well, the organization's name is right--they truly are fools. why else would dottore think it was in any way a good idea to return to sumeru? (never mind that he should have no idea that kunikuzushi knows what he did. it's easier, better, more cathartic to think that he's simply a fool.)

nahida had tried to keep him in the dark about this, and admittedly, kunikuzushi can kind of see why. after all, he did immediately race off after hearing it, flying at top speed to the nearest of the doctor's old hideouts and tearing through the place, finding it still abandoned, and moving on to the next one. the air crackles in his wake, raging winds and static threatening to kick up storms all over sumeru.

and, finally, he finds a location that isn't totally empty.

he passes the rank-and-file soldiers and mechanical guards with hardly a second thought--what threat can they possibly pose to him? they're not what he's here for.

"DOTTOREEEEE!!!" there's a snarl in his voice, growing louder as the title stretches on. "GET OUT HERE AND FACE ME!"

Hikari watches the moon and night stars. She always did enjoy watching the moon and feeling how peaceful the night feels. She knew though it won't be long, especially with what lurks in the dark. She suddenly felt someone nearby, before looking down, and sees who it is.

Its a boy. Who she figures doesn't even notice him, but seems to be enjoying the night too.

On a slow peaceful night, in a spooky graveyard a young boy in headphones sits watching the night. He doesn't seem to be thinking much or have a care in the world.

as a small heads up! i am very soon (as in, today probably) going to be starting to build a verse with @/merrymelodymuses that some people may not necessarily want to see, as it involves erasing some of dottore's canon crimes. the basis of this verse is that the supposed "truth" of the tatarasuna incident was actually not the truth, but something nahida made up to get scaramouche away from dottore.

if this is something you don't want to see, please blacklist the tag "kunikuzushi; false history", which is what i'll be using for this verse.

i would also like to establish that i am someone who relates very heavily to kunikuzushi and found great comfort in my idea of dottore & scaramouche's relationship prior to inversion of genesis. i acknowledge canon for what it is, but this is my self-indulgent "what-if".

if you actually want to get involved in this verse, please reach out to me, as it's something i'd want to plot a bit.

scaramouche snorts, a little smirk on his face. that was pathetic. how is this guy ranked second? "some nobody soldier gave me this. i guess they didn't know i don't care for sweets? whatever, take it or don't."

this jerk... kunikuzushi stops mid-air and looks around, but he can't quite pinpoint where the doctor's voice is coming from. maybe it's his anger clouding his senses, or--more likely, he thinks--dottore has a system set up to project his voice from multiple directions, specifically for situations like these. (or possibly just for ease of communication in this huge lab, but he's not really thinking of practicality right now.)

"better brash than a fucking COWARD." behind him, a pyroslinger takes aim; he doesn't even deign to look at the fool as he sends them flying back with a burst of electro. instead, his brow furrows. hang on. dottore mentioned vengeance. does he know...?

no, he couldn't. surely dottore thinks kunikuzushi is just mad about being left behind. (which, to be fair, he is also mad about that.)

"are you a harbinger or not? get out here and face me!"

"Did you truly think things would be so easy? Did you come here seeking vengeance, fool." A voice boomed, the hideout was a mess at this point, however the doctor was nowhere to be seen. Of course he'd not show himself. "You're bold to return seeking me once more, but boldness is often the precursor to foolishness. Of course that brash arrogance likely lead you to this point to begin with...." Dottore's voice taunted. He wasn't showing but he still taunted and taunted. Though the faults The Doctor listed were not exclusive to the doll, as Dottore's own arrogance saw him stay rather than flee, after all a discarded puppet couldn't truly pose a threat.
