so this happend today
For those of you go wear diapers, and for me who wears for medical reasons, it’s not ideal to have a messy accident. At least not when your out…
so I was feeling bloated this morning but not really for any reason, changed my night time diaper which was wet as usual, not really thinking very far ahead… had my morning coffee and some bananas and Nutella pancakes before heading out to the mall, now as I was bloated I was farting a bit which isn’t unusual. Now as I was looking for some spandex shorts at tjmaxx I had taken some considering distance from other shoppers, as a curtesy, and just felt after a split second that this wasn’t just a fart, there was no way holding back and I was relieved I had a diaper on, and stressed as I didn’t wear a bigger diaper.
I quickly pained for my stuff, the smell hadn’t really started so I went to the car and drove home, lesson learnt is putting on a bigger diaper when feeling bloated as this can happen. I had some biker shorts and panties on over at the store btw. But took them off to show you as I got home. Now I’m just taking some time enjoying the diaper before a change.

TRIGGER WARNINGS - past character death, hallucination, and delirium (might be medically incorrect).
DO NOT SHIP PETER AND TONY. P/roship DNI.
--
It’s a slow day today. Mainly because Tony canceled all of his appointments to take care of a sick Peter Parker.
Admittedly, Tony has never taken care of a sick kid before, but he just knew something was off when he realized Peter was late for school early this morning. Getting there, he found the boy running a high fever, whimpering to himself. Luckily, Peter was able to stomach some tea and enhanced medication Tony found in the lab. F.R.I.D.A.Y hasn’t detected any bad side effects for now.
Halfway through the afternoon, Tony is checking on the Spider-Man suit and the Baby Monitor. He already called both Peter’s school and May to let them know about the kid’s whereabouts. Nothing out of the ordinary for now. Everything seems peaceful…
That is, when F.R.I.D.A.Y gives him a concerning report.
“Peter has gotten out of bed and is now in the hallway. He seems to be in distress.”
Tony freezes. “What do you mean?”
“He appears to be lost and confused, unsure where he is. He must be experiencing a fever delirium, judging by his high body temperature.”
The man drops everything and rushes there, until he stops. Peter is touching the walls as though he has never been here before.
“Peter?” Tony calls him.
The teen looks back, clearly half-asleep. His eyes are deep like outer space. And for some reason, Peter looks shocked to see Tony. As in astonished. As in… he hasn’t seen him in years.
“... Uncle Ben?”
Oh my god.
Tony doesn’t know what to say.
All he knows is that he needs to get Peter back in bed, or else he’s going to get hurt.
“Is it really you?” Peter starts coming his way…
Only to stumble. Tony is not fast enough to catch him before he falls on the floor.
“I got you,” he whispers. The kid is burning. “I got you, you’re okay.”
He tries to help Peter stand…
But the boy instead wraps his arms around Tony very tightly, and he’s sobbing like never before.
“I-I’m sorry,” Peter begs. “I’m s-so sorry, Uncle Ben…”
Once again, Tony is at a loss of words. He can’t just say, I’m not Uncle Ben, he’s dead, he’s been dead for a while. That’s just going to make things worse.
“Peter, I’ll just–” Tony tries to lift him.
“No! Don’t go, please, don’t leave me!”
“Shhh, shh…” Tony embraces him more properly. “I’m not going anywhere, kiddo.”
“I’m sorry, please…”
“Shhh… it’s alright, bud.”
Tony feels awful for… pretending to be Peter’s dead uncle, but again, he knows that doing otherwise wouldn’t help. At the very least it’s enough for Peter to calm down, so Tony is able to guide him back to his room. The blanket was thrown to the floor, so Tony grabs it and tucks Peter in.
“Stay?” Peter grabs Tony’s sleeve.
The latter smiles, trying not to break right now. “Of course.”
Peter even scoots to leave some space for him. Tony protects both of them with the blanket and Peter… immediately glues to him again, sounding relieved and probably the happiest he’s been.
“... I love you,” the kid mumbles.
Tony doesn’t think he’s ever heard these words so clearly, coming from Peter.
They aren’t for Tony, though.
Regardless… “I love you, too, Pete.”
He doesn’t get any answer.
Peter must have fallen asleep again.
He probably didn’t hear Tony.
--
Peter sleeps like a rock.
When Tony is sure he’ll be okay and his fever has gone down, Tony decides to take care of the food. Something lighter so the kid doesn’t feel queasy or anything.
It’s nighttime, the TV is on, when Peter is caught coming to the kitchen, rubbing one of his eyes. He looks a lot better than before.
“Hey, kiddo,” Tony smiles. “Feeling better?”
“Mmm… I think so.”
“Alright, so, I got you some toasts, Gatorade… and a banana. I assume you’re hungry.”
“Yeah… But I think I can eat more than that.”
“Just be careful.”
Admittedly, Tony himself is not too hungry, probably because of stress. He just drinks his classic coffee for now. In the meantime, he watches Peter, who looks like he didn’t have that episode today. However, he still looks contemplative while he eats.
Eventually, Peter hums to himself.
“... Man, I had this weird dream… I woke up in my old apartment and then… I saw my uncle standing right there, calling my name. It was like I had just woken up from a nightmare… But, like, Uncle Ben looked kinda different. He had darker hair and he wasn’t wearing any glasses. But it was him, I knew he was there. He took me to bed and stayed with me until I fell asleep again…”
Just a few seconds later, Peter is laughing at the absurdity of his “dream”.
“Weird, right?” The teen comments and resumes his meal.
It’s so jarring.
Just hours ago, this kid was crying and holding onto Tony for dear life. Peter was begging him to stay. Peter said “I love you” to Tony.
But to him, it wasn’t Tony.
To Peter, it was Uncle Ben who came back to look after him one last time. It was Uncle Ben who told Peter that he loved him and didn’t hate Peter for what happened. Everything was okay then.
Tony can’t for the life of him ruin that. He can’t tell the kid that he was feverish or hallucinating. That would destroy Peter. Tony needs to let him have that, at the very least.
Even if Peter never meant “I love you” to Tony.
(After all, does he deserve it?)
“... are you okay, Mr. Stark?”
Now Peter is the one with a concerned look.
“Yeah, of course,” Tony replies, taking another sip of his coffee.
The teen may not believe him, but he looks away, focusing on his phone next to his plate.
Tony has decided he won’t tell Peter the truth about his “dream”, but… he also feels like he shouldn’t just do nothing about it. Every time he does nothing, something will always go wrong.
