#megatron is healing - starscream is still bitter/hurt about so much but the one thing he is happy about is megatron

also more on my megastar au soap box but another thing that tugs on my heart strings is like a post predacons rising tfp meastar au where the two of them meet again. megatron still tortured from what happened with unicron, starscream defeated and dethroned, find one another and in 'peace' times are able to set aside their differences for a while, just to survive but then get closer during their exile. Things are shaky at first, but they get to know each other in a different way.

One thing that Starscream notices is just how demoralized and broken Megatron is. And he finds himself trying to make him feel better, or at least trying to get back to his 'old' self. Megatron has clearly changed, and isn't interested in fighting or violence, but he is happier as the days go by. And it's because of Starscream. Even Starscream, as traumatized as he is due to the war, does all he can to cheer up Megatron. And Megatron is happier because of Starscream.

Starscream is much harder to help. He puts up an 'im okay' facade, but megatron knows he likes to hide how he feels. It is very difficult for Starscream to admit that he is hurting or in pain, or that he's traumatized. When Megatron asks him about it, or at least tries to ask him how he's fairing, Starscream responds like "I'm happy now with you, without the war without violence and that's what matters'

They are both extremely hurt, but in a strange way they heal together. They understand that they aren't perfect people, but find happiness in one another.

I also think that in aus like this, megatron actually commits to peace. he finds some neutral decepticons and neutral bots and actually becomes the head/leader of a peaceful system.
