cap'n 3 (real name junko 'jun' ishikawa):

country kid who was entranced by inkopolis plaza's unusual (to her) look

was originally super cheerful and peppy before Various Incidents

very creative, but none of the adults in her life ever appreciated it

likes to draw (doesn't do it much now) and bought a bass guitar during the events of splat 1 because she loved squid squad that much

became suuuper close with gramps and the squid sisters (as a matter of fact, the 'jun' nickname came from marie) bc her own 'family' was. um.

being sanitized kind of ruined her a bit. her left eye is a slightly lighter shade than her other one to this day, and the sanitization gave her memory loss, an aversion to food, and general odd behavior for a while

looks menacing, is really kind of tired and also shy

gave 4 her old agent outfit (cape included) since she didn't really need it anymore

still cannot believe she's the captain

very different from her younger, happier, more awake self, but she tries not to think about that.

parents wanted her to be a prodigy, and the pressure they put on her made her snap and run away. most pre-inkopolis square memories are deeply repressed

basically no one gave a shit about her when she first moved to inkopolis except for the splat 2 promo kid with the black v-neck tee. they're still kinda sorta friends

liked flow because she felt like she cared (and she actually kinda did)

pushes herself way too hard, somewhat self-conscious

got a few injuries during hero mode and was hesitant to let marie patch em up

straight up did not speak until callie got saved. still doesn't really talk much.

her and marie weren't super besties at first, the only reason they ever clicked was because they were both sad loners with negative self-esteem

kept thinking 4's first name was masuda (it isn't.)

wasn't an artist, but tended to draw hypothetical mem cakes of people she deemed important, like 3 and 4

smiles to cover up The Internal Suffering, almost no one ever buys it because a) it looks very fake and b) she never holds it. as soon as a stranger disappears, so does the smile

along with 3, callie, and marie, she consistently reminds 4 that she's stronger than she thinks and that she matters and isn't useless

terrifyingly good in turf and ranked, even won a championship that off the hook basically begged her to enter. she got a trophy and still thought 'cool i guess. no big deal.'

On building the house, the right way is continuosly and organize but on the pattern of Uncle DD and Aunt Karen is so weird! canon story stuff to be determined in why they're in japan but jun moved there a while ago and got a job at a flower shop ran by an old woman who surprise!! had ties with the kumakura gang, so they use the shop store as a front and the basement and back alley for yakuza stuff, and juniper ends up being so close to the old shop owner that when she dies juniper takes over the shop. moma has a small thing for them and will do whatever he can to protect them and outside of the yakuza business (which they don't wish to be part of but begrudgingly allow out of memory for their old boss and scold the members who end up there for business after moma promised things were clearing up but whatever is in the basement they still don't know) jun runs the shop like a normal flower shop. I'm waiting for more canon stuff before i figure out more lore but there's only extra tidbits to go along with them for now, like going to marble and possibly making, sending, and providing canon characters with floral arrangements / flowers for things and they meet date sometime in the past and don't remember for mem. loss issues and then he ends up connecting the shop with the cases via loose threads and they meet again. story unfolds as they flirt yadda yadda anyways. yeah

There’s an enemy in the cave, but Omega isn’t allowed to attack. Instead, while the twins work on samples brought to their attention, the others watch the silver skinned teen poke around. Lian turns a knife over and over, eyes never leaving her target. Damian watches with a straight spine, otherwise unmoving. The others sit about the room.

“How is it you all haven’t been killed yet?” Kom Yor sneers at on of their earlier group photos. “You all don’t seem smart enough to survive half of what you’ve been through.”

“Pretty fucking bold for a guy needing our help.” Irey keeps her eyes on the keyboard. It isn’t often anyone from Alpha would dare to come to Omega for help. Not unless they were desperate. Which, in this case, they were since the  Irnathian royal had to come. He’d specifically needed Irey and Jai to rush some test results for a case his team was working on. Their whole team refuses to leave the twins alone with him. “Nearly done with the results.”

Mar’i sits on one of the lab tables, reading one of the many Tamaranean law books she had to know by heart. Kom Yor tuts, “You all might make a better team if you got rid of the dead weight.”

“Prosequ se kenecarr.” Mar’i turns the page in her book. Her native language always sounds like a strangely beautiful mix of Spanish and Russian, “Frokesen t’r jun nar--”

“Use real words, tr--” Kom Yor doesn’t get a chance to finish the sentence. Two knives appears in the wall beside his head. Lian and Damian glare at him. 

“Finish that sentence. I dare you.” Lian’s sharp voice doesn’t even make the royal flinch. Mar’i keeps her eyes on her book. Jon wraps an arm around her shoulders, kissing her temple. Mar’i smiles a bit, eyes flicking up to Jon’s face. 

“You know, Kent, I’m sure there’s someone in the league better suited for a man like you.”

Jon raises an eyebrow, “A man like me?”

“A man of your lineage. My team has been looking to add a new mem--”

“I’m happy where I am.” Jon remains calm and firm, but if they know him as well as they do, Kom Yor’s pushing his luck.

“Here.” Jai shoves the results at Kom Yor. “Some of the results are still processing. We’ll email them to you later. 

“Is this how you treat all your guests?”

“No, it’s how I treat assholes.” Jai holds himself to his full height, something he rarely does. “Especially assholes who need help and are jerks to the people helping them.”

“Please. I only used you all because you were available.” He fixes his eyes on Mar’i, “I hear Tamaranean women are used to that.”

Mar’i doesn’t even blink at the comment. She’s heard it before. But Jon’s eyes turn red. Honestly, none of them want to stop him.

“I believe.” A calm, familar voice makes the young team look up. Alfred Pennyworth looks at Kom Yor with a fixed stare, “It is time you left, sir.”

“Oh, so the help has to protect the princess. How sad.”

“Well, as the help one of my duties is to take the trash out.” Alfred bows to Kom Yor. “Your car is waiting, sir.”

Omega hides their snickers as Kom Yor turns a darker sliver, grumbling as he heads towards the secret entrance. Mar’i smiles at the old butler, “Thank you, Alfred.”

“Miss Mar’i, you have nothing to thank me for.” He keeps a fairly neutral expression, aside from the twitch of his mustache. “Miss Lian, Master Jai, I do believe the young prince left his jacket on the hook over there. But I could be mistaken. Would you all require any refreshments? I thought about fish for dinner if you want to stay.”
