I get why some people would think that the geq was sealed inside of melina but i also think its like an extremely less compelling alternative to melina being the geq herself like come on you'd have the perfect family drama of one of the eldest kids probably one of the few that knew her the most turning against her own mother only to be then killed/burned alive by her uncle and getting damnatio memoriae'd the geq being sealed into melina who also somehow a day spontaneusly combusted is just boring compared to it

As the saying goes,' When a Targaryen is born, the gods flip a coin. One side greatness, the other madness'.

However, it seems that the gods are having difficulty deciding the fate of the newest Targaryen as the labour of Princess Aemma continued for almost 15 hours.

Finally, at noon, the wails of a baby echoed throughout the palace. Queen Alysanne was the first person to be out of the birthing chamber while carrying something in her arms. The people standing outside gazed at the babe with astonished eyes.

" Mother, this is ?" Crown Prince Baelon was the first to snap out of the awestruck daze." this is my great granddaughter who her family will most cherish and this entire realm ." Queen Alysanne proudly stated.

" Give her to me, Alysanne. I too want to hold her in my arms." The old King demanded his sister-wife. "You can hold her later, Issa valzȳrys. Let the father first hold his babe ." The Queen handed the child to her still-dazed father.

" She is so tiny, father." Prince Viserys softly whispered with adoration. The Prince was carefully holding the baby as if she were a fragile thing who might break at a single touch.

"Congrats on becoming a father, cousin" Princess Rhaenys congratulated Prince Viserys after coming out from the birthing chamber. Even after becoming the wife of Corlys Velaryon,the wealthiest man in Westeros,the Princess still kept her title.

" Thank you, Rhaenys. I hoped Corylys and your children would be present upon this occasion." Prince Viserys said to his cousin. Princess Rhaenys had given birth to two healthy velaryon children three years ago. " The children can't travel on Melys due to their age, Viserys. But Corlys will soon arrive before the feast ." The Velaryon matriarch smoothly replied.

" Grandmother, I forgot to ask about Aemma. Is she okay?" Prince Viserys suddenly realised about not seeing the mother of his child who would want to see her babe. Realisation seemed to have dawned on her too ." She must have taken bathe and be resting in bed, go see her now with the babe, Viserys".

The peaceful Prince and his daughter went to see Princess Aemma. At the same time, the good Queen ordered everyone outside to go prepare for the grand feast only for their immediate family amidst the whining of her husband and son to hold the newborn Targaryen.

Inside the chamber, Princess Aemma could be seen lying on the bed. The aftermath of childbirth took a toll on her as she grew tired.

" Aemma, look who had come to see you." Viserys who was his daughter calmly said. Hearing his voice, Princess Aemma groggily woke from her nap.

Upon seeing her husband holding their baby, whatever fatigue she had seem to be completely disappeared.

" Oh my god! My darling Princess. I am your mother. Oh, Viserys ! She is perfect. Our daughter is perfect." Princess Aemma starts to softly cry while looking at her daughter. The babe seems to have sensed her mother because she suddenly opened her eyes for the first time. Her parents both gasped at seeing her eyes. One eye was emerald green while the other was Targaryen violet. Viserys' eyes glistened with tears as his own mother, Alyssa Targaryen, had two different eye colours. Looking at his daughter now - silver blonde hair with heterochromatic eyes is like looking at his mother's face once again.

If his father had seen her now, he would have broken into tears and said his mother had been reborn as his daughter.

"Do you have anything in mind regarding her name, darling?" Prince Viserys asked his wife." You had once told me that your mother was fond of the name

'Mariana' and wanted to name her daughter that, Viserys." Princess Aemma told.  " Yes. She indeed wanted that name for her daughter. However, her wish went unfulfilled. " Viserys mirthfully said.

"Hence, I want to fulfil your mother's wish by keeping the name for our daughter in your mother's honour, Viserys " Princess Aemma said with a gentle smile.

" Mariana Targaryen is indeed a name fit for a princess, Aemma. Everyone is going to love her name" Viserys said while softly gazing at his daughter now sleeping in his arms.

It is said that the coin has never flipped on one side as the gods can't decide Mariana Targaryen's fate which made her life full of uncertain future. But one thing is sure. Mariana Targaryen will be the only chance for the house of the dragon to be stopped from destruction.

