still thinking about my cadash being a former noble hunter and how being a noble hunter would affect how mescha sees the dynamic between vivienne and bastien. doesn't matter how genuine the relationship is. her opinion on him was immediately tainted the moment mescha learned how they got together. no, vivienne doesn't need an angry, massively projecting bodyguard with a magic hole in her hand that can turn people into ash scowling and huffing at every slight mention of bastien, but now she's got one anyways. the only thing mescha regrets when bastien dies is that she can't muster up any sympathy or grief for him, so any platitudes she could give vivienne would be empty. the best she can do is tell vivienne he was lucky to have been loved by her.
