This small gadget is crucial for the vintage craft’s operation. Back in the twentieth cent, crafts were liquid powered (like me, #DutchDoubleclutch ). The energy containing liquid was pumped in metered fashion into chemical-reaction chambers where, when compressed along with atmospheric gas and exposed to artificial lightening, a violent reaction ensued causing expansion (the release of that energy), forcing driving members downward, acting upon the arms of a multi-armed spinner which was coupled to a multi-ratio driven-spinner, in turn connected to more spinners, couplers, directional-twist changers and finally to two more spinners coated with congealed tree-sap with a coefficient of friction sufficient to put torque down on a terrestrial surface. More 600 lore from Dutch Doubleclutch, Motoring Investments' testpilot: Behind the craft’s interior panels - these rocker levers operate the master view-portal switch. ‘Switch’ in this case does not mean ‘electrical’ but ‘hydraulic’ – a hydraulic switch. Thankfully, even for a 48-year-old 600SWB frame, General Products’* subsidiary Daimler-Benz still produces new units. However, being a limited-production craft, there is no economy of scale—the switch costs 5000 standard credit$ in this solar system.  But at least you can get one—thank you M-B! * It is common knowledge that these hulls are clear to the human eye however, this one’s been coated with a pigmented film so we can see it to work on it. As company scribe, test pilot and IPA taster for the king, I, Dutch Doubleclutch have been conscribed to test drive our client’s 600SWB craft, the goal being to shake ‘er down determining a baseline, pre-restoration. This morning, our Teutonic maestro Alfonso discovered her decelerator-fluid-floats had become detached (those following this saga know the craft’s PO had disabled her repair nanites prompting misadventure). Repaired with parts sourced from Babook, distributor for Pierson’s Puppeteers’ General Products Co.* in this solar system, I finally got to drive her to the ancestral home, Villa Zee Zaw, in ‘The Table’, CA. These fine tubes run through every part of the craft, circulating nanites which autonomously repair damage from space-debris or meteoroids. Another form of nanite, interfaced with the biological control entity (driver), can, given enough matter/energy, accomplish any whim (currently your scribe, Dutch Doubleclutch, is meditating on a new sleep-chamber.
