was a moment of silence, a comfortable silence. None of you talk, just secretly enjoying each other's ardency.

Phil took another long sigh, and suddenly took your hand in his grabbing it into a firm grip, 'Look Y/n, I gotta tell you something..' You turn to him and tilted your head aside 'Okay I'm all ears.' Another groan left his lip, his eyes were on yours, those twinkles never stop shining every time you came into contact with it. His face is serious but frightened too

'I know we've been friends for so long, so long that I remember. I adore you as a friend whom I can turn and share my stories with. All my doubts, and insecurities, you've heard it all. You were there for me during my lowest, you get me back up and soothe me on my bad days. Your warm hugs warm me in a way I couldn't explain. Your smile, your contagious laugh that I never get tired of hearing of. I, myself don't know when this emotion bloomed. It affects me so greatly I could't described it. It might sound weird that you hear this from your close friend but Y/n..I like you. I love you, so much that it kills me every waking day.'

You were so out of words, was this true? Are there any hidden cameras anywhere? This isn't a joke, right? Someone who you likes is confessing their love to you, right? You weren't dreaming because it hurts now when you pinch your cheek 'Phil, I...'

Suddenly it rains, and out of nowhere, it started to rain laboriously, in just those seconds, the two of you almost soak under the tree. Phil hurriedly took off his blazer putting it over your head and grab you by your forearm to force you to get up 'Come on, let's go!' But you stay. A smile slowly crept on your face 'Phil yes!' He was stunned and confused 'What...'

You stood up unexpectedly, and the drenched blazer falls off to your shoulder, your smile grew bigger 'Come!' You pulled Phil to the pavement in the middle of the park and laugh 'This is the best day of my life.' You jumped up and down multiple times, still laughing. You didn't care if you look stupid and childish but this is your way of showing how happy you are with today.

Phil was confused, 'Y/n come on, you'll get sick! Get in the car!' You pulled him closer to you, hugging him, liking the way his warmth basked you in the heavy rain 'I like you too Phillip.' He froze, getting pleased that you had just reciprocated your feelings for him. He was getting joyful, tightening the hug and swaying your body, left and right 'This is too, the best day of my life!' You two were giggling having your best time in the rain, in each other's arms.

I'm such a fan of Susie's analysis of Gintama, especially when the series ended lol. I didn't expect you'll share one for GinTsu and wow you are able to point things that I haven't realized yet as someone who ships GinTsu alot lol.

In overall of Gintama's last arc, I agree that it's time for sorachi to wrap up his story, no one can tell when he will end it that time so good point to share that he was like, trying to tell us that something is going on with Tsukuyo. A version of her who already accepted her feelings for Gintoki after LPA. She is not afraid anymore to go to the surface for him and save his ass, thanks Kyubei. You also have similar analysis to one japanese blog I read that they concluded that gintama isn't going to end the same shounen format for randomly pairing up couples so he have to take care of this prior and he used Love Potion Arc for that. And added that the series gets announcement from Giga to Mobile App update ending well eventually we get there lolol but yes, Sorachi is trying to tell a message. It's not that as gintsu fan I am demanding for them to be canon but I mean, he developed their relationship so, I mean we need to know something more after lol. Sacchan's blessings at the end is also a big sign for me, for someone who is delusional for almost the entire series, and how Tsukuyo looks forward to tell Gintoki on what he missed for 2 years, (like a patient wife) yeah, you nailed it and I totally agree on how it happened one after another.

Also, I realized, he thrown a lot of sex jokes more than I thought. WTH LMAOo I appreciate this so much and thank you for sharing your thoughts

Thoughts about gintsu in the Silver Soul arc

The other day I saw someone talk about how Sorachi neglected gintsu after the Love Potion arc so here's my two cents (spoilers ahead):

Short answer: Yesn't

Long answer:

The argument was that Sorachi just dropped the ball on Gintoki and Tsukuyo's relationship that he started writing since… her introduction. And I'm not gonna pretend that LP wasn't the last arc that gave them a ton of development. But I think we've to look at it within the series' context.

Love Potion was the 62th arc of Gintama, spanning chapters 492-496. It was the second to last arc before Shogun Assassination, that began in lesson 502. This meant that it was something Sorachi felt he'd to do before he reached the point of no return. In other words, before the end, he'd to develop the relationship between Gintoki and Tsukuyo and give them some sort of resolution.

