Hi!!! Idk who Bathsheba is but your fanart of her is absolutely gorgeous! (Ik that some of them aren’t ur art but it’s still consider urs.)

Actually no fanart made for my fanfics is mine. I know how to write, but not how to draw. Fortunately, I’ve been blessed with the friendship of many amazing, talented people who have been kind enough to read my fics in the past and decided to gift me some art made by them, based both in my OCs or other TR characters.

Since you asked, I want to mention them again to tribute their love, friendship and dedication to my fics. None of this works were commissioned - not because I won’t pay for their talent, which I’m doing anyway in other aspects (Patreon, Redbubble), - but because it’s my moral guideline not to tell artists to draw something for me. I feel happy enough to see they draw and keep their talent alive. So, all of this pieces were given out of their good heart and free will. I’m gonna just mention and show some artwork.

1. @hydraballista

Powerful, passionate, this artist who is well formed in comic style drawing and digital design has gifted me many drawings, scenes and sketches devoted to my fics and my OCs. She has done some wonderful works, indeed, but I want to remark the digital covers made for the Spanish versions of The Golden Seal and Lilith’s Scepter, my first two TRAOD sequels, a wonderful design out of her brilliant and creative mind. Not only that, she’s been kind and generous to gift me two copies of my own fics in this design and the original of Lara kissing Kurtis at the end of the first sequel, among other little scraps and sketches.

It is well to highlight her rough and strong Lara and his cheerful and carefree Kurtis, liberated from all grief, she loves to draw, far from any sexualization or shallowness. It is good to mention she’s right now working in her own comic project of Bloodline, which was meant to be Kurti’s first spin-off game.

2. @adayka

Sometimes sweet, sometimes powerful, sometimes dramatic, sometimes funny as hell, Jasmine, to whom belongs the Batsheba you’ve seen and has generated this ask, is one of the most recent blessings to my fanfics. Her drawing and colouring talent has really no limits. Despite she has a very defined style for her faces, she’s able to draw a wide range of expressions and situations always managing to touch your heart. There not a thing she can’t draw, and she’s been the most prolific in drawing for my fics.

Not only prolific, but also kind and generous: she’s been amazingly altruist to gift me practically all the originals she has drawn for them, including an amazing, craft handed Kurtis’ journal taken from the lore of my fics - Kurtis having a sketchbook to practice drawing; and this far before that we knew Murti Schofield has plannes a similar reward for the @trdarkangel project. Inspired, also, in Werner’s diary in TRAOD, of course.

3. Carola Funder

Used to be a very appreciated TR fan artist, though now it’s been a while she has moved on to other projects, she drew some scenes for The Golden Seal out of her good will, which I’m still very grateful for. 

Her strong, well built - even buffed - athletic figures are very remarkable of her style. She has drawn some of the best classic/TRAOD Laras AND Kurtis that I can remind. All in traditional style.

4. @angel-in-shadow

Recently arrived to the current fandom, she’s a digital artist who has done many fresh, new renders using the actual models taken from the game, for which I’m grateful since I don’t like renders using “realistic” new models, or models for other games (specially LAU trilogy and reboot, ugh).

She has done covers and renders for The Golden Seal and Lilith’s Scepter, too, and some scenes for the first one. She’s also a fanfic author and is currently working on renders for her fic, The New Order.

5. @anentireamazon

- Anna, one of my latest OCs, from the fic The Awakening. Surely she reminds you of someone in particular, but with a slight change… :)

Currently developing her own style, my sister Elena works on digital art with her tablet out of her own motivation, that means, she’s autodidact. She has made many drawings for my fics and will probably kill me for sharing this one but here goes anyway.

Not many have dared yet with my Anna, so, this is a must.

6. Kyu Chan

Speaking of people who has dared with Anna… here comes Ariadna, Spanish reader and friend who has made some artworks for my recent fanfics Mr Vance Renner and The Legacy, the one still on updates. She also uses tablet and she’s one of the scarce, scarce Spanish readers left.

