i think fingon would not be a heavy armour kinda guy. i think he'd want to be light on his feet. leather and layers. he needs to be able to use his bow whilst riding his horse, to be able to move quietly and strike quickly. he wants to be comfortable and precise and nimble. (plate armour always looked more impressive on turgon, anyway.)

but he is king, now. the nirnaeth arnoediad is the first time he wears what is expected of him and prepares for the worst. it isn't enough

I think one of the funniest canonical things about EOVD which never gets mentioned in the fic itself but is true in my mind is that the MC/reader (Dare) as a character just. exists within the comedy genre, and thus inflicts the same genre on everyone else around them.

In the same way that a cartoon character follows cartoon physics, they just run on different rules, except it also affects everyone else around them. Inescapable Comedy Aura.

one thing i will say about bg3 is that i feel like there aren’t really any good druid outfits in the game besides the starting armour, or at least not in act 1. would love to be proven wrong though
