Last post about the new Eddsworld Episode because I try not to be too negative here:

I have a test, that very few pieces of media actually fail. I call it the "South Park Test". If they're talking about a controversial subject, and South Park also talked about it, I think about how South Park handled the same subject.

If South Park manages to talk about it in a deeper, more nuanced, and kinder way than the other piece of media did, then there is no way to actually salvage however the fuck they were talking about it, and they need to start from scratch. I need to say, flat-out, there have only been a few things that have actually failed, none of which are relevant to this conversation. Usually, they pass.

Eddsworld failed. South Park managed to approach the topic of gay shipping and fandom with much more grace than I think Matt Hargreaves has in his pinky finger, which is even funnier when you remember the shipbait that's been happening prior to this.

(Also, interestingly enough, the "haha shipping is so weird let's laugh at shippers" tends to mainly happen later once they've run out of ideas. See: Sherlock, Supernatural. The fact that it's happening so early in Matt's tenure is... Not a great sign?)

Objectively the funniest difference between me as an alter VS pretty much the rest of the system is that I find porn in general to be fairly mid and don't care that much

Pros of knitting:

Feels nice from both a fictive and stim perspective

It's a nice stress-reliever

I'll end up with something tangible when I'm done

Cons:

With the way the needles are built, as well as how I position my hands when knitting, the end of the left-hand needle keeps working its way into the sleeve of my red turtleneck, and I have to readjust it every so often
