Saeyoung doesn't need to be jealous. At least, he doesn't need to be jealous in a series way. After all, why would he feel insecure about the relationship you share with him when you've gone to Hell and back to stay by his side? He has the utmost trust in you. He knows you're too keen to make sure his fears don't take control of him. But, in that way, it has nothing to do with your relationship.

It has to do with the fear he's had his entire life that someone is going to take his loved ones far away and send them to his damn father to be tortured.

That has nothing to do with jealousy, it has everything to do with the fact that his paranoia is based on something truthful and you know to message him whenever you go somewhere without him so he can make sure you're safe and sound. Some people may be wary of the fact that he tracks you when you leave the bunker, but anybody who can understand reason would know that he does that only because if something goes wrong, he needs to know where your last location was and how to find you from that. 

I simply don't see him as somebody who gets jealous. Sure, some people knew you before he did, but there's no reason to be upset about that. They might know a different side of you, but they'll never know the side of you he knows. Yes, he might feel a little bit insecure knowing that he can't realistically know everything about you, but he can spend the rest of his life learning as much as everybody else has ever known. 

What point is there in getting jealous when you'll always come back to him? What point would there be in you being jealous when you know he'll always come back to you? It is sincerely a waste of your time and energy to be jealous about something that's not going to make a difference in your life.

He's not going to waste his time worrying about your relationship with other people, and he's not going to worry about somebody taking you away from him. 

After all, even though you're in a relationship with him, he doesn't own you and you are your own person. The same can be said for him. As much as he would like to be joined at the hip with you because he loves spending time with you, he knows that life doesn't always work out that way, and he can pray in thanks to God that he even gets to spend this time with you to begin with. He's grateful for what he has but he'll always have wished for a little bit more. 

This relationship is built on a foundation of mutual respect and trust. You love each other and you trust each other to be honest when one of you is feeling insecure about something. If you're feeling jealous, be honest with him, and if he's feeling the same way, he'll be honest with you.

One of the things he is learning is how to be honest with himself, and the people around him, so it's safe to say he's steadily going to approach you more and more with any feelings he has that may not always be pretty. A part of accepting himself is knowing that you deserve to love the truest part of him, and knowing that you love that side of him helps him learn how to love it a little bit more, too. 

However, if you are somebody who likes it when your partner is a little bit jealous or possessive in a healthy way, he is sure to role-play along with that. As most people are already well aware, he is quite comfortable getting into character, and he won't mind making sure you get whatever you want—in a safe way. 

At the end of the day, I think the only thing you need to worry about is helping him tune in on his paranoia. I think the closest you may get to a situation where you think he's being outright jealous would be one built on a misunderstanding. Like, maybe you're going to hang out with a friend you haven't seen in a long time and he seems to be standoffish at the fact that you want to go alone.

You might think he's jealous, but in reality, it's just that head of his twisting around and around with the fear that maybe this person knows something they're not supposed to know about him and they're going to hurt you because of it. Does it make sense? No, it may not always make sense, but fear isn't supposed to make sense most of the time. It's just there. 

So, if you approach him in a situation like this thinking he's jealous, you'll be surprised to realize that no, he's not jealous at all, he's more worried about the fact that somebody might be close to his father or the people he's pissed off in the agency. Even if it's somebody you've known for a long time and you trust, he has trust issues, and he can't help being afraid of losing you. He trusted somebody once and nearly lost his brother, he can't imagine ever letting that happen to you.

So, just remember to be gentle with him in those situations, as I'm sure you understand him and that fear very well.

Saeyoung didn't hesitate to run for you the second you appeared from the airplane bay. Five minutes was too much for him, but the month was beyond his limit. He wanted to be glued at the hip. He spent years not knowing what it was like to be with you! All he wanted now was to make sure that nothing in this world could keep you apart. You'd never miss a moment if he was always two steps away.

His heart raced, chasing after the butterflies you inspired, knowing the only cure for the way that you made him feel was nothing more than your gentle embrace. You laughed when that compelled him to twirl you around and around, feeling relieved to be with your lover again.

This was what you wanted, he knew that.

It was what he needed, too.

"I missed you," he murmured.

You smiled against his throat, nuzzling your cheek against him. He shivered at the smallest touch as if it were a gift from the Gods. It wasn't that hard to imagine you'd been thinking of how you'd tease him the best when you saw him again. "I missed more you, starboy."