The hero knows he can’t fill the emptiness in Peter’s heart. He doesn’t want to replace it. But he doesn’t want Peter to believe it’s not important. It must hurt like hell. It must haunt Peter every single day of his life, even if it’s not obvious all the time. Even if the kid pretends it’s not a big deal.
Tony, for once, leaves the now empty cup of coffee aside. He’s next to Peter now, kneeling down to better face him. The boy looks confused.
“What?” Peter asks.
There are so many words to be said.
But all Tony does is… open his arms.
Peter’s brown eyes widen, knowing what it means.
“Mr. Stark… hey, come on, you don’t have to do that.” He hugs himself instead, looking away.
Tony sighs. “Kid.” He doesn’t say more, but he means more. I’m not doing this out of pity. I’m doing this because I love you. I love you. I love you more than you can imagine.
Peter looks nervous. He’s so hesitant to hug Tony back. Like he’s afraid of doing so. Knowing him, it’s probably because he doesn’t want to hurt Tony, not the other way around.
He eventually complies. He’s trembling.
Tony genuinely wants to cry.
He rubs Peter’s back, to let him know it’s safe.
The teen seems to shiver but in surprise, not because he doesn’t like the contact.
Until he relaxes and lets out a deep sigh.
“... Thanks, Mr. Stark.”
Peter doesn’t just mean the hug.
Tony squeezes him a little tighter.
“Always, kid.”
So many unspoken things.
But at least Tony is there and he’s not leaving.

im playing chicken with fermented foods and SIBO.
it goes like: how many days can I have a spoonful of kimchi without my upper intestine getting too much bacteria?
2 days in a row is too much. But I can eat a spoonful once and be ok.
also i am overwhelmed with my newfound power of not being allergic to half the fruit and vegetable aisle
it's been 9 YEARS since I was able to eat bananas. it's my oldest food allergy symptom. in 2016 I was house sitting and ate two bananas for breakfast and my face swelled up and itched and bled and peeled like crazy and I panicked and took off work.
I made a batch of banana bread muffins and have been eating 2/day for the past week ; u ;
this is going to be such a stress reliever. it's been a year + 2 months that I've been on methylated B vitamins. a year + 3 months since I figured out what NOT A SINGLE DOCTOR COULD.
It still fucks me up that I started having severe symptoms, went to the doctor, the testing gave me the answer to my problems, the doctor just didn't understand or explain it properly.
There is a severe gap between the medical research being done and the treatment patients are getting. I could have avoided almost a decade of pain, frustration, loss of family, loss of opportunities and experiences, if my doctors had been educated on what the tests they ordered meant.
it's only been through the encouragement and support of my friends that I've been able to put myself back together.
I deserve better than this. There are people all over the world working every day so that people don't have to suffer as much, and their work is not being disseminated.
im getting that public health communications degree. and im going to beat the medical system over the head with it.

"Broken & Beautiful" Chapter 20
Well, as you can imagine, my Valentine’s Day surprise is a success. When I concocted this plan, I did so with the goal of helping Jake relax. I wanted nothing more than to ease his tension and relieve at least part of the stress he’s been feeling. That goal has been achieved, and with it comes an added benefit: the massage seems to have inspired him. Shortly after waking up from his power nap, I give Jake the second part of his gift. By the time Valentine’s Day ends, I’m left gripping the sheets and moaning into my pillow while Jake is left exhausted and satisfied.
Both of us end up sleeping in, and I’m the first to wake up. I’m on my side, turned away from Jake, and his arm is draped over me. He seems to be sleeping soundly, and so I feel that I can move without disturbing him. Wrong! I begin to slide away from him, and then he starts to move. I keep trying, and then I let out a little squeak when he tugs me toward him. He holds me close and speaks into my ear, his voice rough from sleep.
“Where do you think you’re going?”
I laugh softly. “Well, I was planning on getting ready for the day.”
“Why?” he asks, giving my earlobe a gentle tug with his teeth.
“Umm ... Ever hear of a thing called work?”
“Screw work,“ he mutters. “Let’s quit our jobs and move to some island that no one else knows about.” He begins to pepper my skin with kisses.
“Mmm ... That sounds nice. No Howard. No Simone. No drama. Just you and me. We’ll build a hut ... which I’ll decorate, of course.”
He kisses the back of my shoulder. “Of course.”
“You’ll fish and hunt.”
“Will I? And while I’m risking my life wandering around, trying to find us something to eat, what will you be doing?”
“Me? I’ll gather coconuts and berries. Bananas, too. And seeing as you’re a terrible cook --"
“Ouch."
I laugh. “I’ll cook whatever it is that you bring back. And because we’ll be on our own private island, we won’t have to worry about clothes.”
“Goodbye, tan lines.” Jake nuzzles my neck.
“And, of course, there’s the skinny dipping before we go back to our hut.”
“So it’s settled, then. We’ll quit.”
I turn to look at him, laughing as he gives me a big smile and bounces his eyebrows up and down. “I’ll search for that island.” I try to pry myself from his grip, but he’s not relenting. “Ugh. Seriously, Jake. You have to let me go.”
“Nope. Don’t want to. You can’t make me.”
I roll my eyes and try again. “Come on!” He still doesn’t relent, and I decide to play dirty. “Jake, I have to pee. If you don’t let me go right now --” He releases me and I pull on my little black robe before I make a mad dash for the bathroom.
We don’t have much time for breakfast, and so we settle for bagels with cream cheese. After I get ready for the day, I make a quick trip to the pharmacy to pick up my birth control medication. I find Jake waiting for me outside of my building, and we walk to work.
Things have taken an awkward turn during Shift Drinks. It turns out that while my first Valentine’s Day with Jake was a success, Will and Tess can’t say the same thing. It took a while to get it out of him, but Will confessed that he and Tess broke up today. Seems that last night, he disclosed to Tess that he thinks he’s falling in love with her. Tess, apparently, doesn’t feel the same way. So their romantic dinner turned into a disaster, and they took separate cabs home. Will is heart-broken, while Tess is in a sulky mood. And me? I'm just trying to stay out of the crossfire as much as possible. I have enough drama in my life without getting sucked into theirs.
Jake is usually the one who’s in charge of the music selection. But seeing as he’s M.I.A. at the moment, it’s my turn. While Lou Reed’s “Dirty Blvd.,” plays over the sound system, I wipe down the bar and begin to set out shot glasses. Wanting to set the right atmosphere, I also dim the lights. After pouring myself some wine, I wander over to where Heather, Ari and Sasha are hanging out.