Said resolution can be interpreted in two ways. Essentially, something could happen in the future, or nothing would ever happen between them. Nada. But that's not the point of this. OR IS IT??

After that, Sorachi had to address major plot points throughout the next three arcs. Gintoki and Takasugi's fight, the Shogun's death, the Shinsengumi disbanding, Utsuro's rise as the final villain, Kagura and Kamui's showdown, the reunion of the Joui 4...

All of these things were crucial to the plot, but took a long time to unfold. Finally, when Tsukuyo reappeared in Silver Soul arc, a lot of time had passed (lesson 620, over a hundred chapters later). And the first thing Sorachi chooses to do is to have her help Gintoki and make a sex joke. Ok, nothing new in this manga, I guess.

But what was surprising was this one heavy panel that people wouldn't stop talking about at the time, because it really left no room for interpretation. Yes, it was Hinowa who said it, but, again, this was written by someone, and that someone didn't intend this to be a light tease.

Sorachi had no need to do so if he'd already closed the door on future possibilities between them and we already knew she'd feelings for him. And yet, he dedicated several pages to showing the struggle she'd with leaving Yoshiwara to go help Gintoki and the rest of her friends in Kabukicho.

In LP she realized she was in love, but she still felt embarrassed and stupid because of it, and Kyuubei had to tell her hey, it's ok. Throughout the series, although Tsukuyo loves Gintoki, she often needed reasons to be with him. Sometimes it was because of her duty as Yoshiwara's guardian, sometimes because she's with her girl friends, sometimes even Hinowa created these reasons. But this chapter addresses how dumb it is. In LP arc, Gintoki was around just because.

In other words, at this point, Sorachi continued to develop their relationship, even after that arc. But did something else happen?

Well, after a while, when Gintoki was resting peacefully on his futon, Sorachi has Tsukuyo conveniently trip over a damn bottle containing alcohol right next to the guy, all during a dialogue explaining how in times of power outages and such, the population increases. So the joke here was that they would fuck and Gintoki would get her pregnant like heyooo? (ch. 628).

But that would be it? Their last moment being a high-caliber sex joke before the end of the manga?

The thing is... the manga didn't end there lol it lasted about 70 more chapters. Here Sorachi once again needed to address some loose plot ends before finishing the series that took priority, like Gintoki and Takasugi's bond and what would happen with Shouyo/Utsuro.

We might think that there're no loose ends between Gintoki and Tsukuyo anymore. We already know she's in love with him, so why bother?

HOWEVER Sorachi once again decided to hit us with something (and quite sappy this time, in a good way)...

When they meet again, there's a flashback in which Gintoki leaves and Hinowa asks Tsukuyo why she didn't follow him (ch. 686). She replies that she decided to stay because yes, she has a duty, but the main reason was to tell him what had happened in his absence... LITERALLY THERE WAS NO NEED FOR IT TO BE SO CHEESY, but then again Sorachi wanted us to know what Tsukuyo had gone through and he wanted Gintoki to hear it too.

This is another way to show how real and deep her love is and how she understands what Gintoki is going through on a fundamental level. Sorachi wanted to show how Tsukuyo knows that Gintoki needed to embark on his journey alone, otherwise he wouldn't have disbanded the Yorozuya. She knows that it's important to him that someone be there and update him on what has happened, so that he feels connected to everyone again. And Sorachi chose that someone to be Tsukuyo, making explicit how she's an anchor for Gintoki here.

This time it wasn't because she needed a big reason or because she felt stupid, it was her own decision, which is huuuge for her and what could happen.

So now that she knows for sure he's in Edo, she's going to help him with everyone else. There's also the idea of endings and new beginnings that Tsukuyo talks about, which could also apply to her dynamic with Gintoki, but that's a talk for another day.

The last thing to mention is when they're at the terminal and Sacchan teases Tsukuyo about the man she loves... You know, the woman who's been stalking Gintoki since the beginning... And it's really dumb, because everyone is saying these heartfelt lines, talking about how they want to reach him, how they want to help him... and Sorachi, instead of having Sacchan tell a dirty joke about herself, like she always does, has her say something about how Tsukuyo should fuck Gintoki, or vice versa, does it matter at this point? (ch. 699).

And it's not just a sex joke as before. Contrary to the sentiment expressed in lesson 620, here Tsukuyo intends to go on living and see Gintoki again, which is something said by herself.

From what I can tell, Sorachi wanted to keep giving their relationship some form of development right up until the end. Even after committing to an open ending, the fact that he kept their dynamic in mind, even with limited interactions, just to push it forward in some way is honestly kinda sweet, ngl.

