I have a question! I kind of went codediving today because (I'm nosy and) I wanted to know how the outcome of some situations changed depending on my choices, and I noticed that it's impossible to save all 7 kids and get most of the Merdel patients stable at the same time. Was that on purpose? At first I was really bummed out by not being able to do both, but I also think it's an interesting story choice (Ilya did warn MC they couldn't save everyone after all ç.ç).

It is indeed done with intention! I try in some ways to break away from the standard CoG/HG formula in order to drive the game's darker tone home, this being one of the premier examples. AMR has always been intended to be a story first and a game second, and so a perfect run being hard-coded against feels (to me) more immersive than Ilya's verbal warning that you can't save everyone, no matter how much effort you give to the cause.

I know it's a bit of a risky choice, but I personally find the immersion to be worth it!

Wed, Bed, Behead - Cervato, Zafir, Mercer

Wed: Cervato, like…why wouldn’t he wed his girlfriend? He would do anything for her plus enjoy all the sexy times they have in store for each other. Plus, he considers her to be the most beautiful woman he has laid his eyes on. (Which he may or not be biased)

Bed: Zafir, she is shrouded in mystery to him but she seems like a great person to be around once you get past her shell. And well, she is very attractive so that never hurts. (He also thinks she is a closet pervert *shakes head in disappointment at Mandel*)

Behead: Mercer, Mandel has definitely gotten over the fact that Mercer was one of Cer’s former flames and he has experimented in the past when it comes to men. BUT, that doesn’t save his pal Mercy from the headsman’s axe. (Sorry Mercer, RIP Merdel)

I'm not sure which particular asks you're referring to, but AMR is largely linear in its current iteration! Paths (many of them) will come at the start of Book 3, but currently what forks there are in AMR include, to the best of my memory:

In the bandit encampment path, choosing to retreat or charge in will result in different and exclusive scenes and re-merge in the Calinger day-off scene.

During the plague, succeeding in the stat check during Merdel Cave will unlock additional scenes wherein the White Fangs discover the truth behind the moonvein plague.

Choosing to break into the Old Cathedral by force results in a slight divergence from the otherwise similar outcomes of the other choices.

Your choice of Arcadian division during the rebirth chapter will result in different exclusive scenes if you do not choose to escape from Arcadia (which is also a path in itself).

The choice of whether to use Zephyros or Spirit Gate during the Eli rescue arc will also result in different exclusive scenes until the reunion with Eli.

Off the top of my head, this is what the other asks may have been referring to!

Hey hello, sorry if I disturb you I just finished reading a mage reborn book that I found beautiful it took me a lot I spent a whole day playing with it.I couldn't help but notice that under the title of the first chapters there is book one, does this mean that you intend to write a trilogy? in case it will be in the first row to buy all the books.

This is indeed planned to be the first book in a trilogy (I don't believe I've said this on tumblr yet, actually, so if this is news to you, well...surprise!) It was originally planned to be a duology, but the addition of the new pre-resurrection arc would have made for a pretty awkward length difference between Book I and Book II.

The demo as it currently stands includes roughly 95% of Book I (pending final additions to the Silcur/Merdel arc, as well as some final adjustments), as well as a bit of Book II. The first book will end with the exoneration scene, and all told it looks slated to be roughly 150k words long in total! Book II will likely be around the same length, and Book III is currently planned to be roughly twice as big as the first two, due to vastly varying paths (though each path will probably feel shorter than the first two books - hence the length difference concerns!)