Vali and Nari of course are Loki’s twin sons, “living” eternity forever after as ghosts after being murdered at the age of 10 on Asgard by…. Umm, it’s complicated 🙃 at any rate MANY Elysium’verse years ago, once Loki ended up in the Grecian Underworld their spirits (or “shades,” to be Grecian about it) were able to be transferred from their Nordic Underworld to live in Maci & Tory’s Elysian Fields and happily ever after Yaay etc etc

Melinoe - the Goddess of Ghosts entirely; also the one who plucked them from Niflheim herself (!!!), and also ALSO living eternally as a child too - has been inseparable besties with them ever since!

Vali and Nari are usually NOT glaring down Maci and Tory like they were a few months ago, they’re USUALLY on adventures around the palace/Elysium with Meli, with their siblings, or with the pile of mythological ghost children they’ve also found as friends. They’re just uhhh. Protective of their wayward father and Tory had ended up on Vali’s bad side long ago (ANOTHER long story) so…. 😅😅 well! Not their finest moment. It’s fine they’re back to chillaxing while their newest brother comes along….

‼️I suddenly have a new Elysium Drama Update that’s NOT the baby to post coming up next - I wasn’t going to draw it but changed my mind in the eleventh hour so!!! SURPRISE CANON CONVO COMING YOUR WAY SOON SUPER SOON…. (Like. Tomorrow literally. YAY)

Blood of Zeus Season 2 thoughts (There's alot of them)

I watched Blood of Zeus when it first came out in 2020 and the pandemic kept us trapped in our caves. I really liked the first season, mainly because it’s one of the few media outlets for Greek Mythology that isn’t wildly inaccurate, awkward, or just plain bad. It also set up a lot of interesting possible plotlines, and when the trailer for season 2 came out last month my hopes for those stories could not have been higher. I watched season 2 twice and… I have some notes (unfortunately)

First of All things I liked:

The entirety of episode 3

Hades and Persephone NOT being villains

Hades and Persephone being the only successful and functional couple in this show

The look of Hades’ Palace

ZAGREUS AND MELINOE!

The fact that Typhon is on a “He-who-shall-not-be-named” level and this time it actually has consequences

Other gods actually getting lines instead of just being backround characters on Olympus!

Hades using shadow teleportation, and using his bident like Mjolnir, only cooler

Other races in Hellas being acknowledged

More monsters; the Hydra being an ocean species is a very interesting take

Seraphim getting more development

Gaia and Hecate looked amazing

Problems with the Season:

Okay, a gripe I had with season 2 was Hades motive, and let me be clear I love the idea of Hades wanting to ascend the throne so Persephone wouldn't have to leave for 6 months, but to have him hate being in the Underworld seems like a stretch. In the myths, Hades knew the responsibility of ruling the dead and he did it with pride. It would have made more sense to have him hate being alone in the Underworld. They could've tied into the fact that Hades was the first to be swallowed by Kronos and was in his stomach alone for who knows how long.

Along with that, the season felt disjointed, like they were focusing on the wrong things, at the wrong time, for WAY too long. There were just some scenes that took up big chunks of the episodes and they didn't need to be that long, especially scenes with Heron. I know he's "The Main Character" but if you're going to make him that then please try to make his writing interesting enough for that much time to be devoted to his plot. I know that he's lost so much but his writing honestly felt clunky, it felt like he needed different scenes to make his choices more believeable. His dialouge also seemed stiff and I don't think his voice actor helped either.

We could've had a scene where Hades is talking to or doing something with Zag and/or Meli, showing how he's a better dad than Zeus, but we never got that.

If your going to give Hera a redemption arc GIVE HER A SCENE/EPISODE WHERE SHE CHANGES! Instead, the second she shows back up she's already redeemed? Really?

So, The Demon problem is just over? I don't remember them burning the giant flesh, and on that note where did Seraphim and the Demons move the giant flesh?

Ok, let me get this straight, they could've imprisioned the Giants' bodies in Tartarus the whole time?!

Also the giant problem felt like it was resolved way too early.