Tsukuyo isn't a character Sorachi uses a lot, probably because she's not as available as the rest of the cast living in or near Kabukicho. And yet, almost every time she appears, he develops the bond that Gintoki has with her. You can tell that some scenes, heck, even some lines, are quite deliberate to be read romantically.

If anything, we could say that the real problem was that we didn't get much from Gintoki in the last stretch, which I think could be attributed to both the in-universe context of the series and the time constraints and difficulties Sorachi faced in finishing Gintama.

(Sorry this ended up being so much longer that I intended lol.)

TL;DR: It's not that he forgot, Sorachi just had bigger priorities. In any case, he still threw in scenes JUST to show how he didn't forget and develop their relationship a little more.

This might trigger people; you wearing their clothes at first might remind them of their ex. OK WAIT LEMME EXPLAIN. It’s not that they miss their ex or that they are sad about not having this with their ex. It’s that… some of them probably have had a conversation about sharing clothes with their ex, and you wearing their clothes will trigger that memory and conversation. They probably saw their ex and thought that person would be their partner for life, and ‘probably would wear their clothes forever’.

But then things happen, and there you are, obviously better and obviously their person. So it’s like… the memories are replaced with this bright future that they want with you. They will have a further realization that what they had with their ex would not be the thing that can lead them to their 10 of Pentacles, a further realization that their future is looking different than what they previously imagined, and that this is okay since they know they are moving to a better place emotionally.

So yeah although it may not feel that good to think that they might remember the ex in whatever form lmao, remember that your main cards are Knight of Cups and 8 of Wands.

Some of you are currently in a relationship with someone who is not good for you, and if you are reading this wanting to know about that person, forget it sistur and brother bcs I’m not talking about them. This message for Pile 3 is specifically about long-term partner.

They may not expect that you will wear their clothes, or want/love to wear their clothes, especially for those of you whose partners are introverts. So they will feel pleasantly surprised, but it will be lowkey, they may not show it to you or talk about it with you. I think you wearing their clothes will make them rethink something about themselves. Maybe they have a low self-esteem or self-worth (some of them may not show it and may look fine on the outside), and you wearing their clothes may make them think “oh, so they like me that much” something like this. Maybe besides wearing their clothes, you will also tell them that you like how it smells and that you use it when you miss them, so it will make them realize that they are valuable. I hope that makes sense. I’m not saying they are a depressed and sad soul, not necessarily. It’s just that, some people devalue their presence in other people’s lives, or feel like they don’t make much impact on other people’s lives. Maybe your person is kinda like that.

If this person has extra money, they are probably the type of partner who buys clothes for themselves but they are actually buying those for you. It’s like, for example, they know you will want to wear their hoodie, so they buy one with that expectation in mind. They may just wear it once before you ask, and they are okay with you taking that hoodie since they are buying it for you anyway. It’s like that.

I just got the image of someone who tries to act calm about it but they sometimes can’t stop talking about it, pretending to fix it on your body, or asking you about it. They may like to remember those moments when they see you wearing their clothes. They may start a conversation about it, like “hey have you seen my shirt? The one you wore the other day”, or “yeaa and you got tomato sauce on my shirt”, something similar to this. They may also think about what kind of clothes you like wearing, the colors, the size, the fabric etc and they will remember it. If you guys are around the same size, they may like to wear your clothes as well. They may also like you wearing their clothes outside, so other people can see it, this is them low key showing off.

This is a specific message for those of you with partners who like to sew, they may also make clothes or alter clothes for you. For example, if they have a shirt that they no longer wear, they may turn it into something more fashionable for you. Like that. Or if their pants are too long for you, they may bend down and fold the bottom hem for you. Or if the sleeves of their shirt are too long, they'll fold them for you. If you want to wear their cap they'll fix your hair a bit and put it on for you. 3 of Pentacles, helpful actions. You will feel like they low key encourage you to wear their clothes.

They may also like to ask for your opinions before buying some of their clothes or think about you when they are buying them, since you like to wear them so much it can be considered a shared belonging that requires opinions from both parties lol. This is especially true for those of you who exchange clothes; when you guys buy an item, you guys actually buy for both.

