Honestly, the whole issue of people basically expecting others to change their content to make fandom "better" for them personally has always been an issue.

Does no one remember the 100s of anti-yaoi groups and people who basically kept asking/begging people in fandom to not make yaoi (or really any m/m or same-sex content)cause...*Checks notes* They personally did not like gay ships/could not see those characters together personally.