You could do whatever you wanted and he would've taken it like a champ. All he wanted was to see you again. A video call was never the same as knowing he could touch your face. This was what he needed. This was his safe place. Nothing bad could reach him as long as he had you. He stopped feeling afraid of all the demons that could find him the second he saw your face.

Your hug was home.

He was home again.

If Saejoong would repent in the end, like, asking for forgiveness and stop chasing the twins, trying to do something to compensate his sins, do you think Saeyoung would forgive him like Saeran did? 🤔🤔

Saeyoung will never forgive Saejoong Choi, Rika Kim, or Jihyun Kim. He says this for a fact in multiple timelines and that theme is pretty much consistent enough for me to say that he'll never forgive them in his life, the next, and the after that. He would rather hate them for all the things they've done to him and his brother, and he is justified. He is allowed to choose that. He doesn't need to forgive them to find his peace.

What he needs is to be happy with his brother, and that's all he needs to move on. That's the core theme of Saeran's After Ending! You need to respect the ways that people cope with trauma, be it by forgiving a person, judging a person, hating a person, wanting nothing from that person ever again, or letting them into your life again. There are many ways people deal with their grief, trauma, and pain. What matters for everyone is that their choice is respected.

If you're not hurting yourself or others, you're justified in feeling what you need to feel. Saeran's choice was forgiveness. I don't think I need to write much about that here since I've covered the top a lot, but in the case of Saeyoung, he needed the opposite. He wants nothing to do with his abusers or those who broke his life promise by hurting his little brother. He wants to hate them forever, and that's fine. He isn't a bad person for that. He just doesn't need what his brother needed to move on.

It doesn't matter what those three do going forward. Saeyoung WILL NOT forgive them. He just won't. He doesn't think they're capable of change nor does he want to see them change. They'll remain a dark stain in his mind and he'll never trust them again. He won't open that door again after he was burned like this. Here's proof of that coming from his mouth in Saeran's After Ending and V's After Ending.

He tells you bluntly how he feels in comparison to Saeran when you speak in the hospital.

He goes full scorched-earth in V's After Ending.

Saeyoung was going to kill Rika and then himself in V's After Ending. It would've happened for sure if it weren't for Vanderwood, Jaehee, and Jumin. I can tell you that without a real shadow of a doubt in my mind. Saeyoung will kill for Saeran if need be. He doesn't care about his eternal soul or what happens to him. His brother matters more to him.

Do you think this is a man who forgives?

He doesn't.

He won't be the first person to accept a white flag of defeat. In fact, he'll never accept one. Even if he were to have caught Rika in the act back at Mint Eye and noticed his brother was there, he would've gone for her first after sending you away with Vanderwood and V. Then, he would've come to "take care of" V after "taking care of" Rika. It would never have been that clean in Saeyoung's own route, but... if the stars aligned for him, it'd be the same thing.

Saeyoung doesn't forgive.

He gets even with the people who wronged him. It doesn't matter how hard you try, if you've wronged Saeyoung or his brother in any way, Saeyoung won't forgive you. He'll get rid of you and he won't feel guilty about it for a minute. If he let you close to Saeran in the first place and caused it? He'll beat himself up, too. Now, that's a form of self-destruction but he is, at least, justified in choosing not to forgive someone.

The jury will have to debate his choices when it comes to revenge since not everyone will agree about that. But, as far as forgiveness goes, he's justified and valid for choosing not to do it.

That post on Twitter went viral lol xd But, we all know Saeyoung is very against alcohol and cigs, I genuinely think he even wouldn't enjoy his partner doing any of it either. But, what about Saeran? I think his approach towards that topic isn't as negative as Saeyoung's.

In SE he asks to leave the cabin to go to smoke, although we don't know if he actually smoked there since he used the chance to contact Magenta.

In his 2020 birthday CG he has wine in the background too, so, what are your thoughts regarding Saeran's perspective? 🤔

I do have an opinion about this, actually! Saeran wants nothing to do with alcohol or cigarettes, too. Think about it, he's been forced to take a "drink" for years against his will which alters his mind.

It's not that different from alcohol when you think about it. The only difference is the elixir is a cocktail of drugs even the doctors couldn't figure out every part of during the Secret Ending when it's brought up. They'd figured out some of what was in it, but it'll take a while to be able to find every drug that's ever been in it.

It's never quite the same given the fact that Rika mentioned they had to make batches multiple times and it's never going to be the same amount each time they make it. They'll have to add substitutes and make up for the loss since they're doing this underground no matter how many connections she has with people due to her work with the RFA since that's how she found all the money and supporters.