“Mood lighting, Lilah. Very suave.”
I give Ari a little bow. “Thank you. I do have my moments.” I watch as Tess returns to her seat, lets out a sigh, and finishes off her wine in a few big gulps.
“Can I get the rest of that bottle, please?”
“Wow!” Ari begins. “You’re coming in hot.”
I set the wine bottle down in front of Tess, shaking my head a little as she pours herself another glass. It’s going to be a looong night!
“Yeah. Well ... too much drama,” she responds.
The petty side of me wants to tell her that there wouldn't be so much drama if she didn't stir the pot so much, but I keep my mouth shut. It really isn't her fault if she doesn't love Will. I just hope they don’t make a fourth attempt at having a relationship. This “Will they, won’t they?” nonsense has to got to stop!
Heather jokes that the drama keeps the job fun, while Tess complains that “It’s exhausting.”
Yeah! I bet your arm hurts from all of that pot-stirring, Tess!
Will steps out of the kitchen, gives Tess a mournful glance, and then moves on. I’m about to say something when shouting can be heard coming from the kitchen, and every head turns in that direction. I can’t make out everything that’s being said, but I recognize the voices as belonging to Jake and Scott. I tense up and brace myself, not knowing what’s going to happen next. Jake and Scott both have horrible tempers, and I wouldn’t be surprised if their argument escalated into a brawl.
I begin to approach the kitchen. I am nearly knocked down when Scott bursts through the In side of the kitchen door and mutters one more insult as he storms out. I peer through one of the door windows and find Jake standing behind one of the shelves, reaching for a beer bottle. Oh, this isn’t good. I close my eyes, breathe in and breathe out, and then square my shoulders. If I have any hope of getting through to Jake, I have to be calm.
I take in another calming breath and then let it out, walking through the Out door. “Jake, what happened?”
Jake looks at me and shakes his head. “He’s a fucking adolescent moron.”
“I’m going to need a little more info.”
“I just told him that I’m not opening a place with him. It’s a terrible idea, and it’s a waste of money.”
I furrow my brows at him in confusion. “I don’t get it, though. You seemed excited about starting up your own business.” I approach him, folding my arms across my chest and trying to choose my words carefully. The sea is stormy, and I have to navigate it carefully. “What changed your mind?”
He looks at me, and I swallow nervously. “It’s just a horrible idea. That’s all.”
“Jake --”
He grabs his bottle and turns his back to me, saying “I’m good. Catch up with you later.”
Remembering what happened the last time he was in one of these moods, I follow him. “Oh no, you don’t. You’re not going to wander around the city, getting drunk. You’re coming back to my place.”
“Lilah --”
“There are three rooms that you can be alone in: the living room, the kitchen and the bathroom. If you’re going to be like this, the bedroom is off-limits. That room is my sanctuary, and I won’t have you screwing up its energy.” I reach out and cup his face in my hands, looking him in the eyes. I don’t know how he’s going to respond. But I need to get it through to him that he can’t just wander off again. “Now, you’re coming home with me. End of discussion.”
He frowns at me and narrows his eyes, and I’m pretty sure I’ve just lost him. Sometimes, he’s hard to read. I keep myself steady, refusing to lose eye contact with him. I’m not backing down. Not this time. Finally, with an annoyed sigh, he relents. He may not be too happy with me, but at least he’ll be safe.
The walk back to my apartment is a silent one. He’s not in the mood to talk, and my mind is too busy trying to figure out what could have set him off this time. When we step into my apartment and hang up our coats, he begins to make tracks for my bedroom. If he thinks he’s getting lucky tonight, he’s got another think coming. He’s lucky I’ve allowed him to get this far. I step in front of him and steer him in the direction of the sofa, reminding him that he’ll be spending the night in the living room. While he’s not in the dog house, he isn’t impressing me either. He scoffs, mutters “Whatever,” and then sits down on the sofa.
No matter how hard I try, I can’t get him to open up to me about why he changed his mind. I suspect that Simone has something to do with this, but I can’t be certain. All I know is: things were fine before she pulled him aside for a private conversation. Jake never told me what they talked about, but she must have said something to set him off. When he came back, he seemed different. Sullen. It was like Simone had said something to him that took away a little bit of Jake’s “spark." I’m tempted to talk to Simone about it tomorrow. But after the last confrontation I had with her, I think better of it. I won’t fall into that trap again, and I hope that Jake will open up to me when he’s calmed down.
I spread some blankets out on the floor and lay out some pillows, informing Jake that we’ll both be sleeping on the floor. I want to keep him close, and there's no way that both of us are sleeping on the sofa. He remains quiet as he kicks off his shoes and socks, stretching out on top of one of the blankets while I put his shoes by the door. I’m too drained to be bothered with changing, and so I switch of the lights and lay down next to him. We’re both on our backs, and I’m staring up at the ceiling as I try to quiet my thoughts. Jake’s right arm is next to mine and, as though moving on instinct, I reach out blindly and find his hand.
“Jake, are you going to be okay?”
There’s a pause, and I start to wonder if he’s asleep or if he’s simply refusing to answer. Then he lets out a tired sigh and gives my hand a squeeze, giving me a simple “I’ll be fine,” before he drifts off to sleep.
Neither one of us are feeling very hungry, and so we settle for cereal and toast for breakfast. I’m on my second mug of coffee while Jake is still working on his first, and the silence in the room is deafening. I’m no longer upset with him, but I can tell that he’s still stewing over what happened last night. We’re sitting at my little table, and his brows are furrowed and his mouth is set in a scowl. Given how aggressively he’s buttering his slices of toast, you’d think they’d done something to offend him. I don’t know if he’s angry with me or with Scott, but I’m not liking the energy he’s radiating.
I slice half of a banana into my cereal, watching him carefully as he chews his food. I have two options: I can stay quiet and let him brood, or I can try to convince him to talk to me. Neither option is a great one. But at least if I go with Option #1, I won’t run the risk of having him blow up at me because he’s tired of me pestering him. I decide to go with Option #1.
I finish my breakfast first, taking my dishes and utensils to the sink. My back is turned to Jake as I put the cereal away and clean up the counter, and so I can’t see his expression when he finally speaks to me.
“Simone said that she’s ready to let go of the house.” I set down my cleaning rag and turn to face Jake, leaning against the counter as I wait for him to continue. He doesn’t look at me while he speaks, but at least he’s opening up. “She said I can have my money and do what I want with it.”
I want to ask why that’s a bad thing, but I keep my mouth shut. He’s just started coming out of his shell again, and I don’t want him to reverse course.
