How would you feel if Claude and Mercedes actually had a support chain together?

HIII sorry for the very very late response but i actually really love this ask!! i would love that, i think! not my first choice for a new support, but definitely a welcome one :)

i'd really enjoy if they leaned into a sibling-like dynamic. Claude's implied to be the youngest brother, and Mercie is a big sister at heart, so i think it'd be nice to see him learning to lean on her a bit, and her indulging him like in her Felix supports. i think it'd also be a good chance to reveal a bit about Claude's own (half?)siblings, what their relationship was like, etc.

i also this it'd be interesting to see their differing relationships with faith would play out, considering how callous Claude can be and despite her gentleness, Mercie's perfectly capable of reading him and calling him out. (side not that i don't believe that claude is atheist/agnostic, i think he just follows a faith more common in Almyra, although evidently he'd given up on relying on that at some point)

if they had a paired ending (if they passed B-support at all) i'd definitely prefer a platonic one!

that being said, i highly recommend @/indigowallbreaker's take on this concept (which i love!!) and also this adorable short fic! i think they both get across the dynamic i hope for very well! thank u again for the ask & sorry for being slow!! ily anon <3
