Melva Cornell - She was american and was only in one movie - “The Movietones Follies 1929”, but she didn’t have a speaking role in it. It’s a lost movie now. There are no copies of it because it burned down in a studio fire. She was a dancer and wasn’t even listed in the credits. She did a few obscure Broadway shows but gave them up to start a family. She had a lot os tragedy in her life. Her only sibling died. Her husband died and then her son, her only child, died of leukemia at age 7.
Anyway, she was stunning beautiful.

Melva Cornell was an American actress known for her work in the 1920s and 1930s. She appeared in several silent films and early talkies, often portraying strong, independent women. Though she didn't achieve the same level of fame as some of her contemporaries, her performances were marked by a captivating presence and a natural ability to convey emotion. Melva Cornell remains a part of the rich tapestry of early Hollywood, representing the talent and ambition of actresses during that era 💕

Looking so very modern, this is Melva Cornell in a publicity photo taken almost 100 years ago - for the only film she ever appeared - Fox's Movietone Follies of 1929. The film is now lost, destroyed in the infamous vault fire of 1937. Despite her beauty, Cornell never made it in films, and instead worked behind the scenes. She died in 1960.