“She brought up our childhood. Talked about how shitty it was. There was just ... something about the way she spoke. It was like she was saying goodbye.”
There it is. That’s the problem. Once again, Simone has used Jake’s fear of abandonment against him. And, as always, it’s worked. She has him right where she wants him: trapped in a never-ending cycle of emotional abuse and manipulation. It’s clear to me that she’s addicted to him needing her. It makes her feel important. Significant. It gives her life meaning. Of course she won’t set him free. If she does, she’ll be cut off from the source of her high. If she had simply told Jake that he could have the money and do with it what he pleased, and left it at that, I have a feeling that Jake wouldn’t be where he is now.
I hate her. She’s taken it too far. This time, her manipulation has led him to give up on his dream of starting up a business of his own; of breaking free of Howard and the restaurant. What will she take from him next? What if she tries to manipulate him into making a choice: me or her? I know he loves me. I have no doubt about that. But I wonder: if forced to make a choice, would he choose me? Or would I just become another one of Simone’s victims?

Home Remedies for Upset Stomach: Soothing Digestive Discomfort
Depending of the cause food, stress, or an underlying medical condition an upset stomach can be rather uncomfortable.
These sensations, which range from cramps and indigestion to bloating and nausea, can disrupt your day.
Fortunately, there are some simple home remedies that can help relieve your digestive problems.
Let's look at some natural ways to soothe an upset stomach that are both mild and efficient.
Home Remedies for Upset Stomach
Ginger - A Time-Tested Remedy for Nausea and Stomach Cramps
Ginger's anti-inflammatory qualities have been used for generations to lessen stomach cramps and nausea.
Gingerol, the key ingredient, eases gastrointestinal discomfort and may lessen nausea.
You can add ginger to warm water with honey, chew on a little piece of fresh ginger, or drink it as tea. In this reason, ginger tea or ginger chews might help calm an upset stomach.
Peppermint Tea - Calming Effects on the Digestive Tract
Peppermint tea is a great way to relieve gas and bloating because it relaxes the muscles in your digestive system.
Menthol which has a cooling effect and helps relieve cramps is found in peppermint.
To feel better, just make a cup of peppermint tea, breathe in the soothing scent, and take a long drink.
Yet, because peppermint relaxes the lower esophageal sphincter, it may exacerbate symptoms of acid reflux.
Chamomile - Reducing Inflammation and Aiding Relaxation
In addition to its popular relaxing properties, chamomile can help reduce stomach inflammation while stimulating relaxation, both of which are beneficial for upset stomachs.
For its anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic qualities, chamomile is a fantastic remedy for people who have minor indigestion or stomach cramps.
A warm cup of chamomile tea can help you feel better by calming your digestive tract and mind.
Apple Cider Vinegar - Balancing Stomach Acidity
By balancing stomach acidity, apple cider vinegar (ACV) can help food digestion and lessen gastrointestinal symptoms.
ACV is particularly helpful if low stomach acid is the cause of your unpleasant stomach.
To help in digestion, combine one tablespoon of ACV with a glass of warm water and consume it before meals.
ACV's extreme acidity might hurt your teeth and throat if taken directly, so be cautious to dilute it.
Fennel Seeds - A Natural Solution for Bloating and Gas
Fennel seeds are particularly effective at reducing bloating and gas in an upset stomach.
Due to its carminative qualities, fennel helps in the removal of gas from the digestive system.
After eating, you can either create a tea by steeping the fennel seeds in hot water or chew on a teaspoon of the seeds.
This treatment works especially well for cramps and bloating.
Bananas - Easy-to-Digest and High in Potassium
Rich in potassium and easy on the stomach, bananas can help restore nutrients lost as a result of digestive problems.
Bananas' high fiber content stimulates regular bowel motions and helps with digestion.
Bananas are the perfect snack when you start to feel nauseous because of their natural sugars, which provide you a rapid energy boost.
For extra calming benefits, you should try eating a ripe banana by itself or combining it into a smoothie with yogurt.

Baking Soda and Water - A Simple, Effective Antacid
Baking soda can quickly relieve acid reflux and heartburn by neutralizing stomach acid.
Baking soda and water combine to form an alkaline solution that helps in balancing the pH of the stomach.
Use this cure by slowly drinking a glass of water with half a teaspoon of baking soda added.
Because baking soda contains a lot of sodium, use this cure with caution if you are following a low-sodium diet.

Natural Remedies for Morning Sickness During Pregnancy
Morning sickness is one of the most common discomforts that women experience during pregnancy, especially in the early months. Although it’s called “morning” sickness, nausea can occur at any time of the day. While medications are available to manage it, many expectant mothers prefer natural remedies to relieve their symptoms safely. In this blog, we’ll explore some natural and effective remedies for morning sickness.
Understanding Morning Sickness
Morning sickness is typically caused by the hormonal changes that occur during pregnancy. The rise in hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) levels and estrogen can lead to nausea and vomiting. Other factors, such as fatigue, stress, and certain smells, can also trigger symptoms. While morning sickness can make daily activities difficult, it usually subsides after the first trimester.
Natural Remedies for Morning Sickness
Ginger: Ginger is one of the most effective natural remedies for morning sickness. Whether in tea, supplements, or even ginger candies, it has been shown to reduce nausea significantly. Many pregnant women find that consuming ginger helps soothe their stomach and reduces the frequency of nausea.
Stay Hydrated: Dehydration can worsen the symptoms of morning sickness. Sipping on water throughout the day or opting for fluids like lemon water, mint tea, or electrolyte drinks can keep your hydration levels up and ease nausea.
Eat Small, Frequent Meals: Instead of eating three large meals, opt for smaller, more frequent meals throughout the day. Eating light, bland foods like crackers, toast, or bananas can help keep nausea at bay.
Vitamin B6 Supplements: Studies have shown that Vitamin B6 can help reduce nausea during pregnancy. Consult your healthcare provider to know the right dosage, as too much of it can cause side effects.
Aromatherapy: Scents like lemon, peppermint, and lavender can provide relief from nausea. Keep a bottle of essential oil with you and take a sniff whenever you start feeling queasy.
Acupressure: Applying pressure to certain points, such as your wrist, can help ease nausea. There are special acupressure wristbands designed specifically for this purpose.
Rest and Relaxation: Morning sickness can often worsen when you're tired or stressed. Make sure you get plenty of rest, and try relaxation techniques such as deep breathing, prenatal yoga, or meditation to stay calm and relaxed.
