Ouhh okay so both Dr Norrington/paperwaite and Dr Bosco are running tests and doing experiments to try and get him back to "normal", but given that Norrington and momma b have been unsuccessful in separating him and paperwaite they aren't getting their hopes up on reversing or at least alleviating Max's condition.