Do you think that Saeran would want to take something that alters his mind in any way after the Secret Ending? No. The same can be said for GE Saeran, too. Not only is it traumatic to go through the same motions his mother went through when he was a child when there's an elixir in his hand, but it's hard to imagine him wanting to actively chose to do that to himself when he has a say in what he's okay with.

Saeran has had it with addictive substances. He wants nothing to do with them. He wants to live freely and that means getting away from anything that can change him. I feel like he struggles with medicine, too, because that's what Rika called the elixir. It's going to be hard for him to trust medication even when it helps him!

That's the result of his trauma! I can't see him wanting to pick up a drink, a smoke, or any item of that nature.

I can explain this in a simple way. You know how people get smoke breaks when they're working or in the middle of a movie when they ask to take a smoke so that there's an opening to make a move? Yeah, that's exactly what he's doing in this situation. He purposely asked them to give him a cigarette so he could use that as a cover while he stole a phone that was laying on the table to contact Rika.

I genuinely do not think he smoked that cigarette. He might have lit it up and made it look like he was, but I don't think he ever took a puff. If he did, it was just for the sake of convenience in that situation if they were watching him closely. In fact, the only reason they weren't watching him closely was that Saeyoung thought giving him space was going to be the smartest option for helping his twin open up again.

That was a failure on his part to think about what his brother could do if they didn't watch his every waking move. He made the choice to trust him in that situation even if everything in the world was telling him to choose otherwise. It wasn't wrong for him to choose something he believed would make his brother trust him more, but he didn't let himself clearly think of all of the repercussions and that situation.

I also think we should take into account that the pictures they draw for the birthday title screens don't always take certain details into account. Just because the artist happened to draw something in the picture doesn't mean that it's something that the character would use, it's just something that's conveniently there.

If we want to break down the context of the picture, I would say that we need to think about who made the cake for Unknown. He doesn't enjoy his birthday and he doesn't strike me as the kind of person that would try to do something for himself on that day other than seethe in anger and try to destroy his brother.

So, if you're asking me, I feel like this spread on the table wasn't made by him, it was put together by Rika. Of course, she would want him to celebrate his birthday so he's living with a constant reminder of everything he needs to do for her. At this point in the timeline, he is a weapon for her to use at her disposal. She doesn't see him as a son anymore, just a weapon to use and dispose of when convenient. Give him something that pisses him off and reminds him of his place, of course.

Somebody gave him a cake and wine, as well as a birthday party. Things he wants nothing to do with. I mean, look at the way he is presented to the viewer and himself. He's being forced to look into a mirror at his reflection, the very thing he doesn't want to look at. The last time he looked at himself like this, he had bleach in his hair that barely got out all of the color in the midst of a panic attack trying to erase the memory somebody had the same face as him.

There's another situation in the passport package that you can purchase where he is shown passed out after drinking what appears to be alcohol, and it leaves a very sour taste in my mouth when I see it. I don't think the artist that was doing it had the context for the character's trauma, so that's how I reason with it in my head so I don't get too angry about it.

The only way I can rationalize it is that he wanted to give it a try and see what all of the fuss was about, and it was the worst thing he ever had and he said, “Never again.” In a controlled situation where he has mentally prepared himself to work this out with his trauma, and by the advice and safety of a therapist and his loved ones, that would be perfectly all right for him to do.

I don't know, it's a complicated situation for me as a person since I have similar trauma to the twins, and I also want nothing to do with alcohol or mind-altering substances.

It's perfectly fine if you consume those things in moderation and I would never shame somebody for enjoying themselves in a way that feels fun. But, it does bother me when characters that have very explicit trauma are shown to be engaging with something that they have previously said they wanted nothing to do with.

It gets really hard in our society because there are so many people who will tell you to just take a sip of something without respecting your trauma. I've seen it happen many times over the years in the fandom where people will write about the twins consuming alcohol and not consider any of the repercussions in that situation. There is no mention of their trauma or how it would make them feel to be around the culture that shaped their trauma.

I can say with the utmost certainty that Saeyoung has confirmed he will never drink or smoke. The only time in this game when he actually takes a drink of something is when he hits rock bottom, as I said in my other post, where he felt like he needed something to dull his senses and that was the only thing he could think of, unfortunately.