Avoid Triggers: Identify and avoid any foods, smells, or situations that seem to trigger your nausea. Every pregnancy is different, and what works for one woman might not work for another, so listen to your body.
FAQ
Q: How long does morning sickness usually last? Morning sickness generally starts around the 6th week of pregnancy and peaks at about 9 to 12 weeks. For most women, it subsides by the end of the first trimester. However, for some, it can last longer, even up to the 20th week or beyond.
Q: Is morning sickness harmful to the baby? Mild to moderate morning sickness is generally not harmful to the baby. However, if you experience excessive vomiting, it can lead to dehydration and malnutrition, which can be harmful. In such cases, you should consult a doctor at the top gynae hospital in Greater Noida for proper care.
Q: Can morning sickness be severe? Yes, in some cases, women may experience a more severe form of morning sickness called hyperemesis gravidarum. If you have persistent vomiting and cannot keep any food or water down, visit the best gynae hospital near me to get appropriate treatment and support.
Conclusion
Morning sickness, while uncomfortable, is a natural part of pregnancy for many women. The good news is that there are several natural remedies that can help manage nausea and make your pregnancy journey more comfortable. Ginger, staying hydrated, eating small meals, and avoiding triggers can go a long way in providing relief. Consult with your gynecologist before following any remedies.

Treating Bone Pain From Neulasta and Neupogen
Bone pain is a common side effect of Neulasta (pegfilgrastim) and Neupogen (filgrastim), which are medications given after chemotherapy to increase one's white blood cell count. While these medications are effective in reducing the risk of infection, they can also cause bone pain since they stimulate the bone marrow to produce more white blood cells. Pain can vary in intensity, from mild to severe. Commonly affected areas include the lower back, hips, thighs, and sternum. Here is a comprehensive approach to help manage and alleviate bone pain.
1. Dietary Adjustments
Anti-inflammatory Foods: Incorporate foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids (like salmon, flaxseeds, and walnuts), antioxidants (such as berries, leafy greens, and nuts), and spices like turmeric and ginger, which have natural anti-inflammatory properties.
Hydration: Staying well-hydrated helps maintain overall health and can alleviate some discomfort. Aim for at least 8-10 glasses of water a day.
Magnesium-Rich Foods: Magnesium can help relax muscles and ease pain. Include foods such as spinach, almonds, avocados, and bananas in your diet.
2. Natural Supplements
Omega-3 Fatty Acids: Omega-3 supplements can reduce inflammation and may help alleviate bone pain. Fish oil and kelp (which is vegan) are common sources. The recommended daily dose is 1,000 mg per day.
Vitamin D and Calcium: These nutrients are vital for bone health. Ensure adequate intake of both to support bone strength and potentially reduce pain. Most adults need 5,000 IU of vitamin D per day to maintain ideal levels, but ask your doctor based on your current vitamin D level. The recommended daily intake of calcium is 1,000 mg per day.
Magnesium: This mineral can help relax muscles and ease pain. Consider a magnesium supplement. The recommended dose is usually 300-400 mg per day.
3. Herbal Remedies
Turmeric and Ginger: Both herbs have potent anti-inflammatory effects. Turmeric can be taken as a supplement or added to meals, while ginger can be consumed as tea or in food.
Boswellia: Boswellia (frankincense) is an herbal extract that has anti-inflammatory properties and can be an effective natural pain reliever. The recommended dose is 500 mg, twice a day.
Willow Bark: Known as nature's aspirin, willow bark can help reduce inflammation and pain. The daily dose should be equal to 240 mg of salicin (active ingredient) per day.
4. Conventional Treatment
Tylenol: Ask your doctor before taking as tylenol should not be taken by those with liver disease. The recommended dose is 500 - 1,000 mg every 6 hours, as needed.
Loratadine: Loratadine (Claritin) is an antihistamine that can reduce bone pain due to reducing the amount of histamines in the body and reducing inflammation. The recommended dose for adults is 10 mg per day. Make sure to ask your doctor before taking this, especially if you have kidney or liver disease.
5. Physical Therapies
Acupuncture: Acupuncture has been proven to decrease pain by turning off pain signals in the brain, releasing endorphins in the bloodstream, reducing inflammation, and circulating Qi and Blood.
Massage Therapy: Professional massage can improve circulation, reduce muscle tension, and provide pain relief.
Gentle Exercise: Regular, low-impact exercises like walking, swimming, or yoga can help maintain mobility and reduce pain. Exercise also releases endorphins, which are natural painkillers.
6. Lifestyle Adjustments
Adequate Rest: Ensure you are getting enough sleep as it is essential for the body to heal and recover.
Stress Management: Chronic stress can exacerbate pain. Incorporate stress-reducing activities into your routine, such as hobbies, spending time in nature, or practicing meditation, and/or relaxation techniques.
Conclusion
Managing bone pain from Neulasta and Neupogen involves an integrative approach. Combining dietary adjustments, natural supplements, herbal remedies, conventional treatment, physical therapies, and lifestyle adjustments can offer significant relief. Always consult with healthcare providers before starting any new treatment to ensure it’s safe and appropriate for your specific condition.

