Places To Buy Cheap Menswear in Singapore
This men fashion site - MenswearSingapore.com, has some of the best menswear resources in the context of Singapore.
Cheap Menswear Singapore
Singapore ranked world’s most expensive city to live in for the third consecutive year (according to Todays Online). The report however highlighted that despite the high cost in living, we managed to maintain an affordable price in terms of our daily home groceries. I figure this will be a good chance to share my knowledge and experience in the area of fashion. More specifically, as the title of this blog indicated, where to buy cheap and affordable men’s clothing in Singapore. Well, cheap and affordable are both subjective words. In this case, when I say cheap or affordable, I meant it in general comparing to the same item sold across most stores.
Tumblr media
G2000
For cheap office wear, hands-down G2000 is the brand to go. G2000 is one of the most established and I dare say one of the most successful brands in Singapore that sells business wear as their core item. Almost every Singaporean guy (maybe even the ladies) started off their career by wearing from G2000. They have regular sale that offers really attractive discounts storewide and they have a wide range of designs and cuts with different colors and fabric selection. Their ties are also among one of the cheapest in town and they looked pretty neat, nice and premium to be honest. My brother who is earning a decently comfortable income still shops in G2000 once in awhile as he simply can’t help it when he walks in and see their clothes with that price discount.
Uniqlo
Another alternative place to shop cheap office wear (and casual wears), will be Uniqlo. This Japanese fashion label first opened their store in Tampines 1 and the queue was CRAZY! Literally flooded the entire floor for weeks.
Uniqlo had since expanded their footprint in Singapore setting outlets in almost any mall in Singapore across Singapore. And if you think that’s a mistake move then you are wrong. Walk into any of the stores right now and I can bet there is someone at the cashier paying for something. Their success didn’t come with hype or gimmick. It’s simply providing a value product at well valued price point. They deserved every success they are having in Singapore. As a male shopper in Singapore, I get to buy nice looking clothes without spending a bomb. Their clothes are minimalist, look good and are pretty durable.
Cotton-on
For cheap/ reasonable priced casual wear, Cotton-on is one of the best options to shop. Their designs are trendy and are made of decent quality material. They do run sale quite often, but even when they are not running promotion, their items are just as affordable when you buy it off shelve. Their items are refreshed on a regular basis as well. I always check out their polo tees, jogger pants and chino pants when I walk pass their shops. If you spend some time exploring their stores, you can also find some really nice items like minimalist mugs, fabric canvas pouch, cool and trendy shopping tote bags. They’ve also launched their own range of in-house sportswear and I must say that I am pretty impressed with the quality.
ASOS.com
Lastly, I always go online to check out the pricing of certain fashion items I planned to get. This will give me a good pricing benchmark when I really hit the store to shop. One such online e-commerce fashion store I frequent is ASOS.com. I love shopping at ASOS.com because they have a huge range of items and they also sell their own in-house brands at very good price point. They also offer free international shipping to Singapore. The site is easy to navigate and filter and most importantly, I can always get some fashion inspiration thanks to the models wearing it.
Zalora.com
Lastly, I sometimes also visit Zalora.com to see if they have any sale or promotion that can go up to 80% sometimes. Zalora have very good return policy and I can shop with ease instead of worrying that the item might not fit after I made the purchase.

Menswear Label Singapore
If you are staying in Singapore and have been interested in the fashion scene as I am, you might have heard that one of the longest established local menswear label – Sifr - is closing down the flagship store (PACT) in Orchard Gateway.
They have been there for as long as I’ve remembered. But I believe it’s the rental and generally the retail scene in Singapore is suffering as a whole. This is even more so for men’s fashion. I bet bigger international brands like Zara, H&M, and Topman/ Topshop survived selling their menswear but their only hope to survive or even ‘thrive’ will be by selling more female wear.
The in-flood of online shops that sells menswear could also contribute to this. That said, Sifr would also be moving to online, selling their designs online only.
It seems like the fashion scene for guys in Singapore is still struggling, as it is as many years back. The only business that can thrive in Singapore seems like to be only the F&Bs. And multiple product stores with interesting gift-type products. Shops like Megafash, Naiise and even HipVan are good examples. Even fashion orientated fashion multi-label stores like Kapok is carrying more gift-type products in their mix.
I personally still like shopping for my men’s clothes in retail stores though.
Btw, do heck out this site for great resources on places to shop in Singapore.
What do you guys think?
Let me know in the comment section yeah.

Local Menswear Label
I’m getting a little bit sick of shopping on menswear e-commerce sites that lack accurate measurements and doesn’t offer free shipment (even if we’ve spent $200 in a single order!).
It simply doesn’t make sense and is very frustrating for consumers to make that purchase decision. That risk that the item might be too big or too small for us. What’s worse, we have to pay for shipping to get it.
Anyhow, I came across this site (www.MenswearSingapore.com) and found these e-commerce sites that provides free shipping to my house in Singapore. Check them out and try for yourself if they are good. On the list, I’ve personally shopped from Hypebeast, ASOS, East Dane, Snort Label and Zalora.
All items come with free delivery (East Dane and Zalora requires minimum purchase) and they all delivered on time.
I buy my essential apparels and accessories on Zalora and ASOS as they have really cheap essential products. Hypebeast and East Dane for more branded items (ASOS as well). Snort Label is a local brand that I’ve tried and kinda like and follows pretty closely.
Try them out yourself and see if you agree with me.

5 Local Menswear Brands in Singapore
Is it me or are there really lesser and lesser menswear shops in Singapore’s shopping mall?
It’s been months since I’ve last went shopping in town - you now, after getting car, we tend to avoid heading to town for it’s not only expensive to park, but that ERP just doesn’t make sense.
Anyhow, my GF wanted to shop for a dress or something for her coming company’s function and we decided to drop by town for shopping. The malls are filled with food and food and food. Even stores are selling cosmetics and skin care more than fashion apparels.
Menswear in Singapore
Sure, we still have the famous Zara, Topman and even Uniqlo. But I was shocked by the lack of selection for guys. What’s more shocking is that these shops seem quite empty. Was it because the Great Singapore has passed or did we happen to enter the shop at the wrong time?
We do see some interesting stores like Actually and Naiise, which have some men’s clothing. Anyhow, she managed to get a dress from MDS and I managed to get a shirt from Benjamin Barker plus another T-shirt from Snort Label (from Actually store).
Ok, maybe I’m partially at fault since I don’t shop that often. Anyhow, I do hope to see more excited menswear brands in Singapore.
This site has a good list of menswear related resource for dudes in Singapore.