THE WAY IT JUST FALLS OUT OF HER MOUTH I'M WHEEZING PLS-

I'm not sure how long I'd been out when I finally wake up to the feeling of someone's hand gripping mine tightly. Light slowly begins to filter through my eyelids and the world starts to register in my head as I awaken, and I take a deep breath to try and fill my lungs with the still air that fills the room. I don't know which soldier is holding my hand, since none of us do that, and it makes me try to open my eyes. It's also bright, I finally realize, something that is certainly uncommon in the barracks. Did I fall asleep outside again watching the stars? I've been doing that a lot recently, I think. But that still doesn't explain the hand, nor the lack of the sound of my general screaming my name. It's certainly late enough, if the position of the sun is anything to go by.

I finally force my eyes open with a quiet groan, and vaguely feel the hand tighten around mine as my head turns towards the owner. Vision blurry, I don't recognize who it is, but it's definitely not a solider. And that's when I remember; I'm home. I came back home. And by the dark color that the blob of a person is wearing, it's either Enoch, which is very unlikely, or the headmistress. Blinking a few times to try and clear the sleep in my vision, I groan again as a pounding headache finally hits me like a freight train. The person quickly leans in, and their free hand gently presses my chest back down as they whisper "Don't try to get up just yet, darling." Oh yes, that's Miss Peregrine. I whine in response, but do as I'm asked and relax back onto the pillows again.

After a moment of silence, I ask quietly "What happened?" Miss Peregrine replies with "You fainted during the reset. You've been out for..." she trails off and I hear the clicking of metal on metal along with the soft sound of a ticking clock as she checks her pocket watch and finishes "six hours and seven minutes," a second later. I hum in response and sigh heavily; my hand remains in hers through the entire ordeal, and it's a welcome weight to help ground me in the moment while I attempt to remember the previous night. I can't recall much other than flashes, but I do remember the planes and the bomb and the panic attack. I finally realize that the person who carried me inside just before I blacked out must have been Miss Peregrine, and for some reason it makes me blush lightly thinking about being in her arms like that.

When I finally have enough of that, I sigh again and, my vision fully having returned to me, turn my head to face the headmistress, who looks to be staring at me, only turning her head away quickly when I make eye contact. I smile teasingly and mumble "It's rude to stare, Miss P," and the woman rolls her eyes, something I notice she only does around me. Otherwise she's much too proper to do something so childish, so it feels like a sort of privilege being able to experience it, even if it's happening because she's annoyed at me. "Are you feeling well enough to stand? I'm afraid dinner is in....ten minutes, and I've yet to prepare the table." I smile and nod, already beginning to push myself up with her quick assistance, and soon I'm on my feet. Miss Peregrine keeps one of her delicate hands on the small of my back as we finally leave my room, and I subconsciously arch into the touch.

When we arrive at the kitchen, the woman leaves my side, effectively removing her hand from my skin and, to my embarrassment, I actually whimper a little at the loss. The sound makes her chuckle quietly and give me a little smirk, one which I return with a pout as I try to deny it. Miss P then turns, still looking smug, and begins to gather plates, calling out "Could you help me set the table, please?" over her shoulder. I shake myself out and grumble an agreement before doing so, taking the china dishes from her hands and moving back and forth between the dining room and kitchen, setting each one in it's place, until there are thirteen perfectly arranged table settings, one for each of us plus Miss Peregrine. Once done, I brush my hands clean from invisible dust and look over my work proudly, returning to the kitchen and announcing "Done!" to the headmistress, who seems to just be finishing something.

The ravenette turns her face to me with a small smile and thanks, before saying "Wonderful. Now, go get ready to eat, you look as if you've just been raised from the dead." I scoff in mock offense, jaw dropping and hand going to my chest. "How dare thou!" I exclaim, acting hurt, but Miss Peregrine just gives me A Look and I wither, reducing down to a pout and a murmured "I'll be right back." She nods curtly and I hear a tiny, satisfied noise leave her throat as I exit the kitchen, heading to my room to get changed and cleaned up.

Questions come rapid fire for the first few minutes of dinner, but I luckily don't have to answer most of them once Miss Peregrine calms the children down. I answer the basic ones, if I'm feeling better and such, but I tend to shy away from the reason that I passed out, not comfortable talking about such things with literal kids present. Miss P seems to understand as she gives me a nod when I glance at her, mouthing "Thank you" from beside her. Halfway through, everything calms back down, and the rest of the meal goes smoothly, talks of our upcoming walk, what the others were doing outside before being called in, all that. I stay silent, just observing and listening, but a smile remains on my lips the entire time. Now that I'm older, no longer a child like I used to be, I feel less like their sister and more mature; maybe this is how Miss Peregrine feels.

