Megamind's reveal to roxanne of not being Bernard, after titan reveals himself as hal is also so good bc it shows both of them lied to her. They both manufactured scenarios in order to get her to like her. Titan shows off his new powers, scaring her, and megamind simply covers up the garbage around town with his technology, it showing up again once the jig is up. They obviously do it for different reasons, hal thinking power is what will make him attractive, and megamind not believing he could be liked since he has been labeled a villain, but both examples of deception hurt roxanne.