Magnesium Glycinate Benefits
Magnesium glycinate can help improve sleep quality, relieve PMS symptoms, strengthen bones and teeth, and enhance overall health - but what exactly is this miracle mineral? Magnesium can be found in many foods, such as leafy greens, avocado, bananas and fatty fish. You can also take it as a dietary supplement. Boosts Energy Many Americans are deficient in magnesium, an essential nutrient which can boost energy levels, ease fatigue, relax muscles and nerves, support bone health and manage blood pressure. Magnesium can be found in many food sources such as spinach, broccoli, pumpkin seeds and black beans; however, those suffering from digestive issues, medication side-effects or having chronic diarrhea may find it more challenging to absorb enough magnesium through diet alone. Our magnesium glycinate supplement is bound to glycine, an amino acid naturally present in our bodies, to enhance absorption and make digestion simpler. It may cause less side effects like loose stools compared with citrate or oxide magnesium supplements; making this ideal for individuals with sensitive stomachs. Furthermore, this form of magnesium supports normal psychological functioning, muscle functioning and electrolyte balance. Reduces Migraines Magnesium deficiency can lead to several health complications, including migraine headaches. Studies have demonstrated how taking magnesium supplements can increase levels in the blood, helping decrease severity and frequency of migraine headaches. Magnesium may help prevent migraine attacks by blocking NMDA receptors and inhibiting the release of pain-inducing chemicals in the brain. Once an attack begins, magnesium helps soothe symptoms by relaxing muscle spasms, widening blood vessels, and alleviating tension. Magnesium glycinate can also help promote better sleep. Magnesium can alleviate anxiety and promote relaxation, both of which make it easier for the user to fall asleep at night - potentially even helping with insomnia! As part of your daily regimen, add magnesium glycinate supplements from our Wellness Shop without needing a valid prescription. Other Cove products designed to promote good sleeping include buckwheat pillows and Super B dietary supplements which contain riboflavin, vitamin C and folate (B9) to maintain optimal cellular energy production. Helps You Sleep Magnesium glycinate can be an invaluable help for those experiencing difficulty sleeping or insomnia, helping reduce stress and anxiety levels and promote relaxation and stimulating production of melatonin. Magnesium glycinate has also been found to aid fatigue by supporting neurotransmitter function and mood regulation, and is an essential nutrient for maintaining normal blood pressure and lowering risk for cardiovascular diseases. Magnesium glycinate can provide significant stress-reliever and migraine-headache prevention benefits. You can obtain this essential nutrient through food sources like dark leafy green vegetables, legumes, nuts and bananas; alternatively it can be taken in supplement form. Prior to beginning any new supplement regimen including magnesium glycinate it's wise to consult your healthcare provider first to make sure it's suitable and determine how much to take at once. Helps You Stay Healthy Magnesium glycinate is widely recognized for having superior bioavailability over magnesium oxide and citrate, meaning that your body finds it easier to absorb. Furthermore, magnesium glycinate is less likely to cause digestive issues like diarrhea compared to these options, making it suitable for people with sensitive stomachs. Helps lower blood pressure and prevent hypertension; lowers cardiovascular disease risk by lowering blood sugar levels; helps alleviate anxiety and PMS symptoms by decreasing prostaglandin release that trigger pain, mood swings and fatigue; can also reduce PMS symptoms by helping control prostaglandin release that causes them. As magnesium deficiency is relatively uncommon, certain health conditions and medications may lead to decreased levels of this essential mineral. If you suspect having one, or believe you might, talk with your physician about taking supplements - they will recommend the right dose for your specific needs and provide advice on interacting with any medications you might be taking as well as testing levels to ensure they're within normal ranges. Why Is My Stomach So Sensitive Lately? Causes & Solutions
Does your stomach feel weird lately? Maybe it's grumbling when you didn't even eat much, or you feel a bit gassy and bloated. A sensitive stomach is such a drag. It can make you uncomfortable and unsure about what to eat. If you keep asking yourself, "Why is my stomach so sensitive lately?" – don't worry, you're not alone! Let's figure out what's bothering your belly and what you can do about it. What Causes a Sensitive Stomach? There are loads of reasons your stomach might be giving you trouble. Some are easy to fix, while others need a bit more attention. Here's a look at common culprits: - Indigestion: Troublemaker #1 Everyone gets indigestion occasionally. It happens when you eat too much, too fast, or go for foods that are spicy, fatty, or hard to break down. Think of it as your stomach saying, "Whoa, slow down!" The result? Bloating, gas, and maybe even mild pain. - Food Intolerances or Sensitivities: The Sneaky Suspects Ever eaten something that made your stomach go nuts, even though it didn't bother anyone else? You might have a food intolerance. Common ones are: * Lactose intolerance: Trouble digesting dairy (hello, upset stomach after ice cream!) * Gluten sensitivity: Wheat, barley, and rye make your belly unhappy. * Other sensitivities: FODMAPs (a type of carb), fructose, eggs...the list goes on! Is it more than just food? - Stomach Infections: When Germs Attack Ugh, the dreaded stomach bug! Viruses or bacteria can cause vomiting, diarrhea, and leave your stomach super sensitive. Usually, this passes in a few days, but keep those fluids up! - Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS): The Chronic Culprit IBS is a whole different ballgame. It's a long-term condition that messes with your gut, causing pain, bloating, changes in how often you go to the bathroom. - Stress and Anxiety: Your Gut's Worst Enemy Did you know there's a strong link between your brain and your gut? When you're stressed, your digestion gets out of whack, leaving you with stomachaches and other annoying symptoms. - Medications: They Can Help AND Hurt Some meds are lifesavers, but they can have side effects – and upset stomach is a common one. Antibiotics, pain relievers like ibuprofen, and even some supplements can irritate your tummy. How to Calm a Sensitive Stomach Now that we've looked at what causes the trouble, let's get to the good stuff – solutions! Here are some ways to tame your tummy and feel better: - Dietary Changes: Listen to Your Gut If you suspect certain foods are the problem, it's elimination diet time! But don't just guess – a food diary can help. Note what you eat, how much, and any symptoms. You might pinpoint patterns to avoid in the future. - Bland is Best (For Now) When your stomach's in revolt, give it a break. Stick to gentle foods like the BRAT diet: - Bananas - Rice - Applesauce - ToastAdd other easy-to-digest goodies as you improve: yogurt, crackers, cooked veggies. - Hydration: Your Stomach's BFF Water is key for digestion, and it helps flush out stuff that might be irritating you. Aim for plenty throughout the day. Bored with plain water? Try herbal teas or add a squeeze of lemon or some cucumber slices! - Over-the-Counter Remedies: When You Need Backup - Antacids: Neutralize stomach acid for quick relief from heartburn or indigestion. - Bismuth subsalicylate (Pepto-Bismol): Coats and soothes your stomach, plus helps with diarrhea - Probiotics: "Good" bacteria for gut health (find them in yogurt or supplements) - Stress Management Techniques: Calm Mind, Calm Belly - Deep breathing: Simple but powerful! Slow, focused breaths calm your whole system. - Mindfulness: Notice your thoughts without judgment, helps break stress cycles. - Exercise: Even light walks boost mood and help things move along smoothly. - Natural Remedies: The Power of Plants - Ginger: A nausea-fighting superstar. Sip ginger tea or add grated ginger to meals. - Chamomile: This gentle herb soothes the stomach and helps promote better sleep - Peppermint: Can help with bloating and