Remember that love takes on many different forms. You don't have to be dating or married to love or be loved. Tell your bestie how much he/she means to you, pay for a stranger's coffee, give an extra big hug to your child, parents or siblings. Love isn't found in roses or chocolates... it comes from within and will never run out. Swimming, and swimming, and swimming and swimming... I can't believe this mermaid will be swimming this Saturday. 😬🖤 I'm honestly a bit nervous about it... but also excited too. I've missed the water. It will be nice to get back in for a swim, even despite the cold. . The swimming will happen in a place I've never visited before, so I have no clue what to expect. I hope this new lake has thick seaweed. I love seaweed/ lake foliage(?). There are so many different varieties and each is unique and beautiful in its own way. Some (like the one in this video) seem to pop up in the middle of nowhere to create a mini patch of green. So cool!! 😊 Fish love lake foliage too, so that's an extra bonus. 🐠 . I'm totally rambling on right now. FOCUS PHANTOM!! But yeah, swimming soon. Happy but nervous. Also SUPER happy about the post @thegtpulse created about me! Swimmin' with the fishes 🖤 Sometime the fish we find in Lake Michigan are pretty chill, but you always get those few that like to "run and hide...." figuratively speaking, of course. 🙃 . This awesome location in Grand Traverse Bay was one we swam at last year. This year, we got the okay to go back and swim there again. The Lincoln Log pier thing is one of the most unique things I've seen in Lake Michigan... so neat 🖤 . But my brain is getting distracted here (sick as a dogfish!). What's that mysterious thing swimming in Lake Leelanau, I wonder? 🤔 . You can see this full underwater mermaid video this coming Friday. 🖤 Dad and I are both SO GLAD that some of the smaller lakes are warm enough to swim in now. We actually took a friend out yesterday to explore Lime Lake too and may be swimming again today! . Since I got my @sony underwater action camera last summer, dad and I have developed a new appreciation for the underwater world. We've both noticed that EVERY lake we swim in (and every section of each lake) is SO unique. No two lakes look the same. The underwater foliage and landscape is ALWAYS different. Some have thick, sturdy plant life, whereas others have long and fragile plants. Some lakes are covered in small stones... some have boulders. Some lakes are sandy and clear. Others are murky and mysterious. . From the plant life to the animal life, from the landscape to the coloration... each lake in Northern Michigan is unique and beautiful in it's own way. . We are both extremely excited to continue exploring the world beneath the water's surface.
