As part of World Suicide Prevention Day, I thought I would be transparent with my own story. It's no secret that I struggle with my mental health, but not many people in my life know that I had two suicide attempts (once in my early 20s and again when I was suffering from postpartum depression). And while the second attempt wasn't as horrific as the first, they were both clear indicators that I needed to seek help before it was too late. And while I am in a much better place in my life now, I still acknowledge that I am a work in progress but I am also worthy of living and that I am loved, despite how difficult and chaotic life can be at times.