I don't know if it was a punishment to himself to drink it in the first place, or if he really felt like that was the only thing left to deal with the fact that he thought his brother has been dead for years. I don't think there will be a clear answer to that. But that is the only time he's ever mentioned that he wants to drink something.

It should be generally implied when you're interacting with Saeran, though. If you've seen him at his lowest point, and you know how much the Elixir destroyed him, it should be obvious that he would never want to touch anything that could alter his mood or mind in any way, shape, or form.

12. how does receiving or not receiving feedback/support impact you?

I thrive on it. Don't all writers thrive on a reply? I don't always hear from my readers, but when I do, it makes my day. I have the drive and energy to write more! I feel like people are having fun with what I'm reading and not only is to worth sharing, it's worth sharing more as I continue to work on that passion project. I don't get as disheartened as I did when I was younger and I didn't get reviews or feedback, but hey, I'm human. It all stings sometimes.

14. how do you write emotional scenes? Do you ever feel what the characters feel? Do you draw from personal experiences?

It depends. I put my entire heart into what I'm writing, and I take inspiration from things I've experienced to help me better write the situation in question. I have to take my experiences and connect the overlap in emotions to reach it.

Like, for example, I don't know what it feels like to be kidnapped, but I know what it feels like to "feel like you're being held hostage". So, if I'm writing a scene were MC was kidnapped by Saejoong, I can draw on that emotion to understand the distress and fear that needs to go into the words.

But, a better example is my fic Gardenia et tu Polaris. I, like many other people, have suffered religious trauma. That fic has a lot of elements I know like the back of my hand because I've been hurt when someone used Christianity as a weapon. Cathartic process to write that story, to be honest.

I have intense empathy so I do feel what my characters feel and that can be tough when I'm writing angst!

22. Are there certain types of writing you won’t do? (style, pov, genre, tropes, etc)

I used to write in first-person but I can't do it anymore. It just doesn't feel right. I can read first-person without an issue but I just can't do it in my own craft anymore. There are definitely things I won't do when I'm writing, but those things are squicks and icks, so they don't really qualify as something I should share. They're common themes that a lot of people don't do because of the content warning, like harm to one's self.

Well, you know me, sort of (?) I'm multifaceted, love to do lots of things, some of them very different from each other.

Hmm I'm INTJ, the type of friends that often nags at the others but in the end I like to joke around too. I love watching series and movies, reading books and mangas, I'm into gaming (mostly indie and single player games), but I also love nature, specially animals, flowers, and outer space ❤️

My hobbies are basically drawing, sewing, photography, Cosplay, playing music, spend time with my bunnies, solving puzzles, and study things of my interest 🤔

Honestly I'm up for almost everything since I love trying new things, my life is basically a fight against boredom hahahah

I'm a huge nerd too, I love my profession, biology, veterinary, studying new languages (I'm fluent in 2 languages, can speak 3, learning 2 more, goal to be fluent in those 5 but that will be hard haha), I love debating and just wondering about deep or silly topics, learning random facts, idk, just for fun haha

My habits are a mess tho, specially because of my work. I often sleep just a few hours and then way too much on free days. I often eat fast food or snacks because I'm too tired to cook and I definitely don't enjoy exercising hahsdj

So, you're a very matter of fact, no-nonsense kind of person. You need to know the facts before you get into something and you'd like to keep it that way. What you value most in a partner is somebody who can meet you halfway and understand what makes you happy. You might think that somebody who is as detail-oriented as him might not fall for you as hard as he did. However, it is exactly that that draws him to you in the first place. The fact that you are someone with their head on their shoulders as well as someone who knows how to cut back and breathe when you need to.

It might not always be a case of opposites attracting, sometimes you might find something closer to home that you didn't even consider could work for you. It might be surprising to hear this, but your sense of adventure and craving to see anything and everything in this world coincides quite greatly with the same desire Jumin holds. You want to be able to experience and try everything, and while he has done many things in his life, it'll feel like he's doing them for the first time when he's with you. that is to say, when he's with you, it makes him feel like this is the first time he's been seen as himself instead of just a caricature.

All the pretenses go away and he can finally laugh. It's in both of your experiences to constantly push yourself to the brink, and to find the moments in between when you can convince him to take a break after you both get home at 2:00 in the morning to just grab some junk food. That's the kind of thing he never would have considered if it wasn't for you. You two are business oriented and even though it may feel like your worlds only meet halfway, the minutes in between during the sunset or more beautiful than anything you've ever seen.
