Meegs! My beloved 🖤 this is an excellent question! And I love that you excluded golden retrievers 😂

We’re gonna ignore the fact that he’s not home for over 24 hrs and I’m gonna go with a German Shepard, they have a lot of energy so he can take them out in hikes or runs, they’re loyal and smart and easy to train so I think he’d really have a great time with one.

My second choice is a pitbull; cause he 100% is the dude who tours the shelter and when they tell him no one has wanted the pitbull cause some stupid stereotype he’s like “thanks I’ll take that one” and he would love him so much

Edit: I fucking read “was to get a dog” not was a dog 😂😂😂 my apologies I’ve been awake for only an hour.

He’d be a husky, way too much energy, too social and beautiful blue eyes 😂😂😂