They didn't really focus on the open throne idea, yes the 3 trials were to decide the next king, but they needed scenes showing who the other Olympians thought should be in charge, show that scene about Ares rallying others to his side, maybe apollo did the same, or there could’ve still some loyal to Hera.

Minor: I loved Hestia but she looked WAY too young

Minor: Why are Horses just always the ones pulling the Gods' chariots, that's boring! I know most divine chariots are pulled horses in the myths, but for the love of mike be creative!

Minor: The giants guarding the hidden realm looked way to human.

Minor: They kept using the forest backround when they were in Tartarus, isn't the whole place on fire? I wanted to see some lava.

Minor: The other races that showed up for the funeral should've had varying respones to Zeus' death, like Hephaestus said.

The whole Eluesian Stone plotline seemed rushed and felt like it just came out of knowhere. The show said that Zeus drawing the stone from 3 others was how he became ruler of the Heavens, but wasn't the reason in season 1 being because he married Hera who was already queen of the Heavens?

Evios and Kofi didn't really get enough scenes for their characters to really do anything.

Alexia had the same problem she kind of just went along with Heron's whole thing this season, she didn't really do much except (sorta) talk to him.

They really should've brought all of Zeus' misdeeds to the trial, Prometheus especially.

She joined the lancer's guild in Gridania simply because she knew how to wield a lance and didn't find magical study particularly easy. Of course, she stumbled into being a hero the way anyone does -- screaming, cussing and wanting desperately to go back to a bar and drink. Now, Meli is resigned to being the Warrior of Light and does her duty, but she has a lot of healing to do over what she's lost and learned. In her free time, she likes to race chocobos (casually, not professionally) and hike.

I've done it, I lose often, especially when I take Urianger on at Triple Triad, but I don't do it … well. TIMELINE ROUND TWO, completely unabridged!!!! { Round one:)) }

I recognize that I have perhaps not fully discussed the beforetimes ft the death of Melanie or— maybe I have in bits and pieces but - following the previous arc, our first non Taci character shift was onto Meli, Epi and Eury so. many things happen but you’ll notice this is mostly about them!!!

PLEASE mind the content warnings this is among the darkest plots we’ve ever done in here,, and so, behind the cut presentinggfg

Glaukos and Oiolyka announce that they're expecting! Quadruplets, actually oh my gods (Klonie, Anthedon, Telephousa, Termessos).

Baby fever sparked by the quads plus watching Eury and Epi with Meli inspire Tory and Maci to try for a baby.

Laphi formally moves into the palace, and soon after he and Jesse announce they're officially dating.

Maci is pregnant with Neo! She, Tory, and company soon discover Neo is Fated to be the future Goddess of Death due to the awful side effects involved with that: specifically, Maci falling into a disturbing death-like unconsciousness every single time baby Neo is awake in-utero.

As part of baby-proofing the palace for the impending Death Godling, Jesse is immortalized into a god.

In the meantime now that Thanatos has been rendered harmless (they think), past victims Sophie, Amey, and Hess are found and healed. Through Lethe, each chooses to erase their memories of their time with Thanatos.

Maci's rough pregnancy becomes too much for her and Tory to bear as Neo's powers increase. With the help of childbirth goddess Ilythia, they magically accelerate her pregnancy to induce a much earlier due date.

Neo is born by the end of July! - OoC - circa. 2011

Laphi and Jesse are now trying for a baby - soon Jesse is pregnant with Lenore.

Thanatos snaps and really goes off the deep end once he learns that Maci and Tory's daughter is set to replace him. He talks Ker into having a child with him and secretly, Chal is born. They immediately artificially age him up to 11 years old and begin to train Chal as a puppet in acts of villainy.

Uncontrollably smug over his new secret weapon, Thanatos gloats to Hypnos about the existence of Chal. During this meeting he injures and threatens to further harm his son Icy (age 2 at the time) if Hypnos tells anyone that Chal exists. In desperation, after Thanatos leaves, Hypnos secretly curses Chal with eternal insomnia.

Meanwhile, obliviously, baby fever continues to spread and now reaches Eury and Epi. Epi soon becomes pregnant with Melanie.