gas. Try peppermint tea or capsules When to See a Doctor Most of the time, a sensitive stomach clears up on its own with a little care. But don't ignore these red flags – they mean it's time to call your doctor: - Why is my stomach so sensitive lately, and it won't go away? Stomach troubles lasting more than a few days need professional help. - Severe pain: More than mild discomfort is a major warning sign. - Blood in your stool (black or red): This could be serious, don't wait. - Weight loss you can't explain: This points to an underlying issue. FAQs - Q: Is it normal for my stomach to be sensitive all the time? A: No, it's not normal. While occasional tummy troubles happen, persistent sensitivity might mean something else is going on. Track your symptoms and if they don't improve, talk to your doctor. - Q: What helps relieve a sensitive stomach quickly? A: Besides the tips we've covered, here are a few fast-acting ideas: * Settle nausea: Small sips of clear liquids (broth, diluted juice), bland crackers* Soothe cramping: A warm compress or heating pad on your belly works wonders. - Q: Can stress really cause a sensitive stomach? A: Absolutely! Stress messes with your hormones and digestion big time. That's why managing stress is CRUCIAL for gut health. - Q: Are there any tests to find out why my stomach is sensitive? A: Yes! Depending on your symptoms, your doctor might recommend tests like: * Food Allergy or Intolerance tests: Pinpoint problems with specific foods. * Stool tests: Check for infections, bacteria imbalances, or inflammation. * Imaging tests: X-rays, CT scans...for more detailed looks inside. Additional Tips for Managing a Sensitive Stomach Here are a few more ideas to keep your tummy happy on a regular basis: - Eat smaller meals more often: Keeps your digestion from getting overloaded. - Chew your food well: Helps break it down before it even hits your stomach. - Watch out for hidden triggers: Sugary drinks, caffeine, and alcohol can also be irritants. - Listen to your body: It knows best – if a food bothers you, avoid it, no matter what "healthy food lists" say! Fact: Did you know that your gut contains millions of neurons, making it like a "second brain?" No wonder it reacts so strongly to food and emotions! Foods to Enjoy vs. Limit Foods to EnjoyFoods to Limit or AvoidBananas, Rice, Applesauce, ToastFatty or greasy foodsPlain yogurt (if tolerated)Dairy (especially if you have lactose intolerance)Cooked vegetables (start with softer ones)Spicy foodsHerbal teasSugary drinks and sodasLean protein sources (chicken, fish)Processed snacks Note: This is a general guideline, what works for one person might not for another! 9 Best Foods That Help Fight Depression
By Kathryn Strickland, RD | Registered Dietitian January 3, 2023
Depression is a mental health disorder that is characterized by persistent spells of low mood, sadness, and disinterest that negatively impacts your personal, professional, and social life. This poor quality of life can even reduce your lifespan by causing premature mortality.
Depression stems from a combination of factors that can be biological, social, or psychological in nature and can cause mental distress in different ways. (2)
Some of these factors such as your lifestyle choices are controllable, whereas others such as genetics are beyond your control. The controllable factors can be managed to improve overall mental health and reduce the risk of depression, and a lot of research is being conducted on this topic in recent times. (3)
There is no cure for depression, but it can be managed through medication and mental health counseling combined with the recommended lifestyle changes. Your diet can also play a role in fighting depression and improving your overall mental well-being.
Foods to Fight Depression Here is a list of foods that have shown to positively impact brain health and mood and, therefore, may prove helpful in managing depression.
Green tea frequent green tea intake can benefit those with depression Frequent green tea intake may benefit those with depression if consuming more than 3 cups a day. This may be possibly due to its high content of polyphenols, which is a micronutrient that can lower stress levels in the body, and/or due to theanine, an amino acid that can help protect the brain and make it function properly. (5) Green tea may also help fight depression due to other factors such as being in a social environment, having a healthier lifestyle, or reducing stress while preparing and consuming the tea. The research is still unclear what aspect of drinking green tea fights depression.
Salmon eating salmon can help with depressive symptoms Salmon is high in omega-3 fatty acids, which can help with depression symptoms by increasing positive mood. Correlation studies have seen a decrease in mental disorders when there is an increase in fish consumption. (6) This may be due to the high content of DHA in salmon or another factor. Research is still looking into the best way to help increase a positive mood with DHA or supplementation.
Dark chocolate eating dark chocolate can help elevate your mood Many people like eating dark chocolate, and the good news is it has been shown to potentially reduce stress levels, just not elevate the mood. (7) So, enjoy eating dark chocolate to reduce stress – just don’t expect it to fight depression.
Eggs egg consumption can help in your fight against depression Can an egg a day keep depression away? That is debatable according to research. One study showed that eggs helped to fight depression possibly due to the B vitamin content of eggs, while another showed that eggs had no effect on depression possibly due to their cholesterol content. (8) It is unlikely that one food item could aid against depression. However, it is possible that eggs along with other dietary choices such as consuming more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains may help relieve depression. (9)
Bananas bananas can help people with depression feel better Bananas are high in fiber and potassium, and research has shown that people who eat bananas feel better. (10) This correlates with another study that showed individuals perceived a decrease in depression symptoms after eating a banana. Whether or not bananas can alleviate depression symptoms, it seems clear that people feel better or even happier after eating bananas. (11)
Avocado avocados can help fight against depressive symptoms Avocados have the potential to fight against depression due to their magnesium content. (12)
Blueberries blueberries can help elevate your mood Blueberries are full of antioxidants and can elevate the mood. (13) It’s unclear if this small superfood can help fight depression, but an elevated mood is much better than a negative one.
Spinach Spinach is a leafy green that should be eaten by the majority of the population. It is high in iron and calcium, (14) and it has the potential to boost your energy levels by preventing iron deficiency. At this point, the research is unclear if spinach can fight depression, but again it can improve mood.
Asparagus eat asparagus to help prevent depression and boost your mood Asparagus is another vegetable that when eaten can improve and elevate your mood. (15) This effect is likely due to its high folate and tryptophan content. Tryptophan gets converted to serotonin, a neurotransmitter that is known to elevate mood. (16) Again, there needs to be more research to determine if asparagus can fight against depression. However, given its high content of folate, tryptophan, and fiber, asparagus is a good vegetable to eat regularly.
What other lifestyle changes should be made to fight depression?
Adopting a Mediterranean diet, which consists of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and fish, promotes anti-inflammatory effects in the body. This is important as a pro-inflammatory diet high in refined carbs, sugar, and saturated fat can lead to more depressive symptoms.
Exercise should also be included in the fight against depression. Research has shown only a modest effect of exercise on elevating a person’s depressive symptoms. However, exercise can also increase heart rate and increase blood flow throughout the body. (20)
Final Word
The foods you eat affect your brain health, so you have to be mindful of your dietary choices. Eating right can help reduce the risk and severity of depressive episodes, but it is only a small part of the treatment approach.