I’ll have to stop here so the post doesn’t go too far and it’s too long. Of course, many other artists (***) have worked on my fics in the past - I’m so lucky! - but I’ve mentioned them in past asks and if I recall correctly, those posts stop where this one starts. So I hope this one was useful and entertaining to you.

Day 16: How do you think AoD could have continued?

The thing I was 100% sure about was that Kurtis survived, so Lara would meet with him one day and they would join forces in the fight with Karel. Because another thing I was sure about was that Karel could not be killed by and ‘ordinary’ explosion. He was a Nephilim after all. So yeah, I expected Lara and Kurtis being partners in crime again (and more), immediately from the start of AoD 2 and fighting the Cabal and Nephilim. Nothing special, I presume everybody expected this, I do not possess enough imagination to compile a kick-ass plot (we have others here for it, right Ana? ;)  I was so excited for the sequel. I wanted to see what happened to Kurtis. I wanted to see how the relationship between Lara and him would evolve. I wanted to know more about Cabal. I wanted to see other dark locations…. But Eidos had to screw everything up …

With the release of Murti Schofield documents, we have now a clear idea what was planned for the the two sequels of AoD. We may agree or disagree with some points. Everything was only planned, nothing was final, just sketches, ideas… And one can clearly distinguish what would be logical and what wouldn’t make sense. I remember the summer when those materials went online, I was shaking with excitement! The years of sadness and anger of not having the continuation (and TR not belonging to Core Design, just saying) eased a bit. I was in awe when reading it.

Murti is a genius, a great mind, my hero. I hope one day, when he finishes his current projects, he will write AoD novel and I will live in peace. Given that he found out people really care about his work and endless effort which he put into making the greatest and best plot ever, I believe (what else is left for me) he will want to conlude it. Mainly for himself because he must suffer more than all AoD fans together. He worked on that for years, seaked information, created his own universe… He was preparing the biggest project of his life with so much potential! Then some greedy fuckers commanded and he had to chop off half of it… Still, it is the BEST FREAKING PLOT EVER, Crystal Dynamics cannot hold the candle to AoD with their stupid mama-dada bullshit.

Until we have that novel (fingers crossed), we have to rely on fanfiction. And thank the higher forces fot that because some people are gift from heaven. I would like to mention few of those ff. Those that had an impact on me, that I love and that helped me to overcome the pain I have for all those cursed years not having an official sequel.

The Queen of Tomb Raider fanfiction. Her works were the first ones that introduced me to fanfiction in general because I had never read one before. And most importantly, her ff brought me back to TR fandom. I was desperate with the current direction of TR franchise and I thought there are few classic TR fans who think alike. When I read her first AoD sequel (yes, that is the best part, she did not stick only with one, she wrote more of them and nowadays she is writing a new one!!!), I was immediately gripped by its plot, I experienced so many emotions! I could not put the bloody thing down. What’s more, these stories just get better with every reading. There’s always something new you discover, something that just hits you and you have to think about it. Her works are the closest to my heart. In terms of characterisation, plot, research, settings, dialogues, humour, emotions….everything is on spot for me. There are no plot holes, everything is elaborated into the smallest detail. I have to admit that I am quite obsessed now with her TR universe she created. I think it is the closest to what might have happened if only Core Design had the TR franchise. Ana is actually a ‘’Murti’’ of AoD fan sequels :D Amazingly talented. Okay, no more praising, let’s look at the jewels, these are simply a must-read:

The Golden Seal: Gripping and adventurous, well worked-out story. Includes both old known characters that are truthful to their bio as well as new/original ones that will get under your skin immediately. Gets better and better with every chapter.

The Lilith’s Scepter: A sequel to The Golden Seal, set two years after its events. A complex, well worked-out, deep story full of nerve-wrecking, mysterious, dramatic, gripping, loving moments and events. Highly recommended! Necessary to read before proceeding to the following ff. My personal favourite.