Becoming sloppier as he slips further into cocky madness, Thanatos parades Chal to Nyx to gloat some more, used to his mother letting him get away with whatever. But this time after Thanatos leaves, Nyx calls Maci and Tory, and tells them about Chal’s existence.

Everyone is ALARMED. With Epi weakened by his pregnancy, Maci and Tory insist that he move his family out of their home in Tartarus and into Elysium. Maci fiddles with the Elysium barrier to get Epi in, and he, Eury and Meli move temporarily into the palace for safety.

Bracing this whole time for whatever Thanatos is planning with Chal, instead everyone is surprised when Thanatos resurfaces to attack Lethe as an act of revenge for assisting his former three victims. Arguing that this is a violation of his Styx oath, Tory and Maci send the Furies after Thanatos.

Realizing he’s running out of time, Thanatos makes a move and unleashes Chal, ordering him to kidnap baby Neo and bring her back to him.

Infant Neo is kidnapped. Thanatos locks her in a cage in his Tartarus cave and… just waits, with Chal and Ker. On cue, Maci shows up to save her daughter. A standoff ensues that ends in Maci grabbing Thanatos’ scythe from him and hacking him to pieces.

Tory shows up with the Furies, peels Maci off of Thanatos, and they break Neo free. Thanatos (maimed) is arrested by the Furies and dragged off to a Tartarus cell. Ker holds Chal back from intervening with a claw straight through Chal's shoulder and they both disappear off the grid "forever" (or... do they?).

Epi, who had been twitchy inside Elysium this entire time, takes Eury and Meli and promptly moves back to their Tartarus home, now that Thanatos is gone and all seems safe again.

Jesse and Laphi’s daughter Lenore is born.

While everyone's guard is down, chaos goddess Eris ambushes Epi and Eury's household for shits and giggles, though also irked that her pal Thanatos had been arrested. She physically separates Meli's internal two beings into separate bodies for the first time - "eMel," the evil entity, and "gMel," the good one.

Immediately, eMel turns on Epi and kidnaps him, as his pregnancy is still affecting and weakening his powers. She and Eris together stash him in the Cronus pit while Eury and gMel flee back to the Elysium palace.

Tory, Maci and company search for Epi. Alena, Epi's long-time best friend, makes her first appearance in canon.

While the palace searches for Epi, eMel terrorizes him. She tears the unborn Melanie from Epi's womb and murders her, as she had tragically not yet developed her divine immortality. When Melanie dies, eMel uses her powers as Goddess of Ghosts to physically rip apart her shade into scattered fragments, leaving almost nothing left of her. Epi shatters.

eMel resumes her old hobbies of terror as Epi suffers, like murdering mortals again in the upper world, even briefly meeting loose supervillain disaster Chal. Eris starts trying to brainwash Epi using stolen Lethe River water into reverting to his full daemon form, to use him as a weapon against the palace.

With Epi still missing, Tory, Jesse, Eury, the rest of the palace, begin experiencing vivid dreams and nightmares. They realize this is Epi trying to contact them through his realm and soon realize where they've been keeping him -

- but eMel discovers that Epi's been reaching out and moves them to a secondary location before the palace can catch up. Maci and Tory arrive at Cronus' pit. They don't find Epi. They do find Melanie's remains.

Maci and Tory return Melanie's ashes to Eury.

In an ambush set-up, Epi is finally located - but by this time his memory has been mostly erased by eMel and Eris, making him uncontrollably dangerous while trapped in his daemon form. As Tory and Alena fight and subdue him, gMel appears and defeats her other half, reabsorbing her back together. Epi is taken back to the Elysium palace and healed.

Blaming herself for the attacks, Meli disappears from the palace. Secretly, she also sets out to find the scraps of Melanie's lost shade.

Epi discover's he's pregnant again, though this time unintentionally. Meli returns with Melanie's shade, patched together; Epi allows the new unborn child to absorb Melanie's soul, reincarnating her... unaware that this time around, he's actually carrying twins Ty and Bel. Fearful of the threat of her other self, Meli tries to run away again to protect her unborn sibling(s), but Epi and Eury beg her to stay - they can't lose another child.

Meli agrees to stay. Epi, Meli, and Eury move permanently into Elysium.

