i've been thinking of getting into country music, what artists/albums/songs would you recommend?

So I’m just gonna give you artists because I don’t know what kind of songs you like (slow, fast, etc)

Okay so my favorite artists are Chris Young, Eric Church, Dierks Bentley (his newest album, Black, is hella good), Maren Morris, Dustin Lynch, and Brooke Eden. Those people are relatively new (minus Dierks and Eric and sorta Chris). Sam Hunt is chill but he’s not super country so he might be easy to get into to start off. Also Hunter Hayes and Dan + Shay (dan + shay is hands down my favorite group). Carrie Underwood is an obvious good choice too.

For older country (late 90s-2010ish): If you like hockey and you know Matt Duchene, check out Brad Paisley because that’s who he named his dog after. Lady Antebellum and Rascal Flatts are classic go-to groups. Shania Twain, Martina McBride, Faith Hill, Sara Evans, Billy Currington (check out Must Be Doing Something Right), Tim McGraw, older Jason Aldean, and Kenny Chesney.

Some classic but still relevant guys: Alan Jackson and George Strait (you know All My Exes Live In Texas? That’s King George)

My all time favorite song (bc it has meaning to me) is from 1969 by Merle Haggard called Silver Wings.
