Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project is the WORLD’S BIGGEST UNDERGROUND PUMP HOUSE Project.
According to engineers, KLIP has many unique features, including the longest tunnel to carry water in Asia, running up to 81 km, between the Yellampally barrage and the Mallannasagar reservoir. “The tunnel work is nearing completion and the lining work is also in progress,” another engineer involved in the project said, adding that the project would also utilize the highest capacity pumps, up to 139 MW, in the country to lift water.

జాతీయ స్థాయిలో అరుదైన ఘనతను మేఘా (మేఘ ఇంజనీరింగ్ ఇన్‌ఫ్రాస్ట్రక్చర్స్ లిమిటెడ్) దక్కించుకుంది. నిర్దేశించిన గడువుకన్నా ముందే సబ్‌స్టేషన్‌ను నిర్మించిడం ద్వారా ఆ రికార్డ్‌ను మేఘా సొంతం చేసుకుంది. జాతీయ స్థాయిలో అత్యంత ప్రతిష్టాత్మకమైన, నవరత్నాల్లో ఒకటైన పవర్‌గ్రిడ్‌ కార్పోరేషన్ ఆఫ్ ఇండియా (కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వరంగ సంస్థ) నుంచి ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌లోని అనంతపురం జిల్లా కదిరి సమీపంలోని ఎన్పీ కుంట (నంబులపూలకుంట) వద్ద సబ్‌స్టేషన్‌ నిర్మాణాన్ని టెండర్ ద్వారా దక్కించుకుని ముందుగానే పూర్తి చేసినందుకు పవర్‌గ్రిడ్‌ తాజాగా మెమొంటోతో పాటు ప్రశంసా పత్రంతో మేఘాను అభినందించింది.
పవర్‌గ్రిడ్‌ కార్పోరేషన్ ఆఫ్ ఇండియా లిమిటెడ్ కోసం ఎన్పీకుంట వద్ద కేవలం 7 నెలల కాలంలోనే 400/220 కేవీ సబ్‌స్టేషన్‌ నిర్మాణాన్ని పూర్తిచేసి దేశంలోనే అత్యంత వేగంగా ఈ ప్రాజెక్ట్‌ని నిర్మించిన ఘనత మేఘా ఇంజనీరింగ్‌దే. దేశంలోనే ఇదొక రికార్డ్. ఈ విషయాన్ని పవర్‌గ్రిడ్‌ కార్పోరేషన్ తన పత్రికా ప్రకటనలో తెలియజేసింది. అలాగే పవర్‌గ్రిడ్‌ కార్పోరేషన్ అందించే అత్యంత ప్రతిష్ఠాత్మకమైన ‘బెస్ట్ డెబ్యుటెంట్ అవార్డు’ను మేఘా ఇంజనీరింగ్ దక్కించుకుంది.
అనంతపురం జిల్లాలోని ఎన్పీకుంట వద్ద ఏర్పాటు చేస్తున్న ఆల్ట్రా మెగా సోలార్ పార్క్ ను పవర్ గ్రిడ్ అనుసంధానించడం కోసం చేపట్టిన ఈ సబ్ స్టేషన్ 12 నెలల వ్యవధిలో పూర్తిచేయాల్సి ఉండగా ఐదు నెలల ముందుగానే అంటే 7 నెలల సమయంలో నిర్మాణాన్ని పూర్తి చేసింది. నాణ్యతా ప్రమాణాల ప్రకారం పనితీరు సంతృప్తికరంగా ఉన్నట్లు పవర్ గ్రిడ్ కార్పోరేషన్ ఆఫ్ ఇండియా ధృవీకరించింది. ఈ మేరకు పవర్ గ్రిడ్ తన వెబ్ సైట్లో ఈ అంశాన్ని ప్రత్యేకంగా పేర్కొనడంతోపాటు కేంద్ర విద్యుత్ శాఖ మంత్రి తన అధికారిక ఫేస్ బుక్ ఖాతాలో కూడా పవర్ గ్రిడ్ మేఘాను అభినందిస్తూ పోస్ట్ చేశారు. డిజైన్, ఇంజనీరింగ్ తయారీ, టెస్టింగ్ మొదలైన పనులతోపాటు నిర్మాణ పనిని పూర్తి చేయటానికి సాధారణంగా 15 నుంచి 18 నెలల సమయం పడుతుంది. కానీ మేఘా మూడవవంతు సమయానికే నిర్మాణ పనిని మేఘా పూర్తి చేసింది.