During Epi's pregnancy, the palace discovers first that Epi is carrying twins; second, that Ty and Bel are telepathic, discovered on account of the twins poking around inside everyone's head from inside Epi's womb.

Ty and Bel are born! Even as newborns, they are immediately able to communicate telepathically with their family while just a few days old.

Thanatos, from his cell in Tartarus, is filled in by Eris of the drama of the months past, the release and recapture of Melinoe and the trauma inflicted upon Epi. Learning that Epi and Eury now have vulnerable children of their own, and in his slipping insanity deciding that while post-partum, surely Epi is less of a threat to fuck with, Thanatos seeks out a different previous victim to terrorize - Eury. Eris hacks the Elysium barrier to shut it temporarily off, and break Thanatos out of his cell.

At Thanatos' orders, Chal reappears from wherever the hell he'd been, to break into the palace and kidnap Eury to drop at Thanatos' feet. While in the palace, at the guidance of Eris Chal also manages to slip a poison in Meli's vicinity for the purpose of later chaos. With Eury deposited into his grasp, Thanatos manages to attack him but briefly before Epi shows up, furious that Thanatos would dare harm his mate and challenge him so directly.

Epi is not any less of a threat post-partum.

Thanatos is re-imprisoned, much worse for the wear. Chal disappears off the grid again. Epi revisits for good measure, leaving Thanatos cursed with vivid insanity-inducing nightmares.

Laphi proposes to Jesse, they become engaged.

Meno makes his first canon appearance when summoned for tattoo purposes.

Meli finally accidentally drinks the lurking poison that Chal had planted. eMel escapes their physical body again, but when she beelines straight to harm the twins gMel rushes after her and they both vanish...

And when Melinoe soon after reappears, reunited together again as one... despite acting same as ever, this Melinoe is now being secretly puppeted by her evil half. This very temporary version, "MelE" puts on a weepy show of wanting to guard and protect the baby twins from harm especially given Thanatos' recent events. There is no visible reason not to trust her.

The second she's left unattended, MelE approaches the twins in their crib with malicious intent and tries to harm them. Before she can, the extremely powerful months-old-mindreaders Ty and Bel forcibly slam her back and yank the correct Meli back into consciousness, locking the evil half buried much deeper inside of her. Everyone is uhh, a little taken aback by how easily they managed to do that, but overall a happy ending is had.

Alena and Meno start to date each other on-off.

Meanwhile... though unbeknownst to most of the the residents of the palace, a commotion begins in the mortal world within one of their cities, as a deity from another realm stages a hostile takeover. Though the event resolves itself topside, it perks on Tory's radar due to the sheer weirdness of it all and the brief influx of shades; though there's always strange things happening in the mortal world, and no one thinks anything else of it.

Several realms above the mortal world, following the aforementioned hostile takeover event - rather than be taken to his home world humiliatingly as a prisoner, the god Loki decides he once again has nothing left to live for. He jumps for the second time.

This time, Loki lands further underground.

AAAAAAND tee hee the end for now!!! I don’t actually know when I’ll be uploading the next part since I. We actually have to redo a ton of stuff I think in the Loki era but. I will eventually

I’ve been haphazardly trying to keep track of Elysium kiddo birthdays but not that seriously, so it was mere happenstance for me to glance at my calendar a few days ago in time to notice their birthday was coming up. Hooray!

twin girlies Skiophoros & Korakinos, whose full names I adore but never get to type out cause they only go by nicknames, are daughters of hybrid combo Epi and Tory (on purpose, with Eury and Maci’s blessings fgkgkf) & honestly in current canon theyre relegated waaay to the background of Elysium. I have no idea what their deal is, really. They may or may not have powers related to sleep paralysis. Kora spends much of her time as Skio’s actual shadow, but can detach at will to hang out on her own. Like all the kiddos, they’ll find their groove and fit in somewhere eventually! This is like.,, one of the very few times I’ve ever drawn them fgkfkf

Aaaaand Meli, older by hundreds of years than everyone in the palace, but perpetually 8 years old, never aging. bittersweet to watch all her little siblings grow up and age well past her - but it’s okay, her bestest friends are ghosts trapped in time just like she is. it’s fine! for now just a fun few years of being evened out with her lil sis duo :-)
