In most cases, people have no need to publicized medical health information online, however, when you are high-tech targeted for silencing with a massive official set up around you, you have no choice. So today I took 20 mins and donated blood. You know currently my wife Dani is having medical issues and I have had them in the past and you know what has Never Happened, when we needed some, a Nurse or a Doctor hasn't sadly informed us that they are sorry but all out of blood.
And I don't want that to happen to anyone, so you know, I do my part.
Around these parts we always look for the #BigRedBus (find a location here at their website: www.OneBlood.org OneBlood )
So the cool local Lutheran Zion Church (down the street) had a community festival today and there was a Big Red Bus parked outside so we took the time and knocked that out. My wife Dani of course currently can't donate blood but she hung out with me while I did.
Anyhow it is easy-peaszy and a cool thing to do. And they always have some sort of promotion like movie tickets or a $20 gift card or something. So you're good and you get a little something too, a win/win. :)
I'm O+ so they like that and I do the plasma dealio thing too for Cancer Patients. So they like my blood. Also (idk how given the past month or so) but my blood pressure is great, I got low cholesterol so all good.
I got that Strong Native Blood. And I'll eat a bowl of dry Honey Nut Cheerios for a snack. lol So I guess that Honey Bee in the TV Commercials knows something.
Everything is all good. I'm one of those cases where they always say (and this has happened a few times) "Jamie's one of those cases where you can't judge a book by it's cover and assume things"
I'm a bit of a chunky-monkey and every time when the Docs etc test me out for stuff I'm good, like when they run it when I have been in the hospital, no diabetes or any of that kind of stuff. Yeah I'm chunky, but I'll tell you I eat pretty healthy'ish nothing fancy just basic stuff. idk I've been known to have a salad for breakfast etc
And also (and I'm not a Doctor but I think it's important) I drink A Lot of Water. A lot. I also go on walks with our dog, am active in the yard and stuff. Now don't get it twisted I ain't doing crossfit or anything like that. But I would rather drink a glass of OJ than a soda. But that's just me. What works for me. And the tests are always good, so there's that. And they are always happy to get it when I donate blood. So I do.
