Also drew this forever ago, idk why I let it sit in my drafts so long. This is Draenirn (Drae for short) and Meryll. Drae is the Royal Wizard, the youngest in history, and had a bit of a mishap while experimenting with a solution to help stop the increase in dying crops. Not quite the fertility solution he was looking for, but after another failed rounds of experiments he ends up accidentally granting himself the ability to get knocked up. Drae may be one of the most accomplished wizards of the age, but he's also a major slut, so not knowing about his body's new abilities he goes and gets himself knocked up almost immediately.

Meryll is a castle guard, has had the biggest crush on Drae since the day he first saw him. Doesn't even think that Drae knows he exists. He's an easy going guy and well-liked amongst the rest of the guards, who upon finding out about Merylls crush, feel a little bad about fucking Drae and slowly more and more of them start turning down Drae's flirtations. This, unfortunately, coincides with when Drae gets knocked up/begins to show, so Drae thinks it's because they think he's a freak for getting magically knocked up.

When the castle finds out about Drae's pregnancy and the experiment gone wrong, Merylls crush intensifies, and all the guards start helping him try to shoot his shot. Because they all keep switching shifts with him so he can get a chance to talk to Drae, they both end up becoming friends. Drae, thinking the rest of the guards won't touch him with a 10 ft pole now, really appreciates how kind and non judgemental Meryll is about the whole thing.

Eventually, Drae tries to seduce Meryll, which leads to Merylls brain malfunctioning, which leads to Drae misunderstanding and immediately starts crying because he thinks no one wants to touch him. Meryll clears everything up, apologizing for indirectly being the cause of the guards all avoiding Drae, even though he would have never put them up to that. In fact, most of the guards were even more attracted to Drae than they were before, constantly (good-naturedly) threatening Meryll that if he didn't make his move soon, they would.

They end up happily in love, Meryll is the perfect dad when Drae's triplets are born, and is happy to knock up Drae again over and over as much as he wants (and maybe eventually he gets knocked up a few times as well, would be a shame to accidentally invent something amazing and not share it with the world right?) .

the fact that we as a society have the muppets and they are not everywhere in our cultural consciousness is appalling. why aren't the muppets hosting the oscars. why aren't the muppets commentating the olympics. why aren't the muppets coming to a theatre near me every year with a new adaptation of a classic novel. genuinely what are we doing.

I think Vash, Wolfwood, Milly, and Meryl deserve some lovely nights relishing in their little found family between the chaos of their lives. I did this piece for the Eggshells Trigun zine… I really enjoyed depicting trans joy and the comfort of finding people who love you and know you for exactly who you are. Even if you cheat at cards.

This appeared to me in a vision while discussing vashwood dynamics with my friend months ago, after finishing the 98 series… it took way too long… I first did it it in b&w values then redid the colouring entirely and I kept wanting it to be perfect, not getting out of the lines at pixel value etc but gave up

Anyways, really happy with how they look