The Awakening: Set after the events of The Lilith’s Scepter. The rebels have risen against the government of Sri Lanka and Lara is trapped in a sacred area surrounded by jungle. The only way is the flight, but then a terrible incident unleashes a latent force. Adventurous, suspensful, stirring. Necessary to read before proceeding to another story.

The Legacy: A sequel to the Awakening. A new one, not finished, still in progress. Deals with unexplored field in TR universe. And it looks fantastic as usual ;)

Mr. Vance Renner: NSFW oneshot. Do not relate to the events of the previously mentioned stories, Tasteful, hot, erotic, intimate, electrifying moments between Lara and Kurtis. And when I said it’s NSFW, I really mean it :) I could not concentrate on other things after reading it :D

Just a quick note: If you are a girl, after reading Ana’s stories, you will want men calling you ‘’m’lady’’ ;D 

DEMONS IN THE DARK by Sabriel207

Still in progress, there are nine chapters so far and it is absolutely fantastic. Set right after the events of AoD, Lara meets up with Kurtis to fight the Cabal and Karel. The plot looks great so far. The characterization of Lara is sometimes out of character BUT Kurtis is absolutely PERFECT! He just makes you fall in love with him. Cocky, humorous, silly, sarcastic bastard. You will laugh at his comments. He is simply irresistible there.

SALVATION by FilthyBunny

Though the story is unfinished, which is an immense shame, I have to mention it, it is a jewel. An interesting sequel where Kurtis goes back to his mercenary job and though Lara stops raiding and adventuring after the events in Paris and Prague, they will meet up and things get going. Note: Chapter 11 is all you will need to let your Lartis feelings go nuts. *heavy breathing*

THE MIST OF ILLUSIONS by Ferrilium (@castlekriegler​) 

Picks up right from the end of AoD. I love that plot, love Zip and his behaviour, and particularly I love chapter 7 and 8 and the game of question and answers between Lara and Kurtis. Go and read it! Now! 

DOUBLE BLIND by gyikhu

Six months from the events in AoD, Lara and Kurtis meets up again (YAAAAY) but things get a surprising course of events. An original plot. Though some charactirazion is a bit over line, it’s enjoyable and I recommend it. And there are some pretty hot and ‘panty-warmer’ moments. ;)

It’s all faith and Faith it is: one kiss from Lara’s and Kurti’s perspective. Ovaries explosion guaranteed!

An evening to remember: Lara invites Kurtis for a dinner. Funny story with Kurtis who’ll give you goosebumps.

So... @felina-marlena-vasquez asked recently about fanfics or fandoms who depict a Lartis baby... I hate to call her like that so... in any case, meet Anna Croft, my OC. Lara and Kurtis’ only daughter.

I commisioned drawings of her to the always flawless @hydraballista and she started to make some sketches from me... please note this WIP is still beta, but I already love her. Specially the angry face. Damn, I love the angry face.

I don’t want to spoil things about her right here, moreover considering people can be more interested in their parents than in a OC. Only saying that she was conceived in Lilith’s Scepter - almost killed her twice in terrible circunstances, one of them to readers’ decision - and finally she was born in the end of this long, dramatic fanfic. In fact the epilogue is “written” by her.

I thought I never would write again about her because she was not meant to be the focus on the story - being them both Lara and Kurtis - but... this amazing reader fandom I don’t deserve happened, and here I am, writing and developing her.

Currenly she’s 14 years old and growing up strong and fearless despite some traumatic events which are really probing her. But I won’t tell more. The only and better way to know her is throught the fanfics, particularly The Awakening and The Legacy, this last one still in progress.

Which reminds me I must work again on my new chapter... once I’m done with this vertigo sickness and the piles of laundry awaiting me...

Oh sorry, I forgot. ALL HAIL HYDRA! :D