It's not like I feel like their keeper or protector, I could never do what she does, but it kinda feels as though I've upgraded from sibling to parental figure. I am the oldest one here besides Miss P, after all, so it would make sense why I feel like this. And while it's a loss to not connect with them like I used to, it's already rewarding in and of it's own being someone that they look up to. Miss Peregrine is really lucky to have these kids, I think as I eat, and glance over at said woman. Her eyes shine with contained happiness as she watches over her charges, a barely visible smile ghosting over her features all the while. She loves them, I know that, and faintly remember the few times she gave me that look. It wasn't often, seeing as I was almost always the troublemaker, but when it did happen it felt like fireworks exploding in my chest.

Through my time in the army, I had a lot of time to think. And think I did, about anything and everything under the sun. But my thoughts still fell back to the old headmistress quite often, and I've come to terms with the fact that I definitely had (and probably still do) a crush on the woman. But who wouldn't? She's strong, powerful, confident. She's what every woman wants to be and she doesn't even have to try. Of course someone like me would have a natural pull to her, but it's not like anything could ever come of it anyway, so I just try to keep it down to a minimum. If I can turn the schoolyard infatuation into simple friendly admiration, then everything will be alright. So I focus on my food, finishing it up a few minutes later and returning my attention to the rest of the table once I realize I've been staring.

"Y/n!" I skid to a halt in the grass, just out of reach of a running Claire, and spin to face the person who called my name. I can hear Claire laughing happily when she realizes that she's going to get away from my tickle wrath, and I glare playfully at her. I then call back "Yeah Miss P?" The headmistress skips over the nickname and says "Could I speak to you please?" I nod, mumbling an "Be right back" to Claire, who pouts before going to find someone else to play with. With that, I follow the headmistress back inside, where she leads me into the study, closing the doors behind her. Gesturing to a seat, the woman sits across from it, quite close to me. When I'm settled, she finally asks "I hope you don't mind, but...I'm curious." I cock an eyebrow in confusion, waiting for her to continue. "Why did you pass out last night? Did something happen?"

My breath catches in my throat for a moment and I realize that there's no getting out of this. There's no way I'm going to deny Miss Peregrine an answer, so I nod stiffly. With a deep breath, I begin answering; "Well, as you know, I've been in the war this whole time while I was gone. And I've had to go through a lot of stuff, but I think that the hardest was definitely the bombings. I've seen homes demolished, families torn apart, parents taken from their children and vice versa." I pause, swallowing roughly to clear my throat. "And last night, even though I knew it wasn't going to hit, I think that seeing the bomb just brought me back to all of that. Remembering all the people that I couldn't save, all the lives that were lost. I just....I feel like I could have done so much more.

"I know that it isn't my fault that I couldn't help everyone, but seeing that thing just coming at you, at the people I love....reminded me of that. I don't know what I would have done if I had actually lost you, or--or anyone that night. So even when I logically knew you would stop it, I couldn't stop my head from throwing me back to the day it happened." I stop, unable to continue as my voice cracks and tears blur my vision. I don't like revisiting my past, especially now that I'm finally out of the army, and doing it in front of someone makes me feel weak, useless. But I'm quickly engulfed in a pair of warm arms that I instinctively fold into, and Miss P mumbles "Alright, alright. It's okay, I'll never let that happen. I will never let any of you get hurt." I nod as best as I can and curl further into the woman's embrace, trying to get as close as I can to her body in the process.

"I still regret leaving, you know," I eventually whisper into Miss Peregrine's neck where I had buried my face, hands holding her blazer. Faintly, her breath hitches and her posture stiffens, but still she hums and murmurs "I know you do. I regret letting you go. But you're a stubborn girl and even then I knew I couldn't stop you." The comment makes me chuckle wetly, knowing that she's totally right. "Still am," I mumble against her and she nods. We stay like that for a while, just mumbling quiet stories to each other, and even once we've separated she still tells me of the things that she and the children have been up to these last eleven years. It's comforting in a way, knowing that life still went on even though I wasn't here, while I was out there helping people. Or...trying to help people, at least.

When it's finally time to part ways, Miss Peregrine leaves me with "I'll always be right here if you want to talk about it, y/n. You have that, right?" before telling me to go back outside for a while. And as I walk away from her, words still ringing in my head, I realize that I'm failing miserably at keeping this little crush down to a minimum.