Depression is multifactorial and should be treated as such, which means that you should examine your eating habits, physical activity, stress levels, social life, professional life, and need for professional help including medication if needed. (21)
Be aware of the barriers to change as depression can make people less motivated to change lifestyle habits or seek professional help.

Gastritis Reimagined: Transformative Treatment Modalities.
Gastritis is a common condition that causes inflammation or irritation of the stomach lining. It can be caused by infection with bacteria like Helicobacter pylori, consumption of alcohol or painkillers, or due to stress and acid reflux. Gastritis symptoms include abdominal pain, nausea, bloating, and loss of appetite. Here are some effective treatments to manage gastritis: Medication Therapy Medications are often prescribed to treat gastritis depending on the underlying cause. Antacids are commonly used over-the-counter drugs that neutralize stomach acid and provide quick relief from symptoms. They include medications like calcium or magnesium based antacids. For gastritis caused by H. pylori infection, antibiotics along with proton pump inhibitors are prescribed. Proton pump inhibitors like omeprazole, lansoprazole and pantoprazole work by reducing the amount of acid produced by the stomach. Common antibiotic regimens include clarithromycin and amoxicillin with proton pump inhibitors for 2 weeks. This helps eradicate the H. pylori infection and promotes healing of the stomach lining. Dietary Modifications Diet plays an important role in treating gastritis. It is advisable to avoid alcohol, coffee, soda, and spicy or acidic foods that can worsen inflammation. Large meals should also be divided into smaller, frequent portions that are easier to digest. Some recommended dietary changes include: - Bland foods like boiled rice, gluten-free pasta, steamed vegetables etc. that are gentle on the stomach - Yogurt and kefir which contain probiotics to promote gut healing - Bananas which are easy to digest and contain natural anti-inflammatory properties Lifestyle Modifications Making some simple lifestyle tweaks can help manage gastritis naturally: - Managing stress through yoga, meditation or deep breathing exercises. Stress increases stomach acid levels. - Quitting smoking and limiting caffeine intake which irritate the stomach lining. - Limiting use of pain relievers as far as possible to avoid potential stomach problems. Herbal Remedies Several herbs have medicinal properties that aid gastritis treatment when taken under medical guidance: - Licorice root contains compounds that soothe inflammation in the stomach and intestines. - Aloe vera juice works as a natural antacid and protects the stomach lining against damage. - Slippery elm bark coats and soothes the digestive tract when inflammation is present. - Marshmallow root extract forms a protective film over the stomach and helps replace its lost mucus barrier. - Chamomile tea has mild sedative effects and reduces stomach spasms. - Turmeric with its active compound curcumin fights inflammation and aids healing. - Ginger root alleviates nausea and improves digestion. Herbal supplements administered correctly as part of an anti-gastritis regime may offer relief along with conventional treatment methods. But it is wise to check for interactions with any prescription drugs. Long Term Management For ongoing prevention of gastritis flares, it is important to maintain lifestyle modifications even after medications are complete. Periodic testing may be advised to check complete eradication of H. pylori infection. In summary, a multidimensional approach combining prescription medications, dietary alterations, stress management techniques and herbal remedies offers the most comprehensive treatment for gastric inflammation. With lifestyle modifications and regular medical follow-ups, it is possible to keep gastritis symptoms in check long term.

8 ways to treat headaches without medication – Koperacija
Migraines are intense throbbing headaches, often accompanied by nausea, vomiting and extreme sensitivity to light and saound. According to Mayo Clinic, the cause of migraines is still largely unknown, though migraine sufferers can often identify their personal triggers. Triggers can be anything from hormonal changes to stress and from sun glare to a change in the barometric pressure during a storm. These disabling headaches effect a whopping 36 million Americans, according to the American Migraine Foundation. One in four households in America has a member who suffers from migraines, so whether you or a loved one, use these home remedies to prevent migraines and soothe pain during an attack.1. Vicks VapoRub. Alison Jacobson, the blogger behind Safety Mom, says that when she has a headache, applying Vicks VapoRub to her temples and forehead is so powerful, it reduces pain and pressure almost immediately. The proof for this remedy comes from the Department of Neurology at Thomas Jefferson University, which found intense pain from migraines was reduced after two hours following the application of a menthol gel similar to Vicks VapoRub. The soothing effects of menthol are also found in peppermint essential oils. Lori, of the Health Extremist blog, claims a homemade mixture of peppermint essential oil and water or coconut oil, when applied directly to the forehead and temples, relieves pain within 30 minutes to one hour. 2. Ice and banana peel compress. This might sound a bit wacky, until you realize ice wrapped in a banana peel is nothing more than a potassium-rich cold compress. Mayo Clinic recommends applying a cold compress to the head and neck in order to dull the pain of a migraine. Place a banana peel on your forehead with ice, as recommended by Peas Health, you get the added benefit of potassium absorbed directly through the skin.3. Olive oil. A study by the Divisions of Adolescent Medicine in Providence, RI found that olive oil, as well as fish oil, is effective at reducing the frequency, duration and severity of recurrent migraines in adolescents. The reason behind the success of olive oil and fish oil lies in the fact that both contain long chains of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, building blocks for hormones that regulate blood clotting, contraction and relaxation of artery walls, and inflammation, according to the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.4. Lavender oil. Just two drops of lavender in a pot of boiling water can be enough to soothe your throbbing migraine. Inhale the lavender vapors and feel relief wash over you, recommends Everyday Health. A study published in European Neurologysuggests inhaling lavender essential oil for 15 minutes is an effective and safe treatment for migraine headaches. It works because lavender has properties that reduce anxiety, stabilize mood, soothe muscle spasms, and reduce hypertension.5. Eat more flax seed. Flax seed is a superfood that has been used since the time of the ancient Egyptians to treat constipation, hot flashes and breast pain, as well as high cholesterol and migraines, according to Migraine.com. Flax seed is high in fiber and omega-3 essential fatty acids, which improve brain function and lower the risk of heart disease. Wholesomeone recommends mixing flaxseeds in with a smoothie, oatmeal or even just with water to reap the benefits. You may be surprised that by introducing flaxseed into your diet, you can decrease the frequency of migraines.6. Honey. The Foundation for Advancement in Cancer Therapy(FACT) has found that eating two teaspoons of raw honey during mealtimes can prevent migraine attacks. It is also effective at quelling symptoms. FACT recommends a heaping tablespoon of honey at the first sign of migraine symptoms. Honey does not need to be digested and absorbs directly into the blood stream, making it a quick and effective treatment. Honey is also soothing to the stomach, making it a perfect treatment for people who suffer from nausea during a migraine attack.
